I don't know if this is the right place to put teams. So if not please correct me and have a otter picture instead.
Whimsicott @ Coba Berry
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Timid Natur
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tailwind
- Memento
- Taunt
- Moonblast
It's main purpose is to set up tailwind since I really annoyed to fight pokemon like Aerodactyl and Greninja. Taunt stops other tailwind setters such as Togekiss and taunt foes' Whimsicott hoping it lands first because of speed tie. Since their are alot of dark types in this metagame, Moonblast is best for damaging the foes while it is still alive. When Whimsicott is almost to faint, there is Memento for weakening powerful mons and also takes out the weakness policy boost for pokemon like Tyranitar. Coba Berry for Whimsicott because I'm really cautious with aerodactyl with Sky Drop which my opponent can set up or faint my other pokemon.
Yanmega @ Occa Berry
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Bug Buzz
- Detect
- Hidden Power [Ice]
I was really glad that Yanmega is part of this competition. First of, Yanmega has the amazing ability, Speed Boost. When it has +1 Speed, it outspeeds all pokemon in the metagame even Aerodactyl. With Occa Berry, it can withstand Heat Wave and Flamethrower of both Delphox and Chandelure (but not Chandelure's Overheat which it KOes Yanmega completely). Air Slash and Bug Buzz are both STABs for more power, Detect to stall time or scouts enemies, and HP Ice for Aerodactyl, Hydreigon, Kommo-o and the many grass types here in this metagame.
Chandelure @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Protect
- Shadow Ball
- Imprison / Will o Wisp / Sunny Day
Like Alolan Marowak in the VGC, Chandelure's role is to counter fire type moves with its ability Flash Fire since most of my team has fire weakness. With Colbur Berry, Chandelure can withstand Tyranitar's Crunch, Weavile's Night Slash and etc. Flamethrower over Fire Blast because I'm not a lucky guy and Shadow Ball for another STAB for Chandelure. I cant' decide on it's last move slot. I can wisp physical attackers and also disrupt pokemon with the weakness policy boost, Sunny Day so no more Sandstorm from Tyranitar and also Imprison, which I can stop my opponents from protecting.
Virizion @ Yache Berry
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Leaf Blade
- Stone Edge
- Protect
Virizion is my counter to heavy hitter Terrakion which can destroy my team without it. Yache Berry for ice type pokemon like Weavile and Mamoswine. With Justified, Virizion can get attack boosts with proper predictions. Close Combat and Leaf Blade as STAB.
Tyranitar @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Rock Polish
- Rock Slide
- Crunch
- Iron Head
For this team, my WP user is Tyranitar. Tyranitar has outstanding attack stat combining with great bulk, it is surely a main pick for a WP users in this metagame. With the ability Unnerve, all berries in the foe's area are not usable and all of them and KOes straight away with a super effective move. Rock Polish boosts its mediocre Speed stat to enough levels that can speed tie with Greninja. Rock Slide has a chance for flinching that may annoy the foe and Crunch, both have STAB. For Fairy and Ice types, Tyranitar punishes both with Iron Head.
I'm still not sure on my 6th slot because I don't know what is missing. I could put a TR abuser when my opponent has a Oblivious slowbro/king, Ribombee with Sweet Veil to avoid Breloom with Spore shenanigans or a Fake Out user to counter foe's Prankster Whimsicott.
