In all seriousness

Though I knew this was coming it still hit pretty hard. But what hurt me even harder was what I didn't expect, the reveal of Cloud's true backstory, which they suspend revealing for quite a while. And they actually make you believe it's going to be some stupid bullshit that he's a fake clone or something before pulling off the double twist that is ultimately satisfying and pulls everything together. Anyway, this game made me extremely melancholy for about a week.

Zero 4 Ending

Melancholy basically describes this game from start to finish and the soundtrack hits that home so hard. One of the saddest games I've ever played and it didn't help that I played it in March during what was pretty much my lowest point this year.
