Welcome to the first tournament of the Smogon VGC 2023 tournament circuit! We're so happy to put on another year of competitive events and we hope you'll join us in celebrating the new games' release by playing in the Scarlet and Violet VGC kickoff tour.
All you have to do to sign up for the tournament is post "in" in this thread. Signups will run for one week until December 4 @ 6:59 PM GMT-5. At that point, round 1 will be posted.
Rules and Disclaimers
We do not have official confirmation of VGC rules at the time of these signups, but as the ranked ladder will begin on December 1st, we will most likely have the rules set in place. If for some reason we have no rules by the start of the tournament, we will use the unofficial Battle Stadium Doubles rules currently on Pokemon Showdown.
Rounds will last for one week. By signing up to play in this tournament, you are committing to logging onto Smogon multiple times each week to schedule with your opponents and post your match results.
All matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown. Additionally, all replays will be required. If you don't feel comfortable submitting your replays, this isn't the tournament for you.
Tournament format will be Single Elimination, best-of-three matches with team lock on. You may change teams in between rounds.
