All the movies I would have said were mentioned but still,

I'll make a list of my favorite comedy movies(in no order at all):

Zoolander- "I'm a merman. Merman!"

Borat- "This suit is NOT black."

Taladega Nights- Cheetah in the car.

Step Brothers- "I'm gonna put my balls on your drumset."

Anchorman- Jazz Flute, Jack Black kicking the dog off the bridge(or highway).

Tropic Thunder- Just great, even white people playing black people.

Harold and Kumar go to White Castle- "I couldn't wake you up so I tried something really gay."

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay- "Woah your balls are like Osama Bin Ladin's beard."

Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny- Great Jack Black movie

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back- Lots of great things in this movie but the most memorable was the lightsaber fight.

I must say, the first and third American Pie movies were hilarious. The others.. pretty bad.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Shaun of the Dead are favourites as well.
I can't believe no one mentioned Shrek yet.

EDIT: Totally forgot Harold and Kumar, and also Superbad. Both of these were great. I usually like stoner movies. Pineapple Express was awesome as well.

EDIT2: The Darjeeling Limited was great!

One classic comedy is Some Like it Hot. It's from 1959 but it's such a classic, and has the best final lines of any movie I have ever watched.

For Mel Brooks, History of the World, Part I is a rather underrated film in my opinion. Certainly better than High Anxiety or Spaceballs. Monty Python and the Holy Grail is an obvious mention, and I vaguely remember Smokey and the Bandit's being quite funny as well.

Hot Fuzz is a great (albeit not very well known) comedy movie.

Also, Welcome to the Sticks is quite awesome

i forgot about wes anderson films, probably because i don't find them to be 'top ten comedy', but i really like them as films. rushmore is probably my favourite!

i also ended up downloading and watching hot rod on sunday. uh, it was humorous i guess but it wasnt that funny. almost none of the characters were likeable at all which i didnt like. imo, it was like a live action version of family guy crossed with a cartoon version of napoleon dynamite. both two mediums that shouldnt be combined and turn out even worse when you stick em both together.

I'm not an huge comedy movie fan but my top 10 would probably be:

10. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
9. Little Miss Sunshine
8. The Rocky Horror Picture Show

6. Young Frankenstein
5. Blazing Saddles
4. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
3. Fargo

1. Dr Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

History of the World, Part I is fucking excellent.

Groundhog Day was ruined for me by not one but TWO churches I attended using it as a cornerstone for sermons about how living life not truly caring about God is like being stuck in that type of lifestyle or some shit (not reading the Bible and all)...%__%
