Grass types ruining your day by threatening an OHKO on you with x4 grass attacks? No access to ice beam? Well here's your answer. Easy to bring in due to its dual immunity to electric/water, high HP and stealth rock resistance. Switch this in on something that will switch out (which shouldn't be too hard) and use the appropriate move. If they switch to a grass type, toxic it and switch out. Next time you bring in Seismitoad, prepare to unleash the horror with a 130 base power super-effective venoshock.

@HUARGH: Why go through all of that when you can just Sludge Bomb/Sludge Wave them twice and deal much more damage? It's not like your set does what these moves don't already do, since they both require you to catch the Grass-type on the switch or already outspeed them.

Toxic Spikes mixed with Venoshock could be a good combo, unless it's Vileplume or Roselia that's switching in. A little bit more team support required than that set, but it could be worth it if you have a good TSpiker. (Scolipede/Garbodorbdordobrodorbodor)

(SR Rain Team)
Seismitoad @ Life Orb
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 32 HP / 252 SAtk / 224 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Stealth Rock

This is "toad" that I often use in my rain team. It's very useful as immune to Electric-type attacks, the Timid nature and Swift Swim ability, make it most likely the fastest poke on battlefield and so put Stealth Rock is quite easily. But you don't think it can be just that. Although not a pure sweeper, it will not a easy thing, considering its attacking moves, also because a 269 SpA (with Life Orb, here's why 32 Evs on HP) is really not to be overlooked. Hydro Pump is a must, Earth Power (always STAB) and Sludge Wave (vs pure Grass-types) provide a good basis of dangerousness.

Some calcolation:
252 SpA Life Orb Seismitoad Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 104 SpD Ludicolo: 182-216 (50 - 59.34%) -- 21.48% chance to 2HKO after weather

As we see a Seismitoad on the field, we may mindlessly switch into any Grass type Pokemon or Altaria that is at a good amount of health and can threaten the toad out. Well, this set actually lures them. Life Orb Ice Punch scores OHKOs on a lot of Grass types: namely Roselia, Jumpluff (obviously), and Sawsbuck that may switch in. It just barely misses out on the OHKO on certain Grass types, such as Exeguttor and Serperior, though the former is outsped and OHKOed the next turn assuming he stays in, while the latter just requires a layer of Stealth Rock on the field to bring a 2HKO to a 40%~~ chance to OHKO. The last moveslot may seem odd, but Seis doesn't really have other option to put on it. It is still a pretty damn good hazard setter as it threatens a lot of leads out, namely Golem, Golurk, and Regirock. Toxic is a great move to hit Tangela / Alomomola as they switch in. The other two moves are STABs that hit a lot of things hard. Hydro Pump may seem odd on a Choice Band set, but it still has enough power to OHKO (assuming Sturdy broke) and 2HKO Golem and Regirock respectively, and EQ is much more spammable than Waterfall is anyway. EVs are to outspeed 40 Spd Misdreavus while still retaining some bulk. A 224 Spd EV spread may be used, but physical Samurott can't really do anything to Seis and lol at Seis beating Ludicolo.

Edit: waterfall is illegal :( well that's fine since i have some spare evs on hp and i'll just transfer them to special attack! hydro pump hits the likes of golem, golurk and regirock as hard as waterfall though, and eq is the more spammable attack anyway, so it still doesn't take the viability off this set.

Thanks flcl!

Seismitoad @ Life Orb / Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 124 SpA / 132 Spd
Naughty Nature
- Earthquake
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Punch
- Stealth Rock

Unlike the other mixed sets, this set focuses more on the physical attacking side of Seismitoad. This set can beat the numerous Grass types that switch in, namely Roselia, Jumpluff, Sawsbuck (not guaranteed), offensive Exeguttor, and even Altaria with Ice Punch. Hydro Pump is a really strong STAB that doesn't take away the toad's capabilities of beating Golurk and Regirock, whearas Earthquake is the most spammable move of the set as it has no drawbacks and hits the likes of Jynx and Regice fairly hard. Stealth Rock may be replaced by other moves if you already have an entry hazard setter. Knock Off, Toxic, Zen Headbutt, etc. are decent options for the last slot. EVs are to outspeed the new standard 40 Spd Misdreavus while attacking stats make it as hard as possible.
