Tapu Bulu @ Life Orb
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 24 Def / 232 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Horn Leech
- Close Combat
- Zen Headbutt

The raging bull of Alola plows through bulky walls with Swords Dance to lead Grass teams to victory! Horn Leech increases Tapu Bulu's longevity and offensively pressures bulky Pokemon like Tyranitar and Slowbro. Close Combat threatens Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Celesteela that Grass teams struggle with. Zen Headbutt threatens Poison-types such as Galarian Weezing, Crobat, and Amoonguss. 232 Speed EVs allow Tapu Bulu to outspeed offensive variants of Celesteela, while the excess EVs are dumped into Defense to better handle Celesteela's defensive variants. Amoonguss can put a foe out of commission with Spore, which can help Tapu Bulu find more openings to set up. Zarude is a fast teammate that can deal with Aegislash and Dragapult, with which Tapu Bulu struggles. Cradily and Ferrothorn set entry hazards to wear down the opposing team and check special attackers such as Galarian Moltres and Kyurem.

Bulu is walled by aegislash well not walled but it relies on knock orr and the general team composition to chip it. Flying is a good example as it muscles past celesteela.

Galarian Weezing crobat need to be in zen Headbutt examples. Who cares about a toxapex vs grass and it’s the sack in the grass mu after a number of rounds anyways.

speed tier is for offensive cele since it can 6-0 grass, ttar is not an effective example it barely does anything to grass.

You can’t fit whimsicott and you’re already breaking dark types with rilla bulu and Zarude so it’s not necessary for dual fairy

This set notably hits crobat and Weezing and it pretty much allows rillaboom to spam hh in the Poison mu after the floats are gone

Grass auto loses to fire and bug so mentioned crad checking Volcarona isnt very effective towards the reader. You only need like 2-3 teammates in spotlights and you just mention how it benefits bulu. “Cradily and ferro provided hazards and checks kyurem and galarian moltres”.

There are some other touch ups but it’s late for me lmk when u implement fish sticks cat

If something deals with something just directly say it. Cradily and Ferrothorn "can" check special attackers or do they just straight-up check them. Ferrothorn and Crad both check the mentioned special attackers so the term respectively is not necessary:

Cradily and Ferrothorn can sets entry hazards to wear down the opposing team and can checks special attackers such as Galarian Moltres and Kyurem, respectively.

" The raging bull of Alola plows through bulky walls with Swords Dance to lead Grass teams to victory! Swords Dance allows Tapu Bulu to capitalize on forced switches and wallbreak effectively. "

Rillaboom is pretty much a staple on Grass teams and i feel like talking about Amoonguss's Spore is more impactful as it gives Tapu Bulu a chance to come in and potentially more setup opportunities.

Dragapult > Hydreigon
