Why was it a moderately high priority analysis, and high enough VR ranking? I just don't quite get what this offers, I immediately took issue with the ability on a natural 4x water resist. I know explaining why the mon is ok in the first place won't go here, but hopefully I can know for me.

Why was it a moderately high priority analysis, and high enough VR ranking? I just don't quite get what this offers, I immediately took issue with the ability on a natural 4x water resist. I know explaining why the mon is ok in the first place won't go here, but hopefully I can know for me.

While it is one of the least used Ogerpon forms alongside Teal, it does have a really solid typing and its Embody Aspect is essentially an Assault Vest without the downsides, you can take insanely strong hits: 252 SpA Choice Specs Tera-Fairy Flutter Mane Moonblast vs. +1 252 HP / 188+ SpD Tera-Water Ogerpon-Wellspring: 88-104 (47 - 55.6%) -- 67.2% chance to 2HKO. Water Absorb isn't bad either, it may be a lol at first glace but the water immunity is great against Urshifu-Rapid and it can block Flip Turn too in case you run into that.

I would slash in substitute and mention how it can bully Gliscor quite hard, which I’ve noticed a lot of teams made around waterpon can struggle with.

I strongly agreed Substitute should be slashed as its one of the most important moves for a offensive Wellspring.

Substitute + Water Absorb + Ground Resist + Inmune to Leech Seed is what makes Wellspring such a treat again cycle base builds, being naturally speedy helps against fast disrupting Pokemon like Gliscor as shown in this mid-high ladder match: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/...-1970000855-87u45npxm5yahob8y4rm72zdby1neubpw

The obvious synergy Substitute has with Leech Seed should be mentioned as well, very valuable in a SpDef set.

- Forme names that aren’t regional formes are truncated, which means that they only use the first letter to designate formes. Ursaluna-Bloodmoon -> Ursaluna-B as a result of the truncation. There are some forme name exceptions that aren't the first letter, like Rotom-S for the fan (which refers to the Japanese translation of Rotom-Spin) and the Oricorio formes that use their typing (Oricorio-E for the electric one for example). If you come across a Pokemon forme name, check the standards - you can find the specific part by ctrl f for “The standards for forme names are as follows”
