Really though I don't see many repercussions to having an NU alpha using the February stats. Sure the tier might shift dramaticallly but at this point like machinae said there's people like me who are interested in getting back into mons who have been waiting for ages for NU in order to get back into mons might just give up on waiting. At the very least we could use a statement. Even though this wait is a little ridiculous I wouldn't go complaining to antar to make a statement though as the guy already probably has plenty of those in his inbox, just be patient I guess.

Reminder that during this period we want to be patient and respectful. It's natural to be upset after having to wait longer than we expected for a playable tier; however, that's no excuse for childish behavior.

Hey we were able to get new NU Stats for the first two weeks of May due to how hard Antar has been working so big thanks to him. What this means for us is that we have an alpha tier for a little over a week with a ladder that should be going live soon!

The dex will probably take a while. People have to write and approve the analyses, and that will take some time because the writers have to see how these mons fit into the tier and that means the tier has to at least somewhat stabilise, etc.

Dhelmise is a decent spinner in RU that isn't limited to providing hazard removal for its team; it's also a great wallbreaker with choice band. It checks a good number of threats such as shaymin(you need heavy slam for this tho, not anchor shot), bronzong, pyumuyuku, and reuniclus, not to mention the fact that it is a spinner that checks all viable spinblockers such as doublade, jellicent, and cofagrigus.

The fact Kingdra dropped isn't too surprising and here's why:

1. Rain wasn't as popular in RU, sun was an easier style to pull off with autoweathersetters Torkoal and Ninetales
2. As a specs dragon it was outclassed by Kommo-o and Goodra.
3. Critdra is more of a fun set and a bit like the above, RU had better dragons.

Personally I think it is just "low ladder" bait since a lot of newer players do think Golisopod is such a fantastic mon (I mean its stats and movepool is pretty decent). Which it could have been but then they decided to slap Emergency Exit onto that sucker and kinda ruined it. It's similar to the case like Ambipom/Cincinno in ORAS RU and Sylveon/Conkeldurr in ORAS OU where the only reason they stayed in their respective tiers was because of low ladder usage.

Anyways, really excited about NU Alpha even though there's a ton of broken stuff, which is to be expected in alpha-stage. Just looking at the visual tierlist, Necrozma, Slowbro(king), Dragalge, Virizion, Meloetta, Tyrantrum all look like very strong threats in the tier. Sun also looks pretty strong with Ninetales and Leafeon but, it doesn't look like it'd be too overbearing since there are a pretty decent amount of sun checks (Moltres, Dragalge, Sneasel) in the tier.

Basically access to First Impression + Aqua Jet / Sucker Punch with Spikes and great stats made low ladder think it's good, it's not even viable and it's really bad though, tbh I think he will be the Gen7 Ambipom (hopefully not) would be cool see it in NU

The fact that Pangoro and Medicham dropped really scaried me (thought it was expected) also Porygon2 and Slowbro dropping was just so annoying but this tier seem to be fun rn, let's see how it will be once NU Alpha's ladder is up

Golisopod is bad for some (other) reasons: first that it requires a lot of support and it doesn't worth this support, if you try use it to get Spikes (probably the best option for it), you won't be allow to beat one of the most common Hazard control (Mantine), while it won't just beat other hazard controls as well: (Dhelmise's Power Whip will put it in Emergency Exit's range and Sucker Punch won't do that much, specially if it's Colbur Dhelmise, Donphan is faster and can run a Rock-move to put you in range of Emergency Exit), I don't see a point on running it while you can run Chesnaught, Glalie-Mega, Roserade or even Qwilfish who are faster and are better keeping the Spikes in the field, but since here is a place to discuss about NU not about RU I will talk about other things I think will be nice:
Tyrantrum: This thing sounds so funny with Scarf, Band or DD, just like it was in last Gen RU...
Pangoro: This thing is so strong...it's a shame it's slow but SD + Mold Breaker and Choice Band sound so threatening...
Medicham: Pure Power is so strong, access to Fake Out and Bullet Punch and a High Jump Kick that hits really strong while Thunder Punch will 2HKO Slowbro after Rocks and deal a lot to Sableye.
Yanmega: Tinted Lens set sound so nice, Bug Buzz will hit really hard almost anything that come in front of it and a decent speed, Speed Boost set also sounds nice to work like Sharpedo in RU (116 SpA + LO is great), a 4x Rock weakness is a great problem though (mainly for LO set)
