SS OU Raining on Your Parade v2

Rain is arguably the best weather since barraskewda is the fastest weather abuser and water types have an advantage vs the primary types of all other weather conditions. It got even better when kyurem was banned so I made a rain team.

:rb/clefable: @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Knock Off
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Soft-Boiled

This was originally a nihilego, but when building the team I realized I forgot to have a dark resist and became very weak to weavile. Defensive clefable answers this and other dark types with maximum defensive investment. Knock off cripples steel and poison type switch-ins, moonblast and soft-boiled are always used, and wish is great for healing up the wallbreakers.

:rb/zapdos: @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Static
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Thunder
- Weather Ball
- Roost

Zapdos is the perfect rain wallbreaker, with unresisted coverage in rain, while still hitting hard outside of it (unless you miss). Roost allows you to stay healthy and switch into rillaboom/kartana to maybe trigger static. You can actually 1v1 galarian slowking with a bit of parafusion luck.

:rs/pelipper: @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Defog
- U-turn
- Roost

The pokemon that makes a rain team a rain team. Not much else to say about it. Try not to switch it in to pokemon that might predict with electric coverage.

:bw/ferrothorn: @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Knock Off
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed

No surprise that I have ferrothorn. Power whip covers bulky waters and spikes help rack up chip damage. Decided to run specially defensive to complement clefable’s physical defense.

:ss/barraskewda: @ Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flip Turn
- Liquidation
- Close Combat
- Crunch

Outspeeds everything in rain. Flip turn allows for huge damage while switching. Liquidation does damage, close combat hits ferrothron and water absorbers, and crunch hits slowbro/king and shedinja. Only switch it in directly when you are sure it won’t take damage.

:dp/mamoswine: @ Never-Melt Ice
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock

Mamoswine hits pretty much everything neutrally, and sets up rocks so ferrothron can run spikes. An electric immunity is always good for rain, and ice shard helps against setup sweepers if barraskewda is down. An ice resist is also good vs banded weavile. Originally had life orb because I usually default to it for wallbreakers, but never-melt ice provides a similar power boost without decreasing longevity.

I haven’t made a team in a while so leave some feedback if you have any. Hopefully I get more than my first rmt.

Hey, I really like the team :D

Just a few questions and possible corrections:

What is LO on mamo for? It kinda just chips down your electric resist (leaving koko to tbolt/volt and wear down ferro/nihilego) and doesn't really do what the purpose of mamo is on this team. My suggestions is to make it never-melt-ice for the same-ish amount of damage w ice attacks.

Dark moves: dark moves like beat up and knock kinda just 6-0 on the spot, apart from the rain barraskewda. This occurs in most rain teams but something like ferro might not really work against band vile midgame/endgame. There isnt really any space to fix this besides rocks on and adding something in place of mamo like gmoltres or a random clefable?

That's all I can think atm, nice team tho overall!
