Milotic @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Mirror Coat
- Protect
- Recover

Designed to piss people off by remaining alive as long as possible, and mirror coating as much as possible. Scald prevents you from being taunt bait, while protect adds to Milotic's passive recovery. Recover provides extra recovery, providing Milotic with a ton of fallback recovery options. Marvel Scale helps improve its defensive odds should it get burned. Dragon Tail, Refresh, or Toxic can be used instead of Protect, depending on your team's needs.
^ This. Love the set even though I dislike Milotic. I could see this doing it's job perfectly.

Heracross @ Flame Orb / Toxic Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Knock Off
- Facade

I was having a really tough time breaking Fairies way back when Heracross was UU, before Mega Heracross pulled it into OU, and came up with this set (or ripped it from someone who mentioned it in the np thread, I don't know, my memory's not that good). Anything that wants to/can take a Close Combat or Megahorn is pretty much smoked by Knock Off and/or Facade. For example, PDef Florges (the janky ass 252/232 set they've got listed on the PS! calculator, at least) takes a minimum of 97.7% from Stealth Rock+Knock Off+Facade.

Currently running Adamant with a Flame Orb, though I was running Jolly back in XY. Flame Orb has better longevity if you stay in for more than three turns (which I've found myself doing), though Toxic Orb is better as a more aggressive hit-and-run attacker, which I may switch to considering how prolific Crobat is now.

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace

ScarfCross is a nice late-game cleaner that is a great answer to non-scarfed psychics, darks, Serperior, Terrakion (even though Serperior might now be banned thank God) and Salamence that is a reliable sweeper and wallbreaker. Other Fighting Types like Machamp want to stay away from Ace at +1, since everytime it gets a kill, it gets a Moxie Boost.

+1 252 Atk Mold Breaker Heracross Aerial Ace vs. 172 HP / 0 Def Machamp: 230-272 (63.1 - 74.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

After said Moxie Boost, Defensive Salamence can get OHKO'd by a +2 and when rocks are up +1, while non-bulky Salamence is OHKO'd without a boost.

+1 252 Atk Heracross Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Salamence: 270-318 (68.5 - 80.7%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Heracross Stone Edge vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Salamence: 256-302 (77.1 - 90.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Crobat does not want to switch in either, as it can get OHKO'd without a boost when rocks are up, and is anyway at +1 without rocks.

252 Atk Heracross Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 256-302 (68.6 - 80.9%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 Atk Heracross Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 384-452 (102.9 - 121.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

And Even Suicune does not want to come in on a +1 CC or Megahorn.

+1 252 Atk Heracross Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Suicune: 187-222 (46.2 - 54.9%) -- 98.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
+1 252 Atk Heracross Megahorn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Suicune: 187-222 (46.2 - 54.9%) -- 98.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

All making Heracross a deadly late game cleaner, especially when you consider that it would usually come out after its counters have been cleared.

Scarf Hera definitely shouldn't be in the running for next best thing - that's literally its most common set from gen V, and probably like its second or third most popular set this gen.

I'm not really sold on flame orb 4 attacks Hera being more than just an SD Hera you forgot sd on either, but I guess it's more unique than scarf.

Sub-Punch Heracross

Heracross @ Leftovers
Ability: Guts
EVs: 112 HP / 252 Atk / 144 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Megahorn
- Knock Off / Stone Edge / Close Combat

You know what forces switches? Heracross! The ability to scare out a large portion of the meta makes Heracross an excellent candidate for a substitute attacker, as a switch out is a free turn to sub up. Focus Punch hits like a truck, meaning anything that attempts to break your sub will not do so without taking a huge chunk of health. Megahorn is there for a powerful secondary STAB that does not require you being behind a sub to use. The last slot is mainly up to preference, but I prefer Knock Off. Knock off punishes anything that switches in by removing their item. This allows Heracross to cripple eviolite users such as Gligar and Doublade, while removing recovery items from defensive pokemon. Stone Edge is a solid alternative, allowing Heracross to hit Crobat on the switch and KO it after rocks 100% of the time (though don't stay in on Crobat behind a sub, as they can still hit you via Infiltrator). Close Combat allows you to fire off powerful fighting STAB without having to be behind a sub. 252 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature maximizes Heracross's damage output. 144 Speed EVs allow Heracross to outspeed all uninvested pokemon up to base 100 Speed and Adamant 252 Spe Honchkrow. The rest of the EVs are dumped into HP to increase Heracross's overall bulk. Leftovers allows for passive recovery and compensates for the loss of HP Heracross takes when subbing, while Guts allows Heracross to beat bulky waters more easily by giving it a 1.5x attack boost if burned by scald.

That's RTcross, kokoloko's favorite set in DPP UU. It was fun because it did dumb shit like this:

252 Atk Life Orb Guts Heracross Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Venusaur: 216-255 (59.3 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Guts Heracross Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Milotic: 309-367 (78.6 - 93.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
-1 252 Atk Life Orb Guts Heracross Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Arcanine: 207-243 (54 - 63.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

I don't know if it is as viable as it used to be, specially considering Sleep Powder Venusaur isn't even UU now, but sounds good enough on paper. Gotta give it a try now.

Koko might have used it, but he stole it from RT's RMT imo (the fact that it's called RTCross is merely coincidental). I remember reading an old Warstory by Banedon I think? in which koko ran it and other sets on RT's team, like Toxic K9 I think. And I used it often last time Hera was in, although I ran Megahorn > Knock Off because more reliable STAB (gets walled by more obviously, but it still does a number on many alleged resists), but I guess that variant might be better. I still dislike being forced to rest more often by having to use CC on neutral targets, tho.

It was also an old ADV standard, with Megahorn and Rock Slide as the two attacking moves.

Still a great set, though, and I have yet to see it used since Hera came down again this month.
