Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Ability: Mummy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic Spikes
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Hex
With tremendous physical bulk, access to Toxic Spikes, and the ability to spread status, Cofagrigus has always been a solid utility option in ORAS OU. It is also able to counter huge threats such as Mega Metagross, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Medicham. In a tier that relies on Excadrill as the primary form of entry hazard removal, Cofagrigus is able to spinblock thanks to its Ghost typing and keep entry hazards up. Will-O-Wisp in combination with Hex allows Cofagrigus to spread status and deal boosted damage to foes. Pain Split offers Cofagrigus a form of recovery. Pokemon such as Calm Mind Mega Latias, Suicune, and Reuniclus are fantastic partners that are able to take advantage of Toxic Spikes support from Cofagrigus. Swords Dance Gliscor is also a teammate that can threaten to sweep long-term with the aid of Toxic Spikes. Cofagrigus also pairs well with Spikes setters such as Ferrothorn and Skarmory, as it is immune to Rapid Spin, thus being able to keep up entry hazards.
