With an overwhelming 9 votes, iplaytennislol won this week!

This week, I decided to go with a mon that has been featured a couple of times here and that is...

Combusken @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Baton Pass
- Protect
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast

Have fun you guys and see you Friday! :)

Reserving the Don. Will be done in 24 hours
im not real enough to use something cool like Rampardos or Zweilous

Rhydon @ Eviolite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Megahorn
- Swords Dance

Everyone knows how dominating a sweeper Double Dance Rhydon is. Now support it with another dominant offensive mon. The big guy can easily take a hit or two and set up some boosts, but lets take some pressure off him so he only has to worry about boosting that monsterous base 130 attack. Sac a mon or clean up a kill with Combusken, meanwhile acquiring a boost. Protect after they switch to get a second boost. Fire off an attack if you can live on of theirs if you can't OHKO then pass to Don. Simple as pokemon gets really. From there do whatever you want. The world is your Clamperl.

Aurorus @ Leftovers
Ability: Refrigerate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Calm Mind
- Hyper Voice
- Freeze-Dry
- Earth Power

Combusken help pretty well Aurorus. Combusken can defeat the rock or steel types who are annoying for Aurorus. With Baton Pass+Speed Boost, Aurorus can be pretty fast and with Calm Mind, it does a lot of damages. Aurorus can bypass the bulky waters for Combusken with Freeze Dry. This core is pretty weak to somes EQ users and waters moves, so a grass type can be pcool to cover these weakness with theses two mons.

Shiftry @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Knock Off
- Extrasensory / Defog / Explosion
- Sucker Punch
- Leaf Storm

Shiftry is an amzing partner to Combusken due to its amazing offensive synergy and excellent speed. Shiftry also has priority Sucker Punch to deal with other priority users, as well as having some really strong attacks to wallbreak for the chicken. (Note that there are a couple of other sets Shiftry can run as well as the mixed set). It can also defog hazards for Combusken, which is really good considering it uses Life Orb as its chosen item. Extrasensory hits the bulky poison types that threaten the core, while Explosion can weaken or kill a mon to the point where 'Busken can take advantage of what's left to set up.

Samurott @ Lum Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Megahorn
- Swords Dance

COMBUSKUROTT is a great core! Combusken forces out tons of common Samu checks, such as Vileplume, Ferroseed, and Gourgeist, and dishes out tons of damage on shared soft checks to both, such as Lanturn and Poliwrath. Baton Pass from Combusken can also get Samurott in fairly safely against good Combusken switch ins, such as Grumpig, Mega Audino, AV Magmortar, and Hariyama, to either use them as set up fodder or just deal out damage. Samurott also doesn't hate a couple of passed speed boosts to help it deal with fast Grass-types like Lilli.

Ok so with 7 votes, Disjunction is the winner this week with his lovely narwhal nomination.

This week, I decided to go with a set that I sometimes feel is weak, but is a really great lure of sorts for common Stealth Rock setters such as Rhydon and Ferroseed. I am talking about the stinkiest of them all...

Skuntank @ Life Orb
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Defog

Have fun you guys and see you Friday! :)

Scyther @ Eviolite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Roost
- Swords Dance
- Aerial Ace
- U-turn

Scyther is an excellent teammate for special Skunktank for a few reasons. One, it greatly appreciates Defog support given its 4x weakness to stealth rock. In terms of coverage, it loves Rhydon and Quagsire being lured in with HP Grass as well as Steel-types like Klinklang and Mawile getting hit hard by Skuntank's Fire Blast.

Scyther (Jumpluff)
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Acrobatics
- Seed Bomb
- Sleep Powder
- Swords Dance

Jumpluff appreciates Steels being lured in with Fire Blast, and appreciates the damage Skuntank gets on bulky ground / rock types in order for Jumpluff to have an easier time sweeping through the opposing team. Skuntank also supports it with Defog since Jumpluff hates rocks being up.

Musharna @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Moonlight
- Signal Beam

Skuntank can defeat the steel, ghost, bulky psychic for Mush. He can also defeat Quagsire who can wall Mush due to Unaware. Musharna can set up pretty easily with this Skuntank. Musharna can also switch in some physical ground and fighting move who pressure Skuntank a lot.

Archeops
Ability: Defeatist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Taunt

Archeops greatly appreciates both Skuntank's ability to lure and weaken or kill its common switchins such as Quag and its ability to defog away Stealth Rocks that limit Archeops' switchins. Archeops in turn can revenge mons that Skuntank itself has trouble hitting, including Hariyama and opposing Skuntanks.

Swellow @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Facade
- Brave Bird
- U-Turn
- Quick Attack

Skuntank helps to lure in and kill physically bulky Rock, Steel, and Ghost types, such as Rhydon, Mawile, and Rotom, that get in the way of Swellow's STAB attacks and let it clean up more effectively. Furthermore, it helps reduce the already substantial residual damage that Swellow takes during battle by using Defog to remove Stealth Rock, letting it switch into battle and threaten opponents more often. Having a fast team-mate like Swellow also helps to compensate for the lack of Sucker Punch on Skuntank when it comes to dealing with fast threats like Tauros.

Klinklang @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Happiness: 0
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Gear Grind
- Shift Gear
- Frustration
- Substitute

Skunks ability to bop things like Rhydon and Ferroseed is really appreciated by my buddy Klinklang since at plus one, most rock types still live a gear grind so getting the damage off with Skuntank can be quite useful. Ferroseed isnt really a problem since you edge out 1v1 vs any Ferroseed that doesn't have knock off, but other steels like Mawile and opposing Klinklang are nice to get out of the way with an LO fire blast.
