National Dex National Dex Ou Mega Pidgeot Team

Welcome to my competitive OU team! I've put a lot of effort into creating a well-rounded and viable team that can hold its own in the tough and dynamic OU tier. Each member of the team has been carefully selected for its unique abilities and moveset to contribute to the overall strategy. With Pidgeotlipa providing strong special attacks and utility moves, Great Tusk serving as a speedy physical attacker and spinner, Toxazza acting as a defensive pivot, Ferrothorn setting up hazards and providing additional bulk, Dojagoldo serving as a special tank and sweeper, and Kingambit as a hard-hitting physical sweeper, this team has a variety of options to take down opponents. Let's dive into each member's role and set to understand how this team functions

Hey! You have a pretty interesting balance team, but it has a couple of flaws that can be easily fixed. Starting with:

MAJOR CHANGES

:pidgeot-mega: -->> :tornadus-therian:

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Focus Blast
- Nasty Plot
- Knock Off

Simply put, Mega Pidgeot is largely completely outclassed by Tornadus-T, who has the same speed and spammable Flying STAB, but possesses Regenerator to keep itself healthy without being forced to Roost and Nasty Plot to become an unbelievably threatening wallbreaker. The slot on Knock Off is rather flexible, and can be replaced with other utility moves like Taunt and Toxic.

:gholdengo: -->> :dragapult:

Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Flamethrower

Having three Steel-types on your team can make it vulnerable to common Pokemon like Great Tusk, Mega Lopunny, and Heatran. Additionally, the team is rather slow, with Tornadus as the only speed control option. To remedy this, I replaced Gholdengo with Dragapult, who can revenge kill Pokemon like Howl Zamazenta for the rest of your team. Tera Dragon is used here over Tera Ghost for more immediate breaking power, as well as allowing it to somewhat escape pursuit trappers.

MINOR CHANGES

Ferronaj (Ferrothorn) @ Rocky Helmet Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD Maybe consider a couple spdef evs
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Power Whip
- Body Press Knock Off / Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed

While Rocky Helmet Ferrothorn seems appealing, leftovers give it a lot more passive longevity without being blocked by Pokemon like Gholdengo. Body Press fails to hit many notable options, and using Knock Off or Gyro Ball helps against the Defog Tornadus matchup, who would otherwise easily block your attempts. Additionally, since Toxapex and Great Tusk act as good physical sponges and Gholdengo was removed, you could consider adding a few Special Defense EVs to have a better matchup against Pokemon like Tapu Lele.

Example:
https://pokepast.es/a933fe674849001f

(somewhat random number for ferros evs but it allows it to always survive dias mystical fire from full, again u can pick and choose)

That's it! Tell me what you think of the team, happy to hear your suggestions!
