Latias-Mega @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Stored Power / Psyshock
- Ice Beam
Within recent months, Mega Latias has enjoyed a rise in usage, as it is a potent Calm Mind sweeper while simultaneously doubling as a solid check to many offensive threats like Kartana and Garchomp. It's a major nuisance to deal with for many slower-paced builds thanks to its insane bulk and high Speed tier, which let it rack up Calm Mind boosts rather quickly and comfortably. Additionally, Mega Latias can win Calm Mind wars pretty easily thanks to Stored Power or Psyshock. It can also set up on some Steel-types, like Assault Vest Magearna and Ferrothorn. Mega Latias pairs particularly well with Pokemon that can check Dark-types such as Mega Tyranitar and Ash-Greninja. Fairy-types such as Mega Mawile and Choice item Tapu Lele can put a lot of pressure on Mega Latias; because of this, Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Magearna, and Heatran are solid teammates.
