Black Glasses grants a sizable boost to Kingambit's Dark-type moves, while Tera Dark further amplifies Kingambit's power to insane levels, letting it cleanly OHKO Chien-Pao with Sucker Punch after a Swords Dance, with three allies fainted. Kingambit fits well on offensive teams as a late-game cleaner, utilizing the boost from Supreme Overlord when many Pokemon have fainted. Due to its low Speed and reliance on Sucker Punch, Kingambit may struggle with faster Pokemon that resist Dark. Trick Room support from Cresselia or Farigiraf is helpful to turn Kingambit's low Speed into an asset. Alternatively, Tailwind support from Tornadus with Speed investment is another option to allow Kingambit to move first without relying on Sucker Punch. Good offensive partners for Kingambit include Flutter Mane and Choice Scarf Chi-Yu, which can deal massive damage to some of the Pokemon Kingambit has trouble with, such as Iron Hands and Chien-Pao.
