    Hi everyone,
With Pelipper's Drizzle, rain team is more common in the meta game. As first, I had wanted to know how to counter it but then I love it and built one. I spent nearly a week on studying (yah studying) a about rain team. Almost of them were built with tapu koko and hawlucha core but I hate disposable mons so try the other way and this is my team.

    First glance at the team

    Explaination

    Swampert-Mega @ Swampertite
    Ability: Damp
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Waterfall
    - Ice Punch
    - Earthquake
    - Superpower

Main character of every team rain. The main sweeper at the beginning. High defensive base stats and only one weakness help swampert can switch into many mons. Jolly was chosen over Adamant in order to out speed scarf garchomp, keldeo in rain and Adamant Tapu Bulu when out rain and surprising beat it with ice punch when it is under 70% heathy. Damp prevent azelf from using explosion. Waterfall, Ice Punch, Earthquake is standard moveset and the last move superpower for ferrothorn and protean greninja (the ash one may ohko me with water shuriken). I didn't choose stone edge because its acc althought it can 2hko peliper, mantine and kyurem.

    Pelipper @ Damp Rock
    Ability: Drizzle
    EVs: 248 HP / 68 Def / 192 SpD
    Bold Nature
    IVs: 28 Spe
    - Scald
    - Roost
    - U-turn
    - Hurricane

Don't blame me on posting this pic, lol.
Pelipper is necessary for rain team. High Sp def in order to deal with charizard Y, keldeo. IVs: 28 Spe help its teammates switch in freely on the other faster than chansey, toxapex especially tangrowth. Pelipper is perfect answer to defensive landorus and scizor. Hurrcane is chosen over defog because 2 reason. First, pelipper is weak to rock and its terrible def stat (hope it will be buffed next gen like mantine) do not let it work well as a defogger. Second, pelipper just appears a few turns per game, the longer it appears the nearer its death. I don't want to say goodbye him soon.

    Chansey @ Eviolite
    Ability: Natural Cure
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
    Bold Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Rain Dance
    - Seismic Toss
    - Soft-Boiled
    - Healing Wish

This is a weird set for chansey. Chansey's monstrous HP and high Special Defense stats make it the bulkiest wall for Mega Alakazam, Mega Charizard Y which are two dangerous mons for rain team. Choosing Rain dance to deal with Mega charizard Y better and the help team isn't shut down after pelipper had gone. With its bulk, chansey can not be ohko by many mons. It mean chansey can use rain dance then healing wish to bring swampert back. This will be a big surprise for your opponents. There are lots of people try to weaken swampert and think that they can KO it with extreme speed or sucker punch later. Sometime healing wish pelipper is a quiet good idea.

    Kartana @ Fightinium Z
    Ability: Beast Boost
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Sacred Sword
    - Smart Strike
    - Swords Dance
    - Leaf Blade

I chose kartana as a late-game cleaner. With grass type kartana immune to spore from smeagle, leech seed from ferrothorn. Kartana checks many mons that wall swampert such as ferrothorn, rotom-w, clefable, scizor, skarmory, celesteela and toxapex. By the other way, kartana break many weather caller: alolan ninetale, tyranitar, hippowdon. Thanks to high physical defense stat base kartana survives from many priority moves. This is a standard set can be found on smogon dex.

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Greninja-Ash @ Choice Specs
    Ability: Battle Bond
    EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Surf
    - U-turn
    - Water Shuriken
    - Dark Pulse

There are many reasons that I chose greninja. First, greninja and kartana make a perfect offensive core. Second, it has a priority move - water shuriken and it is boosted in rain. This is a perfect answer to bisharp and mawile sucker punch. And last, it accesses to u-turn. Surf was chosen over hydro pump because of acc. Just like kartana greninja works greatly as late-game sweeper. I wonder why not many people choose him for rain team[IMG]

    [IMG][IMG] [IMG]
    Skarmory @ Shed Shell
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
    Bold Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Stealth Rock
    - Roost
    - Defog
    - Icy Wind

Without defoger sticky web is very annoying to this team. Skarmory checks many swampert dangerous threats such as scarf kartana, tapu bulu, scarf lati@s. Furthermore, it is extremely hard to wear down with indirect damage due to its immunity to Spikes and Toxic. Icy wind for scarf latios, a little surprise to dragon/ground mons: garchomp, zygarde. Stealth rock was chosen over spike in order to deal with charizard Y better.

    Threats

    CHARIZARD Y:
PELIPPER ISN'T BULKLY ENOUGH TO TANK AIR SLASH, CHANSEY CAN DO THIS BETTER BUT DUGTRIO SHUT IT DOWN

    M-ALAKAZAM WITH GRASS KNOT:
NOT COMMON BUT THIS WILL OHKO SWAMPERT. ONCE AGAIN CHANSEY IS A GOOD ANSWER BUT WITH TAPU LELE - ALAKAZAM CORE, IT WILL BE SHUT DOWN BY PSYSHOCK.

    OTHER SURPRISE GRASS ATTACK
SCARF TAPU KOKO WITH GRASS KNOT, KELDEO WITH HP GRASS AND MORE WEIRD SET BUT WORK EFFECTIVELY ON RAIN TEAM

SCARF KARTANA (IF SKAMORY HAD GONE)
SWAMPERT 'S SUPER POWER CAN'T OHKO KARTANA AND IT WILL OHKO WITH LEAF BLADE
SACRED SWORD OHKO MOST OF THE MONS IN TEAM

    SCARF LATI@S AND GENGAR
THEY OUT SPEED EVERYTHING IN TEAM EVEN SWAMPERT IN RAIN. CHANSEY CAN WALL THEM BUT THEIR TRICK SHUT IT DOWN

    TRICK ROOM TEAM
I HAVEN'T MET TRICK ROOM TEAM BUT I KNOW WITH THIS SPEEDY TEAM I WILL STRUGGLE TO WIN

    Importable

    Some words to say

I have play pokemon competitive for 2 months and this is my first rmt.

Hey dugtrio0709, I like your rain team due to it being more unique then other rain teams. This team is more of a bulky offense which I really like. I would like to recommend that changing U-Turn on Ash-Greninja to either Ice Beam or Spikes. I understand that you most likely chose U-Turn for momentum, but having their Ice Beam or Spikes would help you quite a bit. Ice Beam can bitter help you against Dragon types if Mega Swampert is down, or heavily injured to come in. Or Spikes helps you chip away your opponent's pokemon every time they wanna switch out, making 3HKO's into 2HKO's and 2HKO's into OHKO.

    Here's the Greninja set:

    Show Hide

    Greninja-Ash @ Choice Specs
    Ability: Battle Bond
    EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Surf
    - Dark Pulse
    - Water Shuriken
    - Spikes / Ice Beam

P.S is you want to change the importable section from the quote to the box it's [ hide] text here [ /hide]
