Having access to one of the greatest moves in the meta that overpass Protect, and offensive stats in both sides, Hoopa-U proves to be a great wallbreaker to fear about. To make its very high Attack Power Choice Banded is used to make it very hard to deal with. Hyperspace Fury tends to 2OHKO defensive mons that doesn’t have a resistance such as Toxapex, Gliscor, Corviknight and Alomomola making also difficult for Wish-Protect users to work efficiently. Gunk shot is used to deal neutral damage on switch on Hyperspace Fury like some Fighting- and Dark- typing, specially Fairies like Clefable and Tapu Fini having also a chance to poison. Drain Punch is necessary to deal with mons like Bisharp, Gyarados-Mega and Tyranitar which resist pretty well its other moves. Zen Headbutt can be optionally used as STAB-move and to deal with some Fighting types like Heracross-Mega and Kommo-o or instead Ice Punch to deal with some dragons and to prevent Landorus to switch-in. Jolly nature is preferred than Adamant to don’t get outspeed by non-boosted Adamant Dragonite, or Mega Swampert without rain.

Besides having a great attack power Hoopa-U and a good set of coverage move it has 2 big weakness its low 80 base speed, literally almost any non-defensive mon can outspeed this couldn’t be so bad if only Hoopa had a decent Physical Defense which sadly it doesn’t have combined this and its x4 weakness to U-turn is a really hard mon into build around. So how you exactly can help this mon to don’t get OHKOed before it can attack? Quite simple with help of Sticky web, with the help of Galvantula, Ribombee and Smeargle the tables have turned in favor of Hoopa-Unbound making it to attack first and have chances to OHKO non defensive mons. What if they have a mon which learns Defog? Simple do Volt Switch in case of Galvantula or U-turn in case of the other two and send Hoopa-U to damage it. The main problem would be Rapid Spin users, u don’t like to see that Excadrill removing your Sticky Web while it gains speed, so bringing mons with Rough Skin/Iron Barbs like Garchomp or Ferrothorn or also having Rocky Helmet users like Corviknight or Skarmory to harm it while also can be checks for mostly U-turn users.

U can put an Adamant nature if you are in need of power but I wouldn’t recommend u to do that, since is enough hard to play around with Jolly Hoopa-U. Another item that u can give to Hoopa-U might be Life Orb if u don’t want to be choice-locked into a move, but with this item it will lose some of its power of 10% health each turn

With the help of Choice Scarf Hoopa-U’s speed problem is solutionated partially now being faster than the average speed, and some faster mons in the meta that can be Tapu Koko, Greninja-Ash and Gallade-Mega are now at your disposition to be attacked making it a great revenge killer, but be warned its power is not the same as Choice Band so be patient and save it and send it on the right moment, you’ll need the Jolly nature on this mons if u want to overpass Tapu Koko, because u won’t with Adamant nature.

Now with that great speed and attack power u don’t have to subestimate U-turn users they still will spam it so bring Rocky Helmet users or Rough Skin/Iron Barbs like Garchomp and Ferrothorn to reduce its health slowly each turn. By the way now you are more vulnerable to Dragon Dance and Quiver Dance users that can take 2 or 3 hits from Hoopa-U as an attempt to sweep your team so bring mons with Thunder Wave Specially Zapdos due to its Static ability that can take advantage of contact physical mons and Thundurus having priority on Thunder Wave, it doesn’t affect Gyarados-Mega however but it can hit it effectively with its electrical moves.

Adamant Nature can be used instead of Jolly nature in order to get more power but that depends on your team. Bold also is a great option to consider, since u can put Special Attacks to take advantage of Hoopa-U’s huge special attacks only problem is that these moves are quite disappointing comparing to its physical set, but some of these moves can work like Psychic, Thunderbolt, Dark Pulse, Grass Knot or Focus Blast are good examples

Checks and Counters
===================

**U-turn**: Faster mons like Landorus-T, Tapu Koko and Victini, with this move just will spam it and OHKO Hoopa-U without too much problem while also they can change its mon, Rocky Helmet partners may help to prevent it and generate damage by contact, but if opponent also has a mon with Knock Off they will lose its functionality.

**Faster Physical Attackers**: Those who have huge attack power and are enough fast will harm it heavily like Jolly/Scarfed Exacadrill, Charizard Mega-X, or even Garchomp leaving them a chance to set up if u change the mon or lose it if they decide to attack. Rillaboom needs also to take in care when talking about this since it has a Strong priority grass move.

**Dark-Resistance**: Fairy, Dark and Fighting mons doesn’t receive too much damage from Hyperspace Fury, Fairy being the most troublematic since they hit super-efectively vs Hoopa and have ways to recover life like Softboiled/Wish from Clefable or Drain Kiss from Tapu Fini; Dark mons like Tyranitar aren’t far behind being capable of tank that move, and then proceed to pursuit it, while others like Hydreigon or Gyarados-Mega can take advantage on this and will try to boost; with Fighting most of them receive a lot of damage and most of them lack of recovering moves, but don’t get overconfident, drain punch is used on some of them like Conkeldurr, Urshifu-R or Buzzwhole, while also they can set up Substitute or Bulk Up.

**Burn** Hoopa-U won’t appreaciate to be burned by Scald or Will-o-Wisp, a good advantage of Hoopa-U is to have Dark typing so prankster moves such as Will-o-Wisp from Sableye won’t affect it and it will force Sableye to Megaenvolve.

**Knock off** This move makes Hoopa-U lose its functionality so keep an eye of opponent’s team and moves so u don’t lose your item.

I'm sorry but there are too many issues in this analysis, and it stems from the inaccurate information and overall pretty poor writeup. I found myself editing almost every part of this analysis, which shouldn't be my job. There's also a lack of metagame knowledge here. Why is Dragonite being mentioned when it's unviable? Smeargle, Galvantula and Ribombee are mentioned when they are also completely unviable. There's a lack of Pursuit mentions as well even though that's easily one of Hoopa-U's biggest problems and the amount of grammar issues + casual writing and pointless filler make this analysis very hard to read.

After speaking with the QC team, we figured that it isn't salvageable in its current state and will be too much work on both our end to get this to a decent state. So this will be rejected. I suggest you look through this and this as well as look through some other analysis to help improve your writing.
