At the risk of this being counted as spam, probably because people were like "fuck i'm tired of using scizor and salamence" so they used different stuff for a change of pace, that would be my guess.

Added Shift in usage data for each tier, this can be used as a reasonably good estimate of stability in a metagame. It's the sum of each individual change divided by two (since each + has an almost (if I used all data rather than the top 50/100 it would be exact) equal -), nice and simple. Ubers is kinda insane right now, apparently. Almost half the usage shifted compared with 15% for OU and either 52% (with Cress and PZ) or 29% for UU.

Edit: If anyone has any reasonable (read: ones that I can make from Doug's without great difficulty/are not pointless) suggestions for useful extra stats I may have a try at them.

I don't think that would be very easy or very useful. A Pokémon depends on its team, so win percentages for a single Pokémon wouldn't give you any meaningful data.

I can't generate those from Doug's stats, so would need both vastly more programming ability than I have and access to the base statistics which everything is generated from in order to make those. So, not practical, sorry.

I must know... How did you actually come to that conclusion? Are you really basing that off of the stats given here?

The drop in Electivire is probably a result of Gyarados and Starmie's drop. Heatran's drop in usage is surprising, and is adding to the Scarftar rise since Heatran can often set up on Choice-locked Tyranitar. Also, Scarftar is a very good switch-in for Scarftran and Specstran. Now that Magnezone and Heatran are falling, it's Skarmory's time to shine.
