Name of the Eternal Pokémon: Gloom-Eternal
New Type: Dark/Poison
New Stat distribution:
HP: 80 (+20)
Attack: 70 (+5)
Defense: 90 (+20)
Special Attack: 110 (+25)
Special Defense: 95 (+20)
Speed: 44 (+4)
BST: 489 (+94)
Signature Move: Spore Burst - Dark, Special, 100 BP, 5 PP, 100% Accuracy (spread move) | The user releases a cloud of spores that darken the sky. Switches out turn 1, hits target turn 2, heals a team member for 50% damage dealt to the corresponding target. | Z-move: Black Hole Eclipse, 190 BP
Design/Flavor: This Gloom became so tired of the light that it shed its leaves, leaving its only source of food to be other plants. As such, in the day, it releases spores that infect other plants around it so that it can take their nutrients for itself.
Competitive Analysis: Gloom-Eternal is a stellar pivot that can heal and damage enemies whilst being absent from the battlefield. Its main problem is that its bulk is quite middling for the Eternal Pokemon metagame, leaving few switch in opportunities despite its fantastic typing. However, access to Strength Sap and Spore Burst are great for deterring opposing physical threats in the metagame, and then exploiting those switchins with Spore Burst, which provides immense team support, especially on balanced builds.
Name of the Eternal Pokémon: Weepinbell-Eternal
New Type: Grass/Water
New Stat distribution:
HP: 115 (+50)
Attack: 65 (-30)
Defense: 70 (+20)
Special Attack: 110 (+25)
Special Defense: 75 (+30)
Speed: 59 (+4)
BST: 489 (+99)
Signature Move: Ocean Tornado - Water, 120 BP, 10 PP, 100% Accuracy, Special | The user inhales a massive proportion of water, and then spurts it out at the opponent. The user attacks for two turns, and then confuses the user. During the first turn, it hits Water types super effectively, and steals the Berry off of an opponent. | Z-move: Hydro Vortex, 200 BP
Design/Flavor: This Weepinbell became oversaturated with water, slowly increasing the size of its body every day with it. This unfortunate overhydration caused its mouth muscles to become flaccid, leaving it unable to catch its prey via mouth. Instead, it launches huge jets of water at the enemy in hopes of crippling it, allowing it to absorb the nutrients of the dead body.
Competitive Analysis: Weepinbell-Eternal is a bulky Growth user that is able to function in both Sun and Rain, although it prefers rain due to its much more powerful signature move and 4x resistance to Water, allowing it to function as an anti-rain wall, most notably dealing with Swampert-Mega. Access to Synthesis also lets it shine in Sun, however, being neutral to Fire really sucks for it.
Name of the Eternal Pokémon: Exeggcute-Eternal
New Type: Fire/Psychic
New Stat distribution:
HP: 60 (+0)
Attack: 90 (+50)
Defense: 67 (-13)
Special Attack: 130 (+70)
Special Defense: 68 (+23)
Speed: 114 (+74)
BST: 489 (+99)
Signature Move: Crackling Flame - Fire, Special, 120 BP, 10 PP, 100% Accuracy - The egg shell on one of the Exeggcute blows off, creating a pillar of flame that damages all opponents. 40% to burn each opponent. The user takes 1/5 of its max HP as damage, rounded up. | Z-move: Inferno Overdrive, 200 BP
Design/Flavor: These Exeggcute fell from an Alolan Exeggutor when the volcano on Akala Island violently erupted, spreading ash all throughout the region. Due to their parent's death, these Exeggute are violently riled to guard the young population from being picked off.
Competitive Analysis: Exeggcute-Eternal is a brilliant sweeper in the sun, having access to both Chlorophyll, Growth and STAB Fire attacks. Crackling Flame scares Pokemon such as Tyranitar from switching in as their attempts to trap Exeggcute may be stopped with its 40% burn chance, however, the chip damage on Exeggcute and the sandstorm accompanied with it may extinguish Exeggcute trailblaze. Rain also deals with Exeggcute quite well, ruining its ChloroGrowth combo and essentially limiting it to Fire-type moves.
Name of the Eternal Pokémon: Nuzleaf-Eternal
New Type: Grass/Fighting
New Stat distribution:
HP: 40 (-20)
Attack: 120 (+50)
Defense: 40 (0)
Special Attack: 120 (+70)
Special Defense: 39 (-1)
Speed: 120 (+74)
BST: 479 (+99)
Signature Move: Spiritual Mastery - Fighting, Special, 100 BP, 5 PP, 95% Acc | The Pokemon utilizes the power of its spirit to demolish the target. Increases base power by 1.5x if the user does not have any positive stat boosts. | Z-move: All-Out Pummeling, 180 BP
Design/Flavor: Rather than jump around Fortree City, this Nuzleaf, as a Seedot, decided that it wanted to increase its mental resistance - and as such, it learned how to manipulate aura. Whilst its defenses never increased due to its frail structure, this Nuzleaf is often seen battling other Shiftry in an attempt to teach them control.
Competitive Analysis: Nuzleaf-Eternal is a brilliant mixed attacker with the option to utilize Choice Specs to abuse its main STAB move, Spiritual Mastery. It can abuse Swords Dance with Low Kick, Life Orb mixed, and potentially a Nasty Plot set - however, its unfortunate STAB combo is entirely resisted by Flying, Poison and Bug, leading it to be initially very easy to switch into.
