Bruxish @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Strong Jaw
Tera Type: Psychic / Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Psychic Fangs
- Wave Crash
- Flip Turn
- Ice Fang
Bruxish is a powerful physical attacker and revenge killer in PU, utilizing powerful Strong Jaw-boosted Water- and Psychic-type STAB moves and ability to pivot to become a resourceful wallbreaker. Flip Turn allows Bruxish to pivot around difficult matchups like Wo-Chien and Decidueye, letting in Pokemon that threaten them such as Scyther. Ice Fang helps hit Grass-types like Wo-Chien and Decidueye, which normally would be a tough matchup for Bruxish. Tera Psychic greatly boosts Psychic Fangs' damage output, but Bruxish can also use Tera Water to increase Water-type attacks as well as taking neutral damage from incoming Ghost- and Dark-type priority moves. Despite having Ice-type coverage, Bruxish still struggles against Grass-types like Virizion and Wo-Chien due to it being prediction- reliant against them, having Fire- and Flying-types like Oricorio-F and Scyther are greatly appreciated. VoltTurn users like Hisuian Electrode, Rotom-C, and Clawitzer create momentum and form a pivot core, with Bruxish letting them switch in and threaten bulkier Pokemon like Bronzong and Houndstone. Grass-types like Wo-Chien help with Water-types like Lanturn and opposing Bruxish, and in return Bruxish helps threaten Fire-types like Charizard and Typhlosion.
