Tyranitar @ Lum Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power Bug

Meet the most dominant Pokemon in ADV: Tyranitar! Besides its well-rounded stats and solid movepool, one of Tyranitar's most important traits is the Sandstorm it summons, neutering the Leftovers recovery of defensive behemoths like Blissey, Suicune, and Milotic, making them easier to break—this is crucial for offensive teams. Tyranitar's most dangerous set is this, the Dragon Dancer; with huge Attack, nice bulk, and wide coverage, it is the tier's most ferocious sweeper. Hidden Power Bug complements Rock Slide and Earthquake nicely, letting Tyranitar blast through Celebi, Starmie, and Claydol, but it is not the only option for the last moveslot; Hidden Power Grass and Ice Beam are also effective choices to break through Swampert and Flygon, respectively. Maximum Speed investment is preferred, allowing it to outspeed most of the metagame, even the lightning-fast Starmie. Wallbreakers like Metagross, Salamence, and mixed Swampert are excellent at enabling a Dragon Dance Tyranitar sweep.

Well, you didn't ask for my QC, but these are my two cents.

Probably since this is not really for people familiar with ADV that it should be mentioned ttar sets up Sand which shapes the metagame in a myriad of ways.
Hidden Power Grass variants, more specifically, are often used in the wallbreaking role, weakening lots of defensive threats like Swampert, Claydol, Suicune, and Milotic for its teammates
While mostly technically accurate, makes it sound like HP Grass is doing the wallbreaking. It only hits Swampert. Suicune and Milotic are weakened by Rock Slide. Claydol is a bit more contentious. I wouldn't say it necessarily weakens Claydol to a point where it is considered broken; the trade is frequently not so favorable.
Other mixed wallbreakers like Salamence, Metagross, and Swampert complement this Tyranitar
Doesn't have to be mixed. CB Metagross also works.

not sure what would be the best way to fit this given the 1k characters limit. should i drop the speed investment mention, since it seems to be the easiest part to get rid of, or do you have any other ideas? implemented the other two points tho

Hey! We talked a bit about this in the Discord and to give a better overview for Tyranitar we think it might be better to not get too specific. You were handed the DD Grass set and wrote a nice text, this set is very specific though and is probably not the best choice for a quick showcase for this purpose. Sorry for telling you that after you have already written the text :psycry:
So first of all, while this might seem like a minor thing, for the showcased set the last move should be Hidden Power Bug and the EVs then 252atk/252 speed with a Jolly Nature (maybe Adamant slashed). So youd have to adjust your text a little bit in terms of what the last move hits.

And as Vapi said, a mention of Sand Stream is necessary and is actually a big thing for the offenses it is found in to break, invalidating the healing on something like Suicune and Milotic is huge and since this is used to get a bit of an introduction to ADV, Sandstorm is absolutely metagame defining.

Thats a tough task to get so much information into that limited amount of text, but im sure you can handle it
