Introduction

Hello there. I would like to introduce you to the first generic stall RMT for AAA, that actually is capable to peak. This team works great in this current meta, and is quite easy to use for everyone. I managed to get an impressive 76-1 W/L with it on one of my alts. Huge S/O to Quantum Tesseract for helping me with the poke's description!!

Teambuilding Process

Just picked 6 fat pokes. pretty simple ngl

The Team

Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Ability: Fluffy
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind
- Roost

While Fur Coat is banned from AAA due to the sheer bulk it provides, fluffy is almost as good in nearly every case. While it only prevents contact moves (instead of physical moves in general), the only non-contact physical attacks of note are earthquake, which Skarmory is immune to, and Stone Edge, which it tends to wall anyway. Because of this, it checks almost half of the metagame with just one set. If a set wants to defeat this, it pretty much has to run fire moves or go mixed, as Whirlwind stops them from boosting to bypass Skarmory’s bulk. Roost keeps Skarmory healthy throughout the match, and Brave Bird stops it from being total tauntbait and lets it finish off Flying-weak or frail foes such as Pheremosa.

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- Heal Bell
- Stealth Rock
- Soft-Boiled

The other half of this walling core, Chansey is perhaps the best special wall, period, as any player who has faced against stall knows. Toxic provides a bit of needed pressure to punish switches or setup, while Heal Bell blocks attempts to wear down this team with status. Stealth Rock great for all the switches Chansey forces. Soft Boiled keeps chansey healthy throughout the match. Unaware is a necessity on chansey, as otherwise it cannot effectively check poison heal Manaphy.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roar
- Rest
- Scald
- Toxic

While Skarmory is an excellent physical wall, it never hurts to have backups. In particular, Suicune can easily take on Fire types such as Infernape that attempt to bypass Fluffy. It also walls any boosting sweepers that Skarmory would have to waste a turn Whirlwinding, and can spread burns with the best move in the game, Scald.

Zygarde @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 240 Def / 12 Spe
Impish Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Thousand Arrows
- Coil
- Protect

While Chansey can cure status, having an active method of absorption is always appreciated. With Poison Heal, Zygarde can switch into all manners of status users and proceed to ignore the move. Poison Heal also gives recovery better than rest, which all setup sweeper appreciate. Coil+Thousand arrows is practically unwallable, making this an excellent win condition, and dragon tail can remove pesky setup sweepers or prevent them from bringing in their counter. Most importantly, however, is that Dragon Tail blocks Whirlwind and Roar if Zygarde is faster than the foe, letting it stay boosted. It also deals with Bulky Magic Bounce set-up users such as Gyarados by Dragon Tailing them.

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Def / 12 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonlight
- Ice Beam
- Calm Mind

As the all around bulkiest non-uber around, cresselia was an obvious pick for slot 5. Magic bounce lets me take a proactive stance on hazard management, allowing me to not run out of defogs and in some cases not even let hazards go up. It also provides a secondary status wall and a pokemon resistant to Taunt. It’s a secondary win condition as well; as soon as Chansey and Unaware steels are gone, it defeats stall.

Magearna @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 24 Def / 232 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fleur Cannon
- Focus Blast
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon

A pivot and momentum theif, Magearna is perhaps the best regenerator in AAA. It has the amazing fairy-steel typing, great bulk, decent special attack, and even a pivot move in Volt Switch. Fleur Canon is an excellent nuke- since Magearna rarely stays in, the special attack drop isn’t all that noticable. Flash Canon provides a secondary, more reliable stab, as well as a way to hit other common regen pokemon such as Diancie. Focus Blast is there to hit steels that want to wall, while Volt Switch recovers health and steals momentum.

Conclusion

Tho, this stall might have quite a lot of weakness, thankfully they aren't that common. It might not be perfect, but it counters almost all the most used mons in this gen so far, and it at least gives something to build against when your making a team next time ;)
