Taking advantage of its opponents determined grip, Sobble retracts its tail, ensnaring Chewtle in coils of flesh that crush the air from its lungs. However, Chewtle's mood seems unaffected by this development, and it continues its assault, slightly loosening its bite before crunching down with renewed vigor. Sobble blows a ring of water at Chewtle, but fails to replicate its previous, lucky shot and succeeds only in moistening the turtle's horn. Chewtle then rolls in Sobble's grasp, flipping its opponent onto the ground with a dull slamming noise. Growing increasingly desperate, Sobble attacks with another water bubble, but its efforts remain unrewarded, causing minimal harm to Chewtle. In contrast, the turtle's repeated blows have caused significant injuries to Sobble, and it drives forth its advantage with another vicious chomp. Facing quite the predicament, Dogfish's Pokemon is now locked in a precarious struggle for survival, hindered by each passing turn that brings it closer to its seemingly inevitable demise.

Nevertheless, Chewtle is able to recover quickly, and, forcing its maw to close tighter around Sobble's body, rends its foe until the pain overwhelms Sobble's body, promptly forcing it to collapse in an unconscious state.

The end of the battle is nigh, as both trainers are acutely aware. Dogfish solemnly calls his Scorbunny to the field, ordering it to crash recklessly into Chewtle's shell. In retaliation, Chewtle looses a ferocious blow, goring Scorbunny with its dull horn. Accepting his Pokemon's fate, Dogfish commands Scorbunny to leap, and leap it does; bounding through the arena to build momentum, Scorbunny kicks off a wall and soars into the air, casting a shadow onto the arena as it begins its descent over Chewtle. Scorbunny then plummets to the ground, aligning its feet to stomp Chewtle into the floor. However, Chewtle's body briefly glows after absorbing the impact, and it suddenly rebounds against the resting rabbit, flinging Scorbunny from its shell with a sharp cracking noise and a dazzling flash as it releases the energy that it stored. After a hard landing, Scorbunny is obscured by a plume of dust, but it soon wanes to reveal Scorbunny's unconscious form. Unable to continue, Dogfish's last Pokemon has been exhausted, and Mowtom has achieved victory over her adversary!
