I did it. I beat every stage on 9.0. It was a long road, and quite frankly it was possibly the hardest thing i've ever done for gaming, but I finally did it. Above all else, I need to thank you man; without you I never would have even considered attempting it. You were like a friend would help me and a shadow at the same time. In most games, I never bother to attempt super "hard" challenges because I don't know anyone who completed them barring those inhuman players or liers (seriously there's a guy who claims to have beaten all stages on 9.0 with 40 hours of playtime and only 20 deaths >_>), but you... you were like "right" there. Granted, you were pretty fucking good (finishing all stages on 9.0 in that short amount of time while having exams and stuff was no easy feat) but I felt like if you could do it, I could possibly do it too.

Hmm well that depends. How strong was your weapon anyway? You said you use cancer claws with 4 range? I have a 4 range cancer claw (with 0 melee 9.9) and it deals like 55~.

If you seriously play like that then I must commend you, cause you're bossing. I passed that part but got my ass kicked at the kraken. I managed to beat him ONLY because I got a lucky aries aid off. What was your item set anyway, I ended up forgetting >_>

BTW I DID get to the 3GST, but got OBLITERATED. God dang, he's tough as hell. I don't understand how you can find this chapter easier than chapter 23, this chapter throws everything at you >_>

But yeah, I won't give up. When this game pushes me I push back harder.

PS: Just fused a gaol blade with +7 defense, 3 speed and 3 range / 2 melee. Hopefully that evens the playing field a bit.

There's no time, the fate of the world hangs in the balance! Seriously though, I can sorta consistently get by them using freeze / petrify attack, but the fight before the kracken is killing me. Fucking fort oinks and that floating plant seed enemy that does too much damage always get me :<

This chapter costs to muchhhhhhhh. God I hope I can do the fight against the 3GST without pisces heal...!

Yeah i'm finished. At least for a good part of today at least. This stage is insane. The mimicuties have 700 HP. 700, and if I mess up once I can't continue. Which means no pisces heal either... there's just gotta be a way to get past that part with little difficulty. I'm using petrify attack now, and I can beat them, but I now I die in the area before the kracken fight because I literally have nothing left.

Hehe yeah, I was on a roll. I'm using my trusty gaol blade with 4 range / 4+ overall defense, but I also used my shock orbitars with 2 range / 7 defense / 3 speed. I die to quickly with the former, but I can kill the damned things, and the latter is impossible to finish em off quickly. Unfortunately, I don't have a good pair of claws so that option is out for now.

How on EARTH am I supposed to defeat the mimicuties. I can get through the stages just fine, but they keep killing me. It's incredibly frustrating -_-. The worst part is that it got to the point where I actually brought instant death just to deal with them.

I fucking hate how this stage takes 12000+ hearts, but if you die you only make like 3000-5000 hearts. This is truly the worst stage in the game for me at least >_>

I did it, I can't believe I actually beat that fucking boss. Listen, there was no other way to beat it other than to master the fight, and master it I did. The level itself is really brutal... it ended up eating my pisces heal in that one gauntlet, so I had no choice but to take on the heart without any items. Anyway

AND I JUST BEAT THE CHAOS KIN STAGE TOO. Bastard had like 2 million HP... seriously I think I got lucky. I was like in the zone... but goDDAMN did your item set help me out. I had to take some cuts and corners, but they were so useful. Waves 1, 2 were annoying, but I especially had trouble with 4 AND FUCKING 13. The giant saucer thing literally had boss level hp. I was pounding away for a good 3-4 minutes AND IT KEPT SPAWNING UNITS. I had a sliver of health left, but somehow I made it.

Had to take a break before fighting the Chaos Kin. He was easy, but he had way too much HP lol. Only 2 more stages to go!

So I just finished chapter 19... Sheesh, I think I got lucky. Only died 3 times, which when you factor in the damn chapters length isn't THAT bad. God damn circular tower after the drink of the gods killed me twice though. I managed to keep Pisces heal for the chariot master and holy SHIT, you weren't even kidding when you said he was tough. There's a period of time at the beginning of the match where you can't even move and he lays down mines and that eats up like 65% of your health. If I didn't have Pisces heal I would have been finished for sure.

I'll tackle chapter 21 (already beat chapter 20) next, and after that its the 3 great sacred chapters. (shudders)

PS: I read your summaries on the hard chapters religiously.

Gah fuck Arlon's stage. Died 4 times in a row before I finally finished it.

1st was against Dark Pit. He kicked my ass. Fortunately I mastered his movement and learned how to beat him on a dime.
2nd was against Arlon himself. I ran out of juice (no items, no nothing) but he was in his last phase and I could feel him getting weaker.
3rd was during the air segment. Died at the very end when one of those plant cannons shot me.
4th WAS AGAINST THE FUCKING WORM. It did like 3/4ths of my HP the first time, and I had to rape my 3DS to get out. I messed up and got grabbed again, so I was like "fuck this shit, not going to wreck my 3DS)

On my fifth attempt I:
-Aced the aerial segment
-Destroyed Dark Pit
-Saved 2 brief invincibility powers just for that fucking worm
-Wrecked the FUCK out of Arlon

I'm on my way I guess. Next i'll tackle Phosphora and the aurum stages, and after the that its chapter 19 + 20 until I reach the forbidden 3 chapters.

Yeah, I mean the game itself is challenging and I can't turn down a challenge like that. I'm just deathly afraid of chapter 23 and 24. I've always been bad at beating Hades Heart and I really have no choice in the matter, I HAVE to get good at beating him... Chapter 24 doesn't seem so bad, but I don't think my power set will last.

I'm doing it man. I'm making this happen. Going on my intensity 9.0 run. So far I'm up to chapter 11 (most of my stages are completed on 8) with chapter 18 and 25 completed as well. I limited myself to 1 chapter a day. Chapter 10 was a BITCH. Fuck those chests, FUCK the tempura douchezard, and the Phoenix got me in a combo and almost killed me. How do you deal with almost running out of hearts?

Thankfully pisces heal is fucking amazing. I'm a believer XD

PS: :X chapter 21, 23 and 24. Arguably the 3 hardest chapters in the game, they give me nightmares.

Alright! I've definitely got those abilities, so I can tackle those chapters in the near future when i'm ready to play Kid Icarus. Do you think my 4 range / 4 melee, 4 defense / 4 paralysis (4444 9.9) is enough, or should I bulk up on a better item?

BTW, REALLY digging the write ups, they'll help a ton in the future. I just got Pisces Heal lvl 4 randomly last night ^_^

Anyway, you're well on your way to putting this game to rest. You put your entire heart and soul into this game, and it shows. I guess i'm proud of you, but also happy that ended up being a winner (instead of that guy who's stuck at a certain place forever...)

BTW, Aside from the "finish chapter 19 with a club" mission, are there any other missions that are impossible? I'm afraid that I might end up getting screwed if I face a challenge I can breach in the future.

Truth be told, you completing all of those challenges was enough tbh, I don't think i'll be finishing my 9.0 run this time around (i've got other games to play like Xenoblade) but for sure i'll refer to you when I attempt them in the future.

Chapter 24? I'm starting to think that chapter is the hardest chapter in the game, well at least for me. It's brutal haha... glad to see you ended up beating it!
