Un passant ordinaire
Honchkrow [M] [Mesrine]
A young Murkrow that loved money more than anything else, Mesrine had a rough live as he had to escape from the police continually, without any kind of break during his numerous escapes. One day, Passant was passing by a forest, searching for a Pokémon to be his first partner, and heard the faint sound of a crash. Mesrine was injured and couldn't even get up. The little bird had enough of this outlaw's life, and wished to change ; the human and the Pokémon met with these thoughts in their mind. A deal was made this day: Passant would help Mesrine to get a new life, and Mesrine would be Passant's Pokémon. Mesrine has grown up since then, and now trainer and Pokémon are good friends, drinking coffee and enjoying other trainer's match together. The Honchkrow has even found a new hobby: playing chess. But never against Bob and its numerical brain. There isn't any fair fight possible.

Magnezone [Nutella]

Nutella was one funny Magnemite since the beginning: it was complaining all the time. There isn't enough magnetism here, I'm allergic to dogs, it's too cold out there... The only thing it enjoys is the brand-name chocolate spread. How does it eat it, we have yet to discover. Passant found it eating some Nutella in a supermarket, and that made him curious about this Magnemite. The Magnemite saw Passant's shopping cart: "THREE JARS OF NUTELLA? THAT MAN HAS GOOD TASTES." it thought. And that's how Nutella became Passant's Pokémon. It complains a bit less than before, and discovered another activity that he enjoys a lot: Pokémon battles.

Ginette [F] [Beedrill]

A huge fan of Gurren Lagann's iconic character, Ginette was a weak Weedle and hated herself for that. That's the reason she searched far and wide for someone who would acknowledge her and accept to train her. Every signle trainers that encoutered her in the wild didn't even try to catch her: they all beat her up without any form of mercy. However, when Passant's Murkrow, Mesrine, fought her, he was astonished by her will to keep up and continue to fight, even if she hadn't any chance of winning. Passant decided to not finish her off and move on, instead he discussed with her. Seeing Ginette's thirst of training and improving, he knew she would become a powerful Beedrill one day. And he was right. Ginette gained might and self-confidence, she feels ready to pierce the heavens with her sting! But until then, she watches Gurren Lagann again and again with Bob and Charlotte.

Wishiwashi [F] [Dory]
Do you know the saying? Fishes have a terrible memory according to it. That's especially the case with this Wishiwashi. Passant found her in a beach agonizing, out of the water, as she forgot she can breathe only in water. Passant decided to put her back in her element, however the truly thankful Wishiwashi insisted: she begged Passant to let her join his team. She was aware of her illness, and thought being with other Pokémon in a team could help her. And it seems that her condition improved a little bit: she don't forget her teammate anymore. She even became good friend with Mesrine as they enjoy playing chess -she's not bad at all at this game! Anyway, she's a strong member of the team, and her school form is nothing to laugh at.

Granny Pie

Aurumoth [Aurum] (Female)
"The voice of reason is small, but very persistent."
GP first met Aurum when she was still a little Cupra. His mom was stomping around the house and screaming about a "GIANT MONSTER COCKROACH". GP saved Aurum from the blind fury of his mom's stomping slippers, and they've been friends ever since. Aurum's mild nature really evens out GP's jolliness and energy, and she remains to this day the voice on his head saying "Y'know, this probably isn't a great idea." Even though Aurum is a huge support, and the voice of reason for many of her friends, she was fairly self-concious, with a deep-seated disgust for her own appearance, probably coming from the whole "monster cockroach" incident. She hid it well, but had often disguised herself as other, prettier Pokemon, and had always wanted to evolve, hoping that she might blossom into a Pokemon worthy of other's admiration.
Now in her final stage, a newfound confidence is beginning to rise in her, and she is much more proud of her own beauty, so much so that she is a little loathe to hide it behind an Illusion.
Types: Bug/Psychic
Bug: STAB; Adds an additional guaranteed attack on all multi-hit moves (does not include two hit moves) with a total hit cap of five (5).
Psychic: STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.
Abilities:
Weak Armor
(Toggle) By default the Pokemon loosens its worn defensive armor so that it will break off when an opponent uses a contact attack, reducing the Pokemon's Defense by one (1) stage for each hit and increasing their Speed by two (2) stages for each hit. When toggled, no effect.
No Guard (Passive) This Pokemon has an immense confidence from perfecting each of its attacks, giving them all perfect accuracy as well as ignoring the effects of Double Team, evasive moves, Dodge, Sky Drop, and evasive damaging moves. As a result, it feels it can weather every strike, and will not dodge an attack even if ordered to. Only when an OHKO move is issued by the opponent does the Pokemon sense return, and the Pokemon acts normally. Additionally, even with their extra skill, the power and exhaustion involved in using OHKO moves prevents them from being benefited by No Guard; they will have their normal accuracy.
Illusion (H) (Passive) (Unlocked) Whenever you send this Pokemon out, it can feign the appearance of another member on your squad. If this Pokemon is damaged by a direct attack, the Illusion will cease at the end of the round. Direct damage is any attack that does damage to the Pokemon's HP. Attacks that are evaded, blocked via Protect, or damage a Substitute are not considered direct damage. It will retain the typing and moveset of the Pokemon with Illusion. [Usage Note: PM the ref if you are sending out a Pokemon with Illusion with the info on said Pokemon and one of your squad members in a Switch=KO battle. You must use that squad member later in the battle though.]

"This song may be familiar, but yet, it's totally different. Kind of like me."
Coloratura was always an odd, somewhat contradictory Pokemon. Even her typing is a contradiction. (I mean, c'mon. Imagine a bug on fire. Not a pretty sight.) Coloratura is always seeking fame and attention from big crowds, but is quite modest, and even a little shy when you meet her face-to-face. Nevertheless, she has lots of confidence, and a burning desire to put on a show for her fans. But she has no greater love than that towards her friends and family, with her intense Unova patriotism coming in close second. She and GP still remain in the Sinnoh Pokemon Contest Hall of Fame, their nomination there being inspired by both their strong connection to each other, and Coloratura's incredible shows with her surprisingly beautiful voice (yes, bugs can sing), waving fire, and air-rippling Bug Buzzes. Just know that when Coloratura wants to put on a show, she really puts on a show.

Weavile [Shizune Hakamichi] (Female)
"Can you tell me what you think?"
Shizune is not the typical Weavile. Born deaf, she has relied on nonverbal communication and deception note than the others she was raised alongside. Just think: how is a Sneasel meant to catch prey when she cannot hear it? The solution was to deceive said prey into a false sense of security, believing that this deaf Sneasel was no threat. Then she leads it into a trap or an ambush, instantly incapacitating the surprised prey. Shizune's intelligent and efficient hunting techniques and her natural assertiveness and competitive nature disposed her towards a leadership position of sorts among her peers. But when the time came for the Sneasels to separate from their mothers, Shizune found herself alone. Venturing south from the snowy plains around Snowpoint City in Sinnoh, Shizune was following flashes through the frost-covered evergreens, hoping to find a fight. She hoped to find and overpower two weakened wild Pokemon, but would've settled with stealing from a distracted trainer. Surprisingly, she came across a pair of sparring trainers. She watched a Haunter dart around a Roselia, sucking the Roselia's life force while fighting off vines covering it's own body. And so Shizune hid behind a frosted tree trunk, watching and waiting.
At one of the trainer's sides, however, a Duosion, not apart of the match, but still accompanying her trainer, sensed an outside presence near the battle. She idly wandered towards it, curious, while bobbing up and down and humming. Shizune, focused on the battle, did not notice this Duosion, as she couldn't hear the humming, until a voice erupted into her head. "Hi~!! I'm Misha! Who are you~?" Shizune immediately jumped, shocked senseless by this mental shouting. Shizune didn't question it until later, but this Duosion could communicate with her, and had accidentally given her her first ever experience hearing language, if you could call it hearing. Shizune would later describe it as "a thought that had a different voice from mine". Off-guard, and trying to play off Misha's possible suspicion, Shizune began using her bodily communications to introduce herself to this Duosion, subconsciously running the words she was saying through her head. Daft as she is, Misha soon figured out that this Sneasel was not like most Pokemon. "I'm deaf," Shizune thought and signed. "I have been my whole life." Fascinated, Misha launched imto overdrive, asking Shizune every single question about her life as you could imagine. As Misha barraged Shizune with questions about her life, the match wrapped up, and the two trainers came over to see why the Duosion was making such a commotion, even more commotion than usual. When GP and Shizune saw each other from behind the trunk, they both recognized each other somehow, in the way you do when you just see a Pokemon for the first time and know that it should be your's, or when you see a person for the first time and you both just know that you're going to be best friends. As TMan strolled over, asking Misha what the matter was, GP tossed a Dusk Ball Shizune's way, and she caught it, flashing into it with a sense of belonging, almost. When Shizune came out of the Dusk Ball, GP and TMan introduced her to their own accompanying Pokemon, a task that would have been much more difficult had Misha not been there to read Shizune's thoughts and act as a sort of Psychic translator.
There is a certain level of respect that Shizune holds for each member of GP's team, and that level of mutual respect is the foundation of Shizune's opinions.
Scrappy likes her, viewing her as another tough, but possibly sensitive girl to White Knight. She doesn't like Scrappy's protective attitude towards her, but appreciates his attention.
Aurum cares for her, but understands how independent Shizune is. Shizune respects Aurum and her boundaries, but does become aggravated at Aurum's occasional motherly acts.
Shizune does not respect nor like Abigail, despite their similar predispositions. Abigail understands that, but doesn't really care. She'd rather smoke weed.
But Misha... Shizune cares for Misha most of all. Misha is the only one regularly allowed into Shizune's mind, and the two have bonded on a level deeper than most others, given that they both share their minds with each other on a regular basis. The two try to be near each other as much as they can, which is relatively easy, given TMan and GP's close travels. Heck, if one of them is to go off somewhere, they often leave their half of the pairing for the other to watch over, just so Shizune and Misha can be together. Shizune and Misha, from that first fateful encounter, are now irreversibly tied together. Confidants, conspirers, and friends.

Gardevoir [Sonata] (Female)
"But first, lunch! It's Taco Tuesday!"
Sonata wasn't always a good Pokemon. She used to be a part of a gang, the Sirens, luring people and Pokemon to them with their beautiful singing, and then knocking them out with Hyper Voice, Echoed Voice, Sing, Boomburst... If it was a sound move, they used it. They were eventually forced apart by powers greater than theirs, and so Sonata wandered, stealing from Pokemon and Trainers she knocked out or drew the pity of. One day, she came across GP having a Taco Picnic with Scrappy and Abigail. She tried to sneak up on them, hoping to steal their tasty, tasy tacos, as they are her favorite food. Scrappy sensed her with his growing aura abilities, and notified GP of her presence. He smiled, asking her to come out. She did, trying to act natural and look cute instead of looking super suspicious. It fooled Scrappy, but not Abigail. Luckily, Abigail was intrigued by Sonata, hoping to finally meet another semi-sadistic Pokemon. Meanwhile, Scrappy's eyes turned into big, pink hearts at the sight of her, and he quickly reached into the basket to give her a taco. Taken aback, and suspicious of this Crucibelle giving her a weird look, Sonata took a bite of the taco, looking at GP appraisingly. The taco was amazing. Sonata's eyes widened in wonder at this Mexican glory, and she almost literally threw herself into one of GP's Pokeballs. Over time, she's grown a strong relationship with Abigail and Scrappy, Abigail and her being the resident semi-sadists, and Scrappy trying to be her "white knight". Even today, he still shrugs off the depths of her repressed depravity, always saying that "all she needs is some acceptance and friendship!" Maybe he's right. Who knows. Sonata's also developed a sort of rivalry with Aurum, with Aurum seeing Sonata as a troublesome, disobedient child, and Sonata seeing Aurum as an overcontrolling, unwelcome mother. To this day, GP is unable to tell Sonata that the tacos weren't his... They were a gift from his much more talented Mexican friend. T_T
Types: Psychic/Fairy
Psychic: STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.
Fairy: The consecutive move usage penalty for using damaging Fairy-type moves is reduced to two (2) from four (4).
Abilities:
Synchronize (Passive) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and when inflicted by the major status ailments Burn, Poison, or Paralysis, will share their status condition with the opponent. Pokemon will not be inflicted by status conditions to which they are immune by virtue of typing, ability, etc.
Trace (Trigger) When entering into battle, this Pokemon can copy an ability on one of its opponents for 6 EN. This effect only triggers if the ability to be copied is specified when the Pokemon is sent out. When facing a pokemon with Trace, the Player sending out last must send out the pokemon without orders, in order to give the opponent the opportunity to trigger trace and any orders eventually given will be ignored until given the opportunity for trace to be triggered. The ability remains on the Pokemon for six (6) actions. Wonder Guard cannot be Traced. Command: Activate Trace (target ability) - 5 En - Replace Trace with the target Ability for six (6) actions. When the copied ability fades, the user regains Trace.
Telepathy (Passive) (Hidden) This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple battles, which allows it to avoid taking damage from allied attacks that damage each foe or the entire field like Blizzard and Earthquake. They are still affected by an opponents spread damage attacks.
Pixilate (Toggle) (Mega) By default, this Pokemon's Normal-type moves are Fairy-type moves, and have an additional two (2) BAP boost. When toggled, this Pokemon's Normal-type attacks have their BAP increased by two (2). Only Normal-typed moves changed by Pixilate receive this boost, and not all Fairy-type moves. If a Pokemon has been skill-swapped multiple abilities that change Normal-type attacks, the attacks become dual-typed, but the BAP boosts of the abilities do not stack.

Today's match features two seasoned teams with terrifying power and a good bunch of tricks and traps (no treats though). Upon first glance, UPO's ace might very well be his Beedrill, hitting supereffectively 3 out of 4 of GP's mons and able to pivot around if need be. On the other hand, GP has an extremely offensive team, with nothing having less than r6 in the useful attacking stat. Mega Gardevoir will obviously be showcased in all of its splendor, but it'll have to watch out for opposing threats.
Even if I am utterly disappointed by the presence of items and the lack of foxes, only one question can be asked right now.

Leeeet's begin! Granny Pie sends his trusty Aurumoth out while Un Passant Ordinaire opts for Wishiwashi, who instantly summons its kin once out of its Pokéball. Aurumoth flutters aggresively while absorbing light, but the fish creates four shadows that gang up on it and give it a severe beating, preventing it from harming its foe! A bit shaken, the bug retaliates by launching a powerful bolt towards the school of Wishiwashi, who stomachs it somewhat well and tries to drench Aurumoth in what appears to be a literal tornado made of water.
Confident that Wishiwashi will now be more careful, Aurumoth begins charging light again... and again it faces the same shadows as before, while Wishiwashi peacefully swims on the other side of the arena.
This round showcased a very aggressive neutral game from UPO, who almost took the first stock of the game! However, GP can now sit back a but and hopefully camp out everything Wishiwashi can throw at it to regain some ground. Aurumoth is no Brawl's Meta Knight, but it still has a good amount of mixups to use!

Yo, I have further realized that I sent you the wrong Aurumoth data. She now has Rank 3 Special Defense as per the update, which should affect the next round, but not this past one, since you calced Wishiwashi as having 1 less SpA rank than it should. Well, now that you fixed that, she has Rank 3 SpDef, so that first calculation was technically correct.

What... what was that??

Don't worry about it! Just sit back and let the crouch-healing work it's magic!

IF Wishiwashi lands a critical hit, THEN Cry, and activate action string Thunder --> Thunder --> Thunder.

The first round had UPO literally beating up GP, but will he capitalize on it this time? Aurumoth tries to soften the impressive blows coming at it with a Light Screen, which does lessen the damage it takes from a shower of water as salty as Granny Pie was last round. Desperate to not lose a stock, Aurumoth tries to camp out the fish's attack only for it to calmly set up a healing strategy. It gained some time but that heal will be annoying due to Wishi's incredible bulk and good mono-Water typing. Finally, the moth tries to set up its own healing but a tidal wave summoned by its foe leaves it on the verge of fainting. Granny Pie managed to survive another round but his Pokémon will have to survive one action at 5 HP.
To summarize, this round was some good conversion of UPO's initially great neutral game despite GP's solid temporizing tactics due to the sheer offensive pressure Wishiwashi applies and the meh matchup Auru is into. Even though the bug will likely be sent into the blast zone next round, perhaps GP can grab some stage control back?

Obviously this round begins with Aurumoth wanting to receive its Wish as safely as possible, therefore Protecting. Wishi, taking advantage of this opportunity, orders some of its underlings to act as a decoy for opposing attacks. The battles then returns to a fierce intensity when the fish summons four familiar dark silhouettes to gang up on the very weakened Aurumoth, who fires in retaliation a gigantic electric bolt! However, the decoy acts the part and absorbs the entirety of the damage, leaving the school unharmed. Tonight's dinner is grilled fish, woohoo!
*ahem*
Aurumoth, forced to cool down after such an impressive demonstration of power, can only watch as another tidal wave seals its destiny, leaving it motionless ashore.
UPO takes the firsts tock on an impressive read while being at an healthy %age. That's a challenge lying ahead for GP, since he now has to deal with a terrifying foe in a 3v4. However, Wishi's beginning to tire...

Upset by his lack of damage in earlier rounds, Granny Pie sends out his Gardevoir to hopefully inflict massive damage to its foe. However, Gardevoir chooses to set up Light Screen once again first, in order to avoid taking too much damage. It manages to soften the blow from Wishi's Hydro Pump, though Mystic Water proves itself as a worthy item since it increases flat damage and not BAP! It is now time to go on the offensive and the fish is hit with Mega Gardevoir's trademark Pixilate Hyper Voice that packs a solid punch! Not really fazed though, Wishiwashi launches a smaller, boiling hot stream of water at Gardevoir, trying to burn it... but that's unsuccessful, even if it's still good damage.
Granny Pie opts for a long-term strategy with a Future Sight to increase its damage output next round, while Passant simply fires another Hydro Pump for immediate damage.
Mega Gardevoir has taken quite the beating in this round but Wishiwashi is running out of energy! Will the next round see the fall of this monster?

To justifiy my stance, here's the rule: One other attribute a combo has is base energy cost. This is the minimum amount of energy the Pokemon needs to execute the combo. If it has less, the combo fails and the Pokemon faints from exhaustion. If the combo is a same-move combo, the base energy cost is the cost of using the move on that action and the following action, with all modifiers like STAB and consecutive use penalty factored in.

Looking at these orders, the theme for this round is "chicken dance"! Gardevoir immediately tries to evade any attack by teleporting away in the arena every two seconds, but one little mistake let her too close from the fish who violently slaps her as if predicting her position!
But, what's that! Gardevoir suddenly quietly sits on the floor and begins to sips on a cup of tea! Where does the tea come from? More importantly, will UPO make use of such a perfect opportunity? Apparently yes, as Wishi starts to gather enormous amounts of dark energy and then unl- huh?
The fish just... dropped?
Hmmmm given the circumstances, I'd say it has fainted from exhaustion, though I'm a bit far to see... Ah! The referee raises a flag, it is a KO for Gardevoir! Well, that's an unfortunate mistake!
The playing field is now even, though Gardevoir isn't that healthy. The battle can still go one way or another!

Don't forget to write the remaining duration of Light Screen somewhere ~

@ Charged Stone
"I SENSE THE PRESENCE OF SOME TEA, MAY I JOIN YOU?"

Volt Switch | Flash Cannon | Discharge
If Sonata is under a succesful P/E move this action and won't use Encore next action, then use Light Screen the first instance, chill further instances, pushing back actions each time.
If Sonata is to use Hypnosis this action and won't use Encore next action, then use Magic Coat instead and push actions back.
If Magnezone is asleep when it is to act, then use Sleep Talk (Flash Cannon, Thunderbolt, Discharge, Volt Switch) instead and push actions back.

Of course you can!
But first, you're going to have to get it~!

Gardevoir:
Taunt --> Hypnosis --> Teleport (Switch)

Here's to hoping Hypnosis hits.

Gardevoir is feeling refreshed after its tea and welcomes UPO's Magnezone on the field. Fearing Zone's powerful status moves, Gardevoir immediately Taunts it by throwing its tea at it. How rude. Feeling unwelcomed, Magnezone just nopes Volt Switches out of there, though it'll have to wait until the end of the round.
Gardevoir then tries to put the electrical UFO thingy to sleep... and succeeds! If only for a split second. Magnezone dozes off but fires off a powerful Flash Cannon a second after!
Facing a desperate situation, Gardevoir tries to get outta here but is mercilessly finished off by a bolt of electricity emanating from the Steel-type Pokémon, leaving it nowhere to teleport to.
Magnezone emerges out of this round untouched, which will probably help UPO later on. For now, we shall eagerly await a whole new duel!
