Welcome to UU Teambuilding Workshops! This is a cross-platform project between the UnderUsed subforum and the UU room on Showdown.
How it works:
  • Workshops will be held in the UU room on PS!
  • A date and time for the workshop will be chosen by the hosts and announced in the thread.
  • At the beginning of the workshop, the hosts will set the UU room modchat to +, decide on the team's starting Pokemon/core/concept, and begin discussing and building.
    • The hosts, any room or global voice and above, and teambuilding lab members will do most of the building. (Teambuilding lab members who wish to participate will be given temporary roomvoice if they are not already voice or higher.)
  • Frequently during the building and when important decisions need to be made, a poll will be created and modchat will be set to autoconfirmed for a few minutes, opening discussion to the general userbase. As always, quality contributions will not go unnoticed by the roomstaff and could potentially earn you roomvoice!
    • The workshops are being held with alternating windows of hosts/staff discussion and general discussion to ensure the workshop is not derailed and discussion stays focused; this is open to being changed in the future if everything goes smoothly.
  • When the team is completed, users will be able to test the team on the ladder and in friendly unrated matches. If there is a glaring issue, the team will be tweaked before the conclusion of the workshop.
  • Once the workshop is finished, the team will be posted by one of the hosts in this thread for the community to access and discuss.
The hosts of this project are LeoLancaster, Eyan, Cyndequil., and nv, who will be hosting the majority of the teambuilding workshops. If, however, a different roomstaff or teambuilding lab member wishes to host a workshop, they can VM/PM one of us with the date and time they'd like to host and we will announce it in the thread.

Additionally, many of these workshops will feature a special guest builder, such as King UU or another prominent UU builder. These sessions will be especially good times to learn from some of our best.

Currently Scheduled Workshops:
- none atm, stay tuned!

This team was built around the concept of Hydreigon + Fighting type + Poison | Steel type as decided by the userbase of the UU room on PS!. Many options were individually discussed for a good 2 hours or so before this final version was created. Feel free to test and edit the team as you see fit.

Logs for those who missed it: http://pastebin.com/CQA6FYx4

This is only the first workshop, so there will be changes made to future ones. You're welcome to PM me or any of the other hosts with feedback and suggestions if you see them on PS!. Thanks to all that participated in this (there were too many to count), and we hope to see you in the next one!
