some teams do suck, get over it.
to elaborate: if we allowed players to play more than one tier, you would see teams like oceania slot heist in every tier, and probably have a fair chance at getting far into playoffs. you would see spl teams consist of m dragon and 6 lower tier players or something along those lines. [insert joke about how that happens already] its a dumb idea, please realize.

I know this isn't very relevant considering signups are almost over, but...
Question: Why are Montana and Wyoming considered US Central instead of US West? Every native resident will refer to himself or herself as a Westerner, and their state songs declare themselves "The Glory of the West" and "The Good Old West", respectively. Definitely much higher in terms of Western cultural identity than somewhere like Oregon or Nevada. I don't think this would cause a huge swing in terms of player access considering that Montana has the 7th lowest population of any US state, and Wyoming is actually the smallest. Plus it would fall more in line with the WCoP motto of "fight for your country!". Something to consider changing for next year.
Then again, maybe I'm the only one who gives a shit about this, having lived in both states for a time. Promise it isn't a conspiracy to expand my team's territory.

This clearly isn't based on any kind of regional identity, none of Montana/Wyoming/New Mexico/Louisiana/Texas/Mississippi/Alabama identify as "midwestern" in any way, Oklahoma/Texas/Colorado are all stretches, Michigan should be Central and there should be a US South if we were going on regional divisions.

I'm aware of that, and I think it should be based on regional culture to some extent, but that's beside the point. What I'm wondering is what it is in fact based on. Also why there's such a population disparity between regions. Even if we're going off landmass, US East gets shorted hard compared to Central/West, and let's not even mention Metro. Seems like the only planning that went into dividing up the USA was to open up MS Paint and draw some vertical lines, then give NY+NJ their own region. And the fact that this was done by two Canadians doesn't give me any confidence.
The Canadian people are good at curling and they gave us Justin Bieber. Don't hate.
