It would seem there's little left to do but attack! Budew repositions herself behind her decoy and launches a ball of toxic sludge over it like a mortar shell. The purple sphere partially dissipates upon hitting Ralts' Light Screen, but a good portion of it still passes through and hits him. Meanwile, Ralts finally decides to take care of Budew's Substitute Doll; using his mental powers, he tears the toy to a shred with a barrage of shrapnel and debris. A smattering of tattered cotton, felt and thread scatters through the air.

From here on out, the attacks really start flying. Summoning life-stealing energy beams, invisible psychic shockwaves, and gooey slimeballs, both fighters give it their all -- and astonishingly, they're both still left standing at the end of the round!

It's obvious that both Pokemon have taken a great deal of damage throughout the course of the battle. Budew shrinks a little as she feels the last of her stored sunlight drain from her body. At the same time, Ralts keels over in poison-induced nausea (it seems that last Sludge Bomb had a particularly debilitating effect upon him).
