First blood has been shed!

Defeated bullets12 in a convincing fashion; those were good games, though. :)

Game 1: My opponent playing too safely in this game cost him the match, perhaps out of uncertainty what my Uxie and Salamence are running. Yes, it's the Magic Room Uxie + Hone Claws Salamence (with Choice Scarf) that I have patented since the ORAS generation (at least in the UU tier). After his Azumarill got eliminated through Haze Tentacruel, I was finding some opportunities for Uxie to set up Magic Room and make a sweep from there.

Game 2: I was actually scared when his Salazzle sets up on my Pyukumuku, but he ended up switching out for fear of Innards Out taking his Salazzle out of the equation. Now that I pulled it off a few turns then, I made Slaking do the dirty work, thinking it would finish off his team. However, that Devastating Drake cut its glorious sweep short, ending the game with a Moonblast KO from Whimsicott instead.

it kinda sucks that the tier we're playing in this tour and the tier that's currently being played on the ladder are different, and that should probably be addressed in the thread's OP, but w/e

big shoutout to my opponent for giving me a fair chance to play even though i brought banned mons like 5 times lol

Was told to take the win.
So, when King UU and I saw Sacri's first message (quoted above), we assumed this was in reference to his round 2 matchup versus Omfuga. However, on closer inspection this was actually in reference to his extended r1 matchup. It looks like Sacri' never played his r2 matchup with Omfuga.

This means that Sacri' was actually put into round 3 by mistake, when he should have had an extension to finish his match with Omfuga.

SO, here's how I'll handle this:

  1. Omfuga and Sacri' play out their round 2 match.
  2. If Sacri' wins, then you move on to round 4 as was planned (since you already beat your r3 opponent).
  3. If Omfuga wins, then he is to play CoolStoryBrobat for round 3 (so CSB theoretically might get a second shot to advance).
Sorry this is so messy, wish I'd caught this before you and CSB played your game.

I'll go ahead and announce this now:

Starting next round, Jirachi will be banned from this tour.

Jirachi was always one of the best Pokemon in UU every time it was allowed, thanks to near-perfect stats, a great typing and a fantastic movepool that gave it a ton of sets. Whether it was acting as one the best pivots and revenge killers in the game with its Scarf set or completely crapping on balance teams with its SubToxic set, it was always a major threat.

However, with the advent of Z-Happy Hour, Jirachi has crossed beyond the "really damned good" line. A boost to all stats combined with Jirachi's already formidable bulk and decent Speed makes it near-impossible to kill, and while it isn't an offensive powerhouse by any means, Iron Head's 60% flinch chance and enough coverage to break through any possible counters makes the set extraordinarily hard to play around.

Jirachi will still be allowed for any remaining games this round, but will be banned from round 4 and beyond.
