[OVERVIEW]

Rotom's defensive typing grants it three immunities and five resistances, allowing it to spinblock, switch into plenty of threats and coverage moves, and notably successfully revenge kill big threats to offense such as a boosted Zangoose thanks to its part Ghost typing. Offensively, it allows Rotom to be one of the best Choice Scarf users in the tier in tandem with its acceptable offensive stats, as well as giving it solid neutral coverage and letting it offensively pressure Ghost-, Psychic-, and Flying-types like Mismagius, Slowbro, and Braviary. It also has access to Volt Switch and support moves such as Trick and Will-O-Wisp, the latter of which also lets it act as a more versatile wallbreaker in tandem with Hex. Rotom's access to Defog, immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, and good matchup against most Stealth Rock setters mean that it can clear entry hazards with ease. However, despite its great typing, Rotom has lackluster defenses, no reliable recovery, and a crippling weakness to Dark-types such as Sneasel. Rotom's offensive stats are not exceptional either, which prevents it from dealing solid damage unless it spams boosted Hex, uses Never-Ending Nightmare, or hits the foe super effectively.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Volt Switch provides momentum on the switches Rotom often forces against Flying- and Water-types such as Dodrio and Qwilfish. Rotom’s ability to potentially pack Will-O-Wisp can also force switches unless the opponent has scouted for the set. Thunderbolt provides a strong Electric-type attack that lets Rotom stay in against the foe, unlike Volt Switch. Shadow Ball is Rotom's Ghost-type STAB move that can be used if the opponent's team can handle Electric-type moves or has a Ghost-type weakness to exploit. It can also hit Pokemon immune to Rotom's Electric-type attacks such as Rhydon and Steelix. Defog allows Rotom to clear entry hazards for its teammates. Trick is an amazing utility move for shutting down walls such as Venusaur that would otherwise be able to take on Rotom. Trick also lets Rotom cripple hazard setters such as Steelix.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed along with a Timid nature and Choice Scarf are used so Rotom can outspeed Pokemon such as Whimsicott, Sceptile, +1 Vivillon, and Choice Scarf Emboar and Hitmonlee. Levitate is Rotom's only ability; it also makes Rotom significantly better at clearing entry hazards because it gives Rotom an immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom can be switched in after a teammate has fainted to revenge kill the foe or pivot with Volt Switch to give a safe switch to a teammate and gain momentum. However, take care when using Volt Switch if your opponent is packing a Ground-type, because if they switch it in on a predicted Electric-type attack all momentum is lost. Carefully use Defog, as being locked into it allows Pokemon such as Vivillon and Klinklang to freely set up. Rotom can also be used as a late-game cleaner once the opponent's team has been weakened. It's important to play with Trick the right way; only hand off the Choice Scarf to a passive or very slow Pokemon, and make sure Rotom has done its job first. One exception, though, would be if the benefit of crippling a certain wall, such as Golbat, is greater than that of being able to KO a faster Pokemon later in the game. If you need Rotom later in the game, avoid locking it into Shadow Ball when Pursuit users such as Sneasel are on the opposing team.

Team Options
========

Rotom fits in well on balanced or offensive teams looking for a powerful revenge killer capable of taking out big threats to offense such as +6 Quick Attack Zangoose. Since Rotom doesn't have the offensive presence of a setup sweeper, strong wallbreakers such as Medicham, Vanilluxe, and Emboar are highly recommended to pressure and break down the opposing team's defensive core. Fighting- and Fairy-types like Hariyama and Mega Audino are great teammates because they can check Dark-types and switch into Knock Off. Entry hazard setters such as Garbordor and Accelgor are all great teammates, as Rotom can support them immensely with its ability to force switches and spinblock. However, running Trick instead of Defog is preferred when pairing Rotom with these Pokemon because running Defog support on hazard stack is counterproductive. Grass-types and Pokemon like Steelix are common switch-ins to Rotom, so Pokemon that can pressure these threats, such as Emboar and Slowbro, are appreciated as partners.

[SET]
name: Defog
move 1: Defog
move 2: Hex
move 3: Volt Switch / Thunderbolt
move 4: Will-O-Wisp
item: Colbur Berry / Ghostium Z
ability: Levitate
nature: Timid
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Defog allows Rotom to clear entry hazards for its teammates against the majority of hazard setters. Hex is Rotom's main STAB move. While its Base Power is lower than that of Shadow Ball, it has 130 Base Power when used against any Pokemon afflicted with status. Thunderbolt gives Rotom a reliable secondary STAB move that isn't reliant on the opponent being statused. However, Volt Switch is a great alternative that can give momentum on the switches Rotom forces. Will-O-Wisp is used to cripple switch-ins such as Steelix and Vileplume so Rotom can then hit them with a boosted Hex.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed and Special Attack EVs along with a Timid nature maximize Rotom's damage output and allow it to outspeed base 90s. Colbur Berry gives Rotom a chance against Dark-types, specifically Pursuit trappers such as Houndoom and Sneasel. Ghostium Z in conjuction with Hex lets Rotom use a 160-Base Power Never-Ending Nightmare, which it uses to deal heavy damage to walls such as Venusaur. Levitate gives Rotom an immunity to Ground-type attacks, which lets it switch into Earthquake from Pokemon like Steelix and Rhydon. Mago Berry can be used in order to give rotom a form of recovery. Rotom can also utilize Electrium Z to OHKO potential switch-ins such as Sneasel, Emboar, and Zangoose with Gigavolt Havoc.

Usage Tips
========

Be wary of Pursuit users; avoid them by switching out or using Volt Switch or Will-O-Wisp when they switch in. Also, don’t be eager to rack up KOs with Rotom if the opponent has a Pursuit trapper waiting to revenge kill it. take advantage of Rotom's typing to switch into attacks it resists or is immune to from threats such as Steelix, Golbat, and Rhydon. Pivot out of switch-ins with Volt Switch, burn them with Will-O-Wisp and beat them with Hex, or attack them with Thunderbolt if they are frail or weak to it. Use Never-Ending Nightmare against Ground-types, Fire-types such as Emboar, and other common checks to Rotom like Venusaur and Aromatisse.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that can handle Emboar such as Slowbro and Rhydon are really appreciated, as Choice Scarf Emboar can come in on Hex and Will-O-Wisp with ease. Pokemon like Virizion, Whimsicott, and especially Choice Scarf Emboar can beat the Dark-types and Pursuit trappers that Rotom struggles with. In return, Rotom can whittle down the opposing team with Will-O-Wisp and Hex to ease their attempts at cleaning. Pokemon that appreciate Defog support, such as Incineroar, Vanilluxe, and Vivillon, all make great teammates. Klinklang appreciates having Rotom as a partner, because it is able to take on Steelix and Slowbro so Klinklang can sweep more easily. Pokemon such as Sceptile greatly appreciate Rotom's ability to beat Venusaur.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Will-O-Wisp can be used on the Choice Scarf set to cripple switch-ins. A set of Substitute / Pain Split / Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball and a spread of 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe with a Timid nature and Life Orb, Ghostium Z, or Electrium Z can be used to prevent being trapped by Pokemon such as Sneasel. Discharge can be used over Thunderbolt for the increased paralysis chance, but the decrease in power is noticeable. Rotom can run Choice Specs or a Life Orb to maximize its damage output.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-type Pokemon with access to Pursuit such as Sneasel and Houndoom can only switch into Shadow Ball and Hex, but they can Pursuit trap Rotom unless it is Choice locked into an Electric-type STAB attack. Other Dark-types such as Guzzlord completely counter any Rotom set. Incineroar and Scrafty can use Rotom Choice-locked into Shadow Ball as setup fodder. Absol revenge kills Choice-locked Rotom with Sucker Punch. Malamar can wall Rotom.

**Ground-types**: Although most of them don't like switching into Shadow Ball and being crippled by Trick and Will-O-Wisp, Ground-types such as Rhydon, Piloswine, Gastrodon, and Steelix all give Rotom a hard time. Ground-types with access to Pursuit, such as Dugtrio, can trap Rotom if it is locked into an Electric-type move. Ground-types also block Volt Switch completely, nullifying Rotom's ability to generate momentum.

**Electric-resistant Pokemon**: Electric-resistant Pokemon such as Venusaur, Vikavolt, Heliolisk, Druddigon, Drampa, and Alolan Exeggutor can easily switch into Rotom multiple times in a game.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Special walls such as Mega Audino and defensive Cryogonal can shrug off most hits from Rotom and wear it down with attacks, although they dislike being burned and being given a Choice Scarf.

Just an AM check (triggering avocado right now :3) which you don't need to implement if you don't want to! Not as detailed as my PU ones but that's because I'm not as good at NU and it's also an optional AM check.

[OVERVIEW]

* Rotom has a great typing, which grant 3 immunities and 5 resistances, allowing it to switch into plenty of threats and coverage moves and spinblock. Its part Ghost typing also allows it to successfully revenge KO big threats to offense such as a boosted Zangoose. (now this is weird because later on you expressly talk about not switching into even resisted hits, but here you say it's okay to?)
* It has acceptable offensive stats and a good typing offensively, allowing it to be one of the best Choice Scarf users in the tier along with access to its Ghost-type STAB which lets it comfortably revenge kill Mismagius and most Psychic-types while Thunderbolt hits Braviary and Vivillon and gives a solid neutral coverage. It can also act as a more versatile wallbreaker with its Hex set. (i'd expand a little more on the last point. the hex set can cripple physical attackers with will-o-wisp and then hit them with a boosted hex)
* It has access to Volt Switch, and support move such as Trick and Will-O-Wisp making a great pivot. Access to Defog as well as a good match up against most Stealth Rock setters (barring Seismitoad) allows it to clear hazards for teammates in a pinch. (an immunity to both spikes and toxic spikes, thanks to levitate, also makes it a decent offensive defogger)
* Despite its great typing it has lackluster defenses, no reliable recovery, and crippling weakness to Dark-types and Pursuit Trapper, which hurt its viability. (sneasel being such a good mon for example hurts it)

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf

move 2: Thunderbolt

move 4: Defog / Trick

Moves
========

* Volt Switch provides momentum on the switches Rotom often forces. (what switches does it force?)
* Thunderbolt provides a perfectly accurate Electric-type attack that lets Rotom stay in against the opposing Pokemon and deal damage with fairly good damage, unlike Volt Switch.
* Shadow Ball is Rotom's Ghost-type STAB move if the opponent's team can handle Electric-types moves or has an Ghost-type weakness to exploit. (allows it to hit things like steelix, rhydon, etc. also it's most reliable ghost-type move)
* Defog allows Rotom to clear hazards for its teammates. Trick is an amazing utility move for shutting down walls such as Vileplume and Aromatisse, which would otherwise be able to take on Rotom, it also ease the matchup against slow teams. (you'd flip the order of these two to reflect the set. I also feel it's worth noting that aromatisse now has an offensive trick room set with z move, so you don't want to lock yourself into trick versus it) (trick can also cripple stealth rock setters)

Set Details
========

* Maximum Speed and Special Attack EVs along with a Timid nature and Choice Scarf are used to be as fast as possible so Rotom can outspeed Pokemon such as Liligant and Vivillion at +1 while still hitting very hard. (is lilligant actually that noteworthy? i'm pretty sure there's probably better examples like scarf emboar, rotom-c, etc.)
* Levitate is its only ability and gives an useful immunity to Ground-types attacks, making it able to switch into Earthquake from Steelix and Rhydon for example. (also gives an immunity to all entry hazards bar stealth rock)

Usage Tips
========

* Rotom can be switched in after a KO to revenge kill the foe or pivot with Volt Switch to give a safe switch to a teammate and gain momentum. (can also be brought in on a predicted ground-type attack against something like steelix) (i'd also mention it has to be wary of pressing volt switch when the opponent has ground-types or resists like togedemaru, as it loses momentum)
* It shouldn't be switched into strong attacks, even if it resists the foe's move, as it is very frail and can be easily worn down.
* Rotom can also be used as a late-game cleaner once the opponent's team has been weakened.
* It's important to play with Trick the right way; only hand off the Choice Scarf to a passive or very slow Pokemon, and make sure Rotom has done its job first. One exception, though, would be if the benefit of crippling a certain wall, such as Golbat, is greater than that of being able to KO a faster Pokemon later in the game. (trick also has to be played cautiously against z move users, as it'll fail and basically give the opponent a free turn) (locks stealth rock users and often steals a valuable item from them, like leftovers)
* Avoid locking Rotom into Shadow Ball if there are Pursuit users on the opposing team and the switch is really obvious. (sneasel for example)

Team Options
========

* Rotom fits in well on balanced or offensive teams looking for a powerful revenge killer capable of taking out big threats to offense such as +6 Quick Attack Zangoose.
* Since Rotom doesn't have the offensive presence of a setup sweeper, strong wallbreakers such as Meloetta (rip meloetta), Virizion, and Sceptile are highly recommended to pressure and break down the opposing team's defensive core. (i'd expand a little more, for example rotom can pressure the opponents and then pivot out to allow these wallbreakers/sweepers in for free)
* Dark types checks such as Fighting types and Fairy types (like?)
* Hazard setters such as Garbordor, Accelgor, and Seismitoad are all great teammates as Rotom's ability to force switches stacks on a notable amount of hazard chip. (i'd 100% mention that garbordor spike stacking can be counter intuitive if you're running defog)
* Sceptile and Slowbro can pressure Rotom switch-ins while also being able to pressure common archetypes. (you've already mentioned sceptile before, so it's bad practice to mention it twice) (what switchins to they pressure?)

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Hex is Rotom's main STAB move. While its Base Power is lower than that of Shadow Ball, it inflicts double the damage against any Pokemon afflicted with status, with Ghostium Z it gives a good one-time nuke that shares the same base power with Shadow Ball. (I think you mean has the same base power as z shadow ball?)
* Will-O-Wisp is used to cripple switch-ins like Steelix and Vileplum so Rotom can then hit them with a boosted Hex (i'd mention that they're often switchins to the choice scarf set) (will-o-wisp can also cripple physical attackers too)
* Volt Switch can give momentum back to Rotom's team by pivoting out of switching out foes. (it forces things out with wisp)
* Thunderbolt offers a reliable Electric-type STAB move that doesn't force Rotom to not rely on Hex and the foe being crippled by a status ailment. Defog allows Rotom to clear hazards for teammates against the majority of hazard setters but in doing this trades its reliability against Pokemon such as Braviary.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Speed and Special Attack EVs along with a Timid nature makes it able to outspeed 90's base foes and below, while maximizing damage output.
* Ghostium Z is used in conjuction with Hex. (to boost it and give it a one time nuke)
* Spell Tag boosts Hex, making it even stronger. (trades a one time nuke for more consistent damage)
* Levitate is its only ability and gives an useful immunity to Ground-types attacks, making it able to switch into Earthquake from Steelix and Rhydon for example.
* Mago Berry can be used in order to fulfill Rotom's lack of reliable recovery.

Usage Tips
========

* Be wary of Pursuit users, avoid them by using Volt Switch or Will-O-Wisp during the turn they switch-in on or with doubles. (sneasel. to add to this point it should be wary of knocking out an opposing pokemon if the opponent has a fast pursuit user like sneasel that can just come in and easily revenge kill it)
* It shouldn't be switched into strong attacks, even if it resists the foe's move, as it is very frail and can be easily worn down.
* Take advantage of its typing to switch-in into threats suhc as Steelix, Golbat, and Rhydon, or weak resisted attacks and Ground-, Fighting-, and Normal-types attacks. (wait, this is almost directly contradicting what is said above?)
* Either burn switch-ins with Will-O-Wisp to beat them with Hex, pivot out with Volt Switch, or attack them with Thunderbolt if they are not bulky or weak to it. (what switchins, also this seems basically like the first point without the mention of pursuit users, so I'm sure you could probably merge these two points)
* Feel free to spam Hex if Toxic Spikes are set on the other side of the field.
* Use Z-Hex to deal huge damage its checks such as Ground-types, Fire-types, Vileplume, and Aromatisse. (what fire-types and ground-types? like you mention below, emboar is a good example)

Team Options
========

* Pokemon that can handle Emboar such as Slowbro and Rhydon are really appreciated, as Choice Scarf Emboar is a huge threat and comes in a predicted Hex or Will-O-Wisp and take little from those.
* Emboar, especially Choice Scarf variant, can help against Dark-types, as well as being able to pressure common archetypes, the likes of Virizion, Machamp (rip machamp), and Whimsicott can also do it well. (emboar is also a decent sneasel check)
* Toxic Spikes users such as Garbordor can set them for Rotom, allowing it to freely spam Hex throughout the battle.
* Barbaracle (rip barbaracle) appreciates Rotom's ability to easily deal its most common checks: Slowbro and Steelix, and weaken down walls.

you might want to add a bit more to this, as it's quite barebones. you also circulate pokemon here and don't really expand

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Will-O-Wisp can be used on the Choice Scarf set to cripple switch-ins.
* The Hex set can run Colbur Berry to beat Pursuit users such as Sneasel. (I wouldn't say beat but it'd say cripple)
* It can also run Substitute with Leftovers and a more defensive spread. (i'd merge it with the point below, as sub painsplit used to be a niche oras set)
* Pain Split can be used a way to recovery. (expand)
* Discharge can be used over Thunderbolt for the paralysis chance, but it lacks a bit of power. (mention increased paralysis chance, as both have a chance to paralyse)
* Rotom can run the Choice Specs or a Life Orb to maximize its damage output. (but life orb means it isn't able to stay around as long because of the recoil and choice specs is inferior to its other choice item)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric immunities and resists**: Although most of them don't like switching-in on Shadow Ball, being tricked, or being crippled by Will-O-Wisp, Pokemon such as Vileplume, Lanturn, and Steelix can give a hard time to Rotom if they are used with a Dark-type. (move this below dark-types, because you list all these faults with them)

**Dark-types**: They can only switch on Shadow Ball and Hex, but Pokemon such as Sneasel and Houndoom can trap Rotom if it is locked into Shadow Ball or doesn't run a Choice Scarf. (it can still be pursuit trapped if it does run choice scarf? it's also worth mentioning that houndoom can switch in to will-o-wisp and potentially choice scarf too)

**Specially Defensive walls**: Aromatisse, Assault Vest Machamp (rip machamp), and Defensive Cryogonal can shrug off Rotom most hist and worn it down with attacks, although they dislike being burned or having their item tricked with Rotom's Choice Scarf. (I'd 100% mention mega-audino here, as it's able to shrug off most of its attacks)

Overview:
  • Remove Seismitoad mentions.
Moves:
  • Replace Vileplume with Venusaur.
Set Details:
  • I wouldn't say Rotom hits very hard, in fact it's pretty mediocre power wise, I'd just talk about the Timid nature and forget about mentioning the SpA investment, should be pretty obvious to most people anyway.
  • Fix the spacing between the last bullet point and the Usage Tips subheading.
Usage Tips:
  • Give examples of the Pokemon Sceptile and Slowbro can deal with, and remove the part about archetypes.
Checks & Counters:
  • This section needs expanding and more examples.
  • Mention Guzzlord as a complete counter to Rotom, Incineroar as something that can use Rotom locked into Shadow Ball as setup fodder (or that AV can comfortably pivot into it), Absol as something that can revenge it with Sucker Punch, and Malamar as something that can easily sponge hits from Scarf.
  • Remove the Electric immune section and instead create a section for Ground-types and a separate section for Electric Resistant Pokemon.
  • The Electric immune section should include Rhydon, Steelix, Piloswine, Gastrodon, and Dugtrio (which can also Pursuit trap it if it comes in on an Electric-type move).
  • The Electric Resistant Pokemon section can include Vikavolt, Heliolisk, Druddigon, Drampa, and Exeggutor-Alola.
Good, just flesh out the C&C section and it'll be great. QC 1/3.

[Overview]
Make a negative mention of rotom's kind of mediocre offensive presence here. Unless it's hitting with a boosted hex or ghost z hex, it needs to hit supereffectively to do truly significant damage.

[Set]
* Maximum Speed along with a Timid nature and Choice Scarf are used to be as fast as possible so Rotom can outspeed Pokemon such as Liligant and Vivillion at +1.
Lilligant isn't really relevant. You can say Whimsicott, Sceptile, +1 Vivillon, Scarf Emboar, and Scarf Hitmonlee

Oh, and don't forget to mention why you have max special attack too.

[Usage Tips]
Make a mention about being careful with Defog. Obviously locking yourself into Defog on a choiced mon is dangerous, so mention how you should only do it if you can get away with it or if you don't need rotom anymore.

[Team Options]
Since Rotom doesn't have the offensive presence of a setup sweeper, strong wallbreakers such as Virizion, are highly recommended to pressure and break down the opposing team's defensive core.
I wouldn't really call Virizion a "strong wallbreaker." Medicham, Vanilluxe, and Emboar are probably more relevant mentions here.
Sceptile and Slowbro can pressure Rotom switch-ins such as Lanturn and Steelix, respectively.
Lanturn also isn't very relevant. I'd say stuff that pressures steelix and grass types since those are more common switch ins to rotom

[Set]
imo the hex set should be primarily a defogging set and should look like this
[SET]
name: Defog
move 1: Defog
move 2: Hex
move 3: Volt Switch / Thunderbolt
move 4: Will-O-Wisp
item: Colbur Berry / Ghostium Z
ability: Levitate
nature: Timid
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
[Usage Tips]
Make a mention of when to use Defog here since that should be the main purpose of the set

[Team Options]
* Toxic Spikes users such as Garbordor can set them for Rotom, allowing it to freely spam Hex throughout the battle.
I wouldn't run a spiker next to a defogger personally.

* Emboar and Rotom work well together, with the former being able to take out Pursuit Trappers such as Sneasel while Rotom can cripple and chip down the opponent’s team with Will-O-Wisp and Hex.
You already have a mention of emboar in this section.

Try and flesh out team options a little more with stuff that appreciates defog, or stuff that appreciates the specific targets of rotom's wallbreaking (ie steelix, vileplume, slowbro, etc)

[OO]
* Pain Split can be used a way to recover on a more defensive set utilizing Substitute and a more defensive spread.
If you're going to mention this, you need to mention the other moves and ev spread to go along with it

* Discharge can be used over Thunderbolt for the increased paralysis chance, but it lacks a bit of power.
You can mention how the paralysis chance helps on the hex set too

Choice Scarf:
"Avoid locking Rotom into Shadow Ball if there are Pursuit users such as Sneasel on the opposing team and the switch is really obvious."

Just mention that it is occasionally better to use Volt-Switch than to KO a specific mon if you need rotom later (either defog or walling a mon), and the opponent has a pursuit trapper.

Wouldn't use Virizion as an example as a knock off switchin, as the main Knock-offer in the tier is Sneasel, instead use something like Klinklang or Aromatisse as your example.

"Hazard setters such as Garbordor and Accelgor are all great teammates as Rotom's ability to force switches and block rapid spin stacks on a notable amount of hazard chip. "

"However, running Thunderbolt instead of Defog is preferred as Defog on hazard stack is counterproductive."

Change Thunderbolt here to Trick, given slashes on main set.

Defog:
- Mention Electrium-z in the set Details, has a niche by OHKOing Sneasel, Emboar, and Zangoose on switch in.

OOs:
- Mention a Substitute / Pain Split / Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball set with Life Orb, Electrium-z or Ghostium-Z; provides protection from pursuit, and abuses Tspikes really hard, so can work well on specific hazard stacks. Likely an outdated set, but still works.
- Remove the mention of Colbur Berry, as its already on the Hex set.

C&Cs:

"Although most of them don't like switching-in on Shadow Ball, being tricked, or being crippled by Will-O-Wisp, Ground-types such as Rhydon, Piloswine, Gastrodon and Steelix all give Rotom a hard time. Other Ground-types with access to Pursuit, such as Dugtrio, can trap it provided that Rotom is locked into an Electric-type move."

Make a note that grounds block volt switch, rotom's main way of providing momentum to a team.

"Incineroar can use Rotom locked into Shadow Ball as setup fodder. " Incineroar and Scrafty.

"**Specially Defensive walls**: Aromatisse, " Remove this mon, its most relevant set is OTR, which, while able to come in on you, still woudl rather not take 35% of chip unless its ready to win the game.

Hey I know this is in GP, but I used a Colbur+Reflect variant minda recently (S/O Sir Kay) and, while I ended up dumping it ‘cuz it wasn’t a particularly good fit for the team it was on, it was kinda decent for its ability to just kinda turn Sneasel/Doom/Pursuit Duggy etc. into a liability by buffing teammates for a few turns, which served a broader purpose than simply crippling Sneas w/ Wisp does. I think it could maybe get a brief mention at the bottom of OO or smth.

Rotom's typing grants it 3 immunities and 5 resistances, allowing it to spinblock and switch into plenty of threats and coverage moves and spinblock. Rotom's Ghost dual-typing typing also allows it to successfully revenge KO kill big threats to offense such as a boosted Zangoose. It has acceptable offensive stats and a good typing offensively, allowing it to be one of the best Choice Scarf users in the tier along with access to its Ghost-type STAB which lets it comfortably revenge kill Mismagius and most Psychic-types while Thunderbolt hits Braviary and Vivillon and gives a solid neutral coverage. Its offensive typing also gives it solid neutral coverage and lets it offensively pressure Ghost-, Psychic-, and Flying-types like Mismagius, Slowbro, and Braviary. It has access to Volt Switch and support moves such as Trick and Will-O-Wisp. Access to Defog as well as a good match up against most Stealth Rock setters allows it to clear hazards more easily. Volt Switch provides momentum on the switches Rotom often forces against Flying- and Water-types such as Dodrio and Qwilfish. Rotom’s ability to potentially pack Will-O-Wisp can also force switches unless the opponent has scouted for the set. Thunderbolt provides an accurate a strong Electric-type attack that lets Rotom stay in against the opposing Pokemon and deal damage with fairly good damage foe, unlike Volt Switch. Shadow Ball is Rotom's Ghost-type STAB move that can be used if the opponent's team can handle Electric-types Electric-type moves or has a Ghost-type weakness to exploit. It can also hit Pokemon immune to its Rotom's Electric-type attacks such as Rhydon and Steelix. Defog allows Rotom to clear entry hazards for its teammates. Trick is an amazing utility move for shutting down walls such as Venusaur which that would otherwise be able to take on Rotom. Being able to Trick also lets Rotom cripple hazard setters such as Steelix is very useful for Rotom as well.

Maximum Speed along with a Timid nature and Choice Scarf are used to be as fast as possible so Rotom can outspeed Pokemon such as Whimsicott, Sceptile, Scarf Emboar, +1 Vivillon, and Choice Scarf Emboar and Hitmonlee. Levitate is its Rotom's only ability; and gives an useful immunity to Ground-types attacks, allowing it to switch into Earthquake from Steelix and Rhydon. It gives Rotom a useful immunity to Ground-type attacks, which lets it switch into Earthquake from Pokemon like Steelix and Rhydon. It also improves Rotom’s niche to clear hazards as it takes no damage from Spikes and Toxic Spikes. makes Rotom significantly better at clearing entry hazards because it gives Rotom an immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom can be switched in after a KO a teammate has fainted to revenge kill the foe or pivot with Volt Switch to give a safe switch to a teammate and gain momentum. However, take care when using Volt Switch if your opponent is packing a ground type Ground-type, because if they switch it in on a predicted Electric-type attack all momentum is lost. Avoid If you need Rotom later in the game, avoid locking Rotom it into Shadow Ball if there are when Pursuit users such as Sneasel are on the opposing team that can come in after you achieve a KO, but only if you need Rotom later on in the game.

Team Options

Rotom fits in well on balanced or offensive teams looking for a powerful revenge killer capable of taking out big threats to offense such as +6 Quick Attack Zangoose. Since Rotom doesn't have the offensive presence of a setup sweeper, strong wallbreakers such as Medicham, Vanilluxe, and Emboar are highly recommended to pressure and break down the opposing team's defensive core. Dark types checks and Knock Off absorbers such as Fighting types and Fairy types Fighting- and Fairy-types like Hariyama and Mega Audino are great Rotom teammates because they can check Dark-types and switch into Knock Off. Hazard Entry hazard setters such as Garbordor and Accelgor are all great teammates, (AC) as Rotom's ability Rotom can support them immensely with its ability to force switches and block rapid spin stacks on a notable amount of hazard chip spinblock. However, running Trick instead of Defog is preferred as Defog on hazard stack is counterproductive. Pokemon that can pressure Rotom switch-ins like as Steelix and Grass-types, such as Slowbro and Emboar, are great teammates.when pairing Rotom with these Pokemon because running Defog support on hazard stack is counterproductive. Grass-types and Pokemon like Steelix are common switch-ins to Rotom, so Pokemon that can pressure these threats, such as Emboar and Slowbro, are appreciated as partners.

Defog allows Rotom to clear entry hazards for its teammates against the majority of hazard setters. Hex is Rotom's main STAB move. While its Base Power is lower than that of Shadow Ball, it inflicts double the damage has 130 Base Power when used against any Pokemon afflicted with status, (RC) with Ghostium Z it gives a good one-time nuke that shares the same base power as Z Shadow Ball. Thunderbolt offers gives Rotom a reliable Electric-type secondary STAB move that doesn't force Rotom to not rely on Hex and the foe being crippled by a status ailment that isn't reliant on the opponent being statused. However, Volt Switch provides is a great alternative that can pick up a bunch of momentum for your teammates by scaring out physical attackers with the threat of Will-O-Wisp and using Volt Switch as they are forced out give momentum on the switches Rotom forces. Will-O-Wisp is used to cripple switch-ins such as Steelix and Vileplume so Rotom can then hit them with a boosted Hex.

Maximum Speed and Special Attack EVs along with a Timid nature makes it able to outspeed 90's base foes and below, while maximizing damage output maximize Rotom's damage output and allow it to outspeed base 90s. Colbur Berry gives Rotom a chance against Dark-types, specifically Pursuit trappers such as Houndoom and Sneasel. Ghostium Z is used in conjuction with Hex to boost it and nuke lets Rotom use a 160-Base Power Never-Ending Nightmare, which it uses to deal heavy damage to walls such as Venusaur. Colbur Berry gives Rotom a chance against Dark-types, specifically Pursuit trappers such as Houndoom and Sneasel. Levitate is its only ability and gives useful immunity to Ground-types attacks, making it able to switch into Earthquake from Steelix and Rhydon for example gives Rotom an immunity to Ground-type attacks, which lets it switch into Earthquake from Pokemon like Steelix and Rhydon. Mago Berry can be used in order to fulfill Rotom's lack of reliable recovery give rotom a form of recovery. Rotom can also utilize Electrium Z as it can to OHKO potential switch ins switch-ins such as Sneasel, Emboar, and Zangoose with Gigavolt Havoc.

Usage Tips
========

Be wary of Pursuit users,; (RC, ASC) avoid them by switching out or using Volt Switch or Will-O-Wisp during the turn they switch-in on or with doubles when they switch in. Also, (AC) don’t be as eager to rack up KOs with Rotom if they have the opponent has a Pursuit Trapper waiting to revenge kill it. Take advantage of its Rotom's typing to switch-in switch into attacks it resists or is immune to from threats suhc such as Steelix, Golbat, and Rhydon, (RC) or weak resisted attacks and Ground-, Fighting-, and Normal-types attacks. Either burn switch-ins with Will-O-Wisp to beat them with Hex, pivot out with Volt Switch Pivot out of switch-ins with Volt Switch, burn them with Will-O-Wisp and beat them with Hex, or attack them with Thunderbolt if they are not bulky frail or weak to it. Feel free to spam Hex if Toxic Spikes are set on the other side of the field. (Conversed about this on discord, Tspikes shouldn't've been mentioned here) Use Z-Hex Never-Ending Nightmare to deal huge damage its checks such as Ground-types, Fire-types such as Emboar which are immune to Will-O-Wisp, Venusaur, and Aromatisse against Ground-types, Fire-types such as Emboar, and other common checks to Rotom like Venusaur and Aromatisse.

Pokemon that can handle Emboar such as Slowbro and Rhydon are really appreciated, as Choice Scarf Emboar is a huge threat and comes in a predicted Hex or Will-O-Wisp and take little from those can come in on Hex and Will-O-Wisp with ease. Emboar, especially the Choice Scarf variant, can help against Dark-types, as well as being able to pressure common archetypes, the likes of Virizion and Whimsicott can also do it well. Emboar can also take out Pursuit Trappers such as Sneasel while Rotom can cripple and chip down the opponent’s team with Will-O-Wisp and Hex. Pokemon that appreciate Defog support from Rotom, such as Incineroar, Vanilluxe, and Vivillon, all make great teammates. Klinklang appreciates Rotom being able to take on Steelix and Slowbro so it can more easily maneuver a sweep having Rotom as a partner, because it is able to take on Steelix and Slowbro so Klinklang can sweep more easily. Potential teammates Pokemon such as Sceptile greatly appreciate Rotom's ability to beat Venusaur.

Will-O-Wisp can be used on the Choice Scarf set to cripple switch-ins. A set of Substitute / Pain Split / Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball and a spread maximizing Speed and Special Attack of 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe with a Timid nature and Life Orb, Ghostium Z, or Electrium Z can be used to prevent being trapped by Pokemon such as Sneasel. Discharge can be used over Thunderbolt for the increased paralysis chance, but it lacks a bit of power the decrease in power is noticeable. Rotom can run the Choice Specs or a Life Orb to maximize its damage output.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: They Dark-type Pokemon with access to Pursuit such as Sneasel and Houndoom can only switch on into Shadow Ball and Hex, but Pokemon such as Sneasel and Houndoom they can Pursuit trap Rotom unless it is Scarfed and Choice-locked into an Electric-type STAB attack. Other Dark-types such as Guzzlord completely counter any Rotom set. Incineroar and Scrafty can use Rotom Choice-locked into Shadow Ball as setup fodder. Absol revenge KOs kills Choice-locked Rotom locked into any attack with Sucker Punch and. (AP) Malamar can wall it throughout entire games Rotom.

**Ground-types**: Although most of them don't like switching-in on switching into Shadow Ball, (RC) and being tricked, or being crippled by Trick and Will-O-Wisp, Ground-types such as Rhydon, Piloswine, Gastrodon, (AC) and Steelix all give Rotom a hard time. Other Ground-types with access to Pursuit, such as Dugtrio, can trap it provided that Rotom Rotom if it is locked into an Electric-type move. Ground-types also block Volt Switch completely, nullifying Rotom's ability to generate momentum.

**Electric Resistant Electric-resistant Pokemon**: Electric resists Electric-resistant Pokemon such as Venusaur, Vikavolt, Heliolisk, Druddigon, Drampa, and Alolan Exeggutor can easily switch into Rotom multiple times in a game.

**Specially Defensive walls Pokemon**: Special walls such as Mega Audino, (RC) and defensive Cryogonal can shrug off Rotom most hits and worn most hits from Rotom and wear it down with attacks, although they dislike being burned or having their item tricked with Rotom's Choice Scarf and being given a Choice Scarf.

[OVERVIEW]

Rotom's defensive typing grants it three immunities and five resistances, allowing it to spinblock, (AC) and switch into plenty of threats and coverage moves, (comma) Rotom's Ghost typing also allows it to and notably successfully revenge kill big threats to offense such as a boosted Zangoose thanks to its part Ghost typing. Offensively, Its good offensive typing and acceptable offensive stats allow it allows Rotom to be one of the best Choice Scarf users in the tier in tandem with its acceptable offensive stats, (comma) Its offensive typing also gives it as well as giving it solid neutral coverage and lets letting it offensively pressure Ghost-, Psychic-, and Flying-types like Mismagius, Slowbro, and Braviary. (just flow pretty much) Rotom can also act as a more versatile wallbreaker with Hex and Will-O-Wisp.
