PU Oricorio-Pom-Pom

uploaded -zard

[OVERVIEW]

Oricorio-E's good defensive typing and decent bulk allow it to check a plethora of offensive Pokemon such as Primeape, Gurdurr, Oricorio-G, Shiftry, and Hitmonchan as well as to wall Pokemon like Gastrodon, Ferroseed, Pyukumuku, and Togetic due to their passive nature. Oricorio-E's good Speed tier allows it to also check some primary threats such as Skuntank and Throh. Thanks to Oricorio-E's access to Taunt and Toxic, it's a decent stallbreaker that can annoy most defensive Pokemon. However, despite its decent defensive typing and stats, Oricorio-E can still get overwhelmed by Pokemon that it's supposed to check like Choice Band Primeape and Hitmonchan. Its Stealth Rock weakness means it can also get worn down quickly, though Roost mitigates that problem somewhat. Oricorio-E sees a lot of competition from Pokemon like Sableye and Alolan Persian because they both have access to Taunt and can annoy stall teams; the former also has access to Prankster while the latter has access to Parting Shot, providing more overall utility for teams. It also sees indirect competition from Oricorio-G, since only one of the two can be used on a team.

evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Revelation Dance is Oricorio-E's STAB move and hits Water- and Flying-type Pokemon for super effective damage. Toxic is able to wear down passive Pokemon like Palossand, Miltank, and Gastrodon and is also useful for crippling Fighting-types like Primeape and Hitmonchan and Pokemon that are immune to Revelation Dance like Lanturn. Taunt prevents foes such as Palossand and Type: Null from recovering and denies entry hazards from users like Ferroseed and Weezing. Roost gives Oricorio-E reliable recovery, which keeps it healthy and enables it to beat stall teams.

Set Details
========

The HP investment makes Oricorio-E as bulky as possible. Maximum Speed investment allows Oricorio-E to outspeed Lilligant and Skuntank as well as Speed tie with Oricorio-G. Leftovers gives Oricorio-E passive recovery, which makes it harder to wear down in conjunction with Roost. A spread consisting of 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 Spe with a Timid nature allows Oricorio-E to check a lot more physical attackers reliably; it can be used with Rocky Helmet to chip down Fighting-types that this set checks with a lot more ease. Dancer is Oricorio-E's only ability, but it can come in handy against Pokemon that like to use dancing moves such as Lilligant and other Oricorio formes. Rocky Helmet can be used to wear down Pokemon such as Primeape, Kangaskhan, Gurdurr, and Hitmonchan.

Usage Tips
========

Try to get Oricorio-E in on passive Pokemon it has an easy time beating such as Ferroseed. It is also able to beat Lanturn by using Toxic as it switches in and using Taunt to prevent Heal Bell; you should scout to make sure that the Lanturn isn't using Choice Specs, however. Oricorio-E should use Roost often to stay healthy and use Taunt on Pokemon that are known to carry status-inducing moves before using Roost. Try to use Revelation Dance as little as possible, only whenever it's important to wear down the foe with immediate damage rather than passive damage,; some of the Pokemon this applies to are Steel-types, Carracosta, and Oricorio-G. Scout against Pokemon that Oricorio-E is supposed to check but can overwhelm it like Lanturn and Hitmonchan, which can use Choice Specs and heavy Attack investment, respectively.

Team Options
========

Oricorio-E can annoy troublesome Pokemon for Magmortar, Pyroar, and Togedemaru such as Gastrodon and Lanturn and switches into Ground-type moves. However, it does not want to switch in on Gastrodon's and Lanturn's Toxic, so it should be brought in via a double switch. In return, Magmortar, Pyroar, and Togedemaru handle Oricorio-E checks such as Jynx and Abomasnow. Water-types such as Floatzel and Lanturn appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to break down bulky Water-types and wall Grass-types such as Ferroseed and Lanturn; in return, they can pressure Rock-types, which Oricorio-E tends to struggle against. Pokemon like Kangaskhan, Alolan Raticate, and Pyroar appreciate a Fighting-type check in Oricorio-E. Entry hazard stackers such as Ferroseed help Oricorio-E in wearing down the opposing team and thus making it easier to break stall. Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Togedemaru are able to check Ice- and Rock-type Pokemon like Abomasnow, Jynx, Regirock, and Lycanroc for Oricorio-E. Hazard removers such as Hitmonchan and Skuntank help Oricorio-E because it has a hard time switching into Fighting-types when Stealth Rock is on the field.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Oricorio-E can make use of Defog, but it struggles to find a moveslot for it, becomes a lot more passive with it, and has a lot of competition from Rotom-S. A Choice Scarf set consisting of U-turn, Revelation Dance, Hidden Power Grass, and Hurricane can make Oricorio-E a fast pivot, but it has a lot of common answers, gets worn down quickly, and faces competition from Oricorio-G and Togedemaru. An offensive set utilizing Calm Mind and Flyinium Z can be used because Oricorio-E can easily set up on a lot of Pokemon due to its typing, but it too faces a lot of competition from Oricorio-G and other specially offensive setup sweepers alike. Hurricane can be used on the standard set to beat Grass-type Pokemon more easily, but it doesn't have the moveslot to fit this move in. Safety Goggles can be used to check Lilligant reliably.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ice-types**: Ice-types such as Jynx and Abomasnow can OHKO Oricorio-E with their STAB moves, and Jynx can also set up on it with Nasty Plot, but Abomasnow has to be wary of offensive Calm Mind sets that utilize Flyinium Z and Hurricane.

**Rock-types**: Regirock and Aggron take practically nothing from Revelation Dance and can OHKO Oricorio-E with their STAB moves; however, bar Aggron, they have to be wary of Toxic. Golem is immune to Revelation Dance and can easily threaten Oricorio-E with an OHKO.

**Strong Attackers**: Oricorio-E lacks the defensive stats to take on a lot of the stronger offensive Pokemon in the PU metagame like Kangaskhan, Alolan Raticate, Alolan Exeggutor, and Drampa; they're all capable of inflicting a massive amount of damage on Oricorio-E and potentially even OHKOing it. Choice Specs Lanturn is especially notable because Oricorio-E checks other variants, meaning that Lanturn can lure and 2HKO it.

**Togedemaru**: Togedemaru is immune to Toxic and Revelation Dance, can use Toxic on Oricorio-E in return, and pivots out of Oricorio with U-turn, but it does have to be wary of Rocky Helmet chipping it down.

  • Oricorio-E's good defensive typing paired with its decent defensive stats allow it to check a plethora of physical attackers Pokemon in PU such as Primeape, Pinsir, Gurdurr, Shiftry, Lilligant, Lanturn, Floatzel, and Hitmonchan. im pretty sure you are walled by heal bell lanturn?
  • Thanks to Oricorio-E's movepool it's a good Stallbreaker. expand how does its movepool make it a good stallbreaker is what the reader needs to know
  • Because of Oricorio-E's Stealth Rock weakness it can be worn down, however Roost patches this up well.
  • Oricorio-E sees a lot of competition for a teamslot with Oricorio-G because you can only use one of the two. why does it face competition is what needs to be added
  • oricorio-e is very passive

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Revelation Dance is Oricorio-E's main STAB move to hit Pokemon such as Qwilfish, Swanna, Pyukumuku, and Oricorio-G for super effective damage. remove pyukukmuku mention you beat that with taunt and you already mentioned it below
  • Toxic is able to wear down Pokemon like Type: Null, Palossand, Lanturn, and Gastrodon. i dont like the lanturn mention even if specs is a set. heal bell is just too common.
  • Taunt prevents foe's such as Pyukumuku to recover HP as well as prevent entry hazards from users Pokemon like Qwilfish, Ferroseed, and Weezing.
  • Roost gives Oricorio-E reliable recovery which keeps it healthy and enables it to beat bulkier teams better.

Set Details
========

  • 248 HP EVs in conjunction with 184 Defense EVs and a Bold nature make Oricorio-E as bulky as possible while the 76 Speed EVs allow it to speed creep neutral natured base 60s. what neutral natured based 60s?
  • Leftovers gives Oricorio-E passive recovery which makes it harder to wear down in conjunction to roost
  • Dancer is Oricorio-E's only ability, it can come in handy against Pokemon that like to use dancing moves such as Lilligant which Oricorio-E can copy to its advantage.
  • Rocky Helmet can be used to chip down Pokemon such as Primeape, Kangaskhan, Gurdurr, Pinsir, Hitmonchan and Physically Offensive Floatzel's that lack Ice Punch. just remove float imo

Usage Tips
========

  • Try to get Oricorio-E in on Pokemon it has an easy time beating such as Pyukumuku, Lanturn, and Type: Null. no it does not have an easy time beating lanturn, esp heal bell. if its not heal bell then its probably specs which oricorio-e does not have an easy time beating.
  • Because Oricorio-E hits very weak it should try to stay as healthy as possible throughout the match with roost. this doesnt seem like a usage tip tho. maybe say use roost to keep oricorio-e healthy throughout the match?
  • Unless the opponent has a Guts user or a Pokemon immune to Toxic try to always fire off a Toxic expecting a switch to wear down the opposing Pokemon as fast as possible.
  • Try and use Revelation Dance as minimal as possible, only use it whenever it's of good value to wear down the foe directly. can you expand on this with maybe a mon mention

Team Options
========

  • Skuntank can remove Stealth Rock for Oricorio-E from the field while also beating somewhat troublesome Pokemon such as Duosion and Mesprit. duosion has literally never been used
  • Oricorio-E can really annoy troublesome Pokemon for Magmortar such as Palossand and Lanturn, it also provides a Ground-type immunity. In return Magmortar demolishes Pokemon such as Jynx and Abomasnow that check oricorio-e
  • Water-types such as Lanturn, Qwilfish, Floatzel, and Carracosta all massively appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to break down opposing bulky Water-types and wall common Grass-types, in return they beat most Rock-types for Oricorio-E. what bulky grasses/waters list them imo
  • Pokemon like Kangaskhan, Stoutland, Pyroar, Regirock, and Piloswine all appreciate the Fighting-type check that Oricorio-E provides for them to let them properly do their respective tasks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • A Choice Scarf set consisting of U-turn, Revelation Dance, Hidden Power Grass, and Hurricane can make Oricorio-E a fast pivot. list drawbacks (choiced elecs in general are usually bad an in oricorio's case is super weak)
  • An offensive set utilizing Calm Mind can be used but is usually outclassed by Oricorio-G good
  • A defensive Substitute Calm Mind set gives Oricorio-E an easier time setting up due to its good defensive typing.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ice-types**: Ice-types such as Jynx and Abomasnow can both OHKO Oricorio-E with their respective STAB moves, the former can also use it as potential set up bait with moves such as Swords Dance and Nasty Plot

**Rock-types**: Regirock, Golem, Aggron, and Cradily take relatively nothing from Revelation Dance and can all OHKO it with their STAB moves, however they have to be wary of Toxic because it can rack up damage on them. aggron has to worry about toxic? mention pilo > golem because its more relevant

**Togedemaru**: Togedemaru is immune to Toxic and Revelation Dance.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Oricorio-E's good defensive typing paired with its decent defensive stats allow it to check a plethora of Pokemon such as Primeape, Pinsir, Gurdurr, Shiftry, Lilligant, Lanturn, Floatzel, and Hitmonchan. (remove float and lanturn from here, they aren't reliably checked to be honest)
  • Thanks to Oricorio-E's movepool it's a good Stallbreaker, it can annoy Pokémon with Taunt (and toxic) preventing them from recovering HP (and chipping them in the process) as well as Toxic every single member.
  • Because of Oricorio-E's Stealth Rock weakness it can be worn down, however Roost patches this up well. (roost also gives longevity allowing it to successfully stallbreak)
  • Oricorio-E sees a lot of competition for a teamslot with Oricorio-G because Oricorio-G is better offensively; you can only use one of the two. (I disagree, they actually do different things, so id remove this)
  • Oricorio-E is very passive because of its low offensive stats. (decent spa coupled with a base 90 STAB move means it isn't passive, it also has fast taunt+toxic, meaning it isn't really passive)
  • Mention its speed tier, allowing it to outspeed prominent metagame threats like lilligant and skuntank

[SET]
name: Stallbreaker
move 1: Revelation Dance
move 2: Toxic
move 3: Taunt
move 4: Roost
item: Leftovers
ability: Dancer
nature: Timid
evs: 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe (make it max speed, mainly because it's often a team's primary check to lilligant, dibs says sorry; 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe)

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Revelation Dance is Oricorio-E's main STAB move to hit Pokemon such as Qwilfish, Swanna, and Oricorio-G for super effective damage.
  • Toxic is able to wear down Pokemon like Type: Null, Palossand, Lanturn, and Gastrodon. (100% move type: null to taunt and add to pyuku)
  • Taunt prevents foe's such as Pyukumuku to recover HP as well as prevent entry hazards from users like Qwilfish, Ferroseed, and Weezing. (remove qwilfish and potentially mention more stall orientated pokemon, because it is a stallbreaker set)
  • Roost gives Oricorio-E reliable recovery which keeps it healthy and enables it to beat bulkier teams better. (it's what helps it break stall teams)

Set Details
========

  • 248 HP EVs in conjunction with 232 Defense EVs and make Oricorio-E as bulky as possible while the 32 Speed EVs in conjunction with a Timid nature allow it to outspeed Hitmonchan. (change details because we altered the set, basically allows it to check lilligant better)
  • Leftovers gives Oricorio-E passive recovery which makes it harder to wear down in conjunction with Roost.
  • Dancer is Oricorio-E's only ability, it can come in handy against Pokemon that like to use dancing moves such as Lilligant which Oricorio-E can copy to its advantage. (can also be used versus other oricorio's, as its able to deal super effective damage to all other forms)
  • Rocky Helmet can be used to chip down Pokemon such as Primeape, Kangaskhan, Gurdurr, Pinsir, and Hitmonchan. (remove pinsir from this because of stone edge)

Usage Tips
========

  • Try to get Oricorio-E in on Pokemon it has an easy time beating such as Pyukumuku, Primeape, Hitmonchan, Ferroseed, and Type: Null. It can also beat Lanturn by using Toxic as it switches in and then using Taunt to prevent Heal Bell if you have scouted if the Lanturn is or isn't Choice Specs. (remove type: null because max speed struggles a bit with it)
  • Use Roost to keep Oricorio-E healthy at any time in the match. (against stall teams it can easily take advantage of roost after using taunt, for example)
  • Unless the opponent has a Guts user or a Pokemon immune to Toxic try to always fire off a Toxic expecting a switch to wear down the opposing Pokemon as fast as possible. (oricorio is trying to use its combination of both toxic + taunt to cripple as much of the opponents team as possible, and doesn't really care about most guts users as it would rather toxic both gurdurr and ursaring)
  • Try and use Revelation Dance as minimal as possible, only use it whenever it's of good value to wear down the foe directly, these Pokemon include Carracosta, Qwilfish, and Oricorio-G. (use revelation dance only when needed, especially versus steel-types who are immune to toxic)

Team Options
========

  • Skuntank can remove Stealth Rock for Oricorio-E from the field while also beating somewhat troublesome Pokemon such as Mesprit. (mention specifically pursuit trapping, including weakening checks like specs and av lanturn)
  • Oricorio-E can really annoy troublesome Pokemon for Magmortar such as Palossand and Lanturn, it also provides a Ground-type immunity. In return Magmortar demolishes Pokemon such as Jynx and Abomasnow that check Oricorio-E. (magmortar already breaks palossand, so mention gastrodon instead, which it struggles more against) (also don't say demolish, it only checks both)
  • Water-types such as Lanturn, Qwilfish, Floatzel, and Carracosta all massively appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to break down opposing bulky Water-types and wall common Grass-types such as Qwilfish, Ferroseed, Lilligant, and Lanturn; in return they beat most Rock-types for Oricorio-E. (okay this needs to be rephrased; carracosta already beats basically every defensive water-type bar gastrodon. also cut down on your examples, you only need to get the idea across with about 3) (qwilish and ferroseed don't care about having stuff broken for them so remove)
  • Pokemon like Kangaskhan, Stoutland, Pyroar, Regirock, and Piloswine all appreciate the Fighting-type check that Oricorio-E provides for them to let them properly do their respective tasks. (like what?) (also again quite a lot of examples)
  • Hazard stacking greatly helps with oricorio's stallbreaking
  • Some form of hazard control because it doesn't reliably check fighting-types if stealth rocks are up, av hitmonchan is a good example

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • A Choice Scarf set consisting of U-turn, Revelation Dance, Hidden Power Grass, and Hurricane can make Oricorio-E a fast pivot, however it is really weak and gets worn down quickly. (it's not necessarily because it's weak, more-so that it has a lot of very common checks and counters)
  • An offensive set utilizing Calm Mind can be used but is usually outclassed by Oricorio-G (dibs said to change this to defensive calm mind, his word is law) (Fly-z gives you a strong hurricane) (248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe is the spread by the way)
  • A defensive Substitute Calm Mind set gives Oricorio-E an easier time setting up due to its good defensive typing. (you really need dual-stab, so i'd just remove this)
  • Safety Goggles with a 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe and a Timid nature on Oricorio-E can be used to check Lilligant reliably. (reword this as we're basically using this spread, but mention that goggles give it a slightly better match up by being immune to sleep powder)
  • Defensive set with rocky helmet (same spread as defensive cm)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ice-types**: Ice-types such as Jynx and Abomasnow can both OHKO Oricorio-E with their respective STAB moves, the former can also use it as potential set up bait with Nasty Plot. (abomasnow has to be aware of potential calm mind sets carrying hurricane, if it isn't scarf)

**Rock-types**: Regirock, Piloswine, and Cradily take relatively nothing from Revelation Dance and can all OHKO it with their STAB moves, however they have to be wary of Toxic because it can rack up damage on them. (remove cradily because it's primarily doesn't run rock slide, and rock slide doesn't kill it) (remove piloswine because it aint no rock-type)

**Togedemaru**: Togedemaru is immune to Toxic and Revelation Dance. (expand a little on this, e.g. it can pivot out, status it, encore it)

**Offensive Lanturn**: Offensive lanturn sets like av and especially specs pressure oricorio-e

not stamping this yet, lmk when u implemented the check
[OVERVIEW]

  • Oricorio-E's good defensive typing paired with its decent defensive stats allow it to check a plethora of Pokemon such as Primeape, Pinsir, Gurdurr, Shiftry, Lilligant, and Hitmonchan. this is kinda meh at checking some of those, like edge pinsir and rly grass types cuz ur running mono electric move. like this sounds good on paper, but isnt so correct in practice
  • Thanks to Oricorio-E's movepool it's a good Stallbreaker, it can annoy Pokemon with Taunt preventing them from recovering HP as well as Toxic every single member.
  • Oricorio-E's good Speed tier lets it check some primary threats in PU such as Skuntank, Shiftry, and Lilligant. again here
  • Because of Oricorio-E's Stealth Rock weakness it can be worn down, however Roost patches this up well. idk about well, it just does help a bit but rocks weakness still sucks
  • Oricorio-E sees a lot of competition for a teamslot with Oricorio-G because Oricorio-G is better offensively; you can only use one of the two. idk these two things do totally different roles so this feels a bit forces
there are legit downsides and actual mons that compete with oricorio, and i dont see any of it talked about here. the overview needs a serious rehaul, and not because it's old

Moves
========

  • Revelation Dance is Oricorio-E's main STAB move to hit Pokemon such as Qwilfish, Swanna, and Oricorio-G for super effective damage.
  • Toxic is able to wear down Pokemon like Pyukumuku, Palossand, Lanturn, and Gastrodon. such as what? saying such as and then listing random mons isnt useful. this whole analysis ends up listing mons without saying like "fighting types" or "electric immunities" which makes things a ton less clear
  • Taunt prevents foe's such as Pyukumuku and Type: Null to recover HP as well as prevent entry hazards from users like Qwilfish, Ferroseed, and Weezing.
  • Roost gives Oricorio-E reliable recovery which keeps it healthy and enables it to beat stall.

Set Details
========

  • 248 HP EVs in conjunction with 252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature let Oricorio-E outspeed Lilligant and Skuntank so it can check them yeah but it's not just for those things and it checks them without those evs so this is misleading, the rest EVs are thrown into Defense.
  • Leftovers gives Oricorio-E passive recovery which makes it harder to wear down in conjunction with Roost.
  • Dancer is Oricorio-E's only ability, it can come in handy against Pokemon that like to use dancing moves such as Lilligant and other Oricorio forms which Oricorio-E can copy to its advantage.
  • Rocky Helmet can be used to chip down Pokemon such as Primeape, Kangaskhan, Gurdurr, and Hitmonchan.

Usage Tips

  • Try to get Oricorio-E in on Pokemon it has an easy time beating such as Pyukumuku this wants to toxic u though, Primeape, Hitmonchan, and Ferroseed. It can also beat Lanturn by using Toxic as it switches in and then using Taunt to prevent Heal Bell if you have scouted if the Lanturn is or isn't Choice Specs.
  • Use Roost to keep Oricorio-E healthy at any time in the match, against a lot of Stall teams it is safe to Taunt first to prevent Oricorio-E from getting Statused.
  • Unless the opponent has a Pokemon immune to Toxic try to always fire off a Toxic expecting a switch to wear down the opposing Pokemon as fast as possible.
  • Try and use Revelation Dance as minimal as possible, only use it whenever it's of good value to wear down the foe directly, these Pokemon include all Steel-types, Carracosta, Qwilfish, and Oricorio-G.
this is really light on content, hopefully u can beef this up but ill make more detailed comments if needed next check

Team Options
========

  • Skuntank can Pursuit trap Pokemon such as Mesprit and weaken Lanturn for Oricorio-E. but this mon beats lanturn and doesnt like really need mesprit weakened so why tf are u specifying pursuit trapping? I dont get this point at all
  • Oricorio-E can really annoy troublesome Pokemon for Magmortar such as Gastrodon and Lanturn, it also provides a Ground-type immunity. In return Magmortar checks Pokemon such as Jynx and Abomasnow that check Oricorio-E.
  • Water-types such as Floatzel and Lanturn really appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to break down opposing bulky Water-types and wall common Grass-types such as Qwilfish, Lilligant, and Lanturn; in return they can break Rock-types.
  • Pokemon like Kangaskhan and Pyroar appreciate the Fighting-type check that Oricorio-E provides for them against Pokemon such as Hitmonchan and Primeape to let them properly do their respective tasks.
  • Pokemon that can hazard stack such as Ferroseed and Qwilfish help Oricorio-E in wearing down the opposing team and thus making it easier to break stall.
  • Hazard removers such as Hitmonchan, Swanna, and Skuntank help Oricorio-E because it has a hard time to check Fighting-types when Stealth Rock are on the field.
this is also just paint by numbers without much extra added in, I'd like to see a bit more here

  • A Choice Scarf set consisting of U-turn, Revelation Dance, Hidden Power Grass, and Hurricane can make Oricorio-E a fast pivot, however it has a lot of common answers and gets worn down quickly. and faces lots of competition from sensu/togedemaru
  • An defensive set utilizing Calm Mind and Flyinium Z can be used with a 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe and a Timid nature as Oricorio-E can easily set up on a lot of Pokemon due to its typing. why are we talking about this and not offensive CM? The set sounds like total trash, at least offensive CM looks good on paper other than being outclassed by sensu
  • Safety Goggles can be used on Oricorio-E to check Lilligant reliably.
  • A spread consisting of 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe in conjunction with Rocky Helmet can be used to chip down Fighting-types. how does it chip down fighting types better? this is highly unclear
this whole section is poorly explained, also put defog and running a flying move in here

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ice-types**: Ice-types such as Jynx and Abomasnow can both OHKO Oricorio-E with their respective STAB moves, the former can also use it as potential set up bait with Nasty Plot, however Abomasnow has to be wary of offensive Calm Mind sets that utilize Flyinium Z Hurricane.

**Rock-types**: Regirock and Aggron take relatively nothing from Revelation Dance and can all OHKO it with their STAB moves, however they have to be wary of Toxic because it can rack up damage on them. golem should get a special mention here too

**Togedemaru**: Togedemaru is immune to Toxic and Revelation Dance, in return it can Toxic Oricorio-E back and pivot out of it with U-turn. however, scarf is gonna lose to helmet as long as u dont get flinched to death

**Offensive Lanturn**: Offensive Lanturn sets such as Assault Vest and Choice Specs pressure Oricorio-E a lot to stay healthy and basically give it a hard time throwing around Toxic.

id add something for "strong attackers", the absolute best way to beat this is just brute force since it really doesnt have the stats to hold up. put that above togedemaru

you still keep saying "pokemon like sableye and persian", "pokemon like shiftry and gurdurr", without actually explaining what they have in common. i have no idea what role persian and sableye compete with oricorio for because giving more examples has made this less specific

  • Revelation Dance is Oricorio-E's main STAB move to hit Pokemon great example of where u could say Water- and Flying-types instead of Pokemon and make the analysis significantly better detailed such as Qwilfish, Swanna, and Oricorio-G for super effective damage.
  • Toxic is able to wear down passive Pokemon like Pyukumuku and Gastrodon, it's also useful for crippling Fighting-types and Pokemon that are immune to Oricorio-E's Revelation Dance, like Primeape, Hitmonchan, Gastrodon, Pallosand, and Lanturn.
  • Taunt prevents foe's such as Pyukumuku i really dont know why pyuku keeps being used as an example, it's nigh unviable and really uncommon and Type: Null to recover HP as well as prevent entry hazards from users like Qwilfish, Ferroseed, and Weezing.
  • Roost gives Oricorio-E reliable recovery which keeps it healthy and enables it to beat stall.

Set Details
========

  • Maximum HP investment make Oricorio-E as bulky as possible, while leaving it with an uneven amount of HP, granting it an extra switch in on Stealth Rock.
  • Maximum Speed investment allows Oricorio-E to outspeed Lilligant and Skuntank while also allowing it to speed-tie with Oricorio-G.

Usage Tips
========

  • Try to get Oricorio-E in on Pokemon it has an easy time beating such as Togetic, Primeape, Hitmonchan, and Ferroseed i dont really know what these mons have in common, so i cant apply this advice to anything other than those mons. plus you already said earlier that oricorio struggles with certain ape and chan sets, so this gets weirder. It also allows Oricorio-E to beat Lanturn by using Toxic as it switches in and using Taunt to prevent Heal Bell from Lanturn if you have scouted if Lanturn is or isn't carrying Choice Specs.
  • Use Roost to keep Oricorio-E healthy at any time in the match, against a lot of Stall teams it is safe to Taunt first to prevent Oricorio-E from getting affected by a status ailment.
  • Unless the opponent has a Pokemon immune to Toxic p much all teams have some poison/steel/something, maybe be more specific with one that's likely to switch in because there's a big difference between switching in qwilfish and togedemaru try to always fire off a Toxic expecting a switch to wear down the opposing Pokemon as fast as possible.
  • Try to use Revelation Dance as minimal as possible, only use it whenever it's of good value to wear down the foe directly all moves are only good for wearing down foes, i get what u want to say but u haven't managed to say it, these Pokemon include all Steel-types, Carracosta, Qwilfish, and Oricorio-G.
  • Scout against Pokemon that Oricorio-E is to check like Primeape, Lanturn, and Hitmonchan to see if they are equipped with a Choice Band, Choice Specs, or heavy Attack invest,emt all chans run heavy attack, most max. again, get what ur trying to say with looking out for certain more rare, more offensive sets that would be problematic but u haven't managed to say it. also CB primeape is rare and not rly good, especially now that we have CB passimian, so mentioning it again is weird respectively, since if they are, they can easily overwhelm Oricorio-E.

Team Options
========

  • Oricorio-E can really annoy troublesome Pokemon for Magmortar such as Gastrodon and Lanturn, it also provides a Ground-type immunity. In return Magmortar checks Pokemon such as Jynx and Abomasnow that check Oricorio-E.
  • Water-types such as Floatzel and Lanturn really appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to break down opposing bulky Water-types and wall common Grass-types such as Qwilfish, Ferroseed, and Lanturn; in return they can pressure Rock-types which Oricorio-E tends to struggle against.
  • Pokemon like Kangaskhan and Pyroar appreciate the Fighting-type check that Oricorio-E is able to offer for them Pokemon such as Hitmonchan and Primeape to let them properly do their respective tasks.
  • Oricorio-E offers a nice check to Fighting-type Pokemon like Primeape and Hitmonchan for Pokemon such as Kangaskhan, Pyroar, and Alolan Raticate.
  • Pokemon that can hazard stack such as Ferroseed and Qwilfish help Oricorio-E in wearing down the opposing team and thus making it easier to break stall.
  • Pokemon such as Ferroseed, Pyroar, Magmortar, and Togedemaru are able to check Ice- and Rock-type Pokemon like Abomasnow, Jynx, Regirock, and Lycanroc for Oricorio-E respectively, which it massively appreciates. u just slapped ice and rock checks together in a weird way, u could fold ice checks into the mag point up above and just do rock checks here or something but the way this is structured makes it seem like magmortar is a lycanroc check or somth
  • Hazard removers such as Hitmonchan, Swanna, and Skuntank help Oricorio-E because it has a hard time to check *switch into. check it still does Fighting-types when Stealth Rock are on the field.

Other Options
=============

  • A Choice Scarf set consisting of U-turn, Revelation Dance, Hidden Power Grass, and Hurricane can make Oricorio-E a fast pivot, however it has a lot of common answers, gets worn down quickly, and faces competition from Oricorio-G and Togedemaru.
  • An offensive set utilizing Calm Mind and Flyinium Z can be used as Oricorio-E can easily set up on a lot of Pokemon due to its typing, unfortunately it faces a lot of competition from Oricorio-G and other specially offensive set up sweepers alike.
  • Hurricane can be used on Oricorio-E to beat Grass-type Pokemon more easily, however it doesn't have the moveslot to fit this move in.
  • Oricorio-E can make use of Defog, however it struggles to find a moveslot for it and makes it a lot more passive.
  • Safety Goggles can be used on Oricorio-E to check Lilligant reliably.
  • A spread consisting of 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe what nature allows Oricorio-E to check a lot more physical attackers reliably, this set can be used with Rocky Helmet to chip down Fighting-types that this set checks with a lot more ease.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock-types**: Regirock and Aggron take relatively nothing from Revelation Dance and can all OHKO it with their STAB moves, however, they have to be wary of Toxic because it can rack up damage on them. Golem is capable of taking it doesnt even take it, it's immune to it Revelation Dance and can easily threaten Oricorio-E with an OHKO.

**Strong Attackers**: Oricorio-E lacks the defensive stats to take on a lot of the stronger offensive Pokemon in the PU metagame like Kangaskhan, Alolan Raticate, Alolan Exeggutor, and Drampa since they're all capable of inflicting a massive amount of damage to Oricorio-E and potentially even OHKOing it.

**Togedemaru**: Togedemaru is immune to Toxic and Revelation Dance, in return it can Toxic Oricorio-E back and pivot out of it with U-turn, but it does have to be wary Rocky Helmet as this will chip it down quite a lot.

**Offensive Lanturn**: Offensive Lanturn sets such as Assault Vest and Choice Specs pressure Oricorio-E a lot to stay healthy and basically give it a hard time throwing around Toxic.

[OVERVIEW]

Oricorio-E's good defensive typing paired with its decent defensive stats allow it to check a plethora of offensive Pokemon such as Primeape, Gurdurr, Oricorio-G, Shiftry, and Hitmonchan thanks to its resistance to their STAB attacks. It's also capable of walling Pokemon like Gastrodon, Ferroseed, Pyukumuku, and Togetic due to their passive nature. Oricorio-E's good Speed tier also allows it to check some primary threats in PU such as Skuntank and Hitmonchan. Thanks to Oricorio-E's movepool it's a decent Stallbreaker, it can annoy Pokemon with Taunt preventing them from recovering HP as well as Toxic most Pokemon that are used on Stall teams. Because of Oricorio-E's Stealth Rock weakness it can be worn down, however Roost patches this up decently. Despite Oriocrio-E's good defensive typing and stats (those aren't much more than just decent so i would reword it since the point stands) it can still get overwhelmed by Pokemon that it's supposed to check like Choice Band Primeape and Hitmonchan. Oricorio-E sees a lot of competition from Pokemon like Sableye and Alolan Persian since they both have access to Taunt and can annoy Stall teams, the former also has access to Prankster while the latter has access to Parting Shot, over all providing more for their team. It also indirectly sees competition from Oricorio-G since only one of the two can be used on the same team.

Moves
========

Revelation Dance is Oricorio-E's main STAB move to hit Water- and Flying-type Pokemon for super effective damage. Toxic is able to wear down passive Pokemon like Pyukumuku (way less relevant than gastrodon, i would replace it with palossand and miltank) and Gastrodon, it's also useful for crippling Fighting-types and Pokemon that are immune to Oricorio-E's Revelation Dance, like Primeape, Hitmonchan, Gastrodon, Pallosand, and Lanturn (this section in general could use some work, i would merge the points and state it hits stuff you are supposed to check and revelation dance immunities). Taunt prevents foe's such as Palossand and Type: Null to recover HP as well as prevent entry hazards from users like Qwilfish (replace/removd), Ferroseed, and Weezing. Roost gives Oricorio-E reliable recovery which keeps it healthy and enables it to beat stall.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP investment makes Oricorio-E as bulky as possible, while leaving it with an uneven amount of HP, granting it an extra switch in on Stealth Rock. Maximum Speed investment allows Oricorio-E to outspeed Lilligant and Skuntank while also allowing it to speed-tie with Oricorio-G. Usage Tips
========

Try to get Oricorio-E in on passive Pokemon it has an easy time beating such as Togetic(irrelevant, remove/replace), Qwilfish (remove), and Ferroseed. It is also able to beat Lanturn by using Toxic as it switches in and using Taunt to prevent Heal Bell from Lanturn if you have scouted if Lanturn is or isn't carrying Choice Specs. Use Roost to keep Oricorio-E healthy at any time in the match, against a lot of Stall teams it is safe to Taunt first to prevent Oricorio-E from getting affected by a status ailment. Be wary of using Toxic if the opponent has a Pokemon immune to Toxic like Weezing or Togedemaru, if they don't or have one that is unlikely to switch in it's generally better to just throw off a Toxic.(obvious to be honest, most of this part should be just replaced with advice to roost often and taunt stuff that carries status) Try to use Revelation Dance as minimal as possible, only use it whenever it's of good value to wear down the foe for immediate damage rather then via passive damage, some of these Pokemon include, but are not limited to, all Steel-types, Carracosta, Qwilfish, and Oricorio-G. Scout against Pokemon that Oricorio-E is supposed to check but that can overwhelm it like Lanturn and Hitmonchan to see if they are equipped with a Choice Specs, in Lanturn's case or very heavily Attack invested in Hitmonchan's case, since if they are, they can easily overwhelm Oricorio-E. (lots of fluff, i would remove the obvious things)

Team Options
========

Oricorio-E can really annoy troublesome Pokemon for Magmortar, Pyroar, and Togedemaru such as Gastrodon and Lanturn(not very true since they can take advantage of you on the switch via toxic and volt switch so you kind of need to double or predict), it also provides a Ground-type immunity. In return Magmortar, Pyroar, and Togedemaru are capable of checking Pokemon such as Jynx and Abomasnow that check Oricorio-E. Water-types such as Floatzel and Lanturn really appreciate Oricorio-E's ability to break down opposing bulky Water-types and wall common Grass-types such as Qwilfish, Ferroseed, and Lanturn; in return they can pressure Rock-types which Oricorio-E tends to struggle against. Pokemon like Kangaskhan and Pyroar appreciate the Fighting-type check that Oricorio-E is able to offer for them Pokemon such as Hitmonchan and Primeape to let them properly do their respective tasks. Oricorio-E offers a nice check to Fighting-type Pokemon like Primeape and Hitmonchan for Pokemon such as Kangaskhan, Pyroar, and Alolan Raticate. (a bit of repetition here) Pokemon that can hazard stack such as Ferroseed and Qwilfish help Oricorio-E in wearing down the opposing team and thus making it easier to break stall. Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Togedemaru are able to check both Ice- and Rock-type Pokemon like Abomasnow, Jynx, Regirock, and Lycanroc for Oricorio-E respectively, which it massively appreciates. Hazard removers such as Hitmonchan, Swanna (kind of overlapping, not a great choice imo), and Skuntank help Oricorio-E because it has a hard time to switch into Fighting-types when Stealth Rock are on the field.

Safety Goggles can be used on Oricorio-E to check Lilligant reliably. A spread consisting of 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe with a Timid nature allows Oricorio-E to check a lot more physical attackers reliably, this set can be used with Rocky Helmet to chip down Fighting-types that this set checks with a lot more ease. **Rock-types**: Regirock and Aggron take practically nothing from Revelation Dance and can OHKO Oricorio-Ewith their STAB moves; however, bar Aggron, they have to be wary of Toxic because it can rack up damage on them.

Choice Specs Lanturn is especially notable because Oricorio-E Oricorio-E checks other variants, meaning that Lanturn can lure and 2HKO it.

**Togedemaru**: Togedemaru is immune to Toxic and Revelation Dance, can use Toxic on Oricorio-E in return, and pivots out of Oricorio with U-turn, but it does have to be wary of Rocky Helmet chipping it down.

OVERVIEW]

Oricorio-E's good defensive typing and decent bulk allow it to check a plethora of offensive Pokemon such as Primeape, Gurdurr, Oricorio-G, Shiftry, and Hitmonchan (RP) It's also capable of walling as well as to wall Pokemon like Gastrodon, Ferroseed, Pyukumuku, and Togetic due to their passive nature. Oricorio-E's good Speed tier allows it to also check some primary threats such as Skuntank and Throh. Thanks to Oricorio-E's movepool including access to Taunt and Toxic, it's a decent stallbreaker that can annoy most defensive Pokemon. However, despite Oriocrio-E's its decent defensive typing and stats, it Oricorio-E can still get overwhelmed by Pokemon that it's supposed to check like Choice Band Primeape and Hitmonchan.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Revelation Dance is Oricorio-E's STAB move and hits Water- and Flying-type Pokemon for super effective damage. Toxic is able to wear down passive Pokemon like Palossand, Miltank, and Gastrodon and is also useful for crippling Fighting-types like Primeape and Hitmonchan (readability because I just spent 10 minutes looking up if Primeape / Hitmonchan were immune to it) and Pokemon that are immune to Revelation Dance (RC) like Primeape, Hitmonchan, and Lanturn. Taunt prevents foes such as Palossand and Type: Null from recovering and denies(space)entry hazards from users like Ferroseed and Weezing. Roost gives Oricorio-E reliable recovery, which keeps it healthy and enables it to beat stall teams.

Set Details
========

The HP investment makes Oricorio-E as bulky as possible while leaving it with an uneven amount of HP, granting it an extra switch in on Stealth Rock. (can just do max, 354 is not divisible by 4) Maximum Speed investment allows Oricorio-E to outspeed Lilligant and Skuntank as well as Speed tie with Oricorio-G. Leftovers gives Oricorio-E passive recovery, which makes it harder to wear down in conjunction with Roost. A spread consisting of 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe (max prob here too) with a Timid nature allows Oricorio-E to check a lot more physical attackers reliably; it can be used with Rocky Helmet to chip down Fighting-types that this set checks with a lot more ease.

Usage Tips
========

Try to use Revelation Dance as little as possible, only whenever it's important to wear down the foe with immediate damage rather than passive damage,; some of the Pokemon this applies to are all Steel-types, Carracosta, and Oricorio-G. Scout against Pokemon that Oricorio-E is supposed to check but can overwhelm it like Lanturn and Hitmonchan, which can use Choice Specs and heavy Attack investment, respectively.

Team Options
========

In return, (comma) (keep comma, remove comment) Magmortar, Pyroar, and Togedemaru handle Oricorio-E checks such as Jynx and Abomasnow.

Other Options
=============

===================

**Rock-types**: Regirock and Aggron take practically nothing from Revelation Dance and can OHKO Oricorio-E(space)with their STAB moves; however, bar Aggron, they have to be wary of Toxic because it can rack up damage on them.

**Togedemaru**: Togedemaru is immune to Toxic and Revelation Dance, can use Toxic on Oricorio-E in return, and pivots out of Oricorio with U-turn, but it does have to be wary of Rocky Helmet chipping it down.
