The theme was each team would be assigned a King. The King is level 100 while all other Pokemon are level 90. If the King died, the team loses. Team 1 was assigned Dodrio while the other team was assigned Fearow.

Fearful Fearows were the victor utilizing Chicken Pass into Barbaracle. Both of the Kings just sat on their ass and let their team do all the work. Typical.

We had another teambat! This one was quite a blast. The theme was Terrorist Cup - every Pokemon must have either the move Selfdestruct or Explosion. In addition, the only item that could be held is Normal Gem. This teambat was also a best of three, where each team was allowed 4 minutes to change a single Pokemon between each game.

However, one team had an issue finishing their team in the allotted time limit in the 1st game. Because of this, the Vivacious Vanilluxe had to use Explosion in the first five turns or be disqualified. The Vanilluxe were unable to overcome this deficit for the 1st game.

Props:
  • Camerupt for threatening to KO everything
  • Vanilluxe for also being a huge threat and winning the game
  • Shiftry for forcing the Catastrophic Camerupts to replace Haunter for Skuntank
  • 10 Explosions being used throughout the 3 games!!!
  • Gourgeist for being an Explosion tank

Slops:
  • Lickilicky for most overrated: both teams terrified of it when it just ended up being death fodder for Vanilluxe / Camerupt.
  • Trick Room Camerupt not having 0 Speed EVs, but it not mattering in the match anyways.
  • Silver Aurum using Dark Pulse instead of Fire Blast vs Vanilluxe
  • 5 of the 10 Explosions hit Gourgeist...

In the end, the
Vivacious Vanilluxe
were able to overcome the 1 game deficit and win the 2-1!!! Good job guys!!


Not sure I'm going to do a bo3 teambat again, because it takes too long and some people left before it was over, but it was fun. Watch out for Vanilluxe and Camerupt NU ladder!!

Theme: Metronome wars. All Pokemon used can only use Metronome and can only hold Leppa Berry. Each team gets one mascot that doesn't know Metronome naturally (Liepard and Murkrow respectively), but all other Pokemon on the team must learn it naturally.
