Summary of thread:
Ever faced a powerful team that sent you looking for a brick wall to bang your head against or spent the day laughing because you used such a team to stomp the meta? Such teams can define metas yet everyone knows those moments don't last forever and sooner or later the teams flaws will be exposed for the world to see and a group of Pokemon will emerge to break it. The purpose of this thread is to find said weaknesses and create cores that can break the teams of infamy because deep down Everyone knows no team is truly invincible.

This project aims to look at see how certain mons that work together to exploit said weakness, in other words a core that can break/destroy a team (Example Tauros + Specs Mesprit does amazingly well versus Stall/ fat balance). This can help fine tune teams in order to prevent them from getting destroyed by a simple core. Anyway without further ado, here are the rules.

Rules:
1. Each week I will pick a team and during the submission period, everyone can talk about what cores they think breaks a team and submit a core that they think is the most threatening to that team. In other words, what core they think destroys the selected team and why?

2. Cores must have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 Pokemon provided with full sets. Each core must be submitted with at least two lines of description, stating with the given core breaks the prescribed team. You can also talk about the weaknesses of the team being broken if you wish. In addition, all Pokemon nominated must be at least C- on the viability rankings unless they have an extremely well known niche (e.g. Magnet Pull Probopass). Anyone who posts crap like AV Swalot or DD Tropius will have their posts deleted.

3. After the submission period has passed (4-5 days), everyone will vote on the core that they believe is the most threatening to the team. Each person will be allowed 1 vote. You can also use the voting period to submit ideas on a team you would like to see broken next

4. The winner of each round will be placed in the Hall of Fame with their core :P

5. Please post cores no later than 24 hours after reserving them.

6. Good luck, have fun, and most importantly NO STUPID ONE LINERS n_n

Our first lucky victim team to start off the thread is a potent team made by PrinceLucian that is based around Specs Beheeyem. The team itself has managed to peak the ladder with a fairly respectable record so breaking this squad won’t be an easy feat!

Description
Using this team is pretty simple, Beheeyem is here for punching holes in opponents team, everytime it gets in battle something on opponents side will always drop if prediction is right, its there to weaken opposing stuff that will later help Sawk clean the game. Steelix/Pelipper is a defensive core along with Audino to help team deal with most threats in metagame and Audino supports the team with Wish pass which is important vs defensive teams, while Magmortar is there to check stuff that threatens the core and help Sawk sweep as well. Beheeyem won't do much vs offense just because of its low speed, but its an excellent Pokemon vs balance/defensive teams because it will put much more work vs slower threats, so play carefully and not reckless with it. On the other hand Scarf Sawk is excellent vs offense but not vs balanced teams early game, so those 2 balance each other in many battles.

Sawk @ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Zen Headbutt

Jumpluff
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Memento

Gorebyss @ White Herb
Ability: Swift Swim

- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]

So your team is extremely slow which opens itself up to wall breakers such as things like Samurott and in this case Sawk. Having the freedom to choose the set I ended up picking out LO Mold Breaker over the regular CB which would have also worked as it beats down your team a lot harder. It's able to 2HKO Mega Audino with your spread was well as kill Pelipper after a with Stone Edge after CC damage. The rest of your team is either OHKO past Sturdy or 2HKO while being out sped. Next up your team looks super weak to set up sweepers such as Gorebyss, but even things like Barbaracle and SD Sceptile work. So to punish this I decided to run Memento Jumpluff and Gorebyss. These two in particular give you problems as your main switch in to jumpluff is Steelix which is then set up fodder for Gorebyss if I u-turn on your switch in. If Sawk ever loses Sturdy and Gorebyss sets up on either Audino, Pelipper, or Steelix, you've basically lost the game as you don't have anything to out speed +2 gorebyss, and the things that can live the Hydro Pump/ HP Electric fail to kill it such as Mega Audino.

Steelix @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- Iron Tail / Iron Head
- Thunder Fang

Hariyama @ Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Knock Off

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Def / 56 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Flamethrower
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

So this core is build around to let Rock Polish offensive Steelix sweep, Steelix has a nice match up on every mon on this team besides Sawk, after a Rock Polish it's able outspeed everything beside Scarf Sawk. Steelix as well is able to hit 4 mons super effective and do huge damage to them. Hariyama is there for being a check to Magmortar if Steelix haven't set up yet. Also Hariyama helps breaking sawks sturdy which can matter in the long run for this core. Weezing checks another 3 mons on this team (Audino, Sawk and Steelix). Since Sawk is sort of a problem to Hariyama and Steelix Weezing covers the fighting weakness the core has. If this core is played normal it would win vs this team.

Kangaskhan (F) @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Sucker Punch
- Earthquake
- Double-Edge

Tauros (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Rock Climb
- Fire Blast
- Zen Headbutt
- Work Up

Rotom @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hex
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split

This core is pretty annoying for this team, while the only normale resist can't do a lot of damages to Rotom, he can easily wow/hex to makes free our normal spam core. Also, Rotom helps the core to deal with the only physically defensive mon (Pelipper). Work up tauros can set up pretty easily against Audino and then do some amazing damages to the team. While Kangaskhan deal with Sawk with his two priority, and Rotom's ghost type.

Archeops @ Focus Sash
Ability: Defeatist
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Head Smash
- Endeavor

Honestly it's teams like these that highlight the importance of having priority / raw Speed as opposed to relying on a lone Scarfer to pick off faster threats. Jynx can pretty much tear through the entire team if it manages to set up with its Sash intact, which certainly seems feasible when it can safely sleep 4 members, and even set up right in front of Pelipper and MAudino. Garbodor provides insurance against Sawk should things not go completely Jynx's way, and provides Spikes to snag the OHKOes on Steelix and Beheeyem with +2 Ice Beam. Honestly Archeops is just filler at this point, but it's there to drive my point home on just how exploitable this team is as it doesn't have any effective counterlead against it either, unless they want to sac their only hope(s) against Jynx.

Samurott @ Life Orb
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature

Hariyama @ Assault Vest

EVs: 252 Atk/ 232 SpDef/ 24 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Fake Out
- Bullet Punch

"Doesn't Samurott just win?" the team. Alright, but seriously, Samurott has such a good match up here. Throw on HP Electric and Taunt, and things are looking pretty anytime you load up against this team. Rotom is here for guaranteed momentum to get Samurott in safely, as the team's only Volt Switch stop is Steelix, which can't take on Rotom. Hariyama is here as a sure-fire answer to Magmortar, so that I don't have to run Timid on Samurott to accomodate for Magmortar's speed creep. Apart from supporting Samurott, the other mons in this core have a pretty nice match up against the given team too. Especially Rotom. Still a really good team by Lucian, though.

Magmortar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 104 HP / 252 SpA / 152 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Combusken @ Eviolite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Low Kick
- Protect

With the team relying on Pelipper and Mag as fire resists, this fire spam core can easily break through and sweep. Mag can take care of Pelipper with thunderbolt and open the way for Combusken, while Combusken can lure in and heavily dent the opposing Magmortar with Low Kick. Once either have been taken out, the fire types should have no problem running through the rest of the team.

252 Atk Combusken Low Kick (80 BP) vs. 104 HP / 0 Def Magmortar: 136-162 (42.9 - 51.1%) -- 3.1% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Combusken Low Kick (80 BP) vs. 104 HP / 0 Def Magmortar: 136-162 (42.9 - 51.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
