- This sucks a ton
- "Decent" statwise, mono-Poison is not a terrible typing but not that great either
- Movepool is actually horrible- it gets Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, and Toxic Spikes, but nothing really aside from that
- Lacks a good niche in Little Cup

[SET COMMENTS]
- This set sucks, but it's the best Nidoran can do
- Toxic Spikes is pretty badly distributed in Little Cup, Nidoran is a decent user of it
- Sludge Bomb is a decent STAB attack
- Thunderbolt hits Water- and Flying-types
- Ice Beam is a good move apparently
- Toxic lets Nidoran actually do damage to things! Although not really
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
- EVs give Nidoran at least okay Special Attack and pretty good bulk too
- Poison Point > Rivalry because Nidoran is female…
- Bulky things like SubRoost Gligar like Toxic Spikes so they can stall out things
- Gligar also is immune to those Ground-type moves that Nidoran hates
- Snover's hail stacks with Toxic Spikes for massive residual damage, also kills Ground-types (Nidoran gets Blizzard too)
- Croagunk/Choice Scarfers to kill the inevitable setup sweepers
[Other Options]
- A physical set with Poison Jab and Crunch could work as Nidoran's Attack stat is higher but it actually has no other moves
- Charm so physical sweepers can't set up on you
- Rest + Sleep Talk for recovery
- It actually has no other good moves
[Checks and Counters]
- Ground-types will destroy Nidoran with Earthquake- just watch out for Ice Beam
- Croagunk and other Poison-types clean up those Toxic Spikes; Staryu can spin them too
- Anything not hit super effectively can tank Nidoran's hits all day- Toxic is the only threat
- Steel-types walk all over Nidoran too
