Mega Mantine
Type
: Water/Flying
Stats-
HP: 85
Atk: 40
Def: 70 -> 110 (+40)
SpAtk: 80 -> 120 (+40)
SpDef: 140 -> 160 (+20)
Speed: 70
Ability: Comatose
Move Additions: Hurricane, Worry Seed
Description: Mantine here just wants to chill. It's always floating, constantly flapping it's flippers for a terribly long time, with or without a Remoraid companion, Sometimes, Mantine needs a break. While just taking a nap is an easy solution, Mega Mantine may be an even better solution. Upon Mega Evolution, Mantine embraces the relaxation of sleep while still making progress whilst continually flapping, giving it the ability Comatose, which prevents Mantine from being statused, which is helpful against other walls. In this Comatose state, Mantine adds to it's bulk, greatly boosting it's Defense and receiving a nice boost to Special Defense. But don't let it's slumber fool you, as a big boost to Special Attack and a new toy in STAB Hurricane will show you just how capable this sleepy sea creature really is. It also gains Worry Seed as that dooms the opponent to never have the same enjoyment of sleep as Mantine, plus Mantine already learns Bullet Seed and Seed Bomb, so it made sense.

Description: Scientists are back at it again. They created an upgrade in Porygon2, a virus in Porygon-Z, and now a quick fix to said virus in Mega Porygon-Z! This update to the crazed cyberduck brings a big boost to PZ's already high Speical Attack stat, as well as smaller boost to it's bulk and speed. The (WIP)

There's been some talk about Megas for All's ownership shifting. Nothing has been decided yet, and I'm not in a hurry to make the transition. I'll keep you posted, but you can expect something to happen within the next week.

Congratulations to Heavyweapons Mann for his Volcarona winning the tiebreaker and for him joining the MFA council! In addition, I have now taken over MFA, but we'll stay on this thread as TI has made me thread owner.

Descended Slate
Just the opposite of last slate, we have 3 pokemon who have taken a hard hit with the turn of the generation, falling a minimum of three ranks on the VR (Talonflame fell 6!). Crawdaunt and Talonflame will have an ability cap of 4.5 while Weavile will be at 3.5.

Crawdaunt

Water/DarkWater/Dark

HP: 63 → 63 (0)

Atk: 120 → 150 (+30)

Def: 85 → 105 (+20)

SpA: 90 → 100 (+10)

SpD: 55 → 75 (+20)

Spe: 55 → 75 (+20)

Hyper Cutter/Shell Armor/AdaptabilityAdaptability

  • 150 base attack with access to both Swords Dance and Dragon Dance combined with Adaptability makes Crawdaunt an extremely threatening wallbreaker

  • Decent physical bulk allows Crawdaunt to sponge some weaker attacks.

  • Still quite slow without a boost and Crawdaunt's poor special bulk makes it very susceptible to being revenge killed.
Weavile

Dark/IceDark/Ice

HP: 70 → 70 (0)

Atk: 120 → 160 (+40)

Def: 65 → 70 (+5)

SpA: 45 → 45 (0)

SpD: 85 → 90 (+5)

Spe: 125 → 175 (+50)

Pressure/PickpocketTough Claws

  • Amazing attack stat. Also has incredible speed that allows Weavile to more comfortably run an adamant nature (with 175 speed, it outspeeds every unboosted Pokemon in the game except the Ubers locked Deoxys-S and the otherwise terrible Ninjask).

  • RIP my Tough Claws Weavile dream. :( Technician is still decent though and allows Weavile a new (needed) moveslot since it can replace Icicle Crash with Ice Shard as its main Ice STAB

  • Even with its high attack and otherwise solid offensive STAB combination, there are still certain Pokemon who it struggles against. Mega Scizor resists Ice Shard, takes reduced damage from Knock Off and doesn't take a whole lot from an unboosted Low Kick either. Magearna resists Weavile's STAB combination and doesn't take a lot from Low Kick either.

  • Weavile's bulk is pretty poor still which means it will usually die if it fails to KO an opponent

Mega Talonflame
Ability:
Speed Boost
Typing: Flying/Fire
HP: 78
Attack: 116 (+35)
Defence: 74 (+3)
Special Attack: 109 (+35)
Special Defence: 74 (+5)
Speed: 148 (+22)
Total: 599
New Moves: Air Slash, Superpower
Description: Mega Talonflame takes to the skies, leaving its opponents in the dust! Flying at over 310mph in its normal form, Mega Talonflame now has adapted its wings to become even faster, chase down its prey and hit the very edge of space! Now, with the Speed Boost ability, as Talonflame flies it constantly builds up its speed, meaning it no longer has need for gale wings. With Superpower and Air Slash in its arsenal, Talonflame can now hunt down those pesky rock types and cause some flinching chaos - with its new offensive stats, it hits harder as well as being faster therefore being able to trouble anything in the metagame. DO NOT let it set up, or Talonflame will knock you down with its dizzying speed!

Mega Talonflame

Ability -
Flame Body; Gale Wings
Fiery Gale - All Flying-type moves have their Speed Priority increased by 1 and All Fire-type moves gain a 50% boost in power if the Pokémon's Hit Points are below 33% (Gale Wings and Blaze variant)

HP - 78
78
Atk - 81
147 (+66)
Def - 71
87 (+16)
SpA - 74
74
SpD - 69
78 (+9)
Spe - 122
131 (+9)
BST - 499
599 (+100)

Movepool Additions - Superpower, Wild Charge
Competitive Analysis - Mega Talonflame can now benefit from taking recoil and Stealth Rocks damage, since leaving it below 33% is really undesirable. This Pokemon also gains a huge boost to its Attack stat, making it an even deadlier revenge killer, and now it is even less reliant on Flying-priority since it can now outspeed Tapu Koko, Marshadow and Weavile with the boost on its Speed. The thing is, even tho Mega Talonflame can use chip damage to its advantage, that also means it'll end up fainting itself after one or two Brave Birds/Flare Blitz is it has less then a third of its HP. It is also still quite frail and weak to priority, and while its speed saw a big improvement Pokemon like Ash-Greninja, Mega Manectric, Scarf Terrakion and Scarf Nihilego can still outspeed and cleanly OHKO it.

Mega Weavile

Ability -
Pressure; Pickpocket
Intimidate

HP - 70

Atk - 120
160 (+40)
Def - 65
80 (+15)
SpA - 45
50 (+5)
SpD - 85
100 (+15)
Spe - 125
150 (+25)
BST - 510
610 (+100)

Movepool Additions - Close Combat, Ice Fang
Competitive Analysis - Mega Weavile is a huge threat, Dark/Ice/Fighting coverage is really good, and when you add Pursuit and Ice Shard into the mix it becomes a very scary late game cleaner / revenge killer. Base 150 Speed is outstanding and the buff to its Attack stat comes in quite handy as well. Intimidate helps somewhat support its team and allows it to take a weak hit or another if need be. However, it still finds itself walled by many physically defensive Pokemon without a wekness to one of its coverage and Fighting / Steel pririty can take it down with ease.

Mega Crawdaunt

Ability -
Hyper Cutter; Shell Armor; Adaptability
Tough Claws

HP - 63
63
Atk - 120
153 (+33)
Def - 85

SpD - 55
73 (+18)
Spe - 55
88 (+33)
BST - 468
568 (+100)

Movepool Additions - Ice Punch, Poison Jab
Competitive Analysis - Mega Crawdaunt gains a much better speed tier and the loss of Life Orb is traded for an Attack buff. It gains some extra bulk to ease setting up but Crawdaunt still has the same issues it has always had: Base 88 Speed is obviously an improvement, but even slower Scarfers can outspeed at +1, like Tapu Lele, Landorus-T and Garchomp, though Aqua Jet kind of mitigates that problem, but its power is definately not enough to OHKO most neutral targets at +1. It also struggles to set up because of its bad defensive typing and poor bulk.

Talonflame

Fire / Flying → Fire / Flying

HP: 78 → 78 (0)
Atk: 81 → 131 (+50)
Def: 71 → 81 (+10)
SpA: 74 → 80 (+6)
SpD: 69 → 89 (+20)
Spe: 126 → 140 (+14)

Flame Body / Gale Wings → Reckless

  • With the nerf to gale wings, Talonflame has lost a lot of its previous versatility. One large problem it faces is its low attack stat, meaning it can't deal enough damage to break most relevant answers. With Reckless and this attack boost, however, it will be able to throw off extremely strong Flare Blitzes and Brave Birds.
  • Defenses were increased to allow a little more survive-ability after recoil, and a slight speed increase to push it above mons that would otherwise beat it, like Tapu Koko.
  • Mons with good defense, especially Rock types, balance out this set, as well as faster mons that can hit it super-effective.
Weavile

Dark / Ice → Dark / Ice

HP: 70 → 70 (+0)
Atk: 120 → 140 (+20)
Def: 65 → 55 (-10)
SpA: 45 → 130 (+85)
SpD: 85 → 65 (-20)
Spe: 125 → 150 (+25)

Pressure / Pickpocket → Dark Aura

  • There is certainly a Dark Aura to Weavile, hence the ability. It gives a nice boost to his main stab, whether physical or special.
  • To avoid having to boost either attack or speed even higher (boosting defenses doesn't really fit), I decided that Weavile could make a cool mixed attacker, hence the large buff to special attack. It also makes Weavile much more versatile, whether fully offensive or setup-wise.
  • This idea does not seem at all broken, as regular Weavile can actually achieve higher damage on the physical end. All it has over the regular is Speed and way more versatility.
Last but certainly not least...

Crawdaunt

Water / Dark → Water / Steel

HP: 63 → 63 (+0)
Atk: 120 → 120 (+0)
Def: 85 → 155 (+70)
SpA: 90 → 90 (+0)
SpD: 55 → 115 (+60)
Spe: 55 → 25 (-30)

Hyper Cutter/Shell Armor/Adaptability → Armour Burden (Defense and Sp.Def are doubled + Slow Start effect)
New Moves: Gyro Ball, Aqua Ring

  • Justification: Mega Crawdaunt's new shell is made of a ridiculously tough kind of metal, making it insanely bulky and changing its overall secondary typing to Steel. However, it is extremely heavy, resulting in Crawdaunt taking several turns to get into a good battle stance.
  • Pros and Cons: While the effects of Slow Start may seem undesirable, they can be countered by the use of Swords Dance. However, this means it has a significantly lower damage output than a regular Crawdaunt, which balances it out. If you manage to get it in after removing solid checks, however, have fun breaking through your opponent while they can't break through you!
  • Checks and Counters: Burn status essentially makes Mega Crawdaunt a non-threat. Phasing moves such as Whirlwind, Roar and Dragon Tail reset its Slow Start counter, and remove setup. Strong super-effective hits will wear it down thanks to its lack of reliable recovery outside of Aqua ring.
  • Team suggestions: Pair with a wish-passer to give it multiple opportunities to get in, as well as a cleric to remove Burn status. It has 3 weaknesses in Ground, Fighting and Electric, all of which a mon like Landorus-Therian can help remove.
  • Set suggestions: SD 3 Attacks, SD Sub Dual STAB, Sub Toxic Aqua Ring Crabhammer

Mega Weavile (one of my fav Pokemon)
Type
: Dark/Ice
Stats-
HP: 70
Atk: 120 -> 167 (+47)
Def: 65 -> 73 (+8)
SpAtk: 45
SpDef: 85 -> 105 (+20)
Speed: 125 -> 150 (+25)
Ability: Unnerve
Move Additions: Power Trip, Ice Fang
Description: Man I love Weavile. This Malicious Ice-Weasel-Thief thing has always been a threat in the OU tier (we don't talk about Gen 5) with it's amazing offensive type combination of Dark/Ice, enough coverage in Poison Jab and Low Kick, and STAB priority and trapping. Now, with Mega Weavile, this weasel does what it always did best but better: an great fast physical with a lackluster ability. With 165 Attack and blazing 150 Speed, Weavile can outspeed and seriously damage many, MANY Pokemon thanks to the strengths it always possessed. To go along with just how good it is, it gets an admittedly meh ability in Unnerve. However, it's not all bad as Unnerve allows Weavile to ignore the Colbur Berry of an opposing Psychic-type wall when using Knock Off and preventing the use of such things like Figy Berries and pinch berries.

Mega Weavile
Typing:

Ability:
Slush Rush
Stats:
HP: 70 (+0)
Attack: 160 (+40)
Defense: 105 (+40)
Special Attack: 45 (+0)
Special Defense: 105 (+20)
Speed: 125 (+0)
Added Moves: Sucker Punch, Scary Face
Design: Mega Weavile is bigger than the regular one, her claws grew longer, the pink feathers are silver now and she has a skull mask over her face.
Description: Hail is a cool weather but there isn't enough good Pokemon that can abuse it, so here is something that could possibly make hail teams better. Mega Weavile is threatening even outside of hail, because she has got a monstrous attack stat, a new strong priority STAB and more bulk, which gives it a bigger chance to set up Swords Dance.

Weavile @ Weavilite
Ability: Slush Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash

Defense: 71 (+0)
Special Attack: 104 (+30)
Special Defense: 69 (+0)
Speed: 151 (+25)
Added Moves: Air Slash, Hurricane
Design: Mega Talonflame is bigger than the regular one, his beak is yellow and he's spitting fire out of it. There are yellow feathers added to his tail and wings.
Description: Mega Talonflame is a fast, hard-hitting revenge killer and set up sweeper. Tough Claws boosted Brave Bird or Flare Blitz 2HKO most Pokemon in the tier and 151 speed allows Mega Talonflame to outpace everything bar Scarfers. However he is extremely weak to Stealth Rock and gets worn down quickly by the recoil of his STAB attacks.

Talonflame @ Talonflamite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

Added Moves: Dragon Claw, Outrage
Design: Mega Crawdaunt is bigger than the regular one, he changed color from red to dark blue and he has a second pair of huge claws.
Description: A slow inaccurate atom bomb. He has a decent physical bulk, so he is able to set up with Dragon Dance and try to pull off a sweep or just break some walls. After one Dragon Dance he reaches 943 attack if jolly nature and 1035 if adamant nature, which means he hits hard as fuck. However he is outsped by many common Pokemon even at +1.

Type: Dark/Ice
Stats: 70/140/55/85/95/165 (±0/+20/-10/+40/+10/+40) [BST: 610]
Ability: Technician
Appearance: All of the red feathers on Weavile now appear to have chilled flames, complete with more on its body. Weavile's forehead gem seems to have frozen over. Its claws are now extended, the extensions being made of ice. There appears to be more tail feathers, and all of them end in frost. (Height: 4'03"/1.3m; Weight: 77.2lb/35.0kg)
Added Moves: N/A
Description: What's faster than Pheromosa and hits with Base 140 Attack? Something that can get hurt with priority and rocks. Seriously, though this thing is fast and hurts like a freight train, one well-timed Bullet/Mach Punch will spell its doom.
Example Moveset:
Weavile @ Weavilite
Ability: Pressure / Pickpocket
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Poison Jab
- Power-Up Punch
Knock Off and Icicle Crash are STABs, Poison Jab and Power-Up Punch ensure perfect neutral coverage. Power-Up Punch buffs its Attack with each use, on top of Technician, so... >:)

Type: Fire/Flying
Stats: 78/121/66/104/64/166 (±0/+40/-5/+30/-5/+40) [BST: 599]
Ability: Gale Wings
Appearance: Talonflame now looks slimmer, with very thin wings. The gray splotches of feathers now radiate orange light. The black on its wings and flames are ablaze. (Height: 4'07"/1.4m; Weight: 25.0kg/55.1lb)
Added Moves: N/A
Description: Brave Bird + Gale Wings just got better. This thing's now just outsped by Speed Deoxys, and even then it can still beat it with Gale Wings Brave Bird. Oh, and need I mention the fact that it counters priority and Trick Room? Unfortunately, a combination of the two can spell its demise.
Example Moveset:
Talonflame @ Talonflite
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost
Classic Gen VI Talonflame's return. Adamant is prioritized due to the lack of pokes that can outspeed it, though one can go for Jolly instead just to make sure.

Type: Water/Steel
Stats: 63/190/85/100/85/45 (±0/+70/±0/+10/+30/-10) [BST: 568]
Ability: Technician
Appearance: Crawdaunt's body has coated over in harder armor, which has a metallic shine throughout. The tan splotches on it are now silver, and it has a red stripe between the two blue stripes on its chest. Oh, and the edges of the interiors of its claws have VERY sharp, no-touchy edges. The star on its forehead looks more metallic, and it's even sharpened! (Height: 4'03"/1.3m; Weight: 49.3kg/108.7lb)
Added Moves: Bullet Punch, Iron Head
Description: It's a wallbreaker, packing the best Attack stat of ANYTHING, tied with Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Rhyperior. While it is unfortunately quite slow, Trick Room can come in play for just that.
Example Moveset:
Crawdaunt @ Crawdauntite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Crabhammer
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
Sword Dance paves the way to set up. Crabhammer and Bullet Punch are STABs, with note to Bullet Punch for Priority, as it can deal with things that outspeed it, for instance Tapu Koko. Crunch can help with fishing for that Defense Drop.
