Latios (making some mod fixes)

[Overview]

Latios, the more offensive twin of Latias, is an excellent wallbreaker thanks to its beautiful Special Attack stat. Latios also has an excellent Speed stat, outpacing Pokemon such as non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, Mega Charizard X, and Zapdos. Levitate helps Latios against Choice item Pokemon that carry Ground-type moves and allows Latios to switch into Pokemon such as Garchomp and Landorus-T. Latios has a huge offensive movepool that includes Surf, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, and Hidden Power Fire to check various threats. While holding Choice Specs, Latios becomes a force to be reckoned with, hitting many Pokemon very hard with Draco Meteor. Even though Latios's Dragon / Psychic typing provides it with a handful of resistances, it also gives Latios weaknesses to types such as Bug, Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, and Ice. Its STAB moves are also resisted by common threats such as Aegislash, Mega Mawile, and Heatran. Latios's physical bulk isn't too great either, as it's left vulnerable to many physical attackers, such as Mega Kangaskhan, Talonflame, and Tyranitar.

Moves
========

Draco Meteor hits many Pokemon that don't resist it very hard; when boosted by Choice Specs, it OHKOes Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, physically defensive Zapdos, and defensive variants of Rotom-W. Psyshock is used against Fighting- and Poison-types such as Conkeldurr, Breloom, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Gengar. Additionally, Psyshock targets Defense rather than Special Defense, which makes it useful against Chansey, Assault Vest Conkeldurr, Sylveon, and specially defensive variants of Zapdos and Thundurus. Psychic is an alternative over Psyshock for more power in order to KO Mega Venusaur. However, it's not as useful as Psyshock is at checking Chansey. Surf hits Pokemon such as Heatran, Tyranitar, and Hippowdon for more damage. Trick allows Latios to shut down defensive Pokemon such as Chansey, Cresselia, Ferrothorn, Suicune, and Porygon2, especially helping against Swagger + Foul Play users such as Klefki and Thundurus on a predicted switch. Thunderbolt can be used over Trick to hit Water-types such as Gyarados, Azumarill, and Suicune.

Set Details
========

252 Special Attack EVs are needed to increase Latios's damage output. Maximum Speed EVs with a Timid nature allow Latios to outspeed any unboosted Pokemon under base 110 Speed such as Garchomp and Landorus-T. The remaining 4 EVs are put into Defense so that no EVs are wasted. Choice Specs, coupled with Latios's enormous Special Attack, allows it to deal a large amount of damage with any of its attacks.

Usage Tips
========

Latios is the kind of Pokemon to hit very hard and then faint afterwards to a stronger threat. Latios usually works great as a lead regardless of the opponent's team, as it can deal a lot of damage regardless with Draco Meteor or one of its coverage moves. If there are no Fairy-, Ice-, or Steel-types on the opponent's team, Latios makes for an even better lead. It can be used mid-game as well in case you feel wary of the opponent leading with a Choice Scarf user. Always utilize Trick against defensive Pokemon such as Cresselia, Porygon2, Ferrothorn, Zapdos, and Chansey to cripple them and let you switch into a more reasonable counter Latios also needs to be aware of Mega Evolutions, as you must scout for them before going for Trick. Despite avoiding most Ground-type moves thanks to Levitate, Latios should be careful around Excadrill because of its Mold Breaker Earthquake. Latios also needs to be wary of potential Choice Scarf users such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, Togekiss, and Hydreigon because they're able to outspeed and threaten it, so it's wise to anticipate them and switch out if you're planning on preserving Latios for later in the game. Latios should be careful of locking itself into a coverage move if the opponent has something that can punish Latios doing so, such as Mega Salamence or Garchomp.

Team Options
========

Scizor is the best partner for Latios, as they have great synergy. Scizor is able to get rid of pestering Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Mega Gardevoir, and Clefable while resisting Dragon-type moves from the likes of Garchomp, Dragonite, and Salamence. In return, Latios can switch into Fire-type attacks for Scizor. Fairy-types such as Mega Mawile and Azumarill are also great partners to Latios due to their immunity to Dragon-type moves and resistances to Dark- and Ice-type moves, which allow them to switch in freely on predicted attacks and eliminate troublesome Dark-types such as Tyranitar and Weavile. In return, Latios can switch into a predicted Ground-type attack for Mega Mawile and threaten out Hippowdon, and can threaten out Mega Venusaur or switch into an Electric- and Grass-type move for Azumarill. Blaziken can eliminate Steel-types such as Aegislash, Heatran, and Ferrothorn and Baton Pass Speed boosts to Latios, which will have extra Speed while hitting hard with Choice Specs. The Speed boost helps Latios outspeed Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Garchomp and Landorus-T, along with Mega Gengar and Mega Lopunny. Specially defensive Talonflame deserves a special mention because it reliably defeats Aegislash. Double-Edge Mega Kangaskhan can be of use against powerful threats such as Azumarill, Mega Gardevoir, and Chansey and can help against Steel-types as well with Earthquake. In return, Latios can get rid of Fighting-types such as Breloom and Conkeldurr and use Trick to cripple checks to Mega Kangaskhan such as Rocky Helmet Cresselia and Eviolite Porygon2.

Water-types such as Suicune and Gyarados are also great partners for Latios. Suicune can switch into Ice-type attacks from the likes of Mamoswine and Weavile for Latios and potentially burn the two threats with Scald. Gyarados can deal passive damage to physical attackers with Rocky Helmet and provide speed control support to Latios with Thunder Wave. Ferrothorn appreciates the removal of Fighting- and Fire-types such as Breloom, Conkeldurr, Mega Lopunny, Mega Charizard X, and Mega Charizard Y while being able to set up Stealth Rock and potentially paralyze threats with Thunder Wave before it goes down so that Latios can come in for free. Electric-types such as Thundurus, Zapdos, and Rotom-W are able to check Mega Salamence and Talonflame for Latios, giving it the freedom to run Trick over Thunderbolt. Thundurus deserves a special mention because it can give Latios speed control with Prankster Thunder Wave. Latios appreciates Stealth Rock support from the likes of Hippowdon, Landorus-T, and Tyranitar, as it allows Latios to KO Azumarill with Thunderbolt. Hippowdon can freely switch into a predicted Thunder Wave for Latios, and Landorus-T has access to Intimidate to soften physical attacks dealt to it.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Hidden Power Fire allows Latios to hit Steel-types such as Scizor and Ferrothorn. Ice Beam is another good coverage move to get rid of Thundurus, Gliscor, and Landorus-T. Memento, which gives a huge drop to the opposing foe's Attack and Special Attack, can be used as a last resort, allowing a teammate to switch in safely and and set up while taking minimal damage. Latios can utilize both Reflect and Light Screen as a way to support offensive Pokemon on its team. They should be used along with Memento, and Latios should hold a Light Clay to prolong the dual screens' duration. Thunder Wave cripples fast Pokemon and gives Latios's teammates opportunities to freely set up. Focus Sash can be used along with Thunder Wave because it acts as a blanket buffer against faster Pokemon that Latios might be unable to beat on its own. Calm Mind can be used to let Latios become a setup sweeper; however, Latios is much better off utilizing Trick and all of its other offensive moves. Shadow Ball allows Latios to hit Aegislash, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Metagross.

Thunder can be used instead of Thunderbolt for more power and is much more useful on rain teams but unfortunately lacks reasonable accuracy. Energy Ball helps Latios deal with Ground-types such as Mega Swampert and Gastrodon. Choice Scarf can be used to let Latios outspeed other Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Garchomp and Landorus-T, as well as Mega Gengar, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Manectric. However, Latios loses out on the extra damage it can deal with Choice Specs. Life Orb can be used for a little extra power and prevents Latios from being locked into a move. Unfortunately, Latios loses health after each successful attack, and Choice Specs is far better for damage output. Latiosite can allow Latios to Mega Evolve; however, Mega Latios is outclassed by Mega Latias due to its inferior bulk, and other items further Latios's usefulness more. Finally, physical Latios is outclassed by Mega Salamence and Dragonite as a Dragon Dance user.

Maximum Special Attack and Speed can be used as part of a lead set with Latios, consisting of dual screens, Memento, and Draco Meteor. This can allow for one of its teammates to set up easier.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types are immune to Latios's Dragon-type STAB moves. Mega Mawile and Azumarill can OHKO Latios with STAB Play Rough, while Sylveon and Mega Gardevoir can simply use Pixilate-boosted Hyper Voice to KO it. Mega Mawile deserves a special mention because it also resists Latios's STAB Psychic-type moves and thus can use Latios as setup fodder for Swords Dance. Whimsicott can paralyze Latios with Stun Spore and proceed to KO it with Moonblast. Mega Altaria can use Latios as Dragon Dance setup fodder or get rid of it with Pixilate-boosted Return or Hyper Voice. Klefki's Substitute blocks Trick, and its high Special Defense and resistances to Latios's STAB moves means that it can wall Latios without problems, as long as it doesn't switch into Trick.

**Revenge Killers**: Choice Band Talonflame, Choice Scarf Garchomp, Mamoswine, and Mega Blaziken with Knock Off can easily revenge kill Latios without many problems. Protean Greninja outspeeds Latios and KOes it with STAB Ice Beam. Mega Kangaskhan can hit Latios with a Fake Out and proceed to KO it with Sucker Punch. Choice Scarf Hydreigon can get rid of Latios with STAB Draco Meteor or Dark Pulse, not to mention that it can switch into Latios's Psychic-type moves with no fear because Latios will be locked into them due to Choice Specs.

**Chansey**: Because of Chansey's excellent special bulk, Latios won't do much damage to it even with Psyshock. Chansey can either stall Latios with Toxic and continue to recover health with Soft-Boiled or cripple it with Thunder Wave and wear it down with Seismic Toss. However, Chansey needs to be wary of Trick.

**Steel-types**: Aegislash easily resists Latios's STAB attacks and can either KO it back with Shadow Ball or use it as setup fodder for Swords Dance. Heatran isn't too bothered by most of Latios's attacks, but it needs to be wary of Surf.

**Ghost-types**: Mega Sableye can stall out Latios with Calm Mind, as it's not KOed by Choice Specs-boosted Draco Meteor. Mega Gengar has a very high chance to KO Latios with Shadow Ball; however, it needs to be wary of uncommon Choice Scarf variants of Latios.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar is immune to Latios's Psychic-type STAB moves and gains a Special Defense boost from sand. Latios also takes residual damage due to the sandstorm and can be KOed by Tyranitar's Crunch.

Need these mentions/edits somewhere:
-Draco Meteor OHKOs Rotom-W, both Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y, and OHKOs physically defensive Zapdos more than half the time.
-Surf is an OHKO on Hippowdon more than half the time.
-Psyshock allows you to OHKO AV Conkeldurr, hits Sylveon much harder (weakened/2HKO) and specially defensive variants of Thundurus + Zapdos.
(Note that: Fails to 2HKO Chansey, but Trick can cripple it anyway. Breloom is also sorta irrelevant here due to Sash.)
-Psychic allows you to OHKO Mega Venusaur and almost always OHKO defensive variants also (Psyshock doesn't).
-Trick deserves a mention for SwagPlay users like Klefki or Thundurus (only on the switch though, due to Prankster substitute ruining it) and Suicune (coz being defensive natured, Suicune hates specs/scarf).

Set Details

Should mention Levitate somewhere so the section looks less empty (nitpick).

Usage Tips
========

-Latios should never be brought in against a Fairy-type because it's very vulnerable against them. (Except if its something like Clefable as it would hate to be choice locked.)
-If there are no Fairy-, Ice-, and Steel-types during Team Preview, Latios can make a great lead.
Latios makes a great lead regardless of Team Preview as it can just go drop a Draco or hit something with its superb coverage move.
Moreover, due to its great Speed, scouting for potential Scarf can actually be a good thing, as you force the foe the lock into an Outrage or Icicle Crash, leaving you able to set up freely next turn with your sweeper (hi Mega Mawile).
When you talk about using Trick on defensive threats, appropriate Mega Evolutions should be scouted for before going for Trick (as it is easily predictable). It's less of a problem with Choice Scarf users since your next team member can set up on it, but with a wrong predicted Trick, you allow your opponent's Mega to potentially get a +2.

Team Options
========

When you talk about Fairy-types and Mega Mawile mention that Latios can easily remove Hippowdon for Mega Mawile, something it struggles with, while being able to threaten Mega Venusaur with STAB Psychic move of choice (which both Azu and Mawile hates).
-Blaziken can also Baton Pass into Latios, having extra Speed while hitting hard with Choice Specs.
Not sure about this part for the moment (leave for second QC). In what kind of situation can Blaziken pass Speed Boost onto Latios? Aegislash doesn't care, while Choice Banded Talonflame is a OHKO on both mons.
When you mention Mega Kangaskhan as teammates also mention Trick cripples a few of Mega Kangaskhan's checks such as Cresselia, Porygon2 and Reflect Suicune.
Under Ferrothorn, also need to mention Latios's Draco helps remove both Mega Charizard X and Y.

-Latios appreciates Stealth Rock support from the likes of Hippodown and Tyranitar.
Perhaps mention 1 example where something gets OHKOed after Stealth Rock damage? (Optional)
-Zapdos is cool teammate (top 10), it helps with you fly spam such as Talonflame and packing Heat Wave to roast Aegislash, Ferrothorn and Mega Mawile.

You can take Aegislash off the HP Fire mention since you have it under Shadow Ball, and maybe put Mega Mawile there instead (bad example).
You can remove Dragon Pulse I believe, it doesn't achieve any crucial OHKOs and is severely outclassed by Ice Beam even.

-Shadow Ball allow for Latios to hit Aegislash and Mega Gardevoir and Mega Metagross.
-Thunder can be used instead of Thunderbolt for more power. Unfortunately, Thunder lacks reasonable accuracy.
Damn, I'm not sure why Thunder is even in the top 10 moves, maybe Latios can be found on rain teams or something (second QC).
-Energy Ball helps Latios deal with Ground- and Rock-types Water-types such as Mega Swampert and Gastrodon.
-Latioiste is used to Mega Evolve Latios; however, it's better for Latios to have other items to further its usefulness.
Physical Mega Latios is outclassed by Mega Salamence and even Dragonite as Dragon Dancers, while Special Mega Latios is outclassed by Mega Latias due to inferior bulk. Both of these have great surprising value though (such as a free DD or CM if your opponent predicts wrong).

Checks and Counters
===================

Klefki definitely needs a mention under Fairy-types. Substitute blocks Trick, high special defense and immunity + resistance to Latio's STABs means it pretty much walls it without much problems. Also mention Mega Altaria can use Latio as setup fodder.

**Revenge Killers**: Choice Banded Talonflame, Choice Scarf Garchomp and Mamoswine, Mega Blaziken (with Knock Off) can easily revenge kill Latios without much problems.

[OVERVIEW]

The offensive version of Latias(i dont really like calling latios a version of latias, they're supposed to be twins not different versions of eachother, just my opinion though, this is minor ofc), soaring the skies into the Battle Spot Singles metagame with a beautiful Special Attack stat, which makes it an excellent wallbreaker. Latios has an excellent Speed stat, outpacing Pokemon such as non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, Mega Kangaskhan(i would rather not have a mention of mega kang because lati is sucker punch bait), Mega Charizard X, and Zapdos. Levitate which helps Latios against Choice item Pokemon that carry a Ground-type move in order to give Latios a free switch-in from Pokemon such as Garchomp and Landorus-T. Latios has a huge offensive movepool in order to check various threats within the game Surf, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Energy Ball, and Hidden Power Fire. Also, it has a bunch of support moves in helping out its teammates such as Memento, Reflect, Light Screen and Thunder Wave, as these moves can assist in its parter to set up on the foe(since these are strictly other options, i think it'd be best not to mention them in the overview and talk more about how lati is good cause specs draco can threaten to KO a lot of mons in the format). Even though Latios's Dragon / Psychic has a handful of resistances, its also susceptible to many other type weaknesses such as Bug-, Dark-, Dragon-, Fairy- Ghost-, and Ice.This is coupled that its type STAB moves lets Pokemon that resists its attacks to switch-in safely such as Aegislash and Heatran. Latios's physical bulk isn't too that great, as it's left vulnerable against many physical attackers (give examples).

Draco Meteor is Latios's strongest STAB move, which will hit many types that don't resists it(this sounds weird, any move hits types that dont resist it. i think youre trying to say that it hits many targets that dont resist it really hard? idk, just fix this up so it makes sense). Additionally, the move gets a boost while it's holding Choice Specs for more damage output(you dont need to say this because its obvious). Draco Meteor OHKOs a lot of pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, physically defensive Zapdos, and defensive variants of Rotom-W. Surf helps Latios hit Pokemon such as Heatran, tyranitar, and Hippodown for more damage. Psyshock is a great STAB move for Latios to utilize against Fighting- and Poison-types such as Conkeldurr, Breloom, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Gengar. Additionally, Psyshock targets Defense, which makes it useful against Chansey, Assault Vest Conkeldurr, Sylveon, and specially defensive variants of Zapdos and Thundurus. Psychic is an alternative over Psyshock for more power in order to KO Mega Venusaur. However, it's not as useful as Psyshock is in checking Chansey. Trick allows for Latios to shut down defensive Pokemon such as Chansey, Cresselia, Ferrothorn, Suicune, and Porygon2, especially Swagger + Foul Play users such as Klefki or Thundurus on a predicted switch. Thunderbolt can be used over Trick to hit Water-types such as Gyarados, Azumarill, and Suicune.

Set Details
========

252 Special Attack is needed to increase Latios's damage output. Maximum Speed EVs with a Timid nature allows for Latios to outspeed any non-Choice Scarf Pokemon under base 110 Speed such as Garchomp and Landorus-T. The remaining 4 EVs are used in Defense so that no EVs would be wasted. Choice Specs is much more needed for this set coupled with Latios's enormous based Special Attack, which will allow it to deal a large amount of damage with any of its attacks. Levitate is useful in avoiding Ground-type moves.

Usage Tips
========

Latios should never be brought in against a Fairy-type because it's very vulnerable against them. Make sure you have a partner for Latios to deal with this issue, especially during Team Preview(the first sentence here feels to obvious to be telling people, and the second sounds like team options). Latios also (usually) works great as a lead regardless of Team Preview(i wouldnt exactly say that, if the team preview is heavily against latios you probably shouldnt bring it) due to just attacking and dealing a lot of damage with either Draco Meteor or one of its coverage moves. If there are no Fairy-, Ice-, and Steel-types during Team Preview, Latios can make a great lead. Additionally, it can be used mid-game as well incase you feel wary of Choice Scarf Pokemon as a lead from the opposing team. Always utilize Trick to lock defensive Pokemon such as Cresselia, Porygon2, Ferrothorn, Zapdos, and Chansey because they'll most likely go into a non-attacking move. That way, it can switch out into a more reasonable counter. Latios also needs to be aware for of Mega Evolutions, as they should be scouted before going for Trick. Make use of Levitate as a prediction to Choice users such as Garchomp(i wouldnt tell people to always predict EQ vs garchomp, thats an incredibly risky play that can cost you the game), as Latios can use that to its advantage in getting a free switch-in from Earthquake. It will need to be wary for Excadrill though because of Mold Breaker Earthquake. Moreover, due to its great Speed, scouting for potential Choice Scarf users can actually be a good thing, as you force the foe the lock into a move one of Latios's teammates has a resistance or immunity to, leaving you able to switch-in with a reasonable counter and set up freely next turn with your sweeper. (this last sentence is really hard to understand but im not really sure how to totally fix it, i think i get what youre saying. youre saying latios has high base speed so you when common scarfers like lando and chomp outspeed it, you know for sure they are scarfed and can take advantage of that(r-right?). the way you worded it here will be hard for new players to understand i think, even players who arent new probably will have trouble. i think you should find a better way to word this or just take it out cause its not that important.)

i would just try to get the point across that lati is the kind of mon that just hits really hard and then GTFOs or dies. in 3v3 having a nuke pokemon like latios can put you up 2-3 pretty fast sometimes.

Team Options

Scizor is the best partner for Latios, as they both have great synergy with each other. Scizor is able to get rid of pestering Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Mega Gardevoir, and Clefable while resisting Dragon-type moves from the likes of Garchomp, Dragonite, and Salamence. In return, Latios can switch into resisted Fire-type attacks for Scizor. Fairy-types such as Mega Mawile and Azumarill are also considered great partners to Latios due to their immunity to Dragon-type moves, allowing them to switch in freely on a predicted attack. Additionally, Latios appreciates the removal of Dark-types such as Tyranitar and Weavile. In return Latios can switch into a predicted Ground-type attack for Mega Mawile and threaten out Hippowdown and Mega Venusaur or a Electric- and Grass-type move for Azumarill. Blaziken can eliminate Steel-types such as Aegislash, Heatran, and Ferrothorn for Latios. Also due to Speed Boost, Blaziken can also Baton Pass into Latios, having extra Speed while hitting hard with Choice Specs. This will help it outspeed Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Garchomp and Landorus-T, along with Mega Gengar and Mega Lopunny. Talonflame can easily rid of Grass-types such as Serperior(i dont think this is that big of a deal for latios specifically). Special defensive Talonflame deserves a special mention because it reliable defeats Aegislash. Double Edge Mega Kangaskhan can be of use against powerful threats(what kind of threats is double edge hitting that latios wants away with?). With access to Earthquake, it'll help against Steel-types as well. In return Latios can get rid of Fighting-types such as Breloom and Conkeldurr. Trick deserves a special mention because it's able to cripple Mega Kangaskhan's checks such as Rocky Helmet Cresselia and Eviolite Porygon2.

Water-types such as Suicune and Gyarados are also great partners for Latios. Suicune can switch into resisted Ice-type attacks from the likes of Mamoswine and Weavile for Latios and get a possible burn on the two threats with Scald. Gyarados can provide support with Thunder Wave, giving Latios Speed control. Also, Gyarados can deal passive damage to physical attackers with Rocky Helmet. Ferrothorn appreciates the removal of potential Fighting- and Fire-types such as Breloom, Conkeldurr, Mega Lopunny, Mega Charizard X, and Mega Charizard Y while being able to set up Stealth Rock and potentially Thunder Wave a few threats before it goes down so Latios can come in for free. Latios appreciates Stealth Rock support from the likes of Hippodown and Tyranitar. Additionally, Hippodown can freely switch into predicted Thunder Waves for Latios.

Hidden Power Fire allows for Latios to hit Steel-types such as Scizor and Ferrothorn. Ice Beam is another good coverage move to get rid of Thundurus, Garchomp, Gliscor, and Landorus-T. Memento gives a huge drop to the opposing foe's Attack and Special Attack by two stages. This can also be used as a last resort when Latios is low on health. It'll allow for its partner to switch-in safely and an set up, taking minimal damage. Latios can utilize both Reflect and Light Screen as a way to support offensive Pokemon on its team. They should be used along with Memento and holding a Light Clay to prolonge the use of the dual screens. Thunder Wave provides support in crippling fast Pokemon and give its teammates a way to freely set up. Calm Mind can be used to obtain a boost in both its Special Attack and Special Defense; however, Latios is much better in utilizing Trick and all of its other offensive moves. Shadow Ball allow for Latios to hit Aegislash, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Metagross.

Thunder can be used instead of Thunderbolt for more power, it's much more useful on rain teams. Unfortunately, Thunder lacks reasonable accuracy. Energy Ball helps Latios deal with Ground-types such as Mega Swampert and Gastrodon. Choice Scarf can be used to outspeed other Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, as well as Mega Gengar, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Manectric. However, it'll lose out on the extra damage it can give out with Choice Specs. Life Orb can be used with a little extra power to hit foes and prevents Latios from being locked into a move. Unfortunately, it loses health after each successful attack and Choice Specs is far better in dealing more damage. Latioiste is used to Mega Evolve Latios; however, it's better for Latios to have other items to further its usefulness. Physical Latios is outclassed by Mega Salamence and Dragonite as Dragon Dancers, while Mega Latios is outclassed by Mega Latias due to its inferior bulk.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: All Fairy-types are immune to Latios's Dragon-type STAB moves. Mega Mawile and Azumarill can OHKO Latios with STAB Play Rough. Mega Gardevoir and Sylveon can simply use Pixilate-boosted Hyper Voice to KO it. Mega Mawile deserves a special mention because it can use Latios as setup fodder with Swords Dance, as it also resists its STAB Psychic-type moves. Whimsicott can paralyze it with Stun Spore and proceed to KO it with Moonblast. Mega Altaria can get rid of Latios with Pixilate Return or Hyper Voice. Klefki's Substitute blocks Trick, high special defense and immunity + resistance to Latio's STABs means it pretty much walls it without much problems. Mega Altaria can use Latios as a setup fodder with Dragon Dance.

**Revenge Killers**: Choice Banded Talonflame, Choice Scarf Garchomp Mamoswine, Mega Blaziken with Knock Off can easily revenge kill Latios without much problems. add greninja to the list

**Chansey**: Because of Chansey's excellent special bulk, Latios wouldn't do much damage to it even if it's running Psyshock. Chansey is able to stall Latios with either Toxic and continue to recover health with Soft-Boiled or cripple it with Thunder Wave and continue to use Seismic Toss on it. However, Chansey needs to be wary of Trick.

**Steel-types**: Aegislash easily resists Latios's STAB attacks and can KO it back with Shadow Ball. Additionally, Aegislash can use it as a setup fodder with Swords Dance. Heatran isn't too bothered by any attack that Latios dishes out; however, it'll need to be wary of Surf.

**Ghost-types**: Mega Sableye can stall out Latios with Calm Mind, as it's not KOed by Choice Specs Draco Meteor. Mega Gengar has a very high chance to KO Latios with Shadow Ball; however, it'll need to be wary of uncommon Choice Scarf variants of Latios.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar is immune to Latios's Psychic-type STAB moves. Latios also takes residual damage due to the sandstorm and can be KOed by Crunch.(it also gets a spdef boost from sand which is what makes it really good against latios)

I know you said you'd take a look at this earlier Theorymon, but we all know how busy you've been so I'm taking this off your workload for you.

[OVERVIEW]

I don't think Energy Ball and Hidden Power Fire need to be mentioned in the Overview, even for Other Option moves they're not common (due in part to "rip getting Hidden Power legends with pentagon"). Hidden Power Fire can still have that mention if you want since it's still pretty relevant, but Energy Ball isn't very notable.

"This is coupled that its type STAB moves lets Pokemon that resists its attacks to switch-in safely such as Aegislash and Heatran." I feel like that first bit is self-evident since anything that has its STAB combination resisted by something will allow that to switch in safely. I'd reword this to read more like "Its STAB combination is also resisted by common threats such as Aegislash, Mega Mawile, and Heatran."

Mention that Latios should be careful locking into a coverage move if the opponent might have something that can punish it. This is generally true of any Choice-locked Pokemon but giving stuff like Mega Salamence or SD Garchomp a free setup opportunity is very realistic with Surf and Thunderbolt. And usually destructive.

Team Options
========

Mention the Ice resistance when talking about Azumarill and Mega Mawile as partners, Latios really appreciates that with all the Ice moves going around.
Landorus-T also makes for a good SR setter and has Intimidate to soften up physical hits for Latios.
Zapdos, Thundurus and Rotom-W also check Mega Salamence and Talonflame which are both annoying for Latios. They also reduce the need for Latios to run Thunderbolt in favor of Trick.
Speaking of SR, I think it'd be worth mentioning what this helps you KO, but I can't think of much myself (guarantees Draco on Kang but that just Sucker Punches you). Helps against bulkier Azumarill though, 252 HP Azumarill is a guaranteed OHKO with Thunderbolt after SR.
(Also this is more of a response to why you'd BP Blaziken into Latios, it's more of a passive benefit from pivoting than something you'd intentionally run it for so I think it's okay to leave the mention)

Focus Sash Latios is kinda neat, I'd mention it when talking about Thunder Wave since Thunder Wave + Sash is pretty solid as an emergency blanket check to faster Pokemon that Latios might be unable to beat on its own.

**Revenge Killers**:
Mention Mega Kangaskhan Sucker Punch, that's an easy OHKO against Latios. Scarf Hydreigon also KOs with Draco Meteor (Dark Pulse is only a 25% chance to OHKO) and can come in on Latios locked into Psychic/Psyshock.

And with that you've got 3 thorough look-throughs on this, implement this stuff and I'd say this is ready for GP.

[OVERVIEW] UNBOLD THESE HEADINGS

The more offensive twin to of Latias, soaring the skies into the Battle Spot Singles metagame (fluff - I've taken out the unnecessary parts, but this sentence still sounds a bit off, so you will need to rephrase it. Something like "Latios, the more offensive twin of Latias, makes an excellent wallbreaker thanks to its beautiful Special Attack...") with a beautiful Special Attack stat, which makes it an excellent wallbreaker. Latios has an excellent Speed stat, outpacing Pokemon such as non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, Mega Charizard X, and Zapdos. Levitate which helps Latios against Choice item Pokemon that carry a Ground-type move, (AC) in order to give Latios a free switch-in from Pokemon such as Garchomp and Landorus-T. Latios has a huge offensive movepool consisting of Surf, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball and Hidden Power Fire in order to check various threats within the game Surf, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, and Hidden Power Fire. While holding a Choice Specs, Latios becomes a force to be reckoned with, hitting many Pokemon with Draco Meteor very hard. Even though Latios's Dragon / Psychic typing has a handful of resistances, it's also susceptible to many other type weaknesses such as Bug-, Dark-, Dragon-, Fairy- Ghost-, Bug, Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, (the dashes are only used if you're going to say "-type") and Ice. Its STAB combination moves are also resisted by common threats such as Aegislash, Mega Mawile, and Heatran. Latios's physical bulk isn't too that great either, as it's left vulnerable against many physical attackers such as Mega Kangaskhan, Talonflame, and Tyranitar.

Draco Meteor is Latios's strongest STAB move, which will hits many types ("Pokemon" would sound better here) that don't resist the attack it very hard. Additionally, the move gets a boost while it's holding Choice Specs for more damage output. Draco Meteor OHKOes a lot of Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, physically defensive Zapdos, and defensive variants of Rotom-W. Surf helps Latios hit Pokemon such as Heatran, Tyranitar, and Hippodown for more damage. Trick allows for Latios to shut down defensive Pokemon such as Chansey, Cresselia, Ferrothorn, Suicune, and Porygon2,. (remove comma, add period) It especially helps against Swagger + Foul Play users such as Klefki or and Thundurus on a predicted switch. Thunderbolt can be used over Trick to hit Water-types such as Gyarados, Azumarill, and Suicune.

Set Details
========

252 Special Attack is needed to increase Latios's damage output. Maximum Speed EVs with a Timid nature allows for Latios to outspeed any non-Choice Scarf Pokemon under base 110 Speed such as Garchomp and Landorus-T. The remaining 4 EVs are used in Defense so that no EVs would be are wasted. Choice Specs is much more needed for this set coupled with Latios's enormous based Special Attack, , coupled with Latios's enormous Special Attack, which will allow it to deal a large amount of damage with any of its attacks. Levitate is useful in avoiding Ground-type moves. (not necessary)

Usage Tips
========

Latios is very much the kind of Pokemon to to hit very hard and then faints afterwards to a more much ("much" is used for comparing) stronger threat. Sometimes in a metagame such as this, having this hard-hitting Pokemon on your team can put you in a head start quickly once the opposing Pokemon goes down. Latios usually works great as a lead regardless of Team Preview, (AC) due to just attacking and dealing a lot of damage with either Draco Meteor or one of its coverage moves. If there are no Fairy-, Ice-, and or Steel-types during Team Preview, Latios can make a great lead. Additionally, it can be used mid-game as well in(space)case you feel wary of a Choice Scarf Pokemon as a lead from the opposing team. Despite having to avoid Earthquake with Levitate, Latios will need to be wary for Excadrill though because of Mold Breaker Earthquake. Latios does also needs to be wary of potential Choice Scarf users such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, Togekiss, and Hydreigon, (AC) so it would be more wise to anticipate that and go into a more reasonable threat if you're planning on preserving Latios for later in the game. Latios should be careful locking into a coverage move if the opponent might have something that can punish it such as Mega Salamence and Garchomp.

Team Options
========

Also, Mega Mawile and Azumarill can switch into an Ice-type attack for Latios. In return, (AC) Latios can switch into a predicted Ground-type attack for Mega Mawile and threaten out Hippowdown (common spelling mistake, haha) and Mega Venusaur or a Electric- and Grass-type move for Azumarill (I really don't know why you're saying here ;-;). Blaziken can eliminate Steel-types such as Aegislash, Heatran, and Ferrothorn for Latios. Also, (AC) due to Speed Boost, Blaziken can also Baton Pass into to Latios, having who will have extra Speed while hitting hard with Choice Specs. This will The Speed boost will (I changed this because in the previous statement, you mention Choice Specs allowing Latios to hit hard, as well as the Speed boost, so I tweaked the sentence beginning for clarity) help it outspeed Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Garchomp and Landorus-T, along with Mega Gengar and Mega Lopunny (don't see why you couldn't mention them all in one list). Specially defensive Talonflame deserves a special mention because it reliable reliably defeats Aegislash. Double-Edge (AH) Mega Kangaskhan can be of use against powerful threats such as Azumarill, Mega Gardevoir, and Chansey. With access to Earthquake, it'll help against Steel-types as well. In return, (AC) Latios can get rid of Fighting-types such as Breloom and Conkeldurr. Trick also deserves a special mention because it's able to cripple Mega Kangaskhan's checks such as Rocky Helmet Cresselia and Eviolite Porygon2.

Electric-types such as Thundurus, Zapdos, and Rotom-W are able to check Mega Salamence and Talonflame for Latios. With any of the three being its partner, Latios doesn't have to resort to running Thunderbolt over Trick. Thundurus deserves a special mention because it can give Latios more Speed control with Prankster Thunder Wave. Latios appreciates Stealth Rock support from the likes of Hippodown, Landorus-T, and Tyranitar, which as it allows to Latios to KO Azumarill with Thunderbolt after Stealth Rock damage. Additionally, Hippodown can freely switch into predicted Thunder Waves for Latios, (AC) and Landorus-T has access to Intimidate to soften physical attacks dealt to Latios.

Hidden Power Fire allows for Latios to hit Steel-types such as Scizor and Ferrothorn. Ice Beam is another good coverage move to get rid of Thundurus, Gliscor, and Landorus-T. Memento gives a huge drop to the opposing foe's Attack and Special Attack by two stages. This can also be used as a last resort when Latios is low on health. It'll allow for its partner to switch-in (RH) safely and and set up, taking minimal damage. Latios can utilize both Reflect and Light Screen as a way to support offensive Pokemon on its team. They should be used along with Memento and holding Latios should hold a Light Clay to prolong the use of the dual screens (I think I fixed the parallelism issue here). Thunder Wave provides support in crippling fast Pokemon and give its teammates a way to freely set up. Focus Sash can be used when using Thunder Wave because it acts as a blanket for faster Pokemon that Latios might be unable to beat on its own. Calm Mind can be used to obtain a boost in both its Special Attack and Special Defense; however, Latios is much better in utilizing Trick and all of its other offensive moves. Shadow Ball allows for Latios to hit Aegislash, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Metagross.

Thunder can be used instead of Thunderbolt for more power, it's and is much more useful on rain teams. However, it'll lose out on the extra damage it can give out deal with Choice Specs. Life Orb can be used with for a little extra power to hit foes and prevents Latios from being locked into a move. Unfortunately, it Latios loses health after each successful attack and Choice Specs is far better in dealing more damage. Latioiste is used to Mega Evolve Latios; however, it's better for Latios to have other items to further its usefulness. Physical Latios is outclassed by Mega Salamence and Dragonite as Dragon Dancers users, while Mega Latios is outclassed by Mega Latias due to its inferior bulk.

Checks and Counters
===================

Klefki's Substitute blocks Trick, and its high Special Defense and immunity + and resistance to Latio's STABs moves means it pretty much walls it without much problems. Mega Altaria can use Latios as a setup fodder with Dragon Dance.

**Revenge Killers**: Choice Banded Talonflame, Choice Scarf Garchomp, (add comma, remove double space) Mamoswine, and Mega Blaziken with Knock Off can easily revenge kill Latios without much problems. Protean Greninja outspeeds Latios and KOs it with STAB Ice Beam. Mega Kangaskhan can hit Latios with a Fake Out and KO it with Sucker Punch. Choice Scarf Hydreigon can get rid of Latios with STAB Draco Meteor or Dark Pulse, not to mention it can switch into Psyshock or Psychic, which Latios will be locked into from Choice Specs.

**Chansey**: Because of Chansey's excellent special bulk, Latios wouldn't won't do much damage to it even if it's running Psyshock.

Additionally, Aegislash can use it Latios as a setup fodder with Swords Dance.

Latios also takes residual damage due to the sandstorm and can be KOed by Crunch. Due to the sandstorm being active, Tyranitar gets a boost in Special Defense, making it more difficult for Latios to deal with.
A well-written analysis, as always, but be wary of tenses. You tend to drift into different tenses within one sentence, so make sure you're consistent. Also, there were a few capitalization issues, but other than that, a solid analysis [:

If the dedicated lead set (dual screens + memento) doesn't get its own set it def needs a more prominent mention in OO. It has relatively low usage but it is technically the second most common build. I run into it a fair bit and tried it out a while ago and it's cool for set uppers

Latios has a huge offensive movepool that includes consisting of Surf, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, (comma) and Hidden Power Fire in (note for Sobi: "consisting of" implies that the movepool is limited to those moves, which isn't true, but I agree with the move. Latios is very much the kind of Pokemon to to hit very hard and then faints afterwards to a more much ("much" is used for comparing) (technically this changes the meaning: they're both used for comparison, but more is redundant with stronger. You'd say either "stronger" or "more strong", not "more stronger", but since "stronger" is a word, you don't say "more strong".) stronger threat. Sometimes in a metagame such as this, having this hard-hitting Pokemon on your team can put you in a head start quickly once the opposing Pokemon goes down. (I don't understand the point of this sentence. Isn't it obvious that you're advantaged by having a strong Pokemon like Latios KO opposing Pokemon?) **Tyranitar**: Tyranitar is immune to Latios's Psychic-type STAB moves and gains a Special Defense boost from Sand Stream's sand. Latios also takes residual damage due to the sandstorm and can be KOed by Tyranitar's Crunch. Due to the sandstorm being active, Tyranitar gets a boost in Special Defense, making it more difficult for Latios to deal with. (integrated with first sentence)

Cant say has a valid point there. Let's see if I can conjure up anything decent:
A Light Clay set along with both Reflect and Light Screen allows Latios to function as an effective dual screener. This lets setup sweepers such as Azumarill and Mega Tyranitar more opportunities to set up safely all the while making them harder to take down. Memento should also be run so Latios can exit the match safely after setting up screens or no longer needed. However, since a dual screener set forces Latios to go either mono Dragon or Psychic in the last slot, this leave it severely walled by some of the most prominent Steel-types in the metagame, such as Mega Mawile, Aegislash and Klefki. (Mawile can just setup SD, same deal with Aegislash. Both Aegislash and Klefki can safely go behind subs to do whatever they want, set up, Toxic stall or SwagPlay.) To some extent, this set allows also allows CM Suicune to potentially run havoc. (Sub and Roar variants particularly doesn't mind the Dual Sceener, as you can no longer cripple it with Trick, and take little from Psychic, while being able to recover the damage off Draco.)

I've ran the set before as a test almost a year ago. I ran max HP and Speed.

I can certainly include it in the OO.

EDIT: Latios @ Light Clay
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Timid
- Light Screen
- Memento
- Reflect
- Psyshock

(Mega) Scizor is the best example of a set upper who appreciates the set, Ttar is ok but I've never heard of someone using Azu with it, although in theory it could work ok.

Those three steels wall even the choiced set, so I'm not sure why they're super relevant to walling the screens one. Just say that the set lacks in coverage.

No need to go so in depth if this is an OO mention, although if it is getting its own set it'll need to be totally written up.

I like max SpA with Draco in the last slot. Not really sure what uninvested Psyshock is doing.

Only for Chansey and that's pretty much the only reason.

Changes have been made.

I didn't add anything about the lead set yet. Do you want me to make it into another set or just mention it to OO? I'll be happy to do either!

[OVERVIEW]

Latios, the more offensive twin of Latias, makes is an excellent wallbreaker thanks to its beautiful Special Attack stat. Latios has a huge offensive movepool that includes Surf, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, and Hidden Power Fire in order to check various threats.

Moves
========

Draco Meteor hits many Pokemon that don't resist it very hard; when boosted by Choice Specs, it OHKOes a lot of Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, physically defensive Zapdos, and defensive variants of Rotom-W. Psyshock is a great STAB move for Latios to utilize used against Fighting- and Poison-types such as Conkeldurr, Breloom, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Gengar. However, it's not as useful as Psyshock is in at p subjective checking Chansey.

Set Details
========

252 Special Attack EVs are needed to increase Latios's damage output. Maximum Speed EVs with a Timid nature allow Latios to outspeed any unboosted Pokemon with under base 110 Speed such as Garchomp and Landorus-T. The remaining 4 EVs are put into Defense so that no EVs are wasted. Choice Specs, coupled with Latios's enormous Special Attack, allows it to deal a large amount of damage with any of its attacks.

Usage Tips
========

Latios is the kind of Pokemon to hit very hard and then faint afterwards to a stronger threat. Latios usually works great as a lead regardless of the opponent's team, as it can deal a lot of damage anyway right away or did you mean "regardless"? "anyway" is a bit odd choice with Draco Meteor or one of its coverage moves. If there are no Fairy-, Ice-, or Steel-types on the opponent's team, Latios makes for an even better lead. It can be used mid-game as well in case you feel wary of the opponent leading with a Choice Scarf user. Always utilize Trick against defensive Pokemon such as Cresselia, Porygon2, Ferrothorn, Zapdos, and Chansey to cripple them and let you switch into a more reasonable counter because they'll most likely use a non-attacking move. idk if keeping this half of the sentence is needed if you say "always use it" too. Gives a conflicting message you know? Latios also needs to be aware of Mega Evolutions, as you must scout for them before going for Trick. Despite avoiding most Ground-type moves thanks to Levitate, Latios should be careful around Excadrill because of its Mold Breaker Earthquake. Latios also needs to be wary of potential Choice Scarf users such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, Togekiss, and Hydreigon, why? so it's wise to anticipate them and switch out if you're planning on preserving Latios for later in the game. Latios should be careful of locking itself into a coverage move if the opponent has something that can punish Latios doing so, such as Mega Salamence or Garchomp.

Team Options
========

In return, Latios can switch into a predicted Ground-type attack for Mega Mawile and threaten out Hippowdon, (AC) and Latios can threaten out Mega Venusaur or switch into an Electric- and Grass-type move for Azumarill. Blaziken can eliminate Steel-types such as Aegislash, Heatran, and Ferrothorn for Latios and Baton Pass Speed boosts to Latios, which will have extra Speed while hitting hard with Choice Specs.

Thundurus deserves a special mention because it can give Latios speed control support with Prankster Thunder Wave.

Other Options
=============

Thunder Wave provides support in crippling cripples fast Pokemon and gives Latios's teammates opportunities to freely set up.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar is immune to Latios's Psychic-type STAB moves and gains a Special Defense boost from Sand Stream's sand. Latios also takes residual damage due to the sandstorm and can be KOed by Tyranitar's Crunch.

I remember in the past that Bolt Beam was praised for having great type coverage between the two. Isn't Latios still a great user of Bolt Beam? I feel it needs a mention somewhere.

For Latios unlike a lot of other things has Draco Meteor which is more powerful on the first hit and Ice Beam is not really needed since Draco also kills most common targets of Ice Beam. I also don't feel like Latios really wants to be locked into either of them.
