The Boundary Pokemon has arrived to freeze OU! When equipped with Choice Specs, Kyurem leverages its power and bulk to become a fearsome wallbreaker for balanced and bulky offensive teams. Freeze-Dry and Earth Power threaten Pokemon that would otherwise switch into Ice Beam, the former beating bulky Water-types like Toxapex and Tera Water Gliscor, while the latter deals with Steel-types like Kingambit, Gholdengo, and Heatran. Tera Ice is mainly used offensively, as it notably allows Kyurem's Ice Beam to 2HKO Ice-resistant foes like offensive Gholdengo and Kingambit. Kyurem appreciates support from Galarian Slowking, as it gets Kyurem onto the field safely with Chilly Reception, with the Defense boost from Snow allowing it to live feats such as Zamazenta's Close Combat and +1 Tera Flying Roaring Moon's Acrobatics. Hazard removers such as Great Tusk, Cinderace, and Iron Treads prevent Kyurem from getting worn down by entry hazards to wallbreak repeatedly. Cinderace in particular is excellent because Kyurem exploits Gliscor and Water-types that Cinderace lures in and uses U-turn against. Lastly, special cleaners like Volcarona, Iron Valiant, and Enamorus appreciate Kyurem breaking and overwhelming special walls, most notably Galarian Slowking.

Freeze Dry and Earth Power combine to hit bulky Water- and Steel-Type pokemon like Toxapex, Slowking, Gholdengo and Kingambit that would otherwise switch in to Kyurem's Ice Beam. (separate freeze dry & earth power into their own sections for emphasis, since they're very crucial tools in making kyurem the way it is. something like "freeze dry and EP threatens foes that would otherwise switch into ice beam, the former dealing with bulky waters like [examples] while the latter does so with steels like [examples]" but feel free to reword) Tera Ice is mainly used offensively, which notably (this implication covers the fringe cases where you can take stuff in a pinch by removing the dragon typing) allows Kyurem's Ice Beam to 2HKO resists like offensive Gholdengo and Kingambit and OHKO neutral targets like Darkrai and Excadrill, while gaining an Ice resistance and shedding weaknesses to Dragon and Fairy allowing Kyurem to take otherwise fatal hits from opposing Kyurem, Iron Valiant, and Dragapult. (no mon is clicking their ice moves on you in the first place; weav meow just knocks if they even decide to stay in, kyurem dracos you [also has a chance to still ohko], and darkrai just dpulse/focus + valiant can just CC you. if you want the defensive utility then tera ground or fairy is better for these) Kyurem appreciates support from Galarian Slowking, as it gets Kyurem onto the field safely with a defense boost from Snow while drawing in the physical attackers that break it for Kyurem to exploit. (you never want to switch into the common physical attackers that threaten glowking with kyurem--since you risk the SE stab move from tusk & gambit and meow/weav can remove your specs with knock--especially w the rocks weakness + you lack longevity to freely go into them. instead, you can mention how the defense boost from snow lets you take on stuff like zama's cc, +1 tera flying roaring moon's acro, and +2 lategame offensive gambit's sucker, letting you trade w them if necessary) Hazard removers such as Great Tusk, Cinderace and Iron Treads can massively increase Kyurems threat level, as they allow Kyurem to keep hitting the field over and over without getting worn down by Stealth Rock and Spikes to do much more damage throughout a game than it otherwise would. (mention how ace brings you in on gliscor w uturn) (if there's still enough room, then mention late-game cleaners that pair well w it, like volc, booster valiant, & scarf enamorus, which appreciate kyurem wallbreaing earlygame for them)
