Should Lucario be included in the team options of the second set? I don't think that Lucario should be named as the second idea of a teammate. I mean, Lucario isn't a OU staple anymore
Yeah, Lucario at the moment isn't even getting an OU analysis (and neither is Starmie), though Icr if it was here or somewhere else it was mentioned).

Especially:
* Without Swords Dance, Scizor will stop all possibilities of Kartana sweeping. Magnezone can trap it, but lures such as Hidden Power [Fire] Alakazam and Blaze Kick Lucario also make good teammates.
???

Edit: Okay thats better. My bad.

For the Choice Scarf set details, I'd focus less on what other Choice Scarf users Kartana outspeeds and talk about the important stuff that that normally give it trouble w/o a Scarf, such as Tapu Koko, Ash Greninja, Latios, Pheromosa, Mega Zam, etc etc.

[overview]

can give a brief mention of its incredibly high atk stat, you should be able to merge that with the first point.

[set - sd]

uhh just make the set order: sd | leaf blade | smart strike | sacred sword cause the name of the set is swords dance, may as well go first just for organization.

[set details - sd]

its sort of implied but just say in the first point: a jolly nature alongside maximum speed evs just to cover everything needed.

[team options - sd]

altho a few good examples were mentioned, you can go over pkmn that switch into common dragons and shit bcuz kartana obviously does not appreciate that (av magearna is one). also it can be paired with forms of speed control to help with its offense issue; specs water shuriken ash gren, scarf landt, scarf lele, scarf chomp, u know.

[set details - scarf]

same thing as the sd section (max speed evs) on the point of its jolly nature.

[usage tips - scarf]

i know skarmory is usually the main steel on stall but you can mention something like celesteela as well.

[team options - scarf]

in the point on backup steels, you can make a point on av magearna again which also lures in stuff like ferrothorn and mega scizor via hp fire.

[c&c]

change skarmory section to bulky steels and include celesteela which can flamethrower, and if you want, the uncommon but still viable scarftran.

3/3 adrenaline orb good god vertex is jesus, nice analysis

[OVERVIEW]
* Kartana's massive attack Attack stat is its selling point:; (colon) (semicolon) it can destroy even resists beat even those that resist its moves after activating Beast Boost. (the boost is a stat boost, not a Beast Boost)
* Kartana is a ridiculous wallbreaker, primarily due to its STAB moves hitting the two relevant Unaware users in the tier, Quagsire and Clefable, for super-(hyphen)effective (it's "super effective") damage.
* It has excellent coverage in Sacred Sword and can abuse Z-moves Moves to choose its counters.
* On the contrary However, its special bulk is pathetic, dying to making it KOed by resisted hits such as Tapu Koko's Thunderbolt, Latios's Draco Meteor, and Greninja's Hydro Pump.
* Base 109 base Speed, while a great Speed stat, still leaves it outpaced by the likes of Gengar, (comma) and Mega Metagross, (comma) and others for example.
* It forfeits its match-up a good matchup against bulkier or more offensive teams depending on its item.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Leaf Blade
move 3: Smart Strike
move 4: Sacred Sword
item: Steelium Z / Fightinium Z
ability: Beast Boost
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Leaf Blade is Kartana's primary STAB move (STAB is an adjective) and strongest attack with which to beat down Pokemon such as Toxapex and Sableye after a Swords Dance boost.
* Smart Strike has great neutral coverage and it gives Kartana access to Corkscrew Crash if it's holding Steelium Z.
* Sacred Swords rounds off its coverage by hitting Ferrothorn, Celesteela, Scizor, and Magnezone for super-(hyphen)effective or neutral damage.
* Swords Dance is essential for Kartana to break bulkier teams and make sure Kartana's its Z-move nets its kill KO.

Set Details
========

* A Jolly nature is mandatory in order for Kartana to abuse its awkward speed Speed tier to outpace Pokemon such as Terrakion, Keldeo, Garchomp, and Mega Pinsir. Maximum Speed EVs are needed to cover everything as many Pokemon as possible and Speed tie with opposing Kartana.
* Maximum Attack is preferred, (comma) as any investment in bulk is negligible due to its paper-(hyphen)thin Special Defense and already decent Defense.
* Steelium Z is the preferred item, (comma) as it provides Kartana the ability to OHKO its "checks" Pokemon that otherwise check it such as Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard X and Y, and Buzzwole; this is something Life Orb can only dream of accomplishing. In addition to this, Kartana can now one shot it allows Kartana to OHKO Pokemon such as Mega Pinsir and Garchomp, making it Kartana a solid revenge killer to breakers for wallbreakers that can otherwise get out of hand.
* Fightinium Z is an option, however, if your team struggles with Physically Defensive physically defensive (set names are not capitalized) Skarmory, Scizor, and Celesteela, as Kartana can OHKO all three at +2 after Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

* Kartana should set(space)up (setup is an adjective) on Pokemon it naturally forces out, (comma) such as Tapu Fini and Hippowdon. Kartana's typing defensively can let up it set up on Ferrothorn and non-Hidden Power [Fire] Amoonguss too Its defensive typing allows it to also set up on Ferrothorn and non-Hidden Power Fire Amoonguss. (I believe my version to flow better. Also, Hidden Power Type, not [Type])
* Kartana's Z-move Move should be used on Pokemon it cannot otherwise break such as Mega Venusaur and Skarmory, (comma) (depending on its Z-crystal) Crystal. While one may be hesitant to click use it, (comma) expecting a switch out, it is better off not to predict as because Kartana will have Beast Boost backing it up.
* Kartana should be your primary win condition against stall due to it destroying easily beating both Unaware users.
* Kartana's match(space)up against offense is obviously its downfall, so Kartana it should spend its time trying to spam its STAB moves as soon it has an opportunity.

Team Options
========

* Pokemon that can get entry hazards up against stall are great teammates, (comma) as Stealth Rock or and Spikes helps help to wear down Toxapex and hazards also break Dugtrio's sash Focus Sash, meaning it can no longer revenge kill you Kartana. ("you" refers to the human player, never the Pokemon) Greninja, Clefable, Heatran, and Excadrill fill this role.
* Offensive Water-(hyphen)types such as Keldeo, Sharpedo, Manaphy, Gyarados, Volcanion, and the aforementioned Greninja appreciate Kartana luring in and knocking out bulky Grass-types.
* Magnezone traps Celesteela, Scizor, Skarmory, and opposing Magnezone for Kartana to excel at its wallbreaking capabilities without the use of having to use Fightinium Z.
* Kartana appreciates priority users that can mitigate its only decent Speed stat. Ash-(hyphen)Greninja, Weavile, and Zygarde-10% can pick off targets that Kartana weakens.
* Due to its Kartana's low special bulk, Assault Vest Magearna and Tapu Fini are great partners.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Leaf Blade
move 2: Smart Strike
move 3: Sacred Sword
move 4: Night Slash
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Beast Boost
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Leaf Blade is Kartana's strongest attack and it is almost impossible for more offensive offensively inclined teams to switch into after a Beast Boost raises Kartana's Attack.
* Alternatively, Smart Strike may have better match up versus coverage than Leaf Blade due to it nailing Grass- and Dragon-types.
* Sacred Sword has excellent neutral coverage with Kartana's STABs moves, hitting Steel-types such as Magnezone, (comma) while and revenge killing weakened Metagross, (comma) for example.
* Night Slash is the preferred option in the last moveslot, (comma) as it targets Alolan Marowak and Mega Metagross. Even if it does not get the STAB boost, Night Slash can sweep in some scenarios due to Kartana's ridiculous Attack stat.
* Defog is another possible filler final move, as it serves as a panic button for to deal with Spikes and Sticky Web, (comma) which can be detrimental to the overall performance of Kartana's team.

Set Details
========

* A Choice Scarf turns Kartana into a solid cleaner due to it outpacing some of the more faster other high-Speed Choice Scarf users such as Keldeo and Garchomp and revenge killing setup sweepers such as Gyarados and weakened Shift Gear Magearna. A Choice Scarf makes it Kartana almost impossible to revenge kill because of its abnormally high Speed stat for a Scarfer Choice Scarf user and resistance to most priority.
* The most important thing Choice Scarf Kartana achieves is outpacing Pokémon it could not normally, (comma) outpace such as Tapu Koko, Greninja, Latios, and Weavile.
* A Jolly Nature is needed to abuse to best use its awkward Speed tier for a Scarfer Choice Scarf user. Maximum Speed EVs are once again used to Speed tie with opposing Choice Scarf Kartana.
* Maximum Attack makes sure Kartana can excel as a cleaner.
* Beast Boost functions as identically to Moxie in Kartana's case, (comma) allowing to take advantage of fodders KO fodder and revenge killing threats such as Mega Gyarados.

Usage Tips
========

* Kartana should be played carefully, (comma) not recklessly, against frailer teams, (comma) as it can easily win due to its power. Because of this, do not try to play Kartana, the win condition, recklessly.
* Without a Z-crystal Crystal or Swords Dance, Kartana is now dead(space)weight against stall. Luring in Baiting a Knock Off from Mega Sableye gives Kartana the ability to still trash stall teams since its item is removed. This can become more realistic feasible if Skarmory or Celesteela is weakened or removed.
* Since Kartana is locked into a move, try to find alternate alternative ways to deal with threats, (comma) as it can be set(space)up bait for dangerous sweepers such as Mega Charizard X and Rock Polish Genesect, (comma) (might want to replace Genesect with something else) and it can be trapped by Magnezone.

Team Options
========

* Without Swords Dance, Scizor will stop all possibilities of potential for Kartana sweeping to sweep. Magnezone can trap it, but lures such as Hidden Power [Fire] Alakazam and Blaze Kick Genesect also make good teammates.
* Extremely powerful wallbreakers such as Icium Z Kyurem-B and Choice Band Hoopa-U lure in and punch huge holes in the opponent's defenses for Kartana to take advantage of.
* Spikes provide Kartana the residual damage it needs to clean. Spikes Greninja is the only Pokémon that cannot synergize well with it without throwing away offensive momentum.
* That said, Kartana is best fit on more offensive teams, (comma) so taking leads such as Azelf and Garchomp into account during teambuilding is not a bad idea.
* While Kartana is technically a Steel-type Choice Scarf user, do not think of it as anything like Jirachi or even Excadrill. Kartana's pathetic bulk means having a back(space)up Steel-type is almost mandatory. Metagross, Heatran, Magearna, and Bisharp can all provide offensive presence while being a back(space)up Steel-type for the team's overall success.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Life Orb seems like a viable option, but it does not remedy the fact that it is still walled by Pokemon such as Skarmory, Venusaur, and Tangrowth for example. Using a Z-move Move to beat such targets makes Kartana much more threatening, (comma) while not cutting into its longevity for a negligible boost.
* An Adrenaline Orb allows Kartana to take advantage of Landorus-T and proceed to sweep the opponent after a Swords Dance boost.
* Psycho Cut can be used on the Choice Scarf set to deal with weakened Amoonguss and Mega Venusaur, but it is far less more situational than Night Slash and even Defog.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Special Attackers**: The most common set, Swords Dance, has counters based off of on its Z-crystal Crystal, meaning revenge killing Kartana is the best way of dealing with it. Latios, Greninja, and Gengar all easily outpace Kartana and OHKO it with their strongest STAB moves.

**Bulky Steel-types**: Skarmory, Celesteela, Scizor, and Choice Scarf Heatran can switch in with little fear and then force Kartana out or regain momentum. The former three must watch out for All Out Plummeting Pummeling, (I'm now imagining Kartana falling from the sky extremely fast) however.

**Bulky Grass-types**: Amoonguss, Mega Venusaur, and Tangrowth can deal with Kartana assuming they time Kartana's if Corkscrew Crash perfectly isn't available.

**Physically Defensive Volcarona**: If Stealth Rock is kept off the field, Volcarona is the best counter to Kartana in the tier due to it being able to Quiver Dance in Kartana's face safely against Kartana and then Roost off the damage from a +2 Corkscrew Crash. It may also burn Kartana with Flame Body if it decides to go for an attack.

To elaborate:

Pyukumuku is not getting an OU analysis, so like Vertex said above "No."
But why not? I believe it can be bulkier than quagsire physically with some additional support options like soak and baton pass (hello duggy) and while being even more passive than quag that shouldnt hinder it too much on stall. I've talked to some users like orda about it and for the most part everybody thinks its an option to consider, it's already been used in spl as well (with success).

It already is getting an analysis anyway and this is rather off-topic. Let's keep Pyukumuku questions within its analysis.

Ah, my bad. I'm sorry maybe I should look at the date and inform myself before posting =) Anyways, I believe it should be mentioned as well on the list of unaware user kartana beats, especially because it is the last viable unaware user in OU.

EDIT: Also, did anybody consider mentioning rain in team options? It literally beats stall ferrothorn, fini and weakens some other bulky water/grass types & rain beats fire types.

Vertex Nigga.

Alright so QC has decided to axe the Choice Scarf set because it is fucking terrible and despite its above average Speed for a scarfer, fails to revenge most of the prominent sweepers and has very weak STABs/coverage moves which sort of negates its high Attack stat. I'd rather use Scarfers with a similar Speed tier such as Keldeo or Terrakion. Just throw it in OO.

Also slash Fightinium Z before Steelium, as it's more useful in the current meta as a wallbreaker that can bust through Skarm, Celesteela, and Scizor. Smart Strike still does enough to the fat Grasses that it pressures them and forces them to stay healthy to take it on properly, while Skarm, Celesteela, and Sciz usually don't give a damn. Also, phys def Celesteela has seen some usage as of recently for Mega Meta, and Corkscrew Crash has even more issues breaking through that too.

Shouldn't it be super effective (with a space) on the Sacred Sword bullet in moves? Also, you're missing a space after a period in the first usage tips bullet.

Also:

The Choice Scarf set was removed.
