The 1v1 council has voted to quickban Terapagos from SV 1v1. In the few days since the release of DLC2, Terapagos has dominated the metagame, easily defeating common top Pokemon such as (but not limited to) Hoopa, Cinderace, Necrozma, Meloetta, Cresselia, and Regidrago. Unlike Dragonite that is doubly weak to ice, Terapagos resists everything, making this Pokemon impossible to ohko (except for Hawlucha LOL). Additionally, Terapagos' great defensive profile of 95/110/110 allows it to bulk attacks, such as Haxorus Close Combat, even without its ability. To make use of its insane defensive power, the menacing Testudine has access to STAB Judgment (Tera Starstorm), insane physical and special coverage moves, including Bug Buzz to bypass Substitute, Calm Mind for setup, and even Toxic. Between Choice Specs, Choice Band, Choice Scarf, Toxic stall, and Calm Mind setup, not including other more niche sets, Terapagos beats nearly every Pokemon in the tier.

DripLegend: the ability is disgusting and let’s it beat a ton of mons without needing any or all evs, and the options for counter play are really limited, especially since it can tech most if not all of them
LittEleven: higher power level than other mons here, bulky and has no real answers in the tier
delemon: nothing beats it consistently
clerica: this guy has zero counters and requires zero optimization to beat the entire tier
RTM: Terapagos has very few counters, let alone full counters and has an extremely wide mu spread. It's just a higher power level than the rest of the tier due to its extremely good stats and possibly the greatest defensive ability besides mimikyus disguise, as well as an extremely large movepool consisting of all the special 90 power moves and a 120 power no drawback stab attack. Due to these factors, terapagos is extremely restricting when building and unhealthily warps the metagame around itself.
