INCINEROAR

[OVERVIEW]

*Incineroar is not the best Fire-type around but he has some nice options, and is a really good bulky Sweeper under Trick Room. When Incineroar's HA is released, Incineroar will be much better because his HA Intimidate is one of the best abilitys in Doubles.

*Incineroar has acces to 2 very nice moves: Fake Out and U-Turn, Fake Out can prevent an opponent one turn from moving and a slow U-Turn can gain you some nice momentum.

*Use Incineroar only in combination with a Trick Room Setter because outside of Trick Room Incineroar is not doing much work!

*Incineroar has concurrention from Alolan Marowak and Torkoal as Fire-types used in Trick Room. On most teams Alolan Marowak will be better and Torkoal will be a better choice when it is a Sun team.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

*Flare Blitz is our fire STAB move of choice, it OHKO's Kartana and Celesteela 2 very common Pokémon, and does massive damage against Pokémon that dont resist it.
*Darkest Lariat is our Dark type move of choice and a second STAB move, it OHKO's Drifblim wich is pretty common and negates stat changes wich can be handy sometimes.
*Fake Out is our 3d move and is preety good. Incineroar is slow so Fake Out is nice to have a forme of priority. It also supports your team because it can prevent a Pokémon from moving one turn, wich is really nice and supports your team well.
* Our 4th move is U-Turn. U-Turn is nice to gain yourself some momentum by switching in a frail Pokémon freely because Incineroar is slow!

Set Details
========

*Assault Vest is our Item of choice because we want to be very bulky at the Special side!
*252 HP and 4 SpD EVS to max out our bulk, 252 Atk EVS and an Adamant nature to do as much damage possible!

*Blaze is the ability of choice until Intimidate gets released!

*Blaze's effect is this: When HP is below 1/3rd its maximum, power of Fire-type moves is increased by 50%.
This can be nice because Incineroar is bulky, but dont expect it to do much every battle.

Usage Tips
========

*Incineroar is a slow but bulky Pokémon so use it to switch-in into not very-effective attacks.

*Try to support Incineroar with Trick Room or Tailwind because Incineroar is slow and its damage output is not super-impressive!

*Look out for Garchomp because it can easily OHKO you and you can do nothing back!

*Against Tapu Fini Incineroar can do nothing so play around that by switching-out!

Team Options
========

*A Trick Room Setter like Porygon2 is very nice especially on the first listed set because Incineroar is so slow. (Mimikyu and Oranguru can also set-up Trick Room)
*A switch-in for Tapu Fini and Primarina is very nice because the Pokémon completely wall Incineroar! (Example: Tapu Koko)
*A Flying type or a Pokémon with Levitate can be nice to switch into Garchomp!
*A Pokémon that provides from a slow U-Turn can like Incineroar! (Examples: Pheromosa and Mimikyu)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========

*Incinium Z can also be used on this set to fire off Incineroar's signature Z move: Malicious Moonsault!

*You can also use a brave nature and 0 Spe IVS to be as slow as possible!

*You can replace U-Turn with Earthquake when you dont need it.

*Snarl is also an option: It supports your team by lowering both opponents Pokémon their SpA by one stage and because it does (little) damage you can still use it with Assault Vest as Held Item.

Checks and Counters
========

*Tapu Fini is the best Incineroar counter around, it resists both Incineroar's STAB moves and is not super-effectively hit by any coverage move!

*Garchomp: Garchomp resists Incineroar's Flare Blitz, is bulky enough to live Darkest Lariat, outspeeds and can OHKO Incineroar with Earthquake!

*Arcanine: Arcanine can easily check Incineroar, it can easiliy switch-in on him and OHKO back with a Choice Banded Close Combat!

*Araquanid: Araquanid outspeeds Incineroar under Trick Room and can OHKO Incineroar with a Water Bubble boosted Liquidation!

  • Put your analysis through a spell checker!
  • Have a space after each point's asterisk.
  • For numbers under 10 write them out in full (one/first not 1/1st).
  • When writing EVs, use the Showdown format:
    • X HP / X Atk / X Def / X SpA / X SpD / X Spe
Overview
  • Incineroar is the Fire starter from the Alola Region and one of the few Fire-types allowed in VGC'17
    - Remove the highlighted. It isn't relevant to Incineroar's competitive viability.
  • Incineroar's best moves are...
    - Remove this list. It's unneccesary since they're already on the set or Other Options.
  • Mention that Incineroar faces competition from Alolan Marowak and Torkoal as Trick Room Fire-types if Fake Out is unneeded.
Set 1
Set Details 1
  • Talk about what Blaze actually does.
Usage Tips & Team Options 1
  • Uhh, where are they?
Set 2
  • Remove. Choice Band prevents the use of Fake Out, so it's bad. Non-STAB Earthquake is dubious on a main set, and Outrage should never be used in Doubles.
Other Options
  • Add Snarl and Earthquake
Checks and Counters
  • Bad headers, use these (while expanding the examples):
**Ground-types**: Garchomp, Mudsdale, Krookodile.

**Water-types**: Tapu Fini, Araquanid, Gyarados. (Primarina is very rare, so don't mention it)

**Rock-types**: Gigalith, Nihilego, Aerodactyl.

**Close Combat Arcanine**:

**Psychic Terrain**: Prevents Fake Out.

Was close to giving this a QC Reject, so please implement the above carefully and post when you're done so I can take a second look.
