OU Heat Swap Magearna (QC 1/1) (GP 1/1)

Magearna @ Leftovers
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 248 HP / 28 Def / 232 SpD
IVs: 6 Spe
Calm Nature
- Heart Swap
- Pain Split
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon / Fleur Cannon

Heart Swap Magearna makes for a great way to deter and punish setup from Pokemon it can check like Reuniclus, Clefable, Mega Latias, and opposing Magearna. This set also grants a lot of role compression thanks to its ability to check Psychic- and Fairy-types, be a good Dark-resistant Pokemon, and maintain momentum for more offensive teams with a slow Volt Switch. Unlike the Assault Vest set, this set can consistently do its job well throughout the game thanks to Pain Split and Leftovers keeping it healthy. This set can struggle with Heatran, so Pokemon like Garchomp and Mega Alakazam that can handle it make for good partners, and Magearna can even get them in safely with Volt Switch, which can cover other pivots as well. This Magearna also struggles with Ground-types like Excadrill and Gliscor, so Water-types like Ash-Greninja and especially Rotom-W make for great partners. Ash-Greninja also benefits from Magearna's Volt Switch in most instances, while Rotom-W can form a VoltTurn core with Magearna and has good defensive synergy with it.

While obviously not used as often, Fleur Cannon is pretty good right now because it can punish Pokemon like Garchomp much easier and can also drop the opponent's Special Attack in some circumstances, which can be really nice.

Heart Swap Magearna makes for a great way to deter and punish set-up from Pokemon it can check like Reuniclus, Clefable, Mega Latias, and opposing Magearna. This set also grants a lot of role compression thanks to its ability to check Psychic- and Fairy-types, be a good Dark resist, and maintain momentum for more offensive teams with a slow Volt Switch. Unlike the Assault Vest set, this set can consistently do its job well throughout the game thanks to Pain Split keeping it healthy. I think you should also briefly mention Leftovers, it's pretty useful in letting Magearna check these Pokemon more consistently by mitigating Stealth Rock damage etc. This set can struggle with Heatran, so Pokemon like Garchomp and Mega Alakazam that can handle it make for good partners, Magearna can even get them in safely on the switch with Volt Switch. Volt Switch could probably be stressed a bit more. This Magearna also struggles with Ground-types like Excadrill and Gliscor so Water-types like Ash Greninja and especially Rotom-W make for great partners. Ash Greninja also benefits from Magearna's Volt Switch in most instances while Rotom-W can form a VoltTurn core with Magearna and has good defensive synergy with it.
I was pretty nitpicky, 1/1.
