Ubers Giratina-O

[OVERVIEW]

* Giratina-O is blessed with an effective defensive typing, good bulk, and a decent ability in Levitate, allowing it to check Pokemon like Primal Groudon and Swords Dance Arceus.
* As a result, Giratina-O is one of the best Defog users in the tier, able to escape Gothitelle's Shadow Tag, and immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes
* Giratina-O has good offensive stats, a decent offensive typing, many good hard-hitting moves, and access to status moves like Toxic and Will-O-Wisp to cripple switch-ins, helping it limit how much momentum it gives to the opponent.
* Giratina-O can funtion as a spinblocker for its team to keep up entry hazards.
* The presence of Dark-, Ghost-, and Fairy-types like Yveltal, Arceus-Dark, Marshadow, Lunala, Xerneas, and Arceus-Fairy hurt Giratina-O's defensive utility.
* Giratina-O lacks a reliable form of recovery, making it easily susceptible to chip damage and status ailments like poison.

Moves
========

* Hex is Giratina-O's best move, since it does a great amount of damage to opposing Pokemon if they're afflicted by a status ailment, notably being able to 2HKO specially defensive Necrozma-DM.
* Draco Meteor does a good amount of damage to Pokemon like Primal Groudon, Yveltal, and Arceus-Dark, which can all take Hex with relative ease, even when affected by a status ailment.
* Will-O-Wisp cripples physical attackers like Arceus-Ground, Arceus, Mega Lucario, and Necrozma-DM, which can be very annoying to deal with otherwise, and Will-O-Wisp also powers up the power of Hex once the foe is burned.
* Toxic wears down Pokemon like Primal Groudon, Arceus-Water, Xerneas, and Arceus-Ground, which could prove to be a threat, and it also powers up Hex once it poisons the foe.
* Defog allows Giratina-O to remove entry hazards from the field.
* Thunder Wave cripples Pokemon that might want to try to take advantage of Giratina-O such as Xerneas and Yveltal; however, it can't cripple Primal Groudon and Arceus-Ground, making it an inferior option overall.
* Shadow Sneak can be used over Toxic or Will-O-Wisp to enable Giratina-O to revenge kill weakened Pokemon like Marshadow, Lunala, Deoxys-A, and Mega Gengar.
* If Shadow Sneak is run, Shadow Ball should be used over Hex for better immediate damage, and it isn't overly reliant on status ailments.

Set Details
========

* 252 Defense EVs maximize Giratina-O's physical bulk; maximum HP investment is not necessary because of Giratina-O's naturally good HP stat.
* Maximum Special Attack EVs in conjunction with a Modest nature maximizes Giratina-O's damage output.
* A Rash nature should be used if Shadow Sneak and Shadow Ball are used.
* Griseous Orb is the only item that lets Giratina transform into Giratina-O.

Usage Tips
========

* Switch Giratina-O in on various physical attackers like Primal Groudon, Arceus-Ground, and Arceus to prevent them from doing much damage, but it can't come in for free on Arceus-Ground because defensive sets tend to run Ice Beam.
* Prevent Giratina-O from getting chipped down too much by removing entry hazards. Try to get it in on the turn Stealth Rock setters that it can check like Primal Groudon will try to set up Stealth Rock.
* Giratina-O should be wary of Pokemon known to spread status because a burn or poison will wear it down over time.
* Inflicting Pokemon with a status ailment is useful early-game because Hex relies on status to do any significant sort of damage.
* Whenever Giratina-O is on the field, it has about three plays: using status-inducing moves to wear down the foe, removing hazards with Defog, or firing off an attack to punish Pokemon that might switch in on an expected use of Defog.

Team Options
========

* Status spreaders like Ho-Oh, Zygarde-C, Celesteela, and Arceus-Water are generally good teammates because they let Giratina-O use Hex without as much concern.
* Pokemon like Celesteela, Necrozma-DM, and Ferrothorn make for good teammates because they can check Fairy-types for Giratina-O. Mega Lucario can't defensively check Fairy-types, but it can offensively check them, being able to do great damage to any Fairy-type.
* Fairy-types like Xerneas, Magearna, and Arceus-Fairy can check Dark- and Dragon-types that Giratina-O tends to struggle against. Xerneas and Magearna can also act as clerics.
* Yveltal, Alolan Muk, and Ho-Oh can check Ghost-types for Giratina-O, and in return, Giratina-O can remove Stealth Rock for them and also switch in on Ground-type attacks for Alolan Muk.
* Because Giratina-O already fills the role of a Defog user, it can let other Pokemon that tend to run defensive Defog sets like Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Fairy use a more offensive set.
* Mega Gengar pairs very well with Giratina-O, since it makes for a nice Hex spam core with Giratina-O and can trap Fairy-types to efficiently remove them from the match.
* Gothitelle is able to trap and remove a lot of defensive answers to Giratina-O like Arceus-Water, support Arceus-Ground, defensive Necrozma-DM, and Celesteela, allowing Giratina-O to spam its attacks more freely.

move 4: Dragon Tail

evs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Defog allows Giratina-O to remove entry hazards from the field.
* Shadow Sneak allows Giratina-O to revenge kill weakened Lunala, Marshadow, and Deoxys-A.
* Earthquake can hits Primal Groudon for a good amount of damage and also hits Magearna, which may try to switch in on Dragon Tail to OHKO Giratina-O with Fleur Cannon.
* Shadow Force is a powerful STAB move that can shave off HP from Pokemon like Xerneas and Arceus-Ground, which otherwise completely wall it. However, there is a drawback to using this move; it takes two turns to attack.
* Dragon Tail allows Giratina-O to deter Pokemon like Arceus-Ground and Zygarde-C from setting up.
* Roar is another option besides Dragon Tail to allow Giratina-O to phaze Fairy-types that it would otherwise be setup bait to.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Defense EVs maximize Giratina-O's physical bulk; maximum HP investment is not necessary because of Giratina-O's naturally good HP stat.
* Maximum Attack EVs maximize Giratina-O's damage output.
* Griseous Orb is the only item that allows Giratina to transform into Giratina-O.

Usage Tips
========

* To prevent Giratina-O from getting worn down by entry hazards too much, try to switch it in on Pokemon like Primal Groudon that might try to set up Stealth Rock.
* Use Earthquake whenever Pokemon like Magearna and Mega Tyranitar are predicted to switch in on a predicted Shadow Sneak or Dragon Tail.
* Don't try to phaze foes all the time, since it might give Fairy-types like Xerneas and Arceus-Fairy a free switch to then attack or set up.
* Giratina-O should stay as healthy as possible to pressure foes that it checks more efficiently.
* Giratina-O should be wary of Pokemon that tend to carry status-inducing moves like Will-O-Wisp and Toxic, since they wear it down over time. Will-O-Wisp especially should be watched out for, since it weakens Giratina-O's attacks.
* Shadow Sneak should be used minimally and only to revenge kill weakened Pokemon like Marshadow, Lunala, Mega Gengar, and Deoxys-A.

Team Options
========

* Stealth Rock support from Pokemon like Primal Groudon and Necrozma-DM is very useful with this Giratina-O set, since phazing foes out racks up damage, and they can also check Xerneas, spread status, and beat Steel- and Fairy-types for Giratina-O. In return, Giratina-O provides a good switch-in to Ground-type attacks.
* Pokemon such as Magearna, Xerneas, and Arceus-Fairy are able to switch in on Dark-types, which is extremely valuable considering Giratina-O's weakness to Dark-type attacks. Magearna and Xerneas can also act as clerics to remove status ailments from Giratina-O.
* Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Celesteela, Bronzong, Necrozma-DM, and Mega Scizor are very good teammates for Giratina-O because they can absorb Toxic and check Fairy-types, while Giratina-O can switch into Fire-type attacks for them. Mega Lucario is another decent teammate, although it cannot defensively answer Fairy-types.
* Defensive Yveltal is a good teammate because it can switch in on Dark- and Ghost-types for Giratina-O and wear down Pokemon with Toxic. Choice Scarf Yveltal is also a good team member because it can offensively pressure Ghost-types for Giratina-O and bring it in via U-turn. In return, Giratina-O can keep Stealth Rock off the field to take pressure off Yveltal.
* Gothitelle is able to trap and remove a lot of defensive answers to Giratina-O like Arceus-Water, support Arceus-Ground, defensive Necrozma-DM, and Celesteela, allowing Giratina-O to spam its attacks more freely.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Iron Tail can be used to deal with Fariy-types like Xerneas and Clefable, but it lacks the moveslot to properly fit this on its set.
* Stone Edge allows Giratina-O to OHKO Ho-Oh and do great damage to Yveltal after it has been lured in, but Giratina doesn't have a moveslot to properly fit this on its set either.
* Rest gives Giratina-O a way to recover health.
* Magic Coat makes Giratina-O a good anti-lead against Deoxys-S, preventing it from using Taunt and setting up Stealth Rock or Spikes.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-types like Yveltal, Arceus-Dark, Tyranitar, Darkrai, and Mega Gyarados don't like getting affected by Thunder Wave, Toxic, or Will-O-Wisp, but they are able to take most attacks that Giratina-O may use on them.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types like Xerneas and Arceus-Fairy can easily come in on Giratina-O's Dragon-type STAB moves and can also set up on it; however, they do have to fear status ailments. Magearna can easily come in on any move Giratina-O might want to use on it, although it does have to be wary of Earthquake and switching into a status-inducing move like Thunder Wave or Will-O-Wisp, since it will get 2HKOed by Hex on the switch.

**Ho-Oh**: Ho-Oh does not like to be crippled by Toxic or Thunder Wave, but it can easily come in on any attacking move Giratina-O might use on it, except for Shadow Force and the rather rare Stone Edge.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn don't mind being affected by paralysis, but they must be wary of Hex, since once they are affected by paralysis, Hex can 2HKO them, and they also don't like being crippled by Will-O-Wisp because it greatly reduces the power of their STAB moves.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Dialga, Rayquaza, and Palkia can threaten Giratina-O with their respective STAB moves.

**Ghost-types**: While Ghost-types like Marshadow and Mega Gengar are unable to switch in safely and have to be wary of Shadow Sneak, they can still threaten Giratina-O out with their STAB moves.

**Status**: Poison and burn can wear down Giratina-O quickly because of its lack of reliable recovery.

overview:
- first point: Id reword that to "Giratina-O is one of the best Defog users in the tier thanks to his typing and ability, allowing it to check Primal Groudon ect ect", id also add that his typing makes it able to escape Gothitelle's Shadow Tag
- second point: no need to mention "pdon lacking dclaw" because its not existant, mention "Swords Dance" Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Normal too, add DD Zygarde without Outrage ig
- make a third point where u talk about his offensive abilities, making it not passive and threatening to some teams, talk about his access to status moves.
- fourth point give an example of each type, like "fairy-, dark-, and ghost- types such as xerneas, yveltal, and mega gengar" for example
- add somethingabout its weakness to status in the fiveth point, esp Toxic which is overpresent in the meta

special utility

usage tips:
- first point: remove mence, u dont switch into support arceus ground freely.
- second point: giratina-o isnt meant to check many mons actually, id reword that and say it should be wary of toxic, + merge the two other points with this.
- add that it should spread status, you can developp that more and say it has usually three or four play when its on the field: defog, clicking status to cripple its switchin, or attack with draco/hex.
- id also add that its worthy to trade toxic with pdon in a 1v1 case. Add that gira-o should be played aggresively, as it can give xerneas free setup turn for example.

teamoptions:
- you should make three points, one for fairy checks (dusk mane, celesteela), one for darks/dragon checks (xern, magearna, fairyceus), and one for ghost checks (yveltal, ho-oh), obviously delete the first four points u got cus this covers pretty much everything u said, add that xern and magearna can also work as a cleric, and celesteela / ho oh / defensive yvetal / def DM spread status
- add a point for hex mega gengar, it traps fairies, status'd mons and abuse Hex pretty well, checks ultra necro which is good too
- add that it let arceus run a more offensive sets, such as SD Groundceus or CM Fairyceus i guess.
- mention gothi, how it traps denfeisve ceus, defensive mane, and celesteela for example

physical defog:

teamoptions:
- mention duskmane over groundceus, add how they support gira-o apart from sr (checking xern, spreading toxic, beating steels or fairies ect), and how gira-o support back (ground switchin, clean hazards)
- in steel types mention celesteela ferro and msciz, give a mention to mluke at the end
- delete alola muk point, its irrelevant imo
- delete cleric point, mention that xern and mag get heal bell in the fairy point
- add a point about yvetal, mentionning what scarf does and what defensive does
- mention gothitelle, traps steels ect ect

C&C:

- merge arceus dark with dark-types, mention it after yveltal since its less relevant
- dragontypes: dialga and rayquaza
- mention fat steel, they dont mind gira-o unless twave/wow most of the time

Good work, keep it up!

If you're going to mention Dialga as a check, may as well mention Palkia; it outspeeds and OHKOs with Spacial Rend.

Implemented most of this.

First up - the formatting is weird. When I say "bullet points" wasn't meant to be taken literally - we use asterisks (*) in place of bullet points as that is what the Dex uses to code in bullet points using Markdown.

Switch Toxic and Wisp around in the Utility slashing. Gira-O can hit Primal Groudon for at least half with Draco Meteor anyway.
however it can't come in for free on Arceus-Ground because defensive sets tend to run Toxic.
Toxic is very rare on support Arceus-Ground. It can hit you with Ice Beam though.
Prevent Giratina-O from getting chipped down too much, to prevent Giratina-O from getting worn down too much by removing entry hazards, try and get it in on the turn Stealth Rock setters that it can check like Primal Groudon will try to set up Stealth Rock it should also be wary of Pokemon known to spread status because a burn or poison will wear it down over time.
Should be its own usage tip
Inflicting Pokemon with a status ailment is top priority early-game because it relies on status to do any significant sort of damage.
Only Hex is reliant on this, and I wouldn't say its that high a priority.
Giratina-O should be played very aggresively since it can give Pokemon like Xerneas free set up opportunities if it does not.
What is this supposed to imply?
Pokemon like Celesteela, Mega Lucario, Necrozma-DM, and Bronzong make for good teammates because they can check Fairy-types for Giratina-O.
Ideally you want something that can actually switch into Fairy-types with Giratina-O, Lucario isn't exactly great at this. Bronzong is super sketchy as a mon atm so I'd probably remove it and replace with like... Ferrothorn.

The Physical Defog set should have Earthquake slashed before Shadow Force - it does more in general.

Note Dragon Tail targets like SD Arceus and DD Zygarde.

Usage Tips for Physical Defog needs some extra pointers.

Stone Edge and Rest can be added to Other Options.

**Dark-types**: Dark-types like Yveltal, Arceus-Dark, Tyranitar, and Mega Gyarados don't like getting affected by a Thunder Wave, Toxic, or Will-O-Wisp, they are able to take all attacks that Giratina-O could use on them.
I don't think Yveltal or Gyarados take Draco Meteor well at all.

Earthquake won't be rare as its 1st slash on the 2nd set, reword the part in "Fairy-types" that mentions this. Magearna is also 2HKOd by a boosted Hex and Giratina-O can actually live a Fleur Cannon if it really wants to, so Magearna can lose if it switches into Will-O-Wisp due to being slower. Xerneas and Arceus-Fairy don't really have this problem.
**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn don't mind being afflicted by a burn or paralysis
If either of these mons get burned they are much easier to handle. Paralysis is annoying but workable, but in any case status moves can allow Gira-O to beat these mons easily.
**Ghost-types**: While Ghost-types like Marshadow and Mega Gengar are unable to switch in safely they can threaten Giratina-O out with their STAB moves.
Shadow Sneak is common enough to the point that these mons take a huge risk attempting to fight Giratina-O, especially Gengar. Note this.

I'll take another look after all these changes.

* Giratina-O should be played very aggresively, for example it can give Xerneas a free set up opportunity if it does Defog on a certain turn that Xerneas is bound to come in on.
This still doesn't explain what playing "very aggressively" is supposed to mean. Is it hard switching into something and forcing the opponent to react to it? Is it attacking rather than Defogging most of the time? (hint: it depends on the game and team around Giratina-O)
* Primal Groudon is the best Pokemon in the tier, crippling it with Toxic from Giratina-O is always worth it, even if Primal Groudon can poison Giratina-O back.
The bolded part isn't necessary. This also only applies when running Toxic, which is 2nd slash and should be specified.
* Defensive Yveltal is a good teammate because it can switch in on Dark- and Ghost-types for Giratina-O and can wear down Pokemon with Toxic, it can also bring in Giratina-O via U-turn
Defensive Yveltal doesn't use U-turn. Only choiced sets do in most cases.

Magic Coat can also go into OO. Ho-Oh should be added to C&C.
**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn don't mind being affected by a burn
This still wasn't fixed - burn is very crippling to Celesteela and Ferrothorn because now their STAB moves will bounce off their targets.

I would give Giratina-O 30IVs in Speed for the 2 sets to always move after Defensive Stealth Rock Primal Groudon. This allows it to Defog rocks away before you succumb to Toxic which most Defensive ones carries, this applies to Giratina-A as well. I'm no QC staff or asking you all to agree, just wanna help out and share ideas from my experience even if it means a little.

* Giratina-O is blessed with effective defensive typing, good bulk, and a decent ability in Levitate, allowing it to check Pokemon like Primal Groudon and Swords Dance Arceus
* As a result Giratina-O is one of the best Defog users in the tier, is able to escape Gothitelle, and is immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes
* Giratina-O has good offensive stats, a decent offensive typing, many good hard hitting moves, and access to status moves like Toxic and Will-O-Wisp to cripple switch ins, helping it to limit how much momentum it gives to the opponent
* Giratina-O can funtion as a spinblocker for its team to keep up hazards
* The presence of Dark-, Ghost-, and Fairy-types like Yveltal, Arceus-Dark, Marshadow, Lunala, Xerneas, and Arceus-Fairy hurt Giratina-O's defensive utility
* Giratina-O lacks a reliable form of recovery, making it easily suspectible to chip damage and status ailments like poison

Mention use of 30 Speed IVs in set details in regards to the point made by Ray713

In C&C add Darkrai to "Dark-types". Make "status" the final point in C&C.

Implement these and I will stamp.

Implemented.

I talked with Hootie (C&C head) and it was decided that using 30 Speed IVs on Giratina-O falls under a "speed creep" argument, but in reverse. If Groudon wants to, it can also lower its IVs to make this optimization irrelevant. Groudon doing such a thing probably isn't the best idea in practice, but we should close that door entirely and leave these IV optimizations up to the players themselves. I don't think its that effective to run 30 IVs without also using a -Speed nature in the first place, as many SR Groudons are -Speed at the moment, whether it be Quiet with Overheat or Sassy with Lava Plume (rarer). Remove it and the tips that came with it.

* Maximum Special Attack EVs in conjunction with a Modest nature maximizes Giratina-O's damage output.
* A Rash nature should be used if Shadow Sneak and Shadow Ball are to be used.
* Griseous Orb is the only item that lets Giratina transform in to Giratina-O.

Usage Tips
========

* Switch Giratina-O in on various physical attackers like Primal Groudon, Arceus-Ground, and Arceus to prevent them from doing much, however though it can't come in for free on Arceus-Ground because defensive sets tend to run Ice Beam.
* Prevent Giratina-O from getting chipped down too much,(RC) to prevent Giratina-O from getting worn down too much (literally says the same thing as before) by removing entry hazards,(RC).(period) Try and to get it in on the turn Stealth Rock setters that it can check like Primal Groudon will try to set up Stealth Rock.
* Giratina-O should be wary of Pokemon known to spread status because a burn or poison will wear it down over time.
* Inflicting Pokemon with a status ailment is useful early-game because Hex relies on status to do any significant sort of damage.
* Whenever Giratina-O is on the field it has about 3 three plays,(RC):(colon) using status-(AH)inducing moves to wear down the opponent, remove removing hazards with Defog, or fire firing off an attack to punish Pokemon that might switch in on an expected use of Defog.

Team Options
========

Mega Lucario can't defensively check Fairy-types, however but it can offensively check them, being able to do great damage to any Fairy-type.
* Fairy-types like Xerneas, Magearna, and Arceus-Fairy can check Dark- and Dragon-types which that Giratina-O tends to struggle against,(RC).(period) Xerneas and Magearna can also act as clerics.
* Yveltal, Alolan Muk, and Ho-Oh can check Ghost-types for Giratina-O, and in return,(AC) Giratina-O can remove Stealth Rock for them,(RC) it can and also switch in on Ground-type attacks for Alolan Muk.
* Because Giratina-O already fills the role of a role as Defog user,(AC) it can let other Pokemon that tend to run defensive Defog sets like Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Fairy use a more offensive set.
* Mega Gengar pairs very well with Giratina-O,(AC) since it makes for a nice Hex spam core with Giratina-O and can trap Fairy-types to efficiently remove them from the match.
* Gothitelle is able to trap and remove a lot of defensive answers to Giratina-O like Arceus-Water, support Arceus-Ground, defensive Necrozma-DM, and Celesteela, allowing Giratina-O to spam its attacks more freely.

* Shadow Force is a powerful STAB move that can shave off HP from Pokemon like Xerneas and Arceus-Ground which it'd otherwise completely be walled bywall it. However,(AC) there is however a draw back drawback to using this move; it takes 2 two turns to attack.
* Dragon Tail allows Giratina-O to deter Pokemon like Arceus-Ground and Zygarde-C from setting up.

* Giratina-O should be wary of Pokemon that tend to carry status-(AH)inducing moves like Will-O-Wisp or and Toxic, since they wear it down over time,(RC).(period) Will-O-Wisp in especial especially should be watched out for,(AC) very carefully since it weakens any of Giratina-O's attacks.

Mega Lucario is another decent teammate, though however,(RC) it cannot defensively answer Fairy-types.

* Iron Tail can be used to deal with Fariy-types like Xerneas and Clefable, however but (making "however" correct here would be more awkward than just saying "but")it lacks the move slot moveslot to properly fit this on its set.
* Stone Edge allows Giratina-O to OHKO Ho-Oh and lure in Yveltal to do great damage to Yveltal after it has been lured in. (Giratina-O is the lure, not Stone Edge)
* Rest gives Giratina-O a way to recover health.
* Magic Coat makes Giratina-O a good anti-lead against Deoxys-S, preventing it from using Taunt and setting up Stealth Rock or Spikes.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-types like Yveltal, Arceus-Dark, Tyranitar, Darkrai, and Mega Gyarados don't like getting affected by a Thunder Wave, Toxic, or Will-O-Wisp, however but they are able to take most attacks that Giratina-O may use on them.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types like Xerneas and Arceus-Fairy can easily come in on Giratina-O's Dragon STAB moves but and can also set up on it,(RC);(SC) however,(AC) they do have to fear status ailments. Magearna can easily come in on any move Giratina-O might want to use at it, however though it does have to be wary of Earthquake,(RC) it should also be wary of and switching in to into a status-(AH)inducing move like Thunder Wave or Will-O-Wisp,(AC) since next time Magearna might want to switch in while being affected by one of these status ailments it will get 2HKOed by Hex on the switch.

**Ho-Oh**: Ho-Oh does not like to be crippled by Toxic or Thunder Wave, however,(RC) but it can easily come in on any attacking move Giratina-O might use on it, except for Shadow Force and the rather rare Stone Edge.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn don't mind being affected by a paralysis, however but they must be wary of Hex, since once they are affected by a paralysis Hex can 2HKO them, and they also don't like being crippled by Will-O-Wisp since this because it greatly reduces the power output of their STAB moves. (Either say "power" or "damage output)

**Status**: Poison and burn can wear down Giratina-O fast because of its lack of reliable recovery.

* Toxic wears down Pokemon like Primal Groudon, Arceus-Water, Xerneas, and Arceus-Ground,which could prove to be a threat, and it also powers up Hex once it poisons the opponent.
* Defog allows Giratina-O to remove entry hazards from the field.

===================

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types like Xerneas and Arceus-Fairy can easily come in on Giratina-O's Dragon STAB moves and can also set up on it; however, they do have to fear status ailments. Magearna can easily come in on any move Giratina-O might want to use at it, although it does have to be wary of Earthquake and switching into a status-inducing move like Thunder Wave or Will-O-Wisp, since it will get 2HKOed by Hex on the switch.

**Ho-Oh**: Ho-Oh does not like to be crippled by Toxic or Thunder Wave, but it can easily come in on any attacking move Giratina-O might use on it, except for Shadow Force and the rather rare Stone Edge.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn don't mind being affected by paralysis, but they must be wary of Hex, since once they are affected by paralysis Hex can 2HKO them, and they also don't like being crippled by Will-O-Wisp because it greatly reduces the power of their STAB moves.

**Status**: Poison and burn can wear down Giratina-O fast because of its lack of reliable recovery.

* Giratina-O lacks a reliable form of recovery, making it easily suspectible susceptible to chip damage and status ailments like poison.

Moves
========

* Hex is Giratina-O's best move, (add space) since it does a great amount of damage to opposing Pokemon if they're affected afflicted by a status ailment, notably being able to 2HKO specially defensive Necrozma-DM.
* Draco Meteor does a good amount of damage to Pokemon like Primal Groudon, Yveltal, and Arceus-Dark, which can all take Hex with relative ease, even when affected by a status ailment.
* Will-O-Wisp cripples physical attackers like Arceus-Ground, Arceus, Mega Lucario, and Necrozma-DM, (add space) which can be very annoying to deal with otherwise, and Will-O-Wisp also powers up the power of Hex once the opponent foe is burned.
* Toxic wears down Pokemon like Primal Groudon, Arceus-Water, Xerneas, and Arceus-Ground, (add space) which could prove to be a threat, and it also powers up Hex once it poisons the opponent foe. (opponent refers to the human battler, while the foe refers to the pokemon)
* If Shadow Sneak is to be ran run, Shadow Ball should be used over Hex for better immediate damage, (add space) and it isn't overly reliant on status ailments.

Set Details
========

* Maximum 252 Defense EVs maximize maximizes (keep maximize, EVs are plural so subject verb agreement) Giratina-O's physical bulk; maximum HP investment is not necessary because of Giratina-O's naturally good HP stat.
* Maximum Special Attack EVs in conjunction with a Modest nature maximizes Giratina-O's damage output.
* A Rash nature should be used if Shadow Sneak and Shadow Ball are to be used.
* Griseous Orb is the only item that lets Giratina transform in to into Giratina-O.

Usage Tips
========

* Switch Giratina-O in on various physical attackers like Primal Groudon, Arceus-Ground, and Arceus to prevent them from doing much damage, but although it can't come in for free on Arceus-Ground because defensive sets tend to run Ice Beam.
* Whenever Giratina-O is on the field, (AC) it has about three plays: using status-inducing moves to wear down the opponent foe, removing hazards with Defog, or firing off an attack to punish Pokemon that might switch in on an expected use of Defog.

Team Options
========

* Yveltal, Alolan Muk, and Ho-Oh can check Ghost-types for Giratina-O, and in return, (space) Giratina-O can remove Stealth Rock for them and also switch in on Ground-type attacks for Alolan Muk.
* Because Giratina-O already fills the role of a Defog user, (add space) it can let other Pokemon that tend to run defensive Defog sets like Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Fairy use a more offensive set.
* Mega Gengar pairs very well with Giratina-O, (add space) since it makes for a nice Hex spam core with Giratina-O and can trap Fairy-types to efficiently remove them from the match.
* Gothitelle is able to trap and remove a lot of defensive answers to Giratina-O like Arceus-Water, support Arceus-Ground, defensive Necrozma-DM, and Celesteela, allowing Giratina-O to spam its attacks more freely.

* Defog allows Giratina-O to remove entry hazards from the field.
* Shadow Sneak allows Giratina-O to revenge kill weakened Lunala, Marshadow, and Deoxys-A.
* Earthquake can hits Primal Groudon for a good amount of damage and also hits Magearna, (add space) which may try to switch in on Dragon Tail to OHKO Giratina-O with Fleur Cannon.
* Shadow Force is a powerful STAB move that can shave off HP from Pokemon like Xerneas and Arceus-Ground, (AC) which otherwise completely wall it.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Defense EVs maximize Giratina-O's physical bulk; maximum HP investment is not necessary because of Giratina-O's naturally good HP stat.
* Maximum Attack EVs maximize Giratina-O's damage output.
* Griseous Orb is the only item that allows Giratina to transform in to into Giratina-O.

Usage Tips
========

* Don't try to phaze foes all the time, (space) since it might give Fairy-types like Xerneas and Arceus-Fairy a free switch to then attack or set up.
* Giratina-O should keep as much health as possible for as long as whatever Pokemon Giratina-O is supposed to check stays present stay as healthy as possible to pressure foes that it checks more efficiently.
* Giratina-O should be wary of Pokemon that tend to carry status-inducing moves like Will-O-Wisp and Toxic, since they wear it down over time. (period) Will-O-Wisp especially should be watched out for, since it weakens Giratina-O's attacks.
* Shadow Sneak should be used minimally and only to revenge kill weakened Pokemon like Marshadow, Lunala, Mega Gengar, and Deoxys-A.

Team Options
========

* Stealth Rock support from Pokemon like Primal Groudon and Necrozma-DM is very useful with this Giratina-O set,(AC) (you forgot to delete this) since (one space, not two) (yeah there's quite a few double spaces in here, be careful) phazing foes out racks up damage, and they can also check Xerneas, spread status, and can beat Steel- and Fairy-types for Giratina-O. In return, Giratina-O provides a good switch-in to Ground-type attacks.
* Pokemon such as Magearna, Xerneas, and Arceus-Fairy are able to switch in on Dark-types,(AC) (you forgot to delete this) which is extremely valuable considering Giratina-O's weakness to Dark-type attacks.
Choice Scarf Yveltal is also a good team member because it can offensively pressure Ghost-types for Giratina-O and bring it in Giratina-O via U-turn. In return, Giratina-O can keep Stealth Rock of off the field to take pressure off Yveltal.

=============

* Iron Tail can be used to deal with Fariy-types like Xerneas and Clefable, but it lacks the moveslot to properly fit this on its set.
* Stone Edge allows Giratina-O to OHKO Ho-Oh and do great damage to Yveltal after it has been lured in. (why is this in oo? is it outclassed?)
* Rest gives Giratina-O a way to recover health.
* Magic Coat makes Giratina-O a good anti-lead against Deoxys-S, preventing it from using Taunt and setting up Stealth Rock or Spikes.
