Battle Spot Eevee [Singles]

[OVERVIEW]

* Extreme Evoboost gives Eevee a niche as a Baton Passer since it is one of the best boosting moves.
* Eevee being frail and slow can make it hard for it to get a boost, meaning that it needs dedicated support to function.
* Building around Eevee makes it that your team has to support it by all means, which can limit which Pokemon you want on a team.
* Eevee is easy to counter because it is very predictable, which means that it's really matchup dependent, as sometimes it can just set up freely, while other times it struggles to maintain a boost without being KOed.
* Eevee can only use Extreme Evoboost once, so it only gets one chance to set up a sweep.
* Even though Eevee has some difficult matchups, Eevee teams can be a viable choice for the ladder, as you just need to be winning more often than you're losing.

Moves
========

* Last Resort can be powered up into Extreme Evoboost thanks to Eevium Z, giving Eevee +2 boosts in all of its stats. Last Resort itself is impossible to use successfully though, as Baton Pass must be used, and Last Resort's effects reset if you switch out.
* Baton Pass is the main draw to using Eevee, as it allows it to pass the stat boosts from Extreme Evoboost to an ally.
* Substitute allows Eevee to avoid status conditions, and its Substitute can be Baton Passed to an ally.
* Protect is good on Trick Room teams to waste Trick Room turns when you don't want it anymore, as well as being good to scout Z-Moves on Pokemon like Mimikyu.
* Stored Power becomes a 220 Base Power move after Extreme Evoboost and is Eevee's primary means of attacking in situations where it needs to attack on its own, such as against Mega Gengar to stop Perish Song or Taunt, against Toxapex to stop Haze and against Mimikyu if you want to break Disguise before your sweeper comes in.

Set Details
========

* 204 Speed EVs and a Timid nature allow Eevee to outspeed everything up to Modest Choice Scarf Tapu Lele in Tailwind after Extreme Evoboost.
* 92 Special Attack allows Eevee to OHKO Toxapex with Stored Power after Extreme Evoboost.
* Eevium Z is mandatory in running Eevee since Extreme Evoboost is its only niche.
* Anticipation is good to scout for Pokemon that carry Fighting-type coverage, such as Sacred Sword Aegislash and Focus Blast Alakazam.

Usage Tips
========

* Speed control is essential when using Eevee, as going first allows Eevee to get boosts before the foe, and potentially allowing it to survive a hit. Tailwind is a huge help against most teams, but against teams with Speed Boost Pokemon such as Blaziken, Trick Room should be used.
* Eevee should be pivoted to be brought in safely, such as from a slow U-turn or via Memento, as its bulk is terrible.
* Eevee can usually set up on defensive Pokemon like Cresselia and Porygon2 due to them not doing much back.
* Eevee is very matchup dependent, so make sure to check the Team Preview to make sure the opponent doesn't have a counter to Eevee, as sometimes it may be better to not bring it if the opponent doesn't have anything that Eevee can set up on, as they can usually force it out or KO it.
* Seeing Eevee in Team Preview usually forces the opponent to prepare for it, so you can use that to your advantage to predict what they're likely to bring - the most important things to watch out for include Mega Gengar, Hippowdon, Toxapex and Primarina, who have access to Taunt, Whirlwind, Haze and Perish Song, respectively. Eevee's teammates should ideally use Taunt on any possible switch ins, as this can be crucial to ensuring a successful sweep with Eevee.
* Eevee becomes a liability after using Baton Pass, so be sure that its teammates can support it and sweep with the boosts it passes.
* Picking the right recipient for Eevee's Baton Pass is essential - against phazers such as Hippowdon, you may want Espeon, as it is immune to phazing moves. However, Clefable might be more helpful against teams where Clefable's bulk might be more suitable, or teams with Curse Mimikyu.

Team Options
========

* Espeon and Clefable can be great recipients of Baton Pass thanks to their access to Stored Power. Espeon in particular also has Magic Bounce, which makes it immune to status, preventing it from getting worn down by Toxic, and phazing moves like Roar and Whirlwind, while Clefable's Magic Guard helps in matchups against Curse Mimikyu, as the Curse gets Baton Passed, which can stop your sweep.
* Strong Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados and Mega Kangaskhan appreciate the boosts Eevee gives, as both of them gain the ability to break through physical walls after a boost - they also can break through Mimikyu's Disguise thanks to Mold Breaker in Mega Gyarados's case and Parental Bond in Mega Kangaskhan's.
* Supporting Pokemon can help Eevee get a Baton Pass off. Whimsicott in particular is a great candidate for this role, as it can use Memento and Taunt, which lets it enable Eevee to set up freely or force a switch from the foe, and prevent Taunt, Perish Song, Haze and Whirlwind from opposing Pokemon, respectively. It also has access to Tailwind to patch up Eevee's poor Speed. Whimsicott can also use Worry Seed to deal with Serperior, as otherwise it can set up easily on Eevee thanks to Contrary Leaf Storm, and can OHKO Eevee even through the Special Defense boosts. Mental Herb Dusknoir is another potential lead, as it gets access to Taunt, Memento, Haze and Trick Room. Trick Room is good against Pokemon with Speed Boost like Blaziken and against Dragon Dance users. Haze in conjunction with Trick Room is useful to remove potential boosts from opponents. Using a lead that is not Whimsicott is useful in certain situations, such as against Dark-types like Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados, which are immune to Whimsicott's Prankster. A useful teammate to have is a Smeargle with Geomancy, Cotton Guard and Taunt holding a Power Herb, as it can help for matchups against Primarina, Politoed, and Milotic. As those are users of Perish Song and Haze that Eevee can't OHKO, Eevee can be swapped for Smeargle to beat these Pokemon.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Due to Eevee only excelling in one role as well as its small movepool, there aren't many other options it can run.
* Yawn can force switches, helping Eevee set up.
* Quick Attack can be useful to break Focus Sashes or pick off a weakened foe that has ended an ally's sweep.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Phazing**: Phazing moves like Roar and Whirlwind from Pokemon such as Hippowdon and Skarmory force Eevee out, leaving it unable to use Extreme Evoboost if it has already been used and making it hard for Eevee to get back on the field due to its poor bulk. Haze from Pokemon such as Milotic and Toxapex can remove Eevee's stat boosts, preventing it from passing them.

**Taunt Users**: Taunt from the likes of Whimsicott, Mega Gengar, and Tapu Fini stops Eevee from using Baton Pass, preventing it from doing its main job and effectively making it dead-weight unless it switches out. However, Taunt will not stop Extreme Evoboost, meaning that Mega Gengar will be forced to switch out due to Eevee's Stored Power.

**Perish Song**: Perish Song from Pokemon such as Primarina, Politoed and Mega Gengar inflict Eevee with Perish Song, effectively putting it and its recipient on a timer, which can end a sweep easily.

**Strong Attackers**: Strong attacks from Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mega Salamence and Z-Moves in general KO Eevee most of the time and prevent it from being able to set up.

**Curse Mimikyu**: Mimikyu can inflict Eevee with Curse, which can put it on a very stiff timer if you didn't bring Clefable.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Mega Blaziken, Breloom, Mega Heracross and Mega Lucario can deal a lot of damage to Eevee due to its bad bulk. Mega Blaziken can outspeed Eevee thanks to Speed Boost, while Breloom can use Spore to incapacitate Eevee or a switch-in. Mega Heracross can also hit through Eevee's Substitute and OHKO it. Finally, Mega Lucario's Close Combat, when coupled with Adaptability, hits extremely hard and will often KO Eevee even after the boost.

I'd suggest double edge over protect and adaptability over anticipation. 99% of the time you're gonna lead with this thing and they'll probably try to setup as well, so i don't really see protect being very useful. Plus double edge could actually be useful in a situation where you can't safely pass off the stats but would rather stay in and deal some damage

Also little thing to note, only use * as your bullet points (also idk about using eviolite at all on eevee since p2 outclasses its very existence lol, there's no other viable set option other than evopass either way)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't Evoboost only raise 5 stats for 2 stages each? In which case Stored power will only yield 220 BP, and outpowered by adaptability boosted Double Edge at 240 BP.

It looks like you were under impression that Evoboost boosts 6 stats, which indeed will make Stored Power 260 BP if it were true.
To tell you the truth I did the same mistake while back haha.

You've asked about this a lot so I'll finally take care of this. We only need two QC checks though, it's tough enough getting that many checks for an analysis here as is. Even though everything is in bullet points though, you still need to make sure everything is a complete sentence. You also don't need spaces between each bullet point, when it gets uploaded it shouldn't be double spaced so that should be fixed.

[OVERVIEW]

* Extreme Evoboost gives it a niche as a Baton Passer since it is one of the best boosting moves Specify "it" as Eevee
* It being frail and slow can make it hard for it to get a boost Clarify that this means it needs dedicated support to function
* Being forced to run Eevium Z, Last Resort and Baton Pass limits other move and Z-Move options for your team
* Easy to counter as it is very predictable I'd note that Eevee is really matchup dependent, sometimes it can just set up freely.
* Can't use Extreme Evoboost after it switches out Clarify why that's bad, namely that it only gets one chance to set up a sweep
* Come Pokemon Bank, more support options such as Raikou and Latias and more receivers such as Mega Charizard X will be available. However, more disruptive Pokemon such as Whirlwind Hippowdon and Taunt Thundurus will also be introduced. Since Bank is out now you should edit this to reflect that better and remove the mention of Bank.

Moves
========

* Last Resort can be powered up into Extreme Evoboost thanks to Eevium Z, giving it +2 boosts in all of its stats. I'd note that Last Resort itself usually won't be used, this is kind of implied but it doesn't hurt to clarify for readers who may be wondering.

* Baton Pass is the main draw to using Eevee, as it allows it to pass on the stats accumulated from Extreme Evoboost and pass it on to an ally.

* Substitute allows Eevee to avoid status conditions, and can be Baton Passed to an ally.

* Finally, Stored Power becomes a 220 BP move after Extreme Evoboost and allows Eevee to get past Mega Gengar. Don't need to say "finally" here, I'd also note that Stored Power is Eevee's primary means of attacking in situations where it needs to attack on its own.

Set Details
========

* 252 Speed and a Timid (remove extra space) nature maximize Eevee's Speed, allowing it to outspeed certain Choice Scarf Pokemon after Extreme Evoboost. I'd specify one or two Pokemon, namely that it outspeeds base 130s.

* 252 HP maximizes Eevee's longetivity. Can probably combine this with the above sentence, also a typo in longevity.

* Eevium Z is mandatory in running Eevee since Extreme Evoboost is its only niche.

* Anticipation is good for warning you about Pokemon that carry Fighting-type coverage, such as Sacred Sword Aegislash and Focus Blast Alakazam.

Usage Tips
========

* Eevee should be pivoted into safely, such as from a slow U-Turn, as its bulk is terrible.

* Eevee can usually set up on defensive Pokemon like Toxapex and Porygon-2 due to them not doing much back to Eevee. Toxapex runs Haze so remove that one, maybe mention something like Cresselia or Ferrothorn instead.

* Make sure to check the Team Preview to make sure the opponent doesn't have a counter to Eevee as it could easily be prevented from getting a Baton Pass to its allies. Also mention that Eevee is very matchup dependent, so sometimes it may be better to not bring it if the opponent doesn't have anything that Eevee can realistically set up on.

I would also mention that Eevee in Team Preview usually forces the opponent to prepare for it, so you can use that to your advantage to predict what they're likely to bring. Also make a point mentioning that Eevee becomes a liability after passing, so be sure that its teammates can support it and sweep with the boosts it passes.

Team Options
========

* Strong Pokemon such as Tapu Lele and Mega Salamence appreciate the boosts Eevee gives, as it gives them a chance to sweep.

Mention Espeon since it is the #1 BP recipient thanks to Stored Power and Magic Bounce. Clefable should also be mentioned for similar reasons, Stored Power and Magic Guard make it difficult to take down.

* Supporting Pokemon can help Eevee get a Baton Pass off. Whimsicott in particular is a great candidate for this role as it can use Memento and Taunt as well as being able to set up Tailwind to patch up Eevee's poor Speed. Alolan Ninetales can help Eevee set up thanks to Aurora Veil. Latios is another good teammate you should mention since it can set up screens and then use Memento to give Eevee and easier time setting up.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Due to Eevee only excelling in one role as well as its small movepool, there isn't many other options it can run.
* Protect can be used to scout the opponent's next move.
* Yawn can force switches, helping Eevee set up.
Mention Quick Attack too, being able to break a Focus Sash or pick off a Focus Sash user that killed a teammate's sweep can be useful.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Buzzwole and Pheromosa can deal a lot of damage to Eevee due to its bad bulk. Mega Blaziken is the premier EeveePass killer since Speed Boost lets it outpace Eevee's boosts, I'd mention that here. Breloom as well can punish an Eevee lead by Sporing the Pokemon that switches in or beating it with Mach Punch.

**Taunt Users**: Taunt from the likes of Whimsicott and Alolan Persian stops Eevee from using Baton Pass and Extreme Evoboost, stopping it from doing its main niche and effectively making it dead-weight unless it switches out. Taunt actually does not prevent Evoboost so remove that unless I'm mistaken, stopping Baton Pass is the big thing anyway.

**Phazing**: Phazing moves like Roar and Whirlwind from Pokemon such as Vaporeon and Skarmory force Eevee out, leaving it unable to use Extreme Evoboost if it has already been used and making it hard for Eevee to get back on the field due to its poor bulk. Mention Haze from Tapu Fini or Toxapex as well.

Make a section for generally powerful attackers, Eevee is not bulky so just strong attacks from stuff like Tapu Lele and Mega Kangaskhan or Z-Moves in general crush Eevee and prevent it from being able to set up.

Not QC but Mega-Kangaskhan and Mega-Gyarados are fantastic recipients, notably because they break majority of physical walls but can also naturally break past mimikyu's disguise, which is fantastic. Gyarados also has the niche of being able to receive the boosts and get off an intimidate, giving it a much better matchup vs the likes of mons like salamence. Kangaskhan also has a niche, being able to break past focus sash once mega evolving. Both these mons are bulky as fuck by default, but the boosts really make them absolutely monstrous.

This is going to sound weird, but Mismagius is actually a rather common Memento Pokemon for use with Eevee teams. This is because it has access to Will-O-Wisp, which can further help Eevee set up. Taunt is handy too for stoping users of Haze if they are lead with.

Haze from Pokemon such as Tapu Fini and Toxapex can remove Eevee's stat boosts, preventing it from setting up again. I'd change the Vaporeon mention to Hippowdon, whose a much more common threat.

**Strong Attackers**: Strong attacks from Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mega Salamence or Z-Moves in general KO Eevee most of the time and prevent it from being able to set up.

**Taunt Users**: Taunt from the likes of Whimsicott and Alolan Persian stops Eevee from using Baton Pass, stopping it from doing its main niche and effectively making it dead-weight unless it switches out. I'd mention Mega Gengar and Tapu Fini over Alolan Persian, whose really uncommon. Note though that Taunt won't stop Extreme Evo Boost, which isn't great for Mega Gengar because of Stored Power.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Mega Blaziken and Breloom can deal a lot of damage to Eevee due to its bad bulk. Mega Blaziken can outspeed Eevee thanks to Speed Boost, while Breloom can Spore Eevee if it leads, or Spore a switch-in. I'd throw in a Mega Heracross mention too since that's pretty common.
I think you got the basic stuff about Eevee down though, I'll stamp this once you implement those checks!

* Extreme Evoboost gives Eevee a niche as a Baton Passer since it is one of the best boosting moves.
* It Eevee being frail and slow can make it hard for it to get a boost, meaning that it needs dedicated support to function.
* Being forced to run Eevium Z, Last Resort, (comma) and Baton Pass limits teambuilding and Z-Move options for your team.
* Eevee is easy to counter as because it is very predictable, which means that it's really matchup dependent, as sometimes it can just set up freely, while other times it struggles to maintain a boost without being forced to switch out.
* It Eevee can only use Extreme Evoboost once, so it only gets one chance to set up a sweep.

Moves
========

* Last Resort can be powered up into Extreme Evoboost thanks to Eevium Z, giving it Eevee +2 boosts in all of its stats. Last Resort itself usually won't be used, however. (isn't it impossible to use Last Resort successfully because in order to do so, Eevee has to Baton Pass?)
* Baton Pass is the main draw to using Eevee, as it allows it to pass on the stat boosts stats accumulated from Extreme Evoboost and pass it on to an ally.
* Substitute allows Eevee to avoid status conditions, and its Substitute can be Baton Passed to an ally.
* Stored Power becomes a 220 BP Base Power move after Extreme Evoboost and is Eevee's primary means of attacking in situations where it needs to attack on its own.

Set Details
========

* 252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature maximize Eevee's Speed, allowing it to outspeed certain Choice Scarf Pokemon, (give examples?) as well as base 130s such as Tapu Koko and Mega Gengar after Extreme Evoboost. (dash to period) This is particularly important because Tapu Koko and Mega Gengar sometimes run Taunt, which would prevent you Eevee from using Baton Pass. 252 HP maximizes EVs maximize Eevee's longevity.
* Eevium Z is mandatory in running Eevee since Extreme Evoboost is its only niche.
* Anticipation is good to scout for Pokemon that carry Fighting-type coverage, such as Sacred Sword Aegislash and Focus Blast Alakazam.

Usage Tips
========

* Eevee should be pivoted into to be brought in safely, such as from a slow U-Turn U-turn or via Memento, as its bulk is terrible.
* Eevee can usually set up on defensive Pokemon like Cresselia and Porygon-2 Porygon2 due to them not doing much back to Eevee. (you can delete this)
* Eevee is very matchup dependant, dependent, so make sure to check the Team Preview to make sure the opponent doesn't have a counter to Eevee, as sometimes it may be better to not bring it if the opponent doesn't have anything that Eevee can set up on. (the first part of this talks about checking Team Preview for Eevee counters, and the second talks about things it can't set up on. are those the same? you might want to clarify)
* Seeing Eevee in Team Preview usually forces the opponent to prepare for it, so you can use that to your advantage to predict what they're likely to bring.
* Eevee becomes a liability after using Baton Pass, so be sure that its teammates can support it and sweep with the boosts it passes.

Team Options (should these be broken up into multiple bullet points?)
========

* Strong Pokemon such as Mega Gyarados and Mega Kangaskhan appreciate the boosts Eevee gives, as both of them have gain the ability to break through physical walls after a boost. (comma to period, this is quite a long sentence) and They also can break through Mimikyu's Disguise thanks to Mold Breaker in Mega Gyarados's case, (remove comma) and Parental Bond in Mega Kangaskhan's. Espeon and Clefable can also be great recipients of Baton Pass thanks to their access to (optional, for clarity) Stored Power. Espeon in particular also has Magic Bounce, making which makes it immune to status, preventing it from getting worn down by Toxic, as well as being immune to and phazing moves like Roar and Whirlwind.
* Supporting Pokemon can help Eevee get a Baton Pass off. Whimsicott in particular is a great candidate for this role, (comma) as it can use Memento and Taunt (maybe elaborate on what these moves do for Eevee in particular) as well as being able to set up Tailwind to patch up Eevee's poor Speed. Alolan Ninetales can help Eevee set up thanks to Aurora Veil. Latios can set up Reflect and Light Screen, and it can use Memento to give Eevee a free switch, (remove comma) while also lowering the opponent's foe's ("opponent" for the human player only) offenses. Finally, Mismagius can use Will-O-Wisp to cripple physical attackers, can prevent Taunt phazing moves like Roar, Whirlwind and Haze with Taunt, and can also use Memento effectively.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Due to Eevee only excelling in one role as well as its small movepool, there aren't many other options it can run.
* Yawn can force switches, helping Eevee set up.
* Quick Attack can be useful as it can to break Focus Sashes, as well as or pick off a weakened foe who that has ended an allies ally's sweep.
* Protect can be used to scout the opponent's next move, but Eevee finds it hard to find room for it (rephrase one of these "find"s) on the main set.

Checks and Counters
===================

Haze from Pokemon such as Tapu Fini and Toxapex can remove Eevee's stat boosts, preventing it from passing them. setting up again. (it's not Haze itself that prevents Eevee from setting up, it's the fact that Extreme Evoboost is a Z-Move)

**Strong Attackers**: Strong attacks from Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mega Salamence or and Z-Moves in general KO Eevee most of the time and prevent it from being able to set up.

**Taunt Users**: Taunt from the likes of Whimsicott, Mega Gengar, (comma) and Tapu Fini stops Eevee from using Baton Pass, stopping preventing it from doing its main niche job and effectively making it dead-weight unless it switches out. However, Taunt will not stop Extreme Evoboost, meaning that Mega Gengar will be forced to switch out due to Eevee's Stored Power.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Mega Blaziken, Breloom, (comma) and Mega Heracross can deal a lot of damage to Eevee due to its bad bulk. Mega Blaziken can outspeed Eevee thanks to Speed Boost, while Breloom can use Spore to incapacitate lead Eevee or a switch-in. if it leads, or Spore a switch-in. (is this what you mean?) Mega Heracross can also hit through Eevee's Substitute, (remove comma) and OHKO it.
Implemented. This is Done :)

[OVERVIEW]

* Extreme Evoboost gives Eevee a niche as a Baton Passer since it is one of the best boosting moves.
* Eevee being frail and slow can make it hard for it to get a boost, meaning that it needs dedicated support to function.
* Being forced to run Eevium Z, Last Resort, and Baton Pass limits teambuilding and Z-Move options for your team. I don't really like or understand this sentence. I would reword it to say that your team is revolving around Eevee basically. It doesn't limit your teambuilding like you say because your teambuild is going to be finding ways to make this pokemon work.
* Eevee is easy to counter because it is very predictable, which means that it's really matchup dependent, as sometimes it can just set up freely, while other times it struggles to maintain a boost without being forced to switch out. Instead of saying forced to switch out, say something like it just gets KOed. Cause theres really not any existing good eevee teams where you can viably switch around your eevee and have it come back in later. You're going all in or its losing.
* Eevee can only use Extreme Evoboost once, so it only gets one chance to set up a sweep.

Mention that even though this has some un-winable matchups, eevee teams can be a viable ladder pick because you just need to be winning more often than you're losing. So if you can play the team to a point where you're winning a larger percentage of matchups than you're losing, you're in good shape.

* Stored Power becomes a 220 Base Power move after Extreme Evoboost and is Eevee's primary means of attacking in situations where it needs to attack on its own. -> Don't be vague. Those situations are exactly: vs. Gengar to stop Perish, vs. Toxapex to stop Haze, and vs. Mimikyu if you want to break disguise before your sweeper comes in.

Protect is used to remove trick room turns when you don't want it anymore. You want eevee in trick room before it boosts, but after it boosts and you send in your sweeper you want the fewest turns possible. Also scouts/blocks z moves from things like mimikyu. Even if you dont have TR on your team protect is actually p good for z moves.

* 252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature maximize Eevee's Speed, allowing it to outspeed certain Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Tapu Lele and Landorus-Therian, as well as base 130s such as Tapu Koko and Mega Gengar after Extreme Evoboost - this is particularly important because Tapu Koko and Mega Gengar sometimes run Taunt, which would prevent Eevee from using Baton Pass. 252 HP EVs maximize Eevee's longevity.
* Eevium Z is mandatory in running Eevee since Extreme Evoboost is its only niche.
* Anticipation is good to scout for Pokemon that carry Fighting-type coverage, such as Sacred Sword Aegislash and Focus Blast Alakazam.

EV Spread needs 92 SpA. This allows it to OHKO Toxapex with Stored Power as it switches in before it Hazes. The rest of the EVs have a decent amount of options but this is what I like 212 HP / 92 SpA / 204 Spe The speed allows it to outspeed up to Modest Scarf Lele in Tailwind. Make you sure you mention the speed benchmark is for Tailwind/+2 boosts. The rest of the EVs are dumped into HP.

Usage Tips
========

MENTION SPEED CONTROL. This is the most important thing ever. Your eevee ideally should be going first so it can get boosts before the other mon attacks and not die. Getting speed control up is your #1 priority in most matches. Use tailwind vs most teams. Use trick room vs teams with speed boosting mons such as Blaziken.
* Eevee should be pivoted into to be brought in safely, such as from a slow U-turn or via Memento, as its bulk is terrible.
* Seeing Eevee in Team Preview usually forces the opponent to prepare for it, so you can use that to your advantage to predict what they're likely to bring. Tell them the important things to watch out for, those include: Mega Gengar(Perish Song), Hippowdon(Whirlwind), Toxapex(Haze), Primarina(Perish Song)
* Eevee becomes a liability after using Baton Pass, so be sure that its teammates can support it and sweep with the boosts it passes.

Ok so this next thing im bout to add is actually about whats in bold right above, some of the best counters to eevee. When you see Mega Gengar, Hippowdon, or Toxapex at team preview, your only goal is making sure none of those Pokemon come in without being Taunted. If these pokemon aren't in front of Whimsicott at any point while taunted, you DO NOT memento. You are taunting 100%, because if any of those mons switch in on a Memento you lose the game. Once they are against Whimsicott and Taunted, then you can safely memento and get Eevee in. Even if you're against a mon that is about to kill your lead without getting a memento up, it's more important to Taunt a possible switch to one of these 3 mons. As long as speed control is up its much safer to do this. It doesn't matter if they switch in the turn you boost because you then follow that up with a Stored Power OHKO on Gengar/Toxapex, or a baton pass into espeon against Hippowdon. I'm sure this can be worded way more simply than I have here, and i hope some other QC guys or GP guys can help with this. But this is a very crucial point that separates playing good with Eevee and playing bad with Eevee.

Make a note about picking the right baton pass recipient at team preview. You want Espeon vs possible phazers like Hippowdon. And you want Clefable vs Curse mimikyu or some teams where you don't really need Magic Bounce and Clefable's better bulk is helpful.

Team Options
========

Espeon and Clefable can also be great recipients of Baton Pass thanks to their access to Stored Power. Espeon in particular also has Magic Bounce, which makes it immune to status, preventing it from getting worn down by Toxic, and phazing moves like Roar and Whirlwind. Espeon and Clef should be the ones you talk about first. Also mention Clefable's Magic Guard is good vs Curse Mimikyu since the Curse gets baton passed and can stop your sweep.
* Supporting Pokemon can help Eevee get a Baton Pass off. Whimsicott in particular is a great candidate for this role, as it can use Memento and Taunt, which lets it enable Eevee to set up freely or force a switch from the foe, and prevent Taunt[And Perish Song and Haze and Whirlwind] from opposing Pokemon, respectively. It also has access to Tailwind to patch up Eevee's poor Speed. Also mention whimsicott runs Worry Seed to deal with Serperior which is a really good mon vs Eevee otherwise because it gets like 2 leaf storms off on your lead and then decimates eevee even with spdef boosts. Alolan Ninetales can help Eevee set up thanks to Aurora Veil. Latios can set up Reflect and Light Screen, and it can use Memento to give Eevee a free switch while also lowering the foe's offenses. Finally, Mismagius can use Will-O-Wisp to cripple physical attackers, can prevent phazing moves like Roar, Whirlwind and Haze with Taunt, and can also use Memento effectively. IMO these mons i crossed out are trash. Whimsicott does what they do better. You don't really need screens if you have speed control and memento, also Ninetails doesnt even have access to good speed control. One good lead you should mention is Mental Herb Dusknoir, because it gets access to Taunt, Memento, Haze and Trick Room. Taunt & Memento we already mentioned why they're useful so no need to go into it. Trick Room is good vs speed boosting mons like Blaziken and DDers. Haze in conjunction with that is nice to get rid of any boosts people might try to do. Also, the main reason to run a lead that isnt Whimsicott(besides using trick room) is that you can actually touch Dark-types so Mega Gyarados and Tyranitar don't just set up on you and win turn 1.

A useful teammate to have is a Geomancy/Cotton Guard/Taunt Power Herb Smeargle. This is mostly for matchups against Primarina, Politoed, and Milotic. As those are both perish users that Eevee can't OHKO. Smeargle is used in this matchup to taunt them while you bench Eevee. Tapu Fini is also technically another Haze user to watch out for but it's very rare on it. It's only correct to bring Smeargle vs that if you know your opponent has Haze in a tournament setting or something.

Checks and Counters

Idk if you wanna include this in the Phazing section as its a similar thing, but PERISH SONG is a big one. Very surprised it wasn't mentioned already. Mega Gengar, Primarina, and Politoed are all common users to watch out for.

Curse Mimikyu should be mentioned as Curse gets baton passed. If you don't bring/don't have Clefable it puts your sweeper on a stiff timer.

Haze from Pokemon such as Tapu Fini and Toxapex can remove Eevee's stat boosts, preventing it from passing them. Mention Milotic as a Haze user.

**Strong Attackers**: Strong attacks from Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Mega Salamence and Z-Moves in general KO Eevee most of the time and prevent it from being able to set up.

**Taunt Users**: Taunt from the likes of Whimsicott, Mega Gengar, and Tapu Fini stops Eevee from using Baton Pass, preventing it from doing its main job and effectively making it dead-weight unless it switches out. **Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Mega Blaziken, Breloom, and Mega Heracross can deal a lot of damage to Eevee due to its bad bulk. Mega Blaziken can outspeed Eevee thanks to Speed Boost, while Breloom can use Spore to incapacitate lead(lead???? this sentence as a whole is fine but don't ever imply that you should lead with eevee) Eevee or a switch-in. Mega Heracross can also hit through Eevee's Substitute and OHKO it.Mention Mega Lucario too because Adapt CC's are really deadly.
sorry for getting to this after QC/GP checks. I've been meaning to get to this but kept forgetting. I spent a decent amount of last season learning how to play Eevee well so I feel like I have a lot of valuable additions here. comments in bold

Very informational check, I really appreciate it. Few things I want to point out:

Thanks for this. I understand exactly what you were trying to convey here but I wasn't sure how to phrase it, so if a QC/GP member can please take another look at this, I'd appreciate it.

A useful teammate to have is a Geomancy/Cotton Guard/Taunt Power Herb Smeargle. This is mostly for matchups against Primarina, Politoed, and Milotic. This part is a bit iffy to me. Smeargle in most cases is a very situational pick from what I understand here, being only safe to use in tournament settings. I'm also not sure why you wouldn't use Whimsicott in all other cases since you can do the same job as Smeargle in this case. Lastly, I assume the setup is Smeargle/Eevee/sweeper, which in my opinion is less consistant then Whimsicott/Eevee/sweeper. If you could provide more info, that'd be great. Thanks for the check :)

You're misunderstanding completely. Smeargle replaces Eevee in your 3 vs. Primarina and Poli. Smeargle runs Geomancy/Cotton Guard/Baton Pass/Taunt. Your 3 is Whimsicott/Smeargle/Sweeper. You dont need two baton passers. Smeargle replaces Eevee in these matchups because it can taunt Perish Song, which Eevee can't. It's also not just for tournament settings, it's the right call on ladder when you see stuff like Primarina and Toed because it's pretty likely that they have Perish Song and you'd rather give yourself a decent shot to beat them with Taunt Smeargle rather than out right auto losing with Eevee. Smeargle saw play on teams that placed very well on ladder, 2100+. I trust the consistency of those teams and using them myself have found Smeargle a useful addition.

My mention of tournament settings was specifically about Haze Tapu Fini, because it's just an uncommon set you shouldn't expect at team preview. You don't even need to mention that in the analysis it was mostly just side note.

Thanks for the explanation, I understand it now. My question is that an option like that seems more for Baton Pass in general, rather than just Eevee.

EDIT: Just wanted to say for clarification that I will implement this tommorow.

Eevee is 'Baton Pass in general'. The way I look at this analysis is that it's explaining the concept of an Eevee team rather than just Eevee itself. I think this analysis should be going into the details of what makes the team work the way it does. Because you don't use Eevee without using 5 other mons dedicated to it. So you can't make an analysis about just Eevee without also making it an analysis about Baton Pass teams in general.

And just for clarity, by baton pass teams I do mean specifically dedicated Setups with Eevee and the like. Not teams that casually run a baton pass blaziken or something.

Implemented everything. I'd like a GP member to double-check this, though.

"Eevee's teammates can ideally use Taunt on any possible switch ins, as this can be crucial to ensuring a successful sweep with Eevee."
Nice job, one nitpick I have is to just reword this to "should" instead of "can".
