Hey! I have 5 Xerneas looking for good homes. This is a contest (what you have to do will be described in a minute) to help save y'all from the insanity that is SRing this thing. Sorry Yveltal fans, not today.

THE DEER:

Nature: Bold
Ability: Fairy Aura
IVs: 31/xx/31/30/31/31
OT: Viridi
TID: 03991
30 SpAtk doesn't matter; Bold Xern sets don't run any investment in Special Attack, so it's essentially flawless at level 50.

Non-Redis.
Alright, what's the catch?

Well, you have to come up with Smash Bros. movesets for one of the following Pokemon!

THE CANDIDATES:
SCEPTILE:
One of the most requested Pokemon, Sceptile could bring some 3rd generation representation to the roster.

DIANCIE:
The semi-obscure Jewel Pokemon, Diancie could bring her (and her generation) some light.

BISHARP:
With Zoroark and Victini out of the picture by being confined to Poke Ball Pokemon, Bisharp can see a small chance to get in.

The 5 best movesets will win this deer. The only rule: Please keep it as realistic as possible. For example on what not to do: "Sceptile's neutral special could be Roar of tiem cuz he's awesome enough to use it".

Contest ends on 8/1/2015 at 11:00 EST.

Awesome giveaway! Anyway, I'm not sure how you want this to be formatted, but here-

Sceptile
-lead blade: slashes the for with the blades on its forearms.
-dragon pulse: blasts a powerful burst of dragon-like energy.
-giga drain: transfers energy from the foe to sceptile.
-detect- protects sceptile.
Final smash-leaf storm: an insane blast of razor leafs summoned by sceptile.

Details- sceptile is extremely quick. Also, his size is medium and his weight is light.

Just to be clear about this contest, we're to come up with which in-game moves will function as specials/final smash for Smash?
Yep. Bonus points if:

-You describe what their specials' function is.
-You describe the 'mons' physics (Are they light? Fast? Slow? Heavy? Tall? Short?)
-Even MORE if you describe their jabs, smash attacks, etc.

This is a really interesting an innovative giveaway :)) being an avid but non-competitive SSB3DS player myself, I couldn't resist submitting what I think would be a cool moveset if Diancie were a character. (I think Sceptile would be too similar to Greninja, and I can't imagine Bisharp being a mobile SS character at all...)

Diancie would be short, about Mario's height, but would be heavy, due to being made of crystals/rocks. However she would be quite fast as she would either slightly float off the ground, or spin like a top, as she has no legs. This would be an interesting twist to the archetypal short/light/fast and tall/heavy/slow.
Her jumps would sortve look as if she's levitating upwards, and when moving forwards, the faster she goes, the more she spins on the ground, whereas moving at the slowest speed would just be Diancie shifting forward (levitating slightly). This reflects her physical properties quite well I feel. Also, her evades would comprise a spinning animation not a rolling one! Movement wise she would be very similar to R.O.B.

In terms of jabs/smash attacks, I can imagine Diancie spinning like a top on the little crystal at the bottom of her body and hitting other characters with her little arms.
Her jabs and rush attacks would comprise her spinning and hitting with her little arms. Spamming A (the rapid fire weak punches) would be Diancie spinning rapidly and causing lots of hits.
Her smash attacks would probably include charging up what would be small crystals or boulders and smashing them on opponents, sending them flying. This would have the range of any ol' smash attack.
Up smash: crystal bursts out of the ground upwards
Side smash: Diancie spins rapidly and builds up rocks around her body. She smacks into the opponent causing the rocks to break
Aerial Up/Down: same as ground up, but the crystal comes out of Diancie herself
Aerial side: same as ground but in the air..

Now, the specials:
Standard: she shoots a crystal (projectile that can be reflected) forwards. It can be charged, and when used at its max charge, it becomes a small Diamond Storm. Also, you can spam pressing B which just shoots out rapid fire single crystals. These will gradually get smaller and eventually Diancie won't be able to spam the crystals for ever.
Side B: Diancie uses her move Moonblast, where she is seen glowing (absorbing moonlight supposedly) and then releases a slowish blob of pink light that explodes in a burst of light on impact
Up B: Diancie uses the move Stone Edge, that I would imagine would look a lot like the Stone Edge animation for ORAS except surrounding Diancie and sending anyone it touches flying upwards.
Down B: ROAR OF TIME this would be some sort of defensive special, since Diancie can set up screens in ORAS, her Down B would best be a defensive screen that would appear in front of Diancie, and this would both reflect projectiles and not allow opponents to pass through it. This awesome shield would last only a couple seconds and then dissapear in a sort've 'glass shattering' animation. This shows her ability to make both light screen and reflect in the original Pokemon games.

Aerially, Diancie only has one reliable air recovery. If she uses her 'spam small crystals standard B' in the air, after the spamming has just begun, you can move the directional stick downwards, and Diancie will sortve move upwards in the air somewhat due to... Recoil :P this only lasts a little, since you can't spam B forever as I have pointed out earlier.

I dont play competitively so I don't feel super comfortable explaining fictions of the specials like "this allows Diancie to juggle bla bla bla" but all I can say is that I envision Diancie to have pretty bad Air Game. Not quite as bad as Lil Mac but defenitely not great. Diancies specials are aimed to hit opponents at a distance and then either shake them off of allow you to get out if an opponent rushes in. Then, once an opponent has been damaged enough, diancies high physical speed and spinning smash attacks are designed to allow her to rush in and land big hits. However, Diancie's forte isn't the air.

Ultimate Smash:

Once You've achieved breaking that annoying little ball, Diancies ultimate smash is the obvious Mega-Evolution. Here's what happens...
Diancie will become Mega-Diancie and drastically grow in size, to about that of Lil Mac's ultimate Smash. She will exclusively float in the air and her movements will become slow. She is still heavy. All her attacks are the same except she is now physically way stronger and her Standard B is now automatically a massive Diamond Storm. Her Side B loads faster, the moon blast is bigger and the orb travels faster too. Up B remains the same. The only major difference is that to reflect M-Diancie's more offensive nature, Down B is now Earth Power. The ground all around M-D in a certain radius suddenly shakes and massive bursts of fire come upwards from the ground which breaks. It looks a lot like Earth Power's ORAS animation, but many of them simultaneously all around M-Diancie.
She will then return to normal when her Ulty is over.

Well I hope you do indeed read through all of this, I had a good 2 hour airport delay to think about it! So I did put a lot of thought into it :)) let me know what you think and if youd like to use the Diancie I've envisioned as a character ahahahah

PS: Dark Pit is still obviously the best Smash character ever... ;)

This looks like fun

Sceptile's Smash moveset will probably take some inspiration from Ivysaur's moveset from Brawl and other pokemon.

It will porbably be a medium weight with high speed kind of like Capt. Falcon with a similar height and it's tail doesn't have a hit box kind of like Charizard wings. (Can you imagine that huge bushy tail having a hit box? DDDD:)

Special Moves:
Neutral- Charge shot Energy Ball. Scpetile charges an energy ball with it's mouth and it has active hitbox while charging good for applying pressure on the edges.
Side- Brick Break a move that does big shield damage, not as powerful as Marth's seriously charizard has some random move like Rock Smash so Sceptile gets Brick Break, trying to get into Sakurai's head here lol
Down- Leaf Storm. Sceptile summons a leafstorm that has huge knock back kind of like Pikachu's Thunder but strikes from bottom to top. Good kill move and coverss high recoveries. It also lifts Sceptile a little in the air when airborne so it aids it's recovery.
Up- Agility. Samilar to Pikachu's and Greninja's recovery but it has a Meteor effect at the start and middle of the move. It is a two phase move and can change direction after the first phase like pikachu and greninja.

Attacks
Jab- Scratch and Pound....scratch two times and hit with the tail at the end
All tilts will have tipper effect like Marth, not as powerful tho
U-Tilt- Pound Sceptil swipes it's tail above him from back to front. Good for anti air
D-tilt Pound again Sceptile swipes its tail like Mewtwo, fast set up move

U-Smash X-Scissors Sceptile's cuts above it's head in an X pattern similar to Greninja's and Sheik's Up Smash it has a sweet spot on the very top of the attack but it doesn't cover it sides as much like Greninja. Fast kill move
D-Smash Grass Knot Sceptile stomps the ground and spike grass appears on the ground it has complete horizontal knock back and decent ground coverage it has a high chance of tripping at lower%
F-Smash Leaf Blade works similar to Pit and Pitoo Fsmash or it can also work like in the anime and be similar to Link's Fsmash were the firs strike sets up for a stronger 2nd hit.

Aerials
Neutral Air- Sceptile spins like charizard/pikachu it is faster and has less lag tho
F-air- Dragon Claw: similar to Charizard's Fair you know how Sakurai likes to recycle stuff xD
B-air- Cut: Scpetile turns and swiftly swipes behind him works similar to Megamans Bair but only has two slashe:s
U-Air- Seed bomb: the seeds on sceptile's back glow and then are shot up in the air to explode. Similar to Zelda's Up Air but with more horizontal coverage.
D-air Down Slam: Sceptile does a ferocious Slam downwards it has a meteor effect. Kinda like this:

Final Smash: Mega Sceptile
Sceptile mega evolves and get a considerable speed and movility increase it can shoot its tail with B button and it works like the drill arm item carrying opponents off stage and it also explodes after a certain time or if blocked by a shield risking a shield break. The A button launches a Dragon Pulse that also send the opponents off stage. A combination of the Rocket tail+dragon pulse results in easy gimps/KO's and that what a final Smash is all about.

Edit: Oops I forgot the Grab/throws

Sceptiles grabs with both claws and it's Pummel is Absorb sceptile eyes glow green and a green aura envelops the opponent it heals very little and the pummel is slow so it is balanced as opponents can easily wiggle out if you want to pummel.

Up throw. Sceptile put the opponent above itself and slashes it with its leaf blade.
Fthrow. similar to Up throw but facing forward also slashes with leaf blade.
Dthrow. sceptile throws the opponent to the ground and slams it with it's tail like its Dair. Good setup move at low percent.
B throw. Sceptile throws the foe behind him and slams it with its tail.

First of all this is Smash so we are allowed to tinker with moves correct? Are we supposed to make this overpowered or balanced as a Character?!

Bisharp:
Regular: Psycho Cut, A wave that deals heavy damage within a short range
Up: Slash, Jumps up and brings the axe down
Side: Low Kick, Bisharp Charges forward and kicks out the opponents leg triggering the banana peel tripping mechanic
Down: Sucker Punch, Blocks an Attack and Returns Double Damage
Final Smash: Night Slash, similar to Medinight darkness encloses and Bisharp slashes across the screen

Movement: Slow Speed, High Power. Reacts quickly to suckerpunch with Side and Regular Specials as Chargable

Bisharp: Since he's a steel type I'd say he would be in that grey area between medium and heavy but since his pokedex entry lists him at only 154 lbs/ 70 kg we'll go with medium weight class and standing at 5'3/1.6 m He'd be a tallish character, shorter than samus, bowser, and dk, but taller than mario, yoshi, ness, or kirby.
Attacks:
Jab - Fury cutter: Short quick swipes using the blades on its forearms

up tilt- x-scissor: Bisharp raises its arms above it's head and brings them together then unleashing a strong slice that knocks the opponent into the air.

Down tilt - rock smash: Bisharp slams his fist onto the ground that causes a shockwave effect that knocks back all opponents hit by it.

Forward tilt: Shadow Claw: Bisharp dashes swings his arm forward while a large shadowy hand extends from it and slashes the opponent.

Specials:
neutral: Fling - One of 4 items (sitrus berry, life orb, flame orb, focus band) appears in his hand which he can then throw forwards, if hit by an item the following happens, sitrus berry heals the opponent for 5%, flame orb causes the opponent to take a small bit of damage over time, life orb deals damage and knocks the opponent back (at high % it will ko), and focus sash stuns the opponent for a short time.
side: Sucker Punch - a combination between fox and sheik that starts with a dash, if it hits n opponent, bisharp will appear behind them and strike them for a second time.
Down: Revenge- Creates a small shield around bisharp that if struck by the opponent does double the damage they cause to bisharp.
up: slash- An upward slash with the same visual as link but with his arm/blade than a sword.

Smashes:
f-smash- Knock off: A heavy downward angle strike that knocks the opponent down/back and causes the opponent hit by it to lose the item they had, if applicable.
u-smash- Iron Head: A short jump into the air that has Bisharp to hit opponents with the sharp crest like blade on it's head.
d-smash- Low Kick: A strong kick aimed at the opponents legs that triggers the banana trip effect.

final smash- Swords Dance: Full field spell hybrid between sonic's brawl final smash and link's final smash where he dashes from opponent to opponent dealing damaged to each one for 4 seconds and ko'ing anyone at a high enough percentage.

Whooo, playing Smash (as Greninja) and writing this at the same time :D.
Here's my design for Bisharp:

Bisharp is a heavy, yet fast character. Most of his attacks do little damage but are fast and have very little end lag (like Metaknight before he met the nerf hammer). He has a decently sized hit box, probably around the same size as Lucario. He has a total of 2 jumps.

Attacks:
Jab: Bisharp rapidly stabs with his hands (blades), ending with the blades on the sides of his chest extending on both sides.
Up-Tilt (Iron Head): Bisharp jumps up using Iron Head, hitting anything above him. When doing so, he has a short frame of super armor.
Down-Tilt (Low Kick): Bisharp performs a Low Kick. Just like in Pokemon itself, the heavier the opponent, the more damage this does, but the lighter the opponent, the more this knocks back.
Foward-Tilt: Bisharp does a quick stab after extending the blades on his arms.

Specials:
Neutral: Bisharp extends one of his arms, sending an electrical shockwave (Thunderwave) down it, temporarily paralysing whoever gets hit. This can be charged up, the longer it has been, the longer the paralysis. Instantly doing so results in know paralysis at all.
Side (X-Scissors): Bisharp performs a short jump forward, followed by a rapid spin and 2 cuts
Down (Hone Claws): Bisharp starts honing/sharpening his claws. Similar to Wii Fit Trainer's Deep Breathing, when he does so correctly, his speed and attack will be boosted for the next few seconds. This has a very long cooldown.

Smashes:
Up-Smash: Bisharp raises both of his arms above his head, then brings them down in a circle around him similar to Greninja's up-smash.
Foward-Smash: Bisharp charges up one of his blades, and then launches it out. This can connect twice, the first time when he thrusts his arm out, and the second when the blade on his arm extends.
Down-Smash (Rock Smash): Bisharp swings his arms to his left, then his right, smashing them into the ground in the process. This is able to bury anyone who gets hit.

Aerials:
Neutral: Bisharp curls up, extending the blades on the side of his chest in all directions as he does so. Similar to Greninja's neutral air (You can see where I'm getting all this inspiration from XD)
Forward: Quick jab that can connect three times.
Backward: Bisharp first hits with his elbow, and then with his arm. Decent knockback.
Down (Knock Off?): Bisharp quickly brings his arm down, knocking the opponent (Knock Off I guess. As a thought, if items are switched on, this could be allowed to knock off the item/weapon/whateveritistheyareholding on the player who gets hit)
Up: Bisharp slices upwards three times, launching himself up a bit as he does so.

Grab and Throws:
Grab: Bisharp emaples the opponent.
Pummel: Hits with his free arm.
Forward Throw: Stabs with his other hand, then kicks them forward.
Up Throw: Throws them over his head, followed by a quick stab.
Back Throw: Knocks them with his head, launching the, backwards.
Down Throw: Throws them down, rapidly stabs them several times.

Final Smash (Frenzy Slash):
Bisharp enters a frenzy. Rapidly moving around the screen (through Sucker Punch maybe, in which both of his have a dark aura around him, and he moves ridiculously fast to the next enemy) and ROARS OF TIME EVERYONE IN THE FACE slashes at them with his blades in a blinding style (Night Slash I guess). Once he has hit all enemies several times, he Sucker Punches back to his original target, and ROARS IN THEIR FACE, SENDING THEM BACK IN TIME executes (severely damage) them in a guillotine like fashion.

And Because I can, Taunts:
-Bisharp demonstrates his blade skills, slashing at both sides before coming to a rest, pointing his right arm the player (4th wall broken)
-Pulls out (ow) one of the blades on his chest, and proceeds to juggle it.
-(This is silly, but for some reason I always imagine Bisharp doing so) Bisharp stands upright, and salutes.

Hello! I've been playing smash bros. for a few years now with expertise in various characters. I am choosing to do Bisharp because I find Sceptile and Diancie quite dull as their final smashes will almost certainly be their mega evolutions.

Attributes: Bisharp is a medium sized heavy character, with weight and bulk around the likes of Samus, Ganondorf, and Yoshi and a height slightly taller than Lucario, with a dash as fast as the likes of Peach, Bowser Jr., and Link. Although its moves can be dealt at varying speeds, the slower ones having unexpectedly large hitboxes while the faster ones give him more maneuverability due to the lack of lag. It has a rather weak air game however, do to its fast falling and its lack of coverage moves against opponents that have much more mastery in aerial fights although its meteor smash is unpredictable. Bisharp's varying moves make it unpredictable when played correctly, yet very predictable smash moves. Bisharp's moves have surprising knockback, which is quite useful for edge guarding, especially its quick, weak, yet dangerous jab attack (neutral A-button). However, Bisharp's weakness remains in the inability to go aerial and its lack of recovery from its Night Slash, as well as how surprisingly unstable its balance is in the air.

Bisharp's greatest attribute however, is of course its defiance. Similar to Lucario's aura, Bisharp has its own aura, simply in the form of its ability Defiant. Instead of raising attack when stats are lowered like in the Pokemon games, Bisharp's attacks become slightly quicker, and more powerful, yet the knockback remains the same. Although the difference is slight, it is crucial to Bisharp's success in battle. This tool gives Bisharp the ability to make a nice comeback, dealing damage percentage in the dozens and increasing its moves' mostly large hitbox. However, this makes it difficult for Bisharp to give damage when its own damage is low, making it vulnerable to attacks that keep it off balance.

While Bisharp is terribly ineffective in air, Bisharp's ground attacks are quite the utility with varied speeds and is overall very sturdy on the ground. With the ability to dash around, sweeping other threats with its Defiant ability and smashing falling opponents out of the match, Bisharp is quite the fighter. It is comparable with Lucario on terms of fighting, but Bisharp is more of a ground attacker, with a better, and faster counter move, yet terrible recovery and aerial maneuvarability with its ability to jump twice a bit wasted as its jumps are not high.

Overall, Bisharp is a threat to be aware of.

Moveset: Attributes are not everything. Expertise of a moveset can change the match quickly, with Bisharp's moveset encouraging close matches with a quick pace.

Attacks:

Forward-Tilt: Bisharp bashes its head forwards. Deals decent damage, but slow and punishable if missed. Headbutt

Special Attacks although Bisharp is not a special attacker:
Neutral:

Forward: Bisharp's head hits three times.
Backward: Bisharp kicks backwards, pushing it forwards slightly.

Smashes:Forward: A slow yet powerful bash of Bisharp's head which slowly moves back during its charging. Iron HeadUp: A quick swipe of Bisharp's arms above its head with mediocre range yet dangerous knockback. Metal Claw
Down: Bisharp raises its arms and knocks them both on the ground, knocking off opponent's items. Knock Off

Bisharp slows down it's body glowing with a steely aura, the weight of its body causing it to fall over, dealing high damage and with dangerous knockback although the lag makes it punishable if missed. Iron Defense

Pummel and Throws:Pummel: Bisharp jabs once with its free blade
Forward: Bisharp bashes the opponent powerfully with its head.
Backward: Bisharp swings the opponent over its head once with its blade and kicks it powerfully.
Up: Jumps up, carrying the opponent and bringing it down under Bisharp's weight.
Down: Bisharp bashes the opponent downwards with its head.
Grab: Bisharp swings one blade forwards, grabbing whoever is in its radius. Fairly safe move.

Floor Attack (front): Slashes on either side of it
Floor Attack (back): Slashes on either side of it
Floor Attack (trip): Sticks one leg out.

Final Smash:
Dark Guillotine: Bisharp pulls its arms and legs back and uses Scary Face, slowing down opponents in front of it, quickly moving forwards after a short second or two, and grabbing whoever is still in its range. Its right blade enlarges and is quickly brought down. Combination of Guillotine and Scary Face

Taunts:
Up: Slashes its blades together over its head. Combination of Hone Claws and Rock Polish
Down: Crosses its blade-arms, looks down and shakes its head.
Side: Brings up its left blade and points to the right and a finger appears near it making a 'come' signal. Visualization of the move Taunt

Idle Poses:
-
Seemingly yawns into one of its blades.
- Scratches the back of its head with one blade.
- Lifts its shoulders and relaxes them.

Victory Poses:
- Bisharp runs into the screen and lifts one of its blades which immediately shines in a dark aura.
- Bisharp jumps and does a 'fist pump' with both blades, spinning around and kicking the ground.
- Bisharp puts both blades behind its head in a relaxed way and tilts its head up cockily.

On-Screen Appearance:
Bisharp is seen balancing itself on one blade and pushes itself back up with that blade.

Victory Medley:
The same as Lucario, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Charizard, Mewtwo, and Greninja.

I think that's about it. :P
