[OVERVIEW]

- Excellent basketball player
- Powerful physical attacker who functions either as an hard hitting wallbreaker or a specially inclined tank.
- Easily one of the most effective Rapid Spin users alongside Tomohawk.
- Guts turns Colossoil into a powerhouse, allowing it to break through everything but dedicated resists such as Tomohawk and Tapu Bulu, while also giving Colossoil some of the strongest Pursuits and priority in the metagame.
- Colossoil's Gut boosted Pursuit is second only to a Pursuit from Banded Ttar in terms of damage, and allows it to crack teams open with proper prediction.
- Assault Vest sets allows Colossoil to check most specially offensive Psychic, Ghost, and Electric types, and gives it the necessary bulk to switch in and Rapid Spin consistently.
- Large movepool allows Colossoil to pick and choose its checks to an extent. Coverage moves such as Fire Fang and Facade allows Colossoil to bully past would be checks in Tomohawk, Landorus-t, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela.
- Large movepool also has it's downsides in that Colossoil has a very pronounced 4mss, as it wants to be able to run it's high powered stabs in EQ and Knock Off alongside Sucker Punch and Pursuit, and it still wants to have access to coverage.
- Colossoil's middling speed combined with it's poor match up with common offensive threats in Hawlucha, Tapu Koko, Ash Greninja, and Jumbao means that Colossoil can struggle against offense, which is a matchup only salvaged by it's access to sucker punch.
- Reliance on a coverage moves to get past certain threats means that Colossoil will almost always be walled by something regardless of it's set.

Moves
========

- Earthquake gives Colossoil a spammable STAB move that can 2HKO almost every grounded Pokemon that fails to resist it. Some notable 2HKOs Earthquake achieves are on Mega Venusaur, Arghonaut, and Pyroak and Mega Scizor after Stealth Rock damage.
- Sucker Punch allows Colossoil to remain competitive versus offensive teams by giving it an extremely powerful priority move. This allows Colossoil to pick off weakened threats, including Mega Crucibelle, Volkraken, and Krillowatt.
- Knock Off is Colossoil's most spammable move and is important in guaranteeing damage on Flying-type switchins such as Celesteela, Tomohawk, and Landorus-t. Knock Off is also valuable in removing Leftovers and pinch berries to help wear down defensive cores.
- The fourth move slot largely comes down to what Colossoil's team needs.
- Pursuit is the preferred choice because it capitalizes on Colossoil's power to remove or heavily weaken Pokemon Colossoil often forces out, such as Heatran and Chansey. Pursuit can also capitalize on the switches Sucker Punch can create, allowing Colossoil to heavily punish Choice users predicting a Sucker Punch.
- Facade is a viable option if the utility of Pursuit is not needed. Facade is turned into a powerful neutral coverage move by Guts, allowing Colossoil to break through would be checks such as Tomohawk, Landorus-t, Tapu Bulu, and Jumbao.
- U-turn is also an option to keep up momentum against would be switch-ins. This is especially useful with other U-turn and Volt Switch users such Tapu Koko.
- Toxic can be used instead to cripple Tomohawk, Jumbao, Tapu Bulu, and Landorus-t. Unlike Facade, Toxic allows Colossoil to support it's teammates as they attempt to break through Pokemon with strong recovery options such as Tomohawk and Jumbao.

Set Details
========

- Flame Orb is the optimal item for an offensive set because it gives Colossoil the power of a Choice Band along with less recoil than a Life Orb.
- Jolly is preferred to have the best chance at speed tying Volkraken, Zygarde, Tapu Lele, and other Colossoils, as well as outspeeding Jolly Landorus-t. Adamant is useful for breaking through Mega Scizor and Pyroak with greater ease.
- EVs allow Colossoil to hit as hard as possible while outspeeding everything up to base 95s.

Usage Tips
========

- Colossoil is best used as a battering ram- get it in on something it can force out and start throwing out Guts boosted Knock Offs and Earthquakes to create holes in the opposing team.
- Colossoil's power can force out many slower Pokemon, so punish them when appropriate through Pursuit or U-turn.
- If you're facing a Tomohawk, you can fully expect to see them switch in to help keep Colossoil's impact to a minimum. You can use this predictability to Knock Off their item on the first switch in, and then abuse the switch in later on with your fourth moveslot.
- Because of how common Pursuit and Sucker Punch are on Colossoil, it's important to have a good read on your opponent in case they try to play around either one. Turn the tables on your opponent by using the threat of a Sucker Punch to force a switch, and then take a chunk out of the retreating Pokemon with Pursuit. Likewise, be aware of Pokemon that can play around Sucker Punch through entry hazards, set up moves, and Substitute.

Team Options
========

- Entry hazards are the name of the game with Colossoil. Not only can Colossoil rapidly break down defensive cores with a layer of Stealth Rock, Spikes, or Toxic Spikes down, Colossoil itself can pick up KOs on Pokemon after several switchins into entry hazards. Stealth Rock setters such as Mega Crucibelle, Landorus-T, Tomohawk, and Ferrothorn all have synergy with Colossoil, as they can check Fighting, Grass, or Water-types for Colossoil. Syclant and both Greninja formes work well as offensive spike setters, and they appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear down the opposing team. Pajantom and Toxapex are notable Toxic Spike setters. Pajantom in particular has great synergy with Colossoil as it can trap and remove the few defensive switchs to Colossoil.
- Other offensive ground types, such as Landorus-t and Zygarde appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear through their common checks. In return, Landorus-t can potentially net a OHKO on Tomohawk with Supersonic Strike, and Zygarde can Toxic Tomohawk for Colossoil to break.
- Powerful special attackers such as Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Volkraken, and Magearna can pressure defensive walls such as Landorus-t and Tomohawk.
- Volcorona, Blacephalon, and other Pokemon that appreciate the removal of Mollux and Heatran can form powerful offensive cores with Colossoil, which wears down the opposing team until they can set up a sweep.

Moves
========

- Earthquake is neccessary for Colossoil to aqeuately check Heatran, Toxapex, Cyclohm, and other Ground weak Pokemon.
- Knock Off allows Colossoil to remove Leftovers and pinch berries from Pokemon such as Arghonaut, landorus-t, and Tomohawk. Knock Off is Colossoil's go to STAB move and helps make up for the lack of coverage options available to this set.
- Rapid Spin is the most important move on this set, as the bulk provided by Assault Vest allows Colossoil to reliably remove entry hazards.
- However, Rapid Spin can be redundant for Defog, and can be dropped for any of the moves in the fourth moveslot.
- Pursuit works well on this set, as Colossoil can capitalize on the improved bulk to better force out and punish Heatran, Mollux, and Blacephalon.
- U-turn can be used to keep momentum on Colossoil's switchins, as this set lacks the offensive power to break through Celesteela, Tomohawk, Landorus, and more.
- Sucker Punch is a viable option to allow Colossoil to carry it's weight in an offensive matchup.

Set Details
========

- This spread is just a trashy placeholder until I can remember the good one! This still holds true!
- Assault Vest works well on Colossoil due to it's massive Health Pool. Assault Vest turns Colossoil into a bulky special tank that can serve as a hard stop to Pokemon such as Blacephalon.
- Guts is preferred to better allow Colossoil to switch into Lava Plumes from Mollux and Heatran.
- Rebound is an equally viable option to help keep hazards off the field.

Usage Tips
========

- You switch Colossoil into weak Special Attackers who either don't run a move to hit it super effectively, or run HP Ice. From there you liberally spam Knock Off, or Rapid Spin if hazards are up, and then Pursuit / U-turn on predicted switch ins.
- When you're feeling threatened by that Latios and his Grass Knot, smack him in the dome with a Sucker Pawnch.
- In general your gameplan is to pivot around and Spin hazards away or check a Pokemon you're needed to check.

Other Options
=============

- Lefties + Encore + Taunt + Toxic
- Encore and Taunt also work w/ Guts.
- Ice Fang is an option for Landorus-t and helps versus Zygarde.
- Flynium Z and Bounce can be used to get the drop on Keldeo/Arghonaut/Tangrowth/Mega Venusaur. You won't be able to beat a Tomohawk from full even with this move, sadly.

Checks and Counters
