[OVERVIEW]

  • Buzzwole has incredible physical bulk, which allows it to wall physical threats.
  • Buzzwole also has a nice typing combination, which makes it resist Fighting, Ground, and Dark type moves.
  • These attributes combined allows Buzzwole to wall threats such as Marshadow, non fire-type move Primal Groudon, as well as hard countering Arceus-Dark and Arceus-Ground.
  • Buzzwole also has a nice base 139 attack, which makes Buzzwole able to deal good damage.
  • Beast Boost is a good ability Buzzwole boasts, which helps Buzzwole's walling.
  • However, it has a very low Special Defense stat, which makes it vulnerable to special attackers.
  • Buzzwole also has a 4x weakness to Flying, as well as a weakness to Fairy-type and Fire-type moves, which hinder its ability to do its job.
  • Buzzwole is very vulnerable to trappers, such as Mega Gengar and Gothitelle, which can easily check Buzzwole.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Hammer Arm is the primary STAB move, which allows it to deal good damage to the Pokemon it checks. It should generally always be preferred over Superpower, as Superpower has less PP and ruins Buzzwole's main niche of walling physical threats.
  • Toxic is used to stall out checked Pokemon, as well as punishing switch-ins such as Yveltal.
  • Roost is required in order to have a form of reliable recovery.
  • Earthquake is used, as without it, Mega Gengar will hard counter it.

Set Details
========
  • The given HP and Special Defense set allows Buzzwole to survive two +1 Judgments from Arceus-Dark after Stealth Rock damage and Leftovers recovery.
  • The rest of the EVs are invested in Defense to increase Buzzwole's walling ability.
  • An alternate spread of 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SpD can be run to increase walling ability. It does have the benefit of barely surviving a +2 Soul Stealing Seven-Star Strike from Marshadow at full health without Stealth Rock damage.
  • Leftovers gives Buzzwole a passive form of recovery, which helps it check Pokemon such as Arceus-Ground.

Usage Tips
========
  • Always switch Buzzwole in on Pokemon it checks, as most of the Pokemon it checks are checked effectively.
  • It should never stay in on special attackers other than Arceus-Dark and Arceus-Ground, as Buzzwole will generally be KOed.
  • Avoid getting burned or badly poisoned, as they will prevent Buzzwole do its job.
  • Be aware of coverage moves, as they can bait Buzzwole in and KO it. Try not to attempt to check a Pokemon if you are unaware if they have coverage moves or not.
  • Toxic is generally a safe option to use, as it can punish switch-ins. Don't be afraid to use it when you can, as most Steel-types wouldn't switch in and Poison-types aren't that common.

Team Options
========
  • Alolan-Muk and Tyranitar are two good partners to pair with Buzzwole, as they can handle some special attackers and can Pursuit trap Mega-Gengar. Alolan-Muk takes it even farther by being able to soft-check Xerneas and absorbing Toxic. In return, Buzzwole handles physical attackers, Ground, and Fighting types.
  • Magearna is a great partner, as Magearna handles Fairy-types, special attackers, and Mega Sableye. In return, Buzzwole handles Ground-types and physical attackers.
  • Support Primal Groudon can set up Stealth Rock, which punishes Flying-types for switching in. Support Primal Groudon can also handle Fairy-types, Mega Gengar, and Mega Sableye. In return, Buzzwole can handle Arceus-Ground.
  • Arceus-Water handles Primal Groudon with Fire moves and Flying-types such as Mega Salamence. In return, Buzzwole can handle Swords Dance Primal Groudon and allows Arceus-Water to invest more in bulk thanks to Buzzwole's ability to check Mega Lucario.
  • Most of the time, Fairy-types would switch-in, so Steel-types such as Mega Scizor, Bronzong, and Celesteela can deal with them. Celesteela in particular is an effective partner, as it checks Flying-types and can absorb Toxic.

Other Options
=============
  • Shed Shell is a reliable option, as it can negate Buzzwole's big weakness to trappers. However, Buzzwole requires Leftovers to check some Pokemon, which means Buzzwole will not be able to check them as effectively.
  • Lunge can be used to prevent physical setup sweepers from setting up too much, give Buzzwole a secondary STAB move, and prevents Gothitelle from trapping Buzzwole. The big flaw of this option is that Mega Gengar can switch in and KO it with ease.
  • If you're willing to sacrifice punishing Mega Gengar for switching in for defeating Fairy-types, a Relaxed Nature, 0 IVs, and Gyro Ball can be run.
  • Taunt can prevent Pokemon from setting up and can prevent status. Due to Buzzwole's low speed however, its true potential is only if a Pokemon switches in, as without the switch-in, the opposing Pokemon can accumulate a boost or can cripple Buzzwole with status.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Trappers**: Trappers are threatning to Buzzwole as they can trap it and eliminate it from the game. Mega Gengar can switch-in on almost every move Buzzwole has, and can either proceed to either burn it, or hit it with Hex or Sludge Wave, although it dislikes switching in Earthquake. Gothitelle can switch in on Hammer Arm or Toxic, lower its attack with Charm, and proceed to PP stall it. Although Buzzwole can tank a Tectonic Rage with ease, Dugtrio can cripple Buzzwole with Toxic.

**Mega Sableye**: Mega Sableye is immune to Hammer Arm due to its Ghost-typing and is immune to Toxic thanks to Magic Bounce. Other moves won't mean much to Mega Sableye either, as it can tank them with ease. To fight back, Mega Sableye can cripple it with status and hit Buzzwole with Foul Play.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy types such as Xerneas, Arceus-Fairy, and Magearna are present on many teams, and can either use it as a setup fodder, or hit Buzzwole hard with their super effective moves on Buzzwole. Mega Diancie has the perk of being immune to Toxic thanks to Magic Bounce. However, some of these Pokemon gets crippled by Toxic.

**Flying-types**: Ho-Oh, Mega Salamence, and Yveltal can switch in to most moves and can hit it hard due to its 4x weakness to Flying. However, most Flying-types dislike switching into Toxic.

**Status**: Paralysis won't mean much to Buzzwole, but Toxic and Burn are very threatning to Buzzwole. Buzzwole loses out on walling of it gets hit by Toxic, and Hammer Arm's damage will be halved due to Burn.

**Special Attackers**: Special Attackers such as Primal Kyogre and Deoxys-Attack can exploit Buzzwole's low Special Defense and can easily KO it.

Think this is ready for QC. This is my first analysis, so there may be some flaws in there.

EDIT: Made some changes on Team Option even though this is on QC Stage. I don't know if that is allowed.
