Overview
Zygarde-C possesses titanic bulk, rivaling that of Eviolite Chansey, thanks to its outstanding HP stat and great defensive stats. It also has a great Dragon / Ground defensive typing that allows it to resist many common offensive types such as Fire, Electric, and Rock. This allows Zygarde-C to blanket check many common metagame threats such as Primal Groudon, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Mewtwo X if they lack Ice coverage. It can run many defensive sets such as Fur Coat, Unaware, and Poison Heal that allows it to fit well on a variety of teams and sometimes makes it mandatory on more balanced builds. Zygarde-C can also run surprise sweeping sets such as Shift Gear Poison Heal and Quiver Dance Soundproof sets that allows it to garner more of an offensive presence. Although offensive Pokemon such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Mewtwo Y can pull off sweeping sets much better due to their better damage output, they trade off the amazing bulk that Zygarde-C has access to.

However, Zygarde-C has a nasty 4x weakness to Ice that offensive threats can exploit by running appropriate coverage moves to weaken it down immensely with examples being Refrigerate Mega Mewtwo X and Ice Beam Primal Kyogre. This typing also gives it a weakness to Fairy- and Dragon-type attacks, which are also quite prevalent in the current metagame. It is also quite weak without any setup boosts, which means it can be passive at times.

Moves

Haze allows Zygarde-C to reset all stat changes on the field, allowing it to check many common setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Primal Groudon, and Regigiggas. Thousand Waves is a great STAB move that allows Zygarde-C to trap opposing Pokemon and proceed to stall them. Thousand Arrows is alternative STAB option that can be used if Zygarde-C is running a pivot move. Shore Up is a reliable recovery move that allows Zygarde-C to sustain itself and and be a more consistent wall. Core Enforcer is a STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to prevent common Poison Heal users such as Regigigas, Primal Kyogre, and Arceus from setting up. It also works well with Thousand Waves, as it allows Zygarde-C to trap and stall out Poison Heal Pokemon. U-turn can be used as a pivoting move that allows Zygarde-C to switch out on incoming Pokemon that threaten to hit it hard and provides momentum for your team. Defog is another option that allows Zygarde-C to clear all entry hazards, which may be more beneficial for its teammates.

Set Details

As Unaware allows Zygarde-C to ignore stat boosts, and Prankster + Haze can remove them before taking a hit, Zygarde-C is an excellent check to certain setup sweepers, which is invaluable for more defensively orientated teams. Safety Goggles allows Zygarde-C to be immune from the most common form of sleep inducement in Spore, which can help it check certain setup sweepers more easily. Groundium Z makes Zygarde-C immune to Trick, meaning it has a much easier time facing common Trick users such as Primal Groudon. Tectonic Rage can also act as an emergency tool to hit Entrainment Mega Gengar as well. Leftovers is another option on any defensive Pokemon but generally has less utility than the other two items. EVs are maxed out in HP, Attack, Defense, and Special Defense with a Relaxed nature to allow Zygarde-C to become a bulky wall, allowing it to avoid the 2HKO from Choice Band Primal Groudon's Precipice Blades and Psystrike from Mega Mewtwo Y. It also ensures the effects of Core Enforcer activate as much as possible.

Usage Tips

When using Unaware, be wary of certain setup sweepers that carry ability-ignoring moves such as Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam, although Zygarde-C can usually avoid the 2HKO from common Sunsteel Strike and Power Trip users, such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, Primal Kyogre, Yveltal, and Mega Mewtwo X. Prankster Zygarde does not fear these moves; however, it's important to switch it into Pokemon that you predict will use setup moves so that it will not need to take any boosted hit. Zygarde-C cannot always switch in on certain special setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-A, as they can sometimes 2HKO Zygarde-C due to its lower Special Defense. Zygarde-C can be worn down quite frequently if the foe has laid down multiple entry hazards, so try and remove them as soon as possible to try and alleviate this issue. It's important to scout for Ice-type coverage from common users such as Mega Mewtwo X, Primal Kyogre, and Primal Groudon when using Zygarde-C, as these coverage moves tend to have the chance to OHKO Zygarde-C. It is also important to keep Zygarde-C at high health due to it having a bit more of a difficult time checking certain threats if it is weakened enough.

Team Options

Defensive Steel-types such as Solgaleo and Registeel can be great partners for Zygarde-C, as they are able to sustain Ice- and Fairy-type attacks that would otherwise dent Zygarde-C immensely. They also provide a Psychic-type resistance to the team that can help Zygarde-C get passed certain special setup sweepers in Mega Mewtwo Y and Deoxys-A more easily. Pokemon that can check common -ate abilities such as the aforementioned Registeel, Aegislash, and Soundproof Mega Slowbro can help Zygarde-C deal with these wallbreakers without taking a severe amount of damage. Entry hazard removers such as Giratina and Mega Audino can also be quite useful, as they can clear the battlefield from all entry hazards, which grants Zygarde-C a much more easier time when switching in. Specially defensive walls such as Giratina and Primal Kyogre are also useful partners, as they can stomach special attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y and Kyurem-W.

Moves

Core Enforcer is a great STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to punish incoming switch-ins by removing the effect of their abilities. This can be quite useful against certain threats such as Poison Heal Giratina and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre for example. Thousand Arrows is another STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to hit Fairy-types more reliably, but the beneficial side effects from Core Enforcer usually outclass the use of this move. Shore Up acts as an reliable recovery move and allows Zygarde-C to sustain itself and be able to perform its role throughout the match. U-turn allows Zygarde-C to pivot out from incoming Pokemon that would otherwise threaten it out such as Kyurem-B, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Diancie and allows Zygarde-C to safely bring in teammates due to it being a rather slow pivot. Haze is a useful move that allows Zygarde-C to not be setup bait against certain setup sweepers by nullifying their stat changes, making it a more consistent check to a wider variety of offensive threats such as Power Trip Yveltal and Mega Tyranitar. Metal Burst is another option that can be a useful way of dealing massive amounts of damage thanks to Zygarde-C's amazing HP coupled with its equally high Defense thanks to Fur Coat. This allows it to beat certain physical threats such as Primal Groudon and Mega Mewtwo X more reliably. Although once scouted, the foe can then capitalize on the use of the move by getting free switches.

Set Details

Fur Coat turns Zygarde-C to undoubtedly the best physically defensive wall in the metagame thanks to its titanic HP stat. EVs are maximized in all stats besides Attack and Speed with a Relaxed nature to maximize Zygarde-C's defensive utility while also ensuring that it provides slow pivoting and also be able to activate the effects of Core Enforcer. Safety Goggles are paired, (AC) as it allows Zygarde-C to bypass certain Spore users such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-S. Groundium Z paired with Thousand Arrows can also be used to prevent Zygarde-C from being crippled by Trick Choice items and also can let hit Normalize Mega Gengar even after it has been inflicted with Entrainment. Leftovers is another option that can be used to grant Zygarde-C passive recovery each turn, although Safety Goggles is preferred due to it being more useful in more situations.

Usage Tips

Zygarde-C may not be able to switch in on certain physical wallbreakers if they tend to run Ice-type coverage such as Stakeout Primal Groudon and Refrigerate Mega Mewtwo X; however, Zygarde-C can comfortably pivot in on a variety of offensive threats such as Mega Tyranitar, Yveltal, and Regigigas if they do not run Ice-type coverage, and it can then provide your team with useful momentum afterwards. Zygarde-C cannot really switch in to powerful special attacking wallbreakers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Primal Kyogre, or Deoxys-A all too well, so be cautious of these threats when using Fur Coat Zygarde-C. Certain physical setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Yveltal, and Mega Tyranitar sometimes tend to run Sunsteel Strike to bypass their foes' abilities, so be wary of these variants, as they can sometimes OHKO Zygarde-C if boosted enough. Since Fur Coat Zygarde-C possesses immense Defense, it does not always need to be at full health in order to check physical attackers, meaning that it can choose to go for U-turn more often instead of constantly recovering its HP.

Team Options

Specially defensive walls such as Dialga, Mega Audino, Mega Gyarados, and Registeel complement Zygarde-C well, as they can oftentimes be able to wall powerful special wallbreakers, that would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C. Registeel in particular can be a great partner, as it can resist Sunsteel Strikes from threats such as Kartana and Regigigas. Primal Groudon is also a great partner for Zygarde-C, as it can threaten out many Ice-types such as Kyurem-B and Kyurem-W and can also break through many of Zygarde-C's checks in Dialga, Primal Kyogre (if Desolate Land is up), and Zekrom. Primal Groudon also works very well alongside Zygarde-C, as Zygarde-C can Imposter proof Primal Groudon if it is not running Ice-type coverage. -ate checks such as Registeel, Solgaleo, and Aegislash can also be great partners, as they can deal with certain wallbreakers such as Mega Rayquaza, Mega Diancie, and Kyurem-B that would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C. Powerful Fairy-type wallbreakers such as Mega Diancie and Xerneas can also be good partners, as they can threaten out this Zygarde-C set if the opposing Chansey had transformed into it due to their immunity to Core Enforcer and their ability to hit Zygarde-C extremely hard. Hazard removers such as Registeel and Mega Audino are also good options to add on the team, as otherwise, Zygarde-C can be severely crippled when switching in if hazards are up.

Set Comments

Moves

Thousand Arrows is the main STAB move for this set, as the move can hit every relevant Pokemon in the metagame regardless of their typing. Will-O-Wisp acts as a great way to beat out opposing Chanseys that transform into this set, as they generally do not run a Toxic Orb to take advantage of the effects of Poison Heal. It also helps Zygarde-C cripple physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X and Yveltal as well. Sacred Fire can accomplish the same goal most of the time as well and can also hit Steel-types that are not hit super effectively from Ground-type attacks such as Ferrothorn and Kartana. Knock Off can also be used to cripple opposing Eviolite Chansey and Toxic Orb Giratina on the switch in. It also can provide great utility for your team, getting rid of items such as Safety Googles, type plates, and Choice items. King's Shield is a great option to check certain priority users such as Mega Rayquaza and Regigigas by lowering their Attack stat, often forcing them to switch out. It also allows Zygarde-C to gain passive recovery from Poison Heal without fearing to be hit by any attacking moves for one turn. Taunt is a great move to cripple defensive Pokemon that can potentially wall Zygarde-C such as Unaware Mega Audino, Fur Coat Giratina, and Unaware Tapu Fini from recovering or using moves such as Haze that could potentially stop Zygarde-C from sweeping. Dragon Hammer is another option that grants Zygarde-C another STAB move that allows it to deal more damage against other Dragon-types such as Zygarde-C and Giratina, although Poison Heal Zygarde-C is already pressed for moveslots, so it's usually not worth running. Shift Gear is the main setup move on this set, as it allows Zygarde-C to become more of an offensive sweeper.

Set Details

Poison Heal allows Zygarde-C to recover 12% of its HP each turn while also being immune to other crippling status affects such as burns, which complements physical setup boosting sets immensely. A Toxic Orb is equipped to ensure that Zygarde-C is inflicted with the poisoned status to utilize Poison Heal. EVs are maxed out in every stat besides Special Attack with an Adamant nature to ensure Zygarde-C hits as hard as possible when attacking.

Usage Tips

Be careful when swtitching in on certain Core Enforcer users such as Dialga and Giratina, as not only does the move deal super effective damage against Zygarde-C, but it can also nullify the effects from Poison Heal, meaning that Zygarde-C would take poison damage instead of receiving healing. Once the Toxic Orb is activated, Zygarde-C can become a great sponge to annoying attacks such as Knock Off and status moves in general. Try not to set up on certain Unaware walls such as Yveltal, Mega Audino, and Zygarde-C, as these walls can threaten to steal the boosts from Zygarde-C through Spectral Thief and pass them to another physical sweeper on the opposing team. Assault Vest users such as Mega Gyarados and Dialga often carry Spectral Thief as well in combination with powerful attacks that could damage Zygarde-C. Scouting coverage options on offensive Pokemon such as Ice Beam Mega Mewtwo Y and Ice Hammer Primal Groudon is vital when using Zygarde-C, since it holds such a great defensive presence on teambuilding and is often prepared for due to this. Zygarde-C should only try setting up against opposing passive Pokemon that cannot really immobilize it too much such as Aegislash, Giratina, and Solgaleo. If the opposing team pertains an Imposter Chansey, try crippling it first with Will-O-Wisp before setting up, as this allows Zygarde-C to not be threatened by the Chansey even if it starts boosting as well. Try not to be too liberal when using King's Shield against priority users such as Mega Diancie and Kyurem-B, as otherwise, the foe can bait out the use of King's Shield and use another move not affected by it to be able to check Zygarde-C the next turn.

Team Options

Unaware walls such as Mega Audino, Xerneas, and Yveltal are useful team members, as they can check opposing threats that may have stolen stat boosts from Zygarde-C. They can also check Chansey that have transformed into Zygarde-C if the Zygarde-C on your team does get forced out by it. Pokemon that can check -ate ability users such as Solgaleo, Aegislash, and Soundproof Mega Slowbro can also be useful partners, since they can switch in on powerful -ate attacks that would otherwise dent Zygarde-C. Powerful wallbreakers such as Stakeout Primal Groudon, Steelworker Kartana, Aerilate Mega Rayquaza, and Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y are all great partners to break through Unaware walls that would otherwise stop Zygarde-C from sweeping effectively. Bulky Steel-types such as Solgaleo, Registeel, and Magearna can be useful, as they can take on Fairy- and Ice-types that would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C out.

Strategy Comments

Other Options

A RegenVest set with Rapid Spin / Core Enforcer / Metal Burst / U-turn is a decent set that allows Zygarde-C to be a specially defensive bulky pivot, but the set gets worn down quite easily by entry hazards such as Spikes and Toxic Spikes, and Zygarde-C cannot really stomach Ice-, Fairy-, and Dragon-type special attacks all too well even with an Assault Vest. A defensive Poison Heal and Magic Bounce set is also quite good, as Zygarde-C gains so much passive recovery from the former and can block status moves with the latter; however, these sets are usually outclassed by better defensive abilities in Unaware and Fur Coat. Stealth Rock is a useful move on all defensive sets, as Zygarde-C gains many chances to set it up thanks to its great bulk. Defensive sets with Darknium Z and Icium Z for Parting Shot and Haze, respectively, can also be used to prevent Zygarde-C from being crippled from Trick users. A Soundproof special sweeping set with Quiver Dance / Thousand Waves / Shore Up / Changling Scales also can work, as it can lure and trap incoming Imposter Chanseys. However, there are several better special sweeping threats that can perform Imposter-proofing shenanigans better such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Zekrom for this set to actually be that viable. Zygarde-C can honestly run any defensive ability viably due to it possessing possibly the best physical bulk in the entire metagame.

Checks and Counters

Ice-type Coverage:
Offensive Pokemon that carry Ice-type coverage on their sets such as Ice Hammer Mega Mewtwo X, Ice Beam Primal Kyogre, and Ice Judgement Primal Groudon limit Zygarde-C's walling capabilities due to the huge weakness it has to these moves.

Fairy-types: Fairy-types such as Mega Diancie and Xerneas can threaten Zygarde-C out due to their immunities to Dragon-type attacks and their ability to fire off powerful special Fairy-type attacks, which can force out the Fur Coat set quite well.

Powerful Special Attacking Wallbreakers: Special attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Primal Kyogre, and Deoxys-A can all threaten Zygarde-C out due to its lower Special Defense stat that oftentimes cannot handle attacks coming from these threats.

-ate Abilities: Zygarde-C is weak to or is hit neutrally by many common -ate abilities such as Pixilate, Refrigerate, and Aerilate, which means common threats such as Mega Diancie, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Mewtwo X can severely dent Zygarde-C due to the damage output boosted by these abilities.

Taunt: Zygarde-C can be quite limited if Taunted due to it being quite passive at times, especially on more defensive sets.

Trick Choice Items: Foes that Trick any Choice item onto Zygarde-C can be quite a nuisance due to it relying on the use of several moves on its sets to be effective, unless it is running Darknium Z or Icium Z.

Funbot28 Very good start on the analysis for Zygarde-Complete.

overview: Add that its weakness to fFairy and Dragon attacks does it no favors in the current meta with prevalent users of contrary Fleur Cannon and Draco Meteor, especially since contrary is something that people don't prepare for. Add examples to the comment about 4x ice weaknesses such as refrigerate users (Kyurem-B, MMX) and P-Ogre that often run Ice Beam

Defensive Unaware set:
Slash in Heart Swap with Spectral Thief since it can hit every pokemon that doesn't taunt you first. That's great for those bulky setup sweepers you mentioned in Usage Tips like Arceus and Regigigas.
In set details, why the 36 def evs in the alternative SPD spread?
In Usage Tips, mention that baton pass can sometimes pass unwanted conditions such as Leech Seed, which a lot of bulky Pokemon run.
In team options, add some methods of entry hazard control

Fur Coat set
The line about U-turn seems kind of ambiguous to me. You would only be using it in order to gain momentum which means the only time you would use it when facing a Mega Diancie is if it switches in as you use it. The point of U-Turn isn't as much to escape a bad situation as it is to bring in something better. So change the line to something about letting it slow pivot into something better.
Metal burst and haze should be reversed on the set. Haze is definitely more universal than it. Once you reveal metal burst, you enter mind games with your opponent, which is never good. Haze instantly gets rid of all the stat boosts, and in addition it has 48 pp so you'll probably not be too worried about pp stall. Plus Zygarde-c can only take so much punishment, even from physical setup.
PS: you should not be relying on metal burst to defeat things like Primal Groudon. Use teammates for that. Fur coat Zygarde-c should be sent in as a fairly passive wall anyway.
set details: Mention leftovers.
usage tips: It's good to know when not to use Zygarde-C, but when can you use it? You can check physical attackers, but you can also pivot on a lot of pokemon as well.
Team Options: Since this set works as a passive wall, I don't really think you need impostor-proofing support on it, but ask the qc team. If it does, setup sweepers are probably not your best impostor-proof counters, since the impostor can just Core Enforcer on them or haze away their boosts. Try something like Fairy-type wallbreakers that are immune to core enforcer and can hit hard right off the bat.

Poison heal sweeper
usage tips: Again, it's great to know how not to use this set, but how do you use it? Is it a good switchin to knock off once its toxic orb is activated? When can you safely set up? When should you spam your stab moves? How much can you risk setting up if you know an impostor is on the team? Add that AV users also often carry spectral thief to steal boots and they often carry physical moves to hit back hard with.

Other options: Assault vest regenerator is probably viable enough that it deserves detailed coverage, but check with QC. Remove the clanging scales set; it's just not viable. Add Innards Out with entry hazards and a Citris Berry here to force beneficial trades. You may want to add stealth rock in general since Zygarde can set it up consistently.
C&c: Add that its passivity leaves it vulnerable to taunt, as well as trick choice item. Add core enforcer. Burns and poison can severely cripple the first two sets as well.

Overview
  • You use the word pertain a lot throughout and it doesn't really make sense in any of the contexts you use it, I think in most cases "contain" or "possess" would be better
  • Zygarde-C offensive sets are okay, but they are somewhat mediocre and I figure that if you're going to mention them you might as well say that there are as good if not better alternatives that are more powerful at the cost of a great deal of bulk
Defensive Unaware
  • Spectral Thief and Heart Swap are both really risky with BP so you should definitely mention that in the Usage Tips section below. Perhaps in Moves you can also mention Haze, which serves a similar purpose to Heart Swap but is less risky and also better against Stored Power and Power Trip users. Not sure Haze warrants a slash but it deserves a mention at least.
  • Is there any reason why you put Rapid Spin over Defog? Maybe it's easier to imposterproof, but idk if it's better on a standalone set like this
  • In Set Details, the alternative EV spread is a little off. To avoid a 2hko from Adamant Adaptability Primal Groudon, use 248 HP / 104 Def / 152 SpD with a Careful nature.
  • In Team Options, you should say that the Steel-types also take Fairy-type attacks well.
Fur Coat
  • You can also put Arrows here if you want
  • In Team Options, it's probably worth noting that some of those walls, such as Registeel, resist Sunsteel Strikes (from Kartana, for example) that could be problematic
  • Primal Groudon is also a good partner because it is imposterproofed by Zygarde-C
Poison Heal Sweeper
  • Arrows doesn't hit every Pokemon. I would say that it hits most relevant ones.
  • King's Shield doesn't actually beat Mega Diancie because Zygarde is obliterated by Boomburst. Maybe pick a different priority user
  • I don't really know what to do about this EV spread. Keep on asking around, I guess.
Other Options
  • I don't think it's accurate to say that the RegenVest set gets worn down by all forms of hazards. Stealth Rock is resisted.
Checks and Counters
  • It's not just the immunity to Core Enforcer, it's the threat of attacks like Pixilate Boomburst that allows Fairy-types to force out Zygarde
  • This last bit is optional, but I would say that you can remedy the Trick + Choice weakness with the use of an item like Darkinium Z (for Parting Shot) or Icium Z (for Haze), and if you do end up doing this, make sure to mention both in OO so that it doesn't come out of nowhere.
QC 1/3, really nice job

Moves
  • Spectral Thief compliments Unaware quiet well as it allows Zygarde-C to steal stat boost raises from the opponent. This can be a viable method to check certain setup sweepers if they lack ability-ignoring moves such as Sunsteel Strike or Moongeist Beam.
  • Heart Swap is another option that pertains similar affects to Spectral Thief where Zyagrde-C and the opponent switch stat changes, which helps Zygarde-C bypass Normal-type setup sweepers. However, the move is subjected to Taunt and is not as reliable as the opponent is still free to setup the next turn without too much risk.
  • Haze is an alternative option that eliminates all stat changes on the field, which is very useful when facing Stored Power and Power Trip users due to their ability to deal great amount of damage with these moves when accumulating stat boosts, however unlike Spectral Thief, the move is subjected to Taunt which can be troublesome.
  • Shore Up is a reliable recovery move that allows Zygarde-C to sustain itself and and be able to be a more consistent wall.
  • Baton Pass allows Zygarde-C to become a defensive pivot and also allows it to pass boosts gained from Spectral Thief onto another teammate as well.
  • Thousand Arrows is a STAB move that gives Zygarde-C more of a offensive presence and can also allow it to hit hard it it gains Attack boosts from Spectral Thief.
  • Defog is another option that allows Zygarde-C to clear all hazards, which may be more beneficial for the other teammates.
Set Details
  • Unaware allows Zygarde-C to be an excellent check to certain setup sweepers, which is invaluable for more defensively orientated teams.
  • Safety Goggles allows Zygarde-C to be immune from from the most common form of sleep inducement in Spore, which can help it check certain setup sweepers more easily. Leftovers is also another option that allows Zygarde-C to gain passive recovery each turn, making it more reliable as a wall.
  • EVs are invested in HP and Defense with an Impish Nature to allow Zygarde-C to be able to wall physical setup sweepers such as Primal Groudon, Mega Mewtwo X and Yveltal more easily.
  • An alternative EV spread of 248 HP / 104 Def / 152 SpD with the Careful Nature can be used instead to allow Zygarde-C to better be able to wall special setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Gengar, and Deoxys-A. The 104 EVs in Defense are in place to allow Zygarde-C to avoid the 2HKO from Precipice Blades from an Adamant Adaptability Primal Groudon.
Usage Tips
  • Be weary of certain setup sweepers that carry ability-ignoring moves such as Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam. Threats that tend to carry these moves include Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, Primal Kyogre, Yveltal and Mega Mewtwo X.
  • Certain setup sweepers often carry Spectral Thief as well, meaning that if Zygarde-C pass stat boosts it gained from wither Spectral Thief or Heart Swap, the opposing pokemon can threaten to steal these boosts from the incoming teammate.
  • Normal-type setup sweepers such as Regigigas, Arceus, and Mega Pidgeot are also a nuisance as they are immune to Spectral Thief.
  • Zygarde-C cannot always switchin on certain special setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-A as they can sometimes 2HK0 Zygarde-C if it chooses to run the more defensive EV spread.
  • Baton Pass can sometimes lead the recipient onto unfavorable conditions if Zygarde-C had been inflicted with Leech Seed or Perish Song.
  • Zygarde-C can be worn down quite frequently if your opponent layed down multiple hazards, so try and remove them as soon as possible to try and alleviate this issue.
Team Options
  • Defensive Steel-types such as Solgaleo and Registeel can be great partners for Zygarde-C as they are able to sustain Ice and Fairy-type attacks that would otherwise dent Zygarde-C immensely. They also provide a Psychic-type resist to the team which can help Zygarde-C get passed certain special setup sweepers in Mega Mewtwo Y and Deoxys-A more easily.
  • Certain RegenVest users such as Mega Gyarados and Dialga can also be beneficial partners for Zygarde-C as they resist Water-type attacks which allows Zygarde-C to avoid facing certain Water Bubble users such as Primal Kyogre and Ash-Greninja.
  • Pokemon that can take on Normal-type setup sweepers such as Aegislash, Shedinja, or Prankster Haze in general can also compliment Zygarde-C quite well, relieving a form of counterplay to it.
  • Hazard removers such as Giratina and Mega Audino can also be quite useful, as they can clear the battlefield from all entry hazards, which grants Zygarde-C a much more easier time when switching in.

  • Fur Coat turns Zygarde-C to undoubtedly the best physically defensive wall in the metagame thanks to its titanic HP stat.
  • The EVs are invested in HP and Defense with the Bold Nature to maximize Zygarde-C's defensive utility.
  • Safety Goggles are paired as it allows Zygarde-C to bypass certain Spore users such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-S.
  • Leftovers is another option that can be used to grant Zygarde-C passive recovery each turn, although Safety Goggles is preffered due to it being more useful in more situations.
Usage Tips
  • Zygarde-C may not be able to switchin on certain physical wallbreakers if they tend to run Ice-type coverage such as Stakeout Primal Groudon or Refrigerate Mega Mewtwo X.
  • Although Zygarde-C can comfortably pivot in on a variety of offensive threats such as Mega Tyranitar, Yveltal, and Regigigas if they do not run Ice-coverage, and can then provide your team with useful momentum afterwards.
  • Zygarde-C cannot really switchin to powerful special attacking wallbreakers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Primal Kyogre, or Deoxys-A all to well, so be cautious of these threats when using Fur Coat Zygarde-C.
  • Certain physical setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Yveltal, and Mega Tyranitar sometimes tend to run Sunsteel Strike to bypass their opponents abilities, so be weary of these variants, as they can sometimes OHKO Zygarde-C if boosted enough.
Team Options
  • Specially defensive walls such as Dialga, Mega Audino, Mega Gyarados, or Registeel compliment Zygarde-C well as they can oftentimes be able to wall powerful special wallbreakers, which would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C. Registeel in particular can be great as it can resist Sunsteel Strikes from threats such as Kartana, Yveltal, and Mega Tyranitar.
  • Primal Groudon is a great partner for Zygarde-C, as it can threaten out many Ice-types such as Kyurem-B and Kyurem-W and can also break through many of Zygarde-C's checks in Dialga, Primal Kyogre (if Desolate Land), and Zekrom. Primal Groudon also works very well alongside Zygarde-C as Zygarde-C can Imposterproof Primal Groudon if it is not running Ice-Coverage.
  • Powerful Fairy-type wallbreakers such as Mega Diancie and Xerneas can also be good partners, as they can threaten out this Zygarde-C set if the opposing Chansey had transformed into it due to their immunity to Core Enforcer and their ability to hit Zygarde-C extremely hard.
  • Hazard removers such as Registeel or Mega Audino are also good options to add on the team as otherwise Zygarde-C can be severely crippled when switchin in if hazards are up.

Moves
  • Thousand Arrows acts as the main STAB move for this set, as the move can hit every relevant pokemon in the metagame regardless of their typing.
  • Will-O-Wisp acts as a great way to beat out opposing Chansey's that transform into this set, as they generally do not run a Toxic Orb to abuse the affects of Poison Heal. It also helps Zygarde-C cripple physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X and Yveltal as well.
  • King's Shield is a great option to check certain priority users such as Mega Rayquaza and Regigigas by lowering their attack stat, often forcing them to switch out. It also allows Zygarde-C to gain passive recovery from Poison Heal without fearing to be hit by any attacking moves for one turn.
  • Dragon Hammer is another option that grants Zygarde-C another STAB move that allows it to deal more damage against other Dragon-types such as Zygarde-C and Giratina.
  • Shift Gear is the main setup move on this set, as it allows Zygarde-C to become more of an offensive wallbreaker.
Set Details
  • Poison Heal grants Zygarde-C to recover 12% of its HP each turn while also being immune to other crippling status affects such as burns, which compliments physical setup boosting sets immensely.
  • A Toxic Orb is equipped to ensure that Zygarde-C is inflicted with the poisoned status to abuse the effects of Poison Heal.
  • *DISCLAIMER* An anonymous account suggested this EV Spread in the OMBF document without explaining exactly what it does. If you are the person that shared it, please PM me with an explanation upon how it is better then my suggested EV Spread. thank you.
Usage Tips
  • Be careful on switching on certain Core Enforcer users such as Giratina and Dialga, as the move can cancel out the effects of Poison Heal which means Zygarde-C would be hurt by the poison status instead from healed by it.
  • Once the Toxic Orb is activated, Zygarde-C can become a great sponge to annoying attacks such as Knock Off and status moves in general.
  • Try not setting up on certain Unaware walls such as Yveltal, Mega Audino, and Zygarde-C, as these walls can threaten to steal the boosts from Zygarde-C through Spectral Thief and pass them to another physical sweeper on the opposing team.
  • Assault Vest users such as Mega Gyarados and Dialga often carry Spectral Thief as well in combination with powerful attacks that could damage Zygarde-C.
  • Zygarde-C should only try setting up against opposing passive pokemon that cannot really immobilize it too much such as Aegislash, Giratina, and Solgaleo.
  • If the opposing team pertains an Imposter Chansey, try crippling it first with Will-O-Wisp before setting up as this allows Zygarde-C to not be threatened by the Chansey even if it starts boosting as well.
  • Try not to be too liberal when using King's Shield against priority users such as Mega Diancie and Kyurem-B, as otherwise the opponent can bait out the use of King's Shield and use another move not affected by it to be able to check Zygarde-C the next turn.
Team Options
  • Unaware walls such as Mega Audino, Xerneas, or Yveltal are useful team members as they can check opposing threats that may have steeled stat boosts from Zygarde-C. They can also check Chansey's that transformed into Zygarde-C if the Zygarde-C on your team does get forced out by the Chansey.
  • Powerful wallbreakers such as Stakeout Primal Groudon, Steelworker Kartana, Water Bubble Primal Kyogre or Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y are all great partners to break through Unaware walls that would otherwise stop Zygarde-C from sweeping effectively.
  • Bulky Steel-types such as Solgaleo, Registeel, or Magearna can be useful as they can take on Fairy and Ice-types that would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C out.
Strategy Comments
Other Options
  • A RegenVest set with Rapid Spin / Dragon Tail / Thousand Arrows / U-Turn is a decent set that allows Zygarde-C to be a specially defensive bulky pivot, but the set gets worn down quite easily by hazards such as Spikes and Toxic Spikes and Zygarde-C cannot really stomach Ice, Fairy, and Dragon-type special attacks all to well even with an Assault Vest.
  • A defensive Poison Heal and Magic Bounce sets are also quite good as Zygarde-C gains so much passive recovery from that ability, however these sets are usually outclassed by better defensive abilities in Unaware and Fur Coat.
  • Stealth Rock is a useful move on all defensive sets as Zygarde-C gains many chances to set them up thanks to its great bulk.
  • Defensive sets with Darknium Z and Icium Z for Parting Shot nad Haze respectively can also be used to prevent Zygarde-C from being crippled from Trick users.
  • A Soundproof special sweeping set with Quiver Dance / Anchor Shot / Shore up / Changling Scales also can work as it can lure and trap incoming Imposter Chanseys. However, their are several better special sweeping threats that can perform Imposter proofing shenanigans better such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Zekrom for this set to actually be that viable.
Checks and Counters

[Ice-type Coverage]:
Offensive pokemon who pertain Ice-type coverage on their sets such as Ice Hammer Mega Mewtwo X, Ice Beam Primal Kyogre, and Ice Judgement Primal Groudon limit Zygarde-C's walling capabilities due to the huge weakness it has to these moves.

[Fairy-types]: Fairy-types such as Mega Diancie, Xerneas, and Mega Audino can all threaten Zygarde-C out due to their immunities to Dragon-type attacks and their ability to fire off powerful special Fairy-type attacks, which can force out the Fur Coat set quite well.

[Powerful Special Attacking Wallbreakers]: Special Attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Primal Kyogre, and Deoxys-A can all threaten Zygarde-C out due to its lower Special Defense stat which often times cannot handle attacks coming from these threats.

[Taunt]: Zygarde-C can be quite limited if taunted due to it being quite passive at times, especially on more defensive sets.

[Trick Choice-Items]: Opponents that Trick any Choice-item onto Zygarde-C can be quite a nuisance due to it relying on the use of several moves on its sets to be effective, unless it is running wither Darknium Z or Icium Z.

Overview
Zygarde-C possesses titanic bulk, rivaling that of Eviolite Chansey, due to its outstanding HP stat and great defensive stats. It also has great Dragon / Ground defensive typing which allows it to resist many common offensive typings such as Fire, Electric, and Rock. This allows Zygarde-C to blanket check many common metagame threats such as Primal Groudon, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Mewtwo X if they lack Ice coverage. It can run many splashable defensive sets such as Fur Coat, Unaware, and Poison Heal which allows it to fit well on a variety of teams and is why it is sometimes nigh mandatory on more balanced builds. Zygarde-C can also run surprise sweeping sets as well such as Shift Gear Poison Heal or Quiver Dance Soundproof sets that allows it to garner more of an offensive presence. Although offensive pokemon such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Mewtwo Y can pull off sweeping sets much better due to their better damage output, they trade off the amazing bulk that Zygarde-C has access to.

However, it has a nasty x4 Ice-type weakness which offensive threats can exploit by running appropriate coverage moves to weaken it down immensely with examples being Refrigerate Mega Mewtwo X and Ice Beam Primal Kyogre. This typing also gives it a weakness to Fairy and Dragon-type attacks, which are also quite prevalent in the current metagame. Zygarde-C also has the misfortune of being weak or hit neutrally from all form of -ate abilities except Galvanize, which can severely limit its walling capabilities. It is also quite weak without any setup boosts, which means it can be quite passive at times.

Moves

Spectral Thief compliments Unaware quiet well as it allows Zygarde-C to steal stat boost raises from the opponent. This can be a viable method to check certain setup sweepers if they lack ability-ignoring moves such as Sunsteel Strike or Moongeist Beam. Heart Swap is another option that pertains similar affects to Spectral Thief where Zyagrde-C and the opponent switch stat changes, which helps Zygarde-C bypass Normal-type setup sweepers. However, the move is subjected to Taunt and is not as reliable as the opponent is still free to setup the next turn without too much risk. Haze is an alternative option that eliminates all stat changes on the field, which is very useful when facing Stored Power and Power Trip users due to their ability to deal great amount of damage with these moves when accumulating stat boosts, however unlike Spectral Thief, the move is subjected to Taunt which can be troublesome. Shore Up is a reliable recovery move that allows Zygarde-C to sustain itself and and be able to be a more consistent wall. Baton Pass allows Zygarde-C to become a defensive pivot and also allows it to pass boosts gained from Spectral Thief onto another teammate as well. U-Turn can also be used to allow Zygarde-C to provide slow pivoting without being stopped by Taunt. However, passing the stat boosts from Spectral Thief tends to be more beneficial at times. Thousand Arrows is a STAB move that gives Zygarde-C more of a offensive presence and can also allow it to hit hard it it gains Attack boosts from Spectral Thief. Defog is another option that allows Zygarde-C to clear all hazards, which may be more beneficial for the other teammates. Core Enforcer is an alternative STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to prevent setup from common Poison Heal users such as Regigigas, Primal Kyogre, and Arceus which can otherwise be problematic.

Set Details

Unaware allows Zygarde-C to be an excellent check to certain setup sweepers, which is invaluable for more defensively orientated teams. Safety Goggles allows Zygarde-C to be immune from from the most common form of sleep inducement in Spore, which can help it check certain setup sweepers more easily. Leftovers is also another option that allows Zygarde-C to gain passive recovery each turn, making it more reliable as a wall. EVs are invested in HP and Defense with an Impish Nature to allow Zygarde-C to be able to wall physical setup sweepers such as Primal Groudon, Mega Mewtwo X and Yveltal more easily. An alternative EV spread of 248 HP / 104 Def / 152 SpD with the Careful Nature can be used instead to allow Zygarde-C to better be able to wall special setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Gengar, and Deoxys-A. The 104 EVs in Defense are in place to allow Zygarde-C to avoid the 2HKO from Precipice Blades from an Adamant Adaptability Primal Groudon.

Usage Tips

Be weary of certain setup sweepers that carry ability-ignoring moves such as Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam. Threats that tend to carry these moves include Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, Primal Kyogre, Yveltal and Mega Mewtwo X. Certain setup sweepers often carry Spectral Thief as well, meaning that if Zygarde-C pass stat boosts it gained from wither Spectral Thief or Heart Swap, the opposing pokemon can threaten to steal these boosts from the incoming teammate. Normal-type setup sweepers such as Regigigas, Arceus, and Mega Pidgeot are also a nuisance as they are immune to Spectral Thief. Zygarde-C cannot always switchin on certain special setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-A as they can sometimes 2HK0 Zygarde-C if it chooses to run the more defensive EV spread. Baton Pass can also sometimes lead the recipient onto unfavorable conditions if Zygarde-C had been inflicted with Leech Seed or Perish Song. It also can cause issues if an opposing Imposter Chansey decides to pass off the boosts that Zygarde-C gained to another teammate, but running U-turn instead can help remedy this issue. Lastly, Zygarde-C can be worn down quite frequently if your opponent layed down multiple hazards, so try and remove them as soon as possible to try and alleviate this issue.

Team Options

Defensive Steel-types such as Solgaleo and Registeel can be great partners for Zygarde-C as they are able to sustain Ice and Fairy-type attacks that would otherwise dent Zygarde-C immensely. They also provide a Psychic-type resist to the team which can help Zygarde-C get passed certain special setup sweepers in Mega Mewtwo Y and Deoxys-A more easily.Certain RegenVest users such as Mega Gyarados and Dialga can also be beneficial partners for Zygar
de-C as they resist Water-type attacks which allows Zygarde-C to avoid facing certain Water Bubble users such as Primal Kyogre and Ash-Greninja. Pokemon that can take on Normal-type setup sweepers such as Aegislash, Shedinja, or Prankster Haze in general can also compliment Zygarde-C quite well, relieving a form of counterplay to it. Pokemon that can check common -Ate abilities such as the aforementioned Registeel, Solgaleo, and Soundproof Mega Slowbro can help Zygarde-C deal with these wallbreakers without taking a sever amount of damage. Hazard removers such as Giratina and Mega Audino can also be quite useful, as they can clear the battlefield from all entry hazards, which grants Zygarde-C a much more easier time when switching in.

Moves

Core Enforcer is a great STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to punish incoming switchins by removing the effect of their abilities. This can be quite useful against certain threats such as Poison Heal Giratina and Water Bubble Primal Kyogre for example. Thousand Arrows is another STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to hit Fairy-types more reliably, however the beneficial side effects from Core Enforcer usually outclass the use of this move. Shore Up acts as an reliable recovery move and allows Zygarde-C to sustain itself and be able to perform its role periodically throughout the match. Although once scouted, the opponent can then capitalize on the use of the move if used too often.

Set Details

Fur Coat turns Zygarde-C to undoubtedly the best physically defensive wall in the metagame thanks to its titanic HP stat. The EVs are invested in HP and Defense with the Bold Nature to maximize Zygarde-C's defensive utility. Safety Goggles are paired as it allows Zygarde-C to bypass certain Spore users such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-S. Usage Tips

Zygarde-C may not be able to switchin on certain physical wallbreakers if they tend to run Ice-type coverage such as Stakeout Primal Groudon or Refrigerate Mega Mewtwo X. Certain physical setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Yveltal, and Mega Tyranitar sometimes tend to run Sunsteel Strike to bypass their opponents abilities, so be weary of these variants, as they can sometimes OHKO Zygarde-C if boosted enough.

Team Options

Specially defensive walls such as Dialga, Mega Audino, Mega Gyarados, or Registeel compliment Zygarde-C well as they can oftentimes be able to wall powerful special wallbreakers, which would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C. Registeel in particular can be great as it can resist Sunsteel Strikes from threats such as Kartana, Yveltal, and Mega Tyranitar. Primal Groudon is also a great partner for Zygarde-C, as it can threaten out many Ice-types such as Kyurem-B and Kyurem-W and can also break through many of Zygarde-C's checks in Dialga, Primal Kyogre (if Desolate Land), and Zekrom. Primal Groudon also works very well alongside Zygarde-C as Zygarde-C can Imposterproof Primal Groudon if it is not running Ice-Coverage. Moves

Thousand Arrows acts as the main STAB move for this set, as the move can hit every relevant pokemon in the metagame regardless of their typing. Will-O-Wisp acts as a great way to beat out opposing Chansey's that transform into this set, as they generally do not run a Toxic Orb to abuse the affects of Poison Heal. It also helps Zygarde-C cripple physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X and Yveltal as well. Knock Off can also be used to cripple opposing Eviolite Chansey and Toxic Orb Giratina on the switchin. Dragon Hammer is another option that grants Zygarde-C another STAB move that allows it to deal more damage against other Dragon-types such as Zygarde-C and Giratina. Shift Gear is the main setup move on this set, as it allows Zygarde-C to become more of an offensive wallbreaker.

Set Details

Poison Heal grants Zygarde-C to recover 12% of its HP each turn while also being immune to other crippling status affects such as burns, which compliments physical setup boosting sets immensely. A Toxic Orb is equipped to ensure that Zygarde-C is inflicted with the poisoned status to abuse the effects of Poison Heal. *DISCLAIMER* An anonymous account suggested this EV Spread in the OMBF document without explaining exactly what it does. If you are the person that shared it, please PM me with an explanation upon how it is better then my suggested EV Spread. thank you.**

Usage Tips

Be careful when switchin on on certain Core Enforcer users such as Dialga and Giratina, as not only does the move deal super effective damage against Zygarde-C, but it can also nullify the effects from Poison Heal, meaning that Zygarde-C would take poison damage instead of receiving healing. Once the Toxic Orb is activated, Zygarde-C can become a great sponge to annoying attacks such as Knock Off and status moves in general. Try not setting up on certain Unaware walls such as Yveltal, Mega Audino, and Zygarde-C, as these walls can threaten to steal the boosts from Zygarde-C through Spectral Thief and pass them to another physical sweeper on the opposing team. If the opposing team pertains an Imposter Chansey, try crippling it first with Will-O-Wisp before setting up as this allows Zygarde-C to not be threatened by the Chansey even if it starts boosting as well. Try not to be too liberal when using King's Shield against priority users such as Mega Diancie and Kyurem-B, as otherwise the opponent can bait out the use of King's Shield and use another move not affected by it to be able to check Zygarde-C the next turn.

Team Options

Unaware walls such as Mega Audino, Xerneas, or Yveltal are useful team members as they can check opposing threats that may have steeled stat boosts from Zygarde-C. They can also check Chansey's that transformed into Zygarde-C if the Zygarde-C on your team does get forced out by the Chansey. Pokemon that can check -ate ability users such as Solgaleo, Aegislash, and Soundproof Mega Slowbro can also be useful partners, since they can switchin on powerful -ate attacks that would otherwise dent Zygarde-C. Powerful wallbreakers such as Stakeout Primal Groudon, Steelworker Kartana, Water Bubble Primal Kyogre or Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y are all great partners to break through Unaware walls that would otherwise stop Zygarde-C from sweeping effectively. Bulky Steel-types such as Solgaleo, Registeel, or Magearna can be useful as they can take on Fairy and Ice-types that would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C out.

Strategy Comments

Other Options

A RegenVest set with Rapid Spin / Dragon Tail / Metal Burst / U-Turn is a decent set that allows Zygarde-C to be a specially defensive bulky pivot, but the set gets worn down quite easily by hazards such as Spikes and Toxic Spikes and Zygarde-C cannot really stomach Ice, Fairy, and Dragon-type special attacks all to well even with an Assault Vest. A defensive Poison Heal and Magic Bounce sets are also quite good as Zygarde-C gains so much passive recovery from that former and can block status moves with the ladder ability, however these sets are usually outclassed by better defensive abilities in Unaware and Fur Coat. Stealth Rock is a useful move on all defensive sets as Zygarde-C gains many chances to set them up thanks to its great bulk. Defensive sets with Darknium Z and Icium Z for Parting Shot nad Haze respectively can also be used to prevent Zygarde-C from being crippled from Trick users. A Soundproof special sweeping set with Quiver Dance / Anchor Shot / Shore up / Changling Scales also can work as it can lure and trap incoming Imposter Chanseys.

[-Ate Abilities]: Zygarde-C is weak or is hit neutrally by many common -ate abilities such as Pixilate, Refrigerate, and Aerilate, which means common threats such as Mega Diancie, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Mewtwo X can severely dent Zygarde-C due to the damage output boosted by these abilities.

Ok implemented second QC check and finished write-up. Awaiting third check from Electrolyte

Also can i change EV spread for PH cause never got an answer

Ok I swear I'll make the Zygarde QC tonight, but I have to get ready to go somewhere rn and there's a few things I want to ask to other qc members and maybe random good players who happen to see this.

Well I say about Zygarde, but it's more about unaware mons in general. I've never been a fan of Spectral thief + baton pass for multiple reasons. It's a risky strategy and is incredibly imposter weak, if you run that on your Zygarde set than Chansey can easily come in on Zygarde as it copied boosts and turn the stra t against you by baton passing into anyone on his team, which can be devastating assuming they pass on something that beats zygarde. It's also imposter weak in the sense that you might just lose to your own mons after boosts, meaning that if the opponent still has an imposter alive you almost can't actually take advantage of this strategy because it might just be an auto loss for you.

It's also not particularly easy to pull off, if you baton pass while outspeeding then you need to correctly predict in order to not have the mon you bp into get bopped on the switch. If you bp and they set up then you either need to hope that you can beat them while you're both setup or that you can hard switch on zygarde and still be safe, being that your zygarde has already taken damage prior to baton passing (on the turn it used spectral thief) this can also be risky.

Finally it's not super reliable, it's only really useful on offensive teams where you steal the boosts once and hope to sweep. Other than that, in my experience the low PP of spectral thief can easily become an issue, it means that a mon that can boost and recover can easily stall out every spectral thief after which you don't have much check left and zygarde's piss poor offensive presence means you might just lose rn. And on a more defensive team it becomes an issue a lot of the time.

Basically it's not a particularly reliable strategy, can easily turn against you, is somewhat team specific (so it's hard to say it's the best in a vacuum) and I'm unsure if it's something we should promote to new players (by it being the first set in the analysis). I myself like to stay away from it as I find haze to be much more reliable throughout the game.

So yeah I just wanted to ask other QC members what they thought about it, I don't mind overlooking it if they all think it's good but being that I'm not the only one who has doubts regarding the strategy I feel it's worth actually bringing up the issue and talking about it. And since we don't have a qc convo and I don't want to make one I'm asking here (also because community input from informed ppl is welcome).

Uselesscrab Funbot28 E4 Flint Electrolyte motherlove
(btw heart swap is even worse in that aspect cause mons can just boost again but you can only heart swap once before giving them back their previous boosts)

Another note (more about zyggy this time) but being that prank and Unaware achieve p much the same thing, would it be possible to slap them in the same moveset? Smt like:

Zygarde-Complete @ Safety Goggles / Icium Z
Ability: Unaware / Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Haze
- Thousand Waves
- Shore Up
- Core Enforcer / U-turn

Also regarding the PH shift gear set, I was p sure investing in HP wasn't optimal so I did a bit of calc, you can get a bit more bulk on both sides by investing in defences instead, that is if you try to copy the spread exactly, but I tried looking for smt useful and came up with 228+ Atk / 84 Def / 136 SpD / 60 Spe which allows you to live and ice hammer from adamant don and an ice beam from mmy at full. I've never used PH set up so quite frankly idk what the best would be, but I thought I'd just mention it.

IMO Magic Bounce, Fur Coat, Prankster, and PH (with Will-O-Wisp to Improof), or even RegenVest are all viable. Its just Zygarde-C has so many options that its role is entirely dependent on rest of one's team, and it is pretty understandable if one analysis can't cover all this. Just mention the most important / viable / commonly-used ones in the movesets and mention others in Other Options category.

motherlove I'm not a QC member so grains of salt here, but, in my experience as I was quite fond of Unaware/Prankster Heart Swap + Baton Pass in the past, you usually try to coax your opponent into boosting at least twice, ideally more, before stealing and passing, ideally into an Imposter-proof set. It's disgustingly good against Contrary sets since they love abusing V-Create and Super Power, though those seem to be pretty rare above low ladder anymore. Your other concerns, however, are quite valid and, considering Zygarde's 4x Ice weakness, I'm not sure he's the best option to run such a set anyway. If the set does make it into the analysis, however, I'd recommend mentioning to goad the opponent into multiple boosts so they can't simply boost once to make the situation iffy for you and possibly also mention how it can really take advantage of Contrary sets and anything else heavily boosting its defenses, like a unprotected Baton Pass chain.

It can run many splashable defensive sets such as Fur Coat, Unaware, and Poison Heal which allows it to fit well on a variety of teams and is why it is sometimes nigh nigh? mandatory on more balanced builds. Zygarde-C can also run surprise sweeping sets as well don't need to say "also" and "as well" in the same sentence such as Shift Gear Poison Heal or Quiver Dance Soundproof sets that allows it to garner more of an offensive presence.

Zygarde-C also has the misfortune of being weak or hit neutrally from all form of -ate abilities except Galvanize, which can severely limit its walling capabilities. not necessary to mention that since it's not as meta defining or common as it was and you already mentioned weaknesses It is also quite weak without any setup boosts, which means it can be quite passive at times.

Haze to reset boost, chosen over other moves for reliability reasons I mentioned in my post, stab to do damage, arrows should be run if you run a switching move, waves + core can deal with PH set up and imposter, recovery for recover, uturn cause ship is valuable af. Mention that spectral thief / heart swap + bp is an option but is more team specific and risky and w/e else I said in my post + set up mons that carry spectral thief

Set Details

Unaware allows Zygarde-C to ignore stat boosts, while prank + haze can remove them before taking a hit, this makes zyggy be an excellent check to certain setup sweepers, which is invaluable for more defensively orientated teams. Safety Goggles allows Zygarde-C to be immune from from the most common form of sleep inducement in Spore, which can help it check certain setup sweepers more easily. While groundium makes zygarde immune to trick, meaning it can solo groudon assist spam team. Tectonic rage can also be used in case of emergency or to deal with entrainment gengar Leftovers is also another option that allows Zygarde-C to gain passive recovery each turn, making it more reliable as a wall Leftovers is another option on any defensive pokemon but generally has less utility than the other two items. EVs are invested in HP and Defense with an Impish Relaxed Nature to allow Zygarde-C to be able to wall physical setup sweepers such as Primal Groudon, Mega Mewtwo X and Yveltal more easily, min speed for pivot and core as zyggy can underspeed base 90. An alternative EV spread of 248 HP / 104 Def / 152 SpD (you're missing 4 EVs) with the Careful Sassy Nature can be used instead to allow Zygarde-C to better be able to wall special setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Gengar, and Deoxys-A. The 104 EVs in Defense are in place to allow Zygarde-C to avoid the 2HKO from Precipice Blades from an Adamant Adaptability Primal Groudon. (252+ Atk Adaptability Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. 248 HP / 104 Def Zygarde-Complete: 286-338 (45 - 53.2%) -- 30.5% chance to 2HKO) I think you mean after lefties recovery, in which case you should mention it. (and in which case the 4 EVs you're missing go in def)

Usage Tips

When using unaware Be weary of certain setup sweepers that carry ability-ignoring moves such as Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam worth mentioning that zyggy is good cause it can eat sunsteel and power trip. Threats that tend to carry these moves include Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, Primal Kyogre, Yveltal and Mega Mewtwo X. Prankster zyg isn't as threatened by theses moves, but it's important to send it on mons that you predict will have set up as to not have to switch on boosted hits Certain setup sweepers often carry Spectral Thief as well, meaning that if Zygarde-C pass stat boosts it gained from wither Spectral Thief or Heart Swap, the opposing pokemon can threaten to steal these boosts from the incoming teammate. Normal-type setup sweepers such as Regigigas, Arceus, and Mega Pidgeot are also a nuisance as they are immune to Spectral Thief. Zygarde-C cannot always switchin on certain special setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-A as they can sometimes 2HK0 Zygarde-C if it chooses to run the more physically defensive EV spread. Scout for ice moves. Keep zyggy at high health.

Team Options

Defensive Steel-types such as Solgaleo and Registeel can be great partners for Zygarde-C as they are able to sustain Ice and Fairy-type attacks that would otherwise dent Zygarde-C immensely. They also provide a Psychic-type resist to the team which can help Zygarde-C get passed certain special setup sweepers in Mega Mewtwo Y and Deoxys-A more easily.Certain RegenVest users water resists such as regenvest Mega Gyarados and Dialga can also be beneficial partners for Zygarde-C as they resist Water-type attacks which allows Zygarde-C to avoid facing certain Water Bubble users such as Primal Kyogre and Ash-Greninja. as they can take on water bubble.
I feel like there's probably a way to arrange this paragraph in a better way since you find yourself listing the same mons everytime. Also worth mentioning that something that can take special hits in general is a good partner.

Shore Up acts as an reliable recovery move and allows Zygarde-C to sustain itself and be able to perform its role periodically (what?) throughout the match. Although once scouted, the opponent can then capitalize on the use of the move if used too often by getting free switches.

Set Details

Fur Coat turns Zygarde-C to undoubtedly the best physically defensive wall in the metagame thanks to its titanic HP stat. The EVs are invested in HP and Defense with the Bold Nature to maximize Zygarde-C's defensive utility. Safety Goggles are paired as it allows Zygarde-C to bypass certain Spore users such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-S. groundium can be used for reasons mentioned in the other set Leftovers is another option that can be used to grant Zygarde-C passive recovery each turn, although Safety Goggles is preffered due to it being more useful in more situations. Minimal investment in Speed can is also be useful to ensure that core enforecer and uturn go second against against mons like giratina Zygarde-C can utilize the effects of Core Enforcer much more often.

Usage Tips

Zygarde-C may not be able to switchin on certain physical wallbreakers if they tend to run Ice-type coverage such as Stakeout Primal Groudon or Refrigerate Mega Mewtwo X. Although Zygarde-C can comfortably pivot in on a variety of offensive threats such as Mega Tyranitar, Yveltal, and Regigigas if they do not run Ice-coverage, and can then provide your team with useful momentum afterwards. Zygarde-C cannot really switchin to powerful special attacking wallbreakers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Primal Kyogre, or Deoxys-A all to well, so be cautious of these threats when using Fur Coat Zygarde-C. Certain physical setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Yveltal, and Mega Tyranitar sometimes tend to run Sunsteel Strike to bypass their opponents abilities, so be weary of these variants, as they can sometimes OHKO Zygarde-C if boosted enough.fur coat zyg is also so bulky you can afford to be more reckless and uturn more often as you don't need to be at full health to switch on stuff

Team Options

Specially defensive walls such as Dialga, Mega Audino, Mega Gyarados, or Registeel compliment Zygarde-C well as they can oftentimes be able to wall powerful special wallbreakers, which would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C. Registeel in particular can be great as it can resist Sunsteel Strikes from threats such as Kartana, Yveltal, and Mega Tyranitar yeah don't send registeel on ttar or ybird, they'll just power trip you and you'll die. Hazard removers such as Registeel or Mega Audino are also good options to add on the team as otherwise Zygarde-C can be severely crippled when switchin in if hazards are up.

It also helps Zygarde-C cripple physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X and Yveltal as well. taunt can be used to stop defensive wall from ecovering or hazing away boosts, in which case sacred fire should be used instead of wow to beat chansey. Knock Off can also be used to cripple opposing Eviolite Chansey and Toxic Orb Giratina on the switchin. Dragon Hammer is another option that grants Zygarde-C another STAB move that allows it to deal more damage against other Dragon-types such as Zygarde-C and Giratina. Shift Gear is the main setup move on this set, as it allows Zygarde-C to become more of an offensive wallbreaker sweeper.

Set Details

Poison Heal grants allows Zygarde-C to recover 12% of its HP each turn while also being immune to other crippling status affects such as burns, which compliments physical setup boosting sets immensely. A Toxic Orb is equipped to ensure that Zygarde-C is inflicted with the poisoned status to abuse the effects of Poison Heal. EV's are maxed out in Attack to ensure Zygarde-C hits as hard as possible when attacking. The remaining EV's were placed in Speed and HP to ensure that Zygarde outspeeds Pheromosa at +2, while also making it bulky to help it set up much easier.

A RegenVest set with Rapid Spin / Dragon Tail / Metal Burst / U-Turn regenves zyg should run core tbh, checks a bunch of shit like PH ogre or aerilate ray is a decent set that allows Zygarde-C to be a specially defensive bulky pivot, but the set gets worn down quite easily by hazards such as Spikes and Toxic Spikes and Zygarde-C cannot really stomach Ice, Fairy, and Dragon-type special attacks all to well even with an Assault Vest. A Soundproof special sweeping set with Quiver Dance / Anchor Shot (why anchor shot and not waves? Haze deals damage to steel types) / Shore up / Changling Scales also can work as it can lure and trap incoming Imposter Chanseys. However, their are several better special sweeping threats that can perform Imposter proofing shenanigans better such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Zekrom for this set to actually be that viable.
Zyggy can run alsmot any defensive ability because of its retarded bulk

Seems good, that's a check.

Improofing?

Also I suggest you tagging Funbot28, since she is working on Zygarde-C analysis.

Also suggesting Illusion as an option for choiced groudon due to many teams' reliance on steel walls to check offense.

This set doesnt seem to have too much problem against imposter since it boosts defense alongside offense and usually has a sub up. I personally dont think of improofing as an intrinsic necessity for every single form of setup set since i play almost exclusively Ho and rely on team syergy or dedicated setup stoppers for them.

If you haven't noticed, I have posted a Illusion team in the Balanced Hackmons Metagame thread. It has Choice Specs Mega Rayquaza and Choice Band Primal Groudon under illusion.

Also if you want the discussions like this, I suggest you to do it in this thread. I will be glad to make further discussions.

Moves

Haze allows Zygarde-C to reset all stat changes on the field, allowing it to check many common setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Primal Groudon, and Regigiggas. Thousand Waves is a great STAB move that allows Zygarde-C to trap opposing pokemon an proceed to stall them. Thousand Arrows is alternative STAB option that can be used if Zygarde-C is running a pivot move. Shore Up is a reliable recovery move that allows Zygarde-C to sustain itself and and be able to be a more consistent wall. Core Enforcer is a STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to prevent setup from common Poison Heal users such as Regigigas, Primal Kyogre, and Arceus which can otherwise be problematic. It also works well with Thousand Waves, as it allows Zygarde-C to trap and stall out Poison Heal pokemon. U-Turn can be used as a pivoting move that allows Zygarde-C to switch out on incoming pokemon that threaten to hit it hard, and provides momentum for your team. Defog is another option that allows Zygarde-C to clear all hazards, which may be more beneficial for the other teammates.

Set Details

Unaware allows Zygarde-C to ignore stat boosts, while Prankster + Haze can remove them before taking a hit, which makes Zygarde-C an excellent check to certain setup sweepers, which is invaluable for more defensively orientated teams. EVs are maxed out in HP, Attack, Defense, and Special Defense with a Relaxed Nature to allow Zygarde-C to become a bulky wall, allowing it to avoid the 2HKO from Choice Banded Primal Groudon Precipice Blades and Psystrike from Mega Mewtwo Y. It also ensures the effects of Core Enforcer would activate as much as possible.

When using Unaware, be weary of certain setup sweepers that carry ability-ignoring moves such as Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam. Although Zygarde-C is useful in the sense that it can usually avoid the 2HKO from common Sunsteel Strikes and Power Trip users. Threats that tend to carry these moves include Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, Primal Kyogre, Yveltal and Mega Mewtwo X. Prankster Zygarde does not fear these moves, however its important to switch it into pokemon that you predict will have setup moves, to ensure it will not need to take any boosted hit. Zygarde-C cannot always switchin on certain special setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-A as they can sometimes 2HK0 Zygarde-C due to its lower special bulk. Lastly, Zygarde-C can be worn down quite frequently if your opponent layed down multiple hazards, so try and remove them as soon as possible to try and alleviate this issue. Its important to scout for Ice-type coverage from common users such as Mega Mewtwo X, Primal Kyogre, and Primal Groudon when using Zygarde-C, as these coverage moves tend to have the chance to OHKO Zygarde-C due to its huge weakness. It is also important to keep Zygarde-C at high health due to it having a bit more of a difficult time checking certain threats if it is weakened enough.

Team Options

Defensive Steel-types such as Solgaleo and Registeel can be great partners for Zygarde-C as they are able to sustain Ice and Fairy-type attacks that would otherwise dent Zygarde-C immensely. They also provide a Psychic-type resist to the team which can help Zygarde-C get passed certain special setup sweepers in Mega Mewtwo Y and Deoxys-A more easily. Pokemon that can check common -Ate abilities such as the aforementioned Registeel, Aegislash, and Soundproof Mega Slowbro can help Zygarde-C deal with these wallbreakers without taking a sever amount of damage. Hazard removers such as Giratina and Mega Audino can also be quite useful, as they can clear the battlefield from all entry hazards, which grants Zygarde-C a much more easier time when switching in. Specially defensive walls such as Giratina and Primal Kyogre are also useful partners as they can stomach Special Attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y and Kyurem-W.

Moves

Core Enforcer is a great STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to punish incoming switchins by removing the effect of their abilities. This can be quite useful against certain threats such as Poison Heal Giratina and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre for example. Thousand Arrows is another STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to hit Fairy-types more reliably, however the beneficial side effects from Core Enforcer usually outclass the use of this move. Although once scouted, the opponent can then capitalize on the use of the move by getting free switches.

Set Details

Fur Coat turns Zygarde-C to undoubtedly the best physically defensive wall in the metagame thanks to its titanic HP stat. EV's are maximized in all stats besides Attack and Speed with a Relaxed Nature to maximize Zygarde-C's defensive utility, while also ensuring that it provides slow pivoting and also be able to activate the effects of Core Enforcer. Safety Goggles are paired as it allows Zygarde-C to bypass certain Spore users such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-S. Groundium Z paired with Thousand Arrows can also be used to prevent Zygarde-C from beign crippled by Trick Choice items and also can let hit Normalize Mega Gengar even after it has been inflicted with Entrainement. Leftovers is another option that can be used to grant Zygarde-C passive recovery each turn, although Safety Goggles is preferred due to it being more useful in more situations.

Since Fur Coat Zygarde-C possesses immense physical defense, it does not always need to be at full health in order to check physical attackers, meaning that it can choose to go for U-turn more often instead of constantly recovering its HP.

Team Options

Specially defensive walls such as Dialga, Mega Audino, Mega Gyarados, or Registeel compliment Zygarde-C well as they can oftentimes be able to wall powerful special wallbreakers, which would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C. Registeel in particular can be great as it can resist Sunsteel Strikes from threats such as Kartana and Regigiggas. Hazard removers such as Registeel or Mega Audino are also good options to add on the team as otherwise Zygarde-C can be severely crippled when switchin in if hazards are up.

Sacred Fire can accomplish the same goal most of the time as well, and can also hit Steel-types that are not hit super effectively from Ground-type attacks such as Ferrothorn and Kartana, Knock Off can also be used to cripple opposing Eviolite Chansey and Toxic Orb Giratina on the switchin. Dragon Hammer is another option that grants Zygarde-C another STAB move that allows it to deal more damage against other Dragon-types such as Zygarde-C and Giratina, although Poison Heal Zygarde-C is already pressed for moveslots that its usually not worth running. Shift Gear is the main setup move on this set, as it allows Zygarde-C to become more of an offensive sweeper.

Set Details

Poison Heal allows Zygarde-C to recover 12% of its HP each turn while also being immune to other crippling status affects such as burns, which compliments physical setup boosting sets immensely. A Toxic Orb is equipped to ensure that Zygarde-C is inflicted with the poisoned status to abuse the effects of Poison Heal. EV's are maxed out in every stat besides Special Attack with an Adamant nature to ensure Zygarde-C hits as hard as possible when attacking.

Powerful wallbreakers such as Stakeout Primal Groudon, Steelworker Kartana, Aerilate Mega Rayquaza or Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y are all great partners to break through Unaware walls that would otherwise stop Zygarde-C from sweeping effectively. Bulky Steel-types such as Solgaleo, Registeel, or Magearna can be useful as they can take on Fairy and Ice-types that would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C out.

Strategy Comments

Other Options

A RegenVest set with Rapid Spin / Core Enforcer / Metal Burst / U-Turn is a decent set that allows Zygarde-C to be a specially defensive bulky pivot, but the set gets worn down quite easily by hazards such as Spikes and Toxic Spikes and Zygarde-C cannot really stomach Ice, Fairy, and Dragon-type special attacks all to well even with an Assault Vest. A Soundproof special sweeping set with Quiver Dance / Thousand Waves / Shore up / Changling Scales also can work as it can lure and trap incoming Imposter Chanseys. However, their are several better special sweeping threats that can perform Imposter proofing shenanigans better such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Zekrom for this set to actually be that viable. Zygarde-C can honestly run any defensive ability viably due to it possessing possibly the best physical bulk in the entire metagame.

Checks and Counters

[Ice-type Coverage]:
Offensive pokemon who pertain Ice-type coverage on their sets such as Ice Hammer Mega Mewtwo X, Ice Beam Primal Kyogre, and Ice Judgement Primal Groudon limit Zygarde-C's walling capabilities due to the huge weakness it has to these moves.

[Fairy-types]: Fairy-types such as Mega Diancie and Xerneas can threaten Zygarde-C out due to their immunities to Dragon-type attacks and their ability to fire off powerful special Fairy-type attacks, which can force out the Fur Coat set quite well.

Ok Zygarde-C is finally ready for GP.

Also expect some QC checks when i get some free time.
Oh and also yeh Mega Chomp deserves an analysis, the PH sets get outclassed by Zyggy now but it still can fire off powerful Tarrows with Stakeout and has the added niche of outspeeding primals too.

Overview
Zygarde-C possesses titanic bulk, rivaling that of Eviolite Chansey, due thanks to its outstanding HP stat and great defensive stats. It also has a great Dragon / Ground defensive typing which that allows it to resist many common offensive typings types such as Fire, Electric, and Rock. This allows Zygarde-C to blanket check many common metagame threats such as Primal Groudon, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Mewtwo X if they lack Ice coverage. It can run many splashable (iirc this word is blacklisted...) defensive sets such as Fur Coat, Unaware, and Poison Heal which that allows it to fit well on a variety of teams (...and this is what splashable means so no need to replace the word with something else, just remove it) and is why it is sometimes makes it mandatory on more balanced builds. Zygarde-C can also run surprise sweeping sets such as Shift Gear Poison Heal or and Quiver Dance Soundproof sets that allows it to garner more of an offensive presence. Although offensive Pokemon such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Mewtwo Y can pull off sweeping sets much better due to their better damage output, they trade off the amazing bulk that Zygarde-C has access to.

However, it Zygarde-C has a nasty x4 4x Ice-type weakness to Ice which that offensive threats can exploit by running appropriate coverage moves to weaken it down immensely with examples being Refrigerate Mega Mewtwo X and Ice Beam Primal Kyogre. This typing also gives it a weakness to Fairy- (AH) and Dragon-type attacks, which are also quite prevalent in the current metagame.

Shore Up is a reliable recovery move that allows Zygarde-C to sustain itself and and be able to be a more consistent wall. Core Enforcer is a STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to prevent setup from common Poison Heal users such as Regigigas, Primal Kyogre, and Arceus (this is Arceus-Normal, right? if so, good, leave as is. just making sure.) from setting up which can otherwise be problematic. It also works well with Thousand Waves, as it allows Zygarde-C to trap and stall out Poison Heal Pokemon. U-turn can be used as a pivoting move that allows Zygarde-C to switch out on incoming Pokemon that threaten to hit it hard (RC) and provides momentum for your team. Defog is another option that allows Zygarde-C to clear all entry hazards, which may be more beneficial for the other its teammates.

Set Details

As Unaware allows Zygarde-C to ignore stat boosts, while and Prankster + Haze can remove them before taking a hit, which makes Zygarde-C is an excellent check to certain setup sweepers, which is invaluable for more defensively orientated teams. Safety Goggles allows Zygarde-C to be immune from from the most common form of sleep inducement in Spore, which can help it check certain setup sweepers more easily. Groundium Z makes Zygarde-C immune to Trick, meaning it has a much easier time facing common Trick Choice Item users such as Primal Groudon. Tectonic Rage can also act as an emergency tool to hit Entrainment Mega Gengat Gengar as well. Leftovers is another option on any defensive Pokemon but generally has less utility than the other two items. EVs are maxed out in HP, Attack, Defense, and Special Defense with a Relaxed nature to allow Zygarde-C to become a bulky wall, allowing it to avoid the 2HKO from Choice Banded Primal Groudon's Precipice Blades and Psystrike from Mega Mewtwo Y. It also ensures the effects of Core Enforcer would activate as much as possible.

Usage Tips

When using Unaware, be weary wary of certain setup sweepers that carry ability-ignoring moves such as Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam, (period -> comma) although Zygarde-C is useful in the sense that it can usually avoid the 2HKO from common Sunsteel Strikes Strike and Power Trip users, (period -> comma) such as Threats that tend to carry these moves include Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, Primal Kyogre, Yveltal, (AC) and Mega Mewtwo X. Prankster Zygarde does not fear these moves; (comma -> semicolon) however, (AC) it's (apo) important to switch it into Pokemon that you predict will have use setup moves to ensure so that it will not need to take any boosted hit. Zygarde-C cannot always switchin switch in on certain special setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Rayquaza, and Deoxys-A, (AC) as they can sometimes 2HK0 2HKO Zygarde-C due to its lower Special Defense special bulk. Lastly, Zygarde-C can be worn down quite frequently if your opponent layed the foe has laid down multiple entry hazards, so try and remove them as soon as possible to try and alleviate this issue. It's (apo) important to scout for Ice-type coverage from common users such as Mega Mewtwo X, Primal Kyogre, and Primal Groudon when using Zygarde-C, as these coverage moves tend to have the chance to OHKO Zygarde-C due to its huge weakness. It is also important to keep Zygarde-C at high health due to it having a bit more of a difficult time checking certain threats if it is weakened enough.

Defensive Steel-types such as Solgaleo and Registeel can be great partners for Zygarde-C, (AC) as they are able to sustain Ice- (AH) and Fairy-type attacks that would otherwise dent Zygarde-C immensely. Pokemon that can check common -ate abilities such as the aforementioned Registeel, Aegislash, and Soundproof Mega Slowbro can help Zygarde-C deal with these wallbreakers without taking a severe amount of damage. Core Enforcer is a great STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to punish incoming switch-ins (AH) by removing the effect of their abilities. This can be quite useful against certain threats such as Poison Heal Giratina and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre for example. Thousand Arrows is another STAB option that allows Zygarde-C to hit Fairy-types more reliably, however but the beneficial side effects from Core Enforcer usually outclass the use of this move. Fur Coat turns Zygarde-C to undoubtedly the best physically defensive wall in the metagame thanks to its titanic HP stat. EV's EVs are maximized in all stats besides Attack and Speed with a Relaxed nature to maximize Zygarde-C's defensive utility (RC) while also ensuring that it provides slow pivoting and also be able to activate the effects of Core Enforcer. Zygarde-C cannot really switch in (add space) to powerful special attacking wallbreakers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Primal Kyogre, or Deoxys-A all too well, so be cautious of these threats when using Fur Coat Zygarde-C. Certain physical setup sweepers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Yveltal, and Mega Tyranitar sometimes tend to run Sunsteel Strike to bypass their opponents foes' abilities, so be weary wary of these variants, as they can sometimes OHKO Zygarde-C if boosted enough. Since Fur Coat Zygarde-C possesses immense physical Defense, it does not always need to be at full health in order to check physical attackers, meaning that it can choose to go for U-turn more often instead of constantly recovering its HP.

Specially defensive walls such as Dialga, Mega Audino, Mega Gyarados, or and Registeel compliment complement Zygarde-C well, (AC) as they can oftentimes be able to wall powerful special wallbreakers, which that would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C. Primal Groudon also works very well alongside Zygarde-C, (AC) as Zygarde-C can Imposter proof (add space) Primal Groudon if it is not running Ice-type coverage. -ate (since this is an official term, I don't think it should be capitalized, even at the beginning of a sentence?) checks such as Registeel, Solgaleo, and Aegislash can also be great partners, as they can deal with certain wallbreakers such as Mega Rayquaza, Mega Diancie, and Kyurem-B that would otherwise threaten Zygarde-C. Moves

Thousand Arrows acts as is the main STAB move for this set, as the move can hit every relevant Pokemon in the metagame regardless of their typing. Will-O-Wisp acts as a great way to beat out opposing Chanseys (remove apostrophe) that transform into this set, as they generally do not run a Toxic Orb to abuse take advantage of the affects effects of Poison Heal. It also helps Zygarde-C cripple physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X and Yveltal as well. Sacred Fire can accomplish the same goal most of the time as well (RC) and can also hit Steel-types that are not hit super effectively from Ground-type attacks such as Ferrothorn and Kartana. (comma -> period) Knock Off can also be used to cripple opposing Eviolite Chansey and Toxic Orb Giratina on the switch in (add space). Dragon Hammer is another option that grants Zygarde-C another STAB move that allows it to deal more damage against other Dragon-types such as Zygarde-C and Giratina, although Poison Heal Zygarde-C is already pressed for moveslots, (AC) that so it's (apo) usually not worth running. Shift Gear is the main setup move on this set, as it allows Zygarde-C to become more of an offensive sweeper.

A RegenVest set with Rapid Spin / Core Enforcer / Metal Burst / U-turn is a decent set that allows Zygarde-C to be a specially defensive bulky pivot, but the set gets worn down quite easily by entry hazards such as Spikes and Toxic Spikes, (AC) and Zygarde-C cannot really stomach Ice-, Fairy- (hyphens), and Dragon-type special attacks all too well even with an Assault Vest. A defensive Poison Heal and Magic Bounce sets are is also quite good, (AC) as Zygarde-C gains so much passive recovery from that the former and can block status moves with the ladder ability, latter; (semi) however, (AC) these sets are usually outclassed by better defensive abilities in Unaware and Fur Coat. Stealth Rock is a useful move on all defensive sets, (AC) as Zygarde-C gains many chances to set them it up thanks to its great bulk. Defensive sets with Darknium Z and Icium Z for Parting Shot nad and Haze, (AC) respectively, (AC) can also be used to prevent Zygarde-C from being crippled from Trick users. A Soundproof special sweeping set with Quiver Dance / Thousand Waves / Shore Up / Changling Scales also can work, (AC) as it can lure and trap incoming Imposter Chanseys. However, their there (:/) are several better special sweeping threats that can perform Imposter-proofing (AH) shenanigans better such as Mega Gengar, Mega Rayquaza, and Zekrom for this set to actually be that viable. Zygarde-C can honestly run any defensive ability viably due to it possessing possibly the best physical bulk in the entire metagame.

Checks and Counters

Ice-type Coverage:
Offensive Pokemon who that pertain carry Ice-type coverage on their sets such as Ice Hammer Mega Mewtwo X, Ice Beam Primal Kyogre, and Ice Judgement Primal Groudon limit Zygarde-C's walling capabilities due to the huge weakness it has to these moves.

Fairy-types: Fairy-types such as Mega Diancie and Xerneas can threaten Zygarde-C out due to their immunities to Dragon-type attacks and their ability to fire off powerful special Fairy-type attacks, which can force out the Fur Coat set quite well.

Powerful Special Attacking Wallbreakers: Special attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Primal Kyogre, and Deoxys-A can all threaten Zygarde-C out due to its lower Special Defense stat that which oftentimes (remove space)cannot handle attacks coming from these threats.

Trick Choice Items: Opponents Foes that Trick any Choice item (RH) onto Zygarde-C can be quite a nuisance due to it relying on the use of several moves on its sets to be effective, unless it is running wither Darknium Z or Icium Z.

Implement carefully, especially capitalization fixes - they can be hard to catch. Otherwise,
