[OVERVIEW]

Due to its Normal / Fighting STAB combination and high Attack stat, Bewear functions as a potent wallbreaker in the UU metagame. Its ability Fluffy in conjunction with its solid HP and Defense stats allows Bewear to check a large range of physical threats in the metagame such as Mega Beedrill, Scizor lacking Superpower, and Mega Aerodactyl. The coverage moves Bewear has at its disposal, such as Shadow Claw and Ice Punch, allow it to take on a wide variety of would-be checks like Gliscor, Chandelure, and Jellicent. However, Bewear's low special bulk and set of weaknesses let special attackers like Latias, Celebi, Nidoking, and Primarina force it out easily, even if they cannot switch into its attacks. In addition, Bewear's typing and Fluffy's mechanics give many physical attackers in the tier like Terrakion and Mamoswine a way to bypass its bulk with super effective Fighting-type attacks like Superpower and Close Combat or non-contact moves like Earthquake and Icicle Crash. Fluffy also causes Bewear to take double damage from Fire-type attacks, which prevents it from being very useful versus Fire-types like Infernape, Volcanion, and Chandelure. Bewear's base 60 Speed stat also leaves it outsped by the vast majority of offensive Pokemon even with maximum investment, although it still outspeeds most defensive Pokemon like Alomomola, Mandibuzz, and Blissey.

Moves
========

STAB Return boasts good neutral coverage and high power with no drawbacks. Double-Edge can be considered over Return when running an Adamant nature for extra power to obtain OHKOs versus Pokemon like Alolan Muk, Amoonguss, and Tentacruel after Stealth Rock damage, and it can also 2HKO physically defensive Mandibuzz. However, the recoil cuts into Bewear's longevity, and there is little reason to run it if not running an Adamant nature. Superpower is Bewear's strongest attack, capable of breaking Pokemon that Return cannot such as Scizor, Mega Aerodactyl, and Mega Aggron. Shadow Claw is used to hit Ghost-types like Chandelure, Jellicent, and Cofagrigus super effectively, and it also allows Bewear to compress its coverage of Ghost-types into one move. Earthquake is an option to 2HKO Doublade, which Bewear cannot do with Shadow Claw. However, Earthquake has less crucial coverage than Shadow Claw outside of this purpose. Facade is an option that allows Bewear to punish status effects from Pokemon like Rotom-W, Blissey, and Mantine with a 140-Base Power STAB attack. Ice Punch is an alternative option over Facade that allows Bewear to OHKO Gliscor.

Set Details
========

252 Attack EVs with a Choice Band gives Bewear an immense amount of wallbreaking power. The Choice Band does prevent Bewear from being able to switch moves, though, which is detrimental if it locks itself into a coverage move. 252 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature allows Bewear to outspeed Pokemon such as Adamant maximum Speed Scizor and Speed tie with Timid Primarina. Fluffy halves the damage taken from contact moves, allowing Bewear to take a wide array of physical attacks. An Adamant nature can instead be used in order to gain extra power, netting some important 2HKOs like Earthquake on Jellicent, but it is not usually preferred due to the significant drop in Speed.

Usage Tips
========

Bewear should use Return as much as possible due to its lack of drawbacks compared to Superpower. It should be sent in either on a free switch or on a Pokemon that cannot harm it significantly such as Scizor, Mega Aggron, or Blissey. Bewear should use its coverage moves as little as possible to minimize opportunities for the opponent to set up on it. Its coverage moves should primarily be used to damage predicted Ghost-type switch-ins or hit Gliscor if opting to use Ice Punch. Bewear should also avoid users of status-inducing attacks like Toxic, Scald, and Will-O-Wisp such as Rotom-W, Jellicent, and Tentacruel, unless it is carrying Facade. Try to keep Bewear healthy throughout the game if Pokemon that it needs to check or revenge kill like Scizor and Mega Sharpedo are still in play.

Team Options
========

Bewear fits best on bulky offense due to its great physical bulk and wallbreaking capabilities. Pursuit support from Pokemon such as Mega Absol, Alolan Muk, and Krookodile can help to remove Ghost- and Psychic-types like Jellicent, Chandelure, and Latias, which Bewear struggles with. As an extension to this, Dark-types in general such as Hydreigon and Mega Sharpedo help versus Ghost-types and can allow Bewear to forgo Shadow Claw for Earthquake. Users of U-turn and Volt Switch like Scizor, Hydreigon, and Rotom-W can help to bring Bewear in safely to wallbreak. Specially bulky Pokemon such as Alolan Muk and Empoleon can help to take attacks from Pokemon like Primarina that Bewear cannot. Wish support from Pokemon like Alomomola and Sylveon, Healing Wish support from Latias and Alomomola, and Heal Bell support from Pokemon like Togekiss and Sylveon can help to keep Bewear as healthy as possible throughout a match. Stealth Rock support from Pokemon like Swampert, Empoleon, and Gliscor and Spikes support from Klefki both assist in Bewear's wallbreaking capabilities by dealing residual damage to the opposing team. Entry hazard removal support from Pokemon such as Tentacruel, Mega Blastoise, and Starmie can help to prevent Bewear from being worn down by switching into Spikes and Toxic Spikes. Setup sweepers like Scizor, Latias, and Mega Altaria appreciate Bewear's ability to wear down opposing teams so that they can sweep more easily.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Hammer Arm is an option over Superpower for the less severe drawback of a Speed drop, but the lower power and accuracy make Superpower heavily preferred. Bewear can attempt to use a Swords Dance set with options like Normalium Z and Double-Edge or Fightinium Z and Superpower to obtain greater wallbreaking power than a Choice Band set, but its low Speed stat and lack of priority attacks make it very difficult for Bewear to sweep, and this set is largely outclassed by Heracross as a Swords Dance wallbreaker.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ghost-types**: Pokemon like Cofagrigus, Jellicent, Chandelure, and Doublade are immune to both of Bewear's STAB attacks, although most of these must be wary of Bewear's coverage moves.

**Special Attackers**: Pokemon like Primarina, Togekiss, and Latias can all force out Bewear with the threat of their strong special attacks, even if they cannot switch in directly.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Mamoswine, Mega Sceptile, and Mega Manectric can all outspeed Bewear and heavily damage it with strong non-contact attacks.

**Fighting-types**: Strong Fighting-types like Heracross, Mienshao, and Terrakion can all heavily damage Bewear even through Fluffy.

**Fire-types**: Entei, Darmanitan, Infernape, and Volcanion can all take advantage of Fluffy's artificial weakness to Fire-type attacks to threaten Bewear.

Overview
* Add something about Bewear's good amount of coverage options that it has at its disposal. Use Ice Punch and Shadow Claw as examples.
* Specify Scizor lacking Superpower or give a different example of a physical attacker Bewear can check in your second line.
* I think that when you mention its drawbacks, saying that a lot of physical attackers have ways around it either through super effective attacks or non-contact physical moves is important. Be sure to give examples of Pokemon that fit that criteria as well.
* I'd also say something about how Fluffy leaves Bewear weak to Fire-type attacks, which keeps it from being too useful against the likes of Infernape, Volcanion, and Chandelure.

Set
* Switch the slashes of Earthquake and Ice Punch so that EQ is slashed with Shadow Claw and Ice Punch is slashed with Facade. Earthquake is only really used for 2HKOing Doublade, since Shadow Claw can't, so it wouldn't make sense to slash it with Facade.

Moves
* Move the Earthquake line after the Shadow Claw line, as they're slashed with one another now.
* You really only need to list Gliscor as an Ice Punch target, since hitting Glisc for an OHKO is really all the move is for.
* Change the Earthquake line. In all honesty its only use is to 2HKO Doublade since Shadow Claw can't, so say that.

Team Options
* 'turning several 2HKOs into OHKOs.' - give examples.
* In addition to the Pursuit line, I'd just add in a line about Ghost-type checks in general and say that they allow Bewear to forego using Shadow Claw. Give examples.
* Add a line on setup sweepers, give examples, and say that they appreciate Bewear as a teammate capable of weakening opposing teams for them to clean up.

Checks and Counters
* The Ghost-type section is a little too example heavy, so remove the Decidueye example, as it's the least relevant of those listed.
* The Fire-type section is also a little example heavy, so remove Chandelure since it's already listed as an example in the Ghost-type section. Also say that Entei can threaten to burn Bewear due Sacred Fire's high burn chance.

Good work! QC 1/3 after this is implemented.

Moves
  • Include the types of mons that spread around status that Facade can potentially punish (Blissey, Mantine, Tentacruel, etc)
Set Details
  • I'd mention the negative effects that come with Choice Band whether it's in the same line or in a new one, mainly because you reference avoiding locking into coverage moves in usage tips
Team Options
  • Give a mention to VoltTurn users that can bring it in safely to break shit, especially since you mention Bewear appreciating free switches and the importance of staying healthy in some matchups in usage tips
Other Options
  • Just a small thing but I'd emphasize that an SD set would primarily be used to break as opposed to sweep, same for Heracross
Overall, pretty solid and hilomilo covered most of it, QC 2/3 when implemented

Overview:

Add an example of a physical attacker that can "bypass Bewear's ability-based bulk with super effective Fighting-type attacks". Right now it reads like you're saying that Mamoswine runs Superpower or Close Combat.

Choice Band:

Emphasize the fact that the main reason to run Shadow Claw is so that you can compress your coverage to hit Ghost-types and still maintain access to Facade to punish status. The only Ghost-type that Shadow Claw beats that Earthquake doesn't is Jellicent, and even then Adamant Earthquake 2HKOs with a little prior damage. Speaking of which, Adamant deserves at minimum a mention in Set Details and more likely a slash on the set, as the power difference is significant. Jolly remaining the primary nature is fine. Double-Edge deserves a mention in Moves as an alternative to Return because of the power increase, but not a slash on the set. Mention the value of Wish/Healing Wish/[Heal Bell/Aromatherapy] support in Team Options.

Other Options:

Be more specific about what a Swords Dance set would run (Normalium Z and Double-Edge, most likely). The sentence should read something like "Bewear can attempt to use a Swords Dance set with options like Normalium Z and Double-Edge or Fightinium Z and Superpower to obtain greater power for wallbreaking than a Choice Band set".

QC 3/3.
