Alakazam [WIP]

Alakazam

Psychic
Ability: Synchronize/ Inner Focus/ Magic Guard (DW)
HP: 55
Attack: 50
Defense: 45
Sp.Attack: 135
Sp.Defense: 85
Speed: 120

Everyone knew Alakazam as a frail, fast, special sweeper in 4th gen. He also was in UU. But, with the advent of dream world, he gains a new ability, magic guard. Now, he isn't tied to a single move with choice specs for power. Magic guard lets him use life orb with no repercussions. This comes at a cost of a little bit less power though, but being able to choose all 4 moves greatly makes up for it.

-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
-Psychic/ Psyshock
-Substitue/ Calm Mind

You want maxim power without being locked into a single move. So, the logical choice is life orb. This lets you change when the situation calls for a new move. The effort values are straight forward, 252 for the most speed and special attacking power. The remaining 4 don't matter usually, so they can go in HP of defense. The moves provide an all-around coverage, so Alakazam doesn't have to worry about hitting for NVE damage. Calm mind is to boost, and substitute is to stay in battle longer. If you choose to pick substitute, you can opt for leftovers to regenerate health.

-Guard Swap

This set is a little bit different from the one above. Instead of substitute or calm mind, you use guard swap. With Alakzam's speed, he will probably move first and get this up. This means that The other pokemon will have his extremely low defenses. You will want to go with psyjock for STAB instead of psychic, because you can take advantage of Alaka guard swapping his 45 base defense. The rest of the moves are the same as the last set. Again, you can opt for leftovers if you want to stay in longer.

If you choose to play this with multiple pokemon (double onwards), you need to have support for Alakazam. I mean a follow-me wide guard-esque support. If you don't want that kind of support, you need a pokemon that can take out the opposing team fast so Alakazam does not get hit.

Flash is right, you don't just move the stats over. Are you perhaps thinking instead of Guard Split? This averages out the defences of the user and the target. I could see that boosting up some of Alakazams pretty awful defences when used against a wall or something really bulky like Cress, as it'd lower theirs, and boost Alakazams quite significantly.
