Mechanics Acupressure targeting

What type of bug are you reporting? Mechanics

What is the bug?
With the move “acupressure,” if the move is used on an ally slot and the ally faints, the move fails. However, in the main games, if the ally faints, acupressure is instead redirected onto the Pokémon that used it.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Yes:

1: Have a double battle up, with a Pokémon using acupressure on the ally slot

2: use acupressure on the ally slot

3: have the ally faint before acupressure is used on it. Now acupressure will fail instead of redirecting to the user like it does in the main games.

I checked all gens with Acupressure (4-9) and can confirm this is how it works in Gens 6-9. In addition, in those generations, if a Pokemon's ally is fainted at move selection, it can continue to target the fainted ally slot, which will continue to "redirect" and give the user boosts.

In Gen 5, Acupressure fails when an ally was targeted but KOed during the middle of the turn. You can still continue to target the ally at move selection and get repeated failures.

In Gen 4, Acupressure will boost the user's stats if it had targeted an ally and that ally is KOed mid-turn. However, Acupressure cannot target a fainted ally at move selection.
